A Model Determining Purchase Intention of Halal Skincare Products Amid The Boycott Movement: The Mediating Role of Perceived Influence

The resurgence of consumer boycott movements against multinational brands following global geopolitical conflicts has reshaped purchasing behavior in Muslim-majority markets. This study examines the determinants of purchase intention toward halal skincare products in the context of a boycott movement. Drawing on the Stimulus–Organism–Response (SOR) framework, it investigates the effects of interactional factors, audience characteristics, sponsored marketing, and consumer attitudes on purchase intention, with perceived influence serving as a mediating variable. A quantitative explanatory research design was employed using a cross-sectional survey of 466 skincare consumers in Batam City, Indonesia. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire using validated measurement scales and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that interactional factors, audience characteristics, sponsored marketing, and consumer attitudes have significant positive effects on purchase intention, both directly and indirectly through perceived influence. Among these variables, perceived influence emerges as the strongest determinant of purchase intention. The study underscores the importance of leveraging social interaction, influencer-based marketing, and value-congruent communication to strengthen local halal skincare brands amid ongoing socio-political disruptions

Urgensi Pengaturan Hukum Carbon Trading Dalam Kerangka Hukum Lingkungan Indonesia

Climate change is one of the greatest challenges facing humanity in the 21st century. As a country with the third largest tropical forest in the world and a significant carbon emitter, Indonesia plays a strategic role in global greenhouse gas emission reduction efforts. Carbon trading has emerged as an innovative market instrument to promote efficient emission reductions. However, the legal regulation of carbon trading in Indonesia is still partial and lacks a comprehensive legal framework. This paper examines the urgency of establishing integrated carbon trading legal regulation within Indonesia's environmental law framework, analyzes existing regulations, identifies legal vacuums (rechtvacuum), and formulates policy recommendations. The research method used is normative juridical with statutory, conceptual, and comparative approaches. The results show that Indonesia needs a specific law on carbon trading that comprehensively regulates cap-and-trade mechanisms, voluntary carbon markets, registry systems, and dispute resolution mechanisms. Strong regulation will provide legal certainty for investors, encourage green investment, and accelerate Indonesia's transition to a low-carbon economy

This study aims to analyze the types of errors and the factors causing errors in Japanese sentence writing (sakubun) produced by Class 25A students of the D3 Japanese Language Study Program at Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Semarang. The study used a descriptive qualitative method. The research data were obtained from students’ handwritten sakubun assignments on the theme of family and supported by questionnaire responses from 24 students. Data analysis was conducted using language error analysis procedures proposed by Corder and Tarigan, which include data collection, error identification, error classification, error explanation, and error evaluation. Questionnaires were used to identify the factors underlying the writing errors. The results show that three main types of errors were found in students’ sakubun writing: vocabulary writing errors, sentence pattern usage errors, and particle usage errors. The most dominant errors occurred in sentence patterns and particle usage, indicating that students still experience difficulties in mastering basic Japanese grammatical structures. Vocabulary errors were mainly caused by inaccuracies in hiragana writing, while sentence pattern errors were related to inconsistent speech levels and limited understanding of grammatical constructions. Particle usage errors reflect students’ insufficient mastery of particle functions in sentence construction. Furthermore, the questionnaire results indicate that these errors are influenced by limited kanji proficiency, restricted vocabulary, interference from Indonesian, insufficient writing practice, and a lack of detailed instructor feedback. Overall, the findings suggest that both linguistic and pedagogical factors play important roles in students’ sakubun writing performance

Implementasi Pajak Penghasilan Karena Warisan Dari Harta Bersama Yang Berkeadilan

Taxes are an important instrument in national development that must reflect the values of justice as enshrined in Pancasila. However, in the practice of taxation on inherited communal land, issues of unfairness arise for substitute heirs (second-degree heirs) who are subject to a 5% Income Tax (PPh), while first-degree heirs are exempted through a Certificate of Exemption (SKB) mechanism. This regulation raises legal and ethical problems because it is not in line with the principle of substantive justice in Indonesian inheritance law and tax law. This study formulates two main questions, namely: (1) what are the applicable legal provisions regarding the imposition of income tax on the transfer of rights to land due to inheritance in the form of communal rights to substitute heirs, and (2) whether the implementation of these tax provisions reflects the principle of justice according to the values of Pancasila and the principles of Indonesian tax law. This study uses a juridical-normative approach with a constructivist paradigm. Data were obtained through a literature study of legislation, legal doctrines, as well as case studies from field practices, including interviews with taxation stakeholders. A dialectical hermeneutic method was used to examine the relationship between legal norms and social reality. The results show that, normatively, inheritance is excluded from the tax object as regulated in Article 4 paragraph (3) letter b of the Income Tax Law. However, in practice, this exemption does not apply to substitute heirs due to an administrative interpretation that limits the Certificate of Exemption (SKB) to first-degree heirs only. This creates legal uncertainty, discrimination in tax services, and contradicts the principle of justice in Pancasila. Therefore, a reformulation of administrative regulations is needed to be more inclusive, fair, and ensure legal certainty for all heirs without discrimination

The Impact of Supply Chain Integration on SMES Sustainability Performance: The Mediating Role of Agile Capabilities and Lean Outsourcing

Traditional markets play a crucial role in developing local products, with a focus on sustainable performance. Most of the traders in the traditional market come from small and medium enterprises (SMEs), which tend to struggle with increasing sustainability performance practices, often facing obstacles to supply chain integration as a catalyst. Thus, we examined the interaction effects between supply chain integration and sustainability performance, through agile capabilities and lean outsourcing as mediators from the perspective of Dynamic Capability Theory. This study uses partial least squares-structural equation modelling to explore structural relationships. The sample in this study consisted of 139 SME traders who had stalls in the Pancasari traditional market. The empirical results showed that the indirect positive statistical effect of agile capabilities and lean outsourcing on the linkage between supply chain integration and sustainability performance. Practically, encouraging SME traders to proactively build collaborative relationships with suppliers, distributors, and customers that share information on demand forecasts and enable rapid response to change through agile capabilities. Additionally, lean operations enable traders to systematically identify and eliminate waste by mapping work processes to pinpoint inefficiencies within the business

Legal Protection of Personal Health Data in Electronic Health Records in Indonesia

Digital transformation in Indonesia’s healthcare sector, particularly through Electronic Health Records (EHR), has improved efficiency and accuracy in managing patient data. However, protecting personal health information remains a major challenge. This study aims to analyze data protection within the EHR system in Indonesia, particularly in relation to existing regulations, such as Law Number 17 of 2023 on Health and Law Number 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection (PDP Law). Using a juridical normative approach and literature review, the study examines relevant legal documents. The research findings show that although regulations related to data protection are quite comprehensive, their implementation on the ground still faces obstacles such as a lack of legal awareness, infrastructure disparities, and limited human resources in hospitals. Furthermore, there is an overlap of authority between the Ministry of Health and the data protection authority, which could create legal gaps. The study recommends developing more specific regulations, strengthening inter-agency coordination, and enhancing hospital capacity to manage patient data security. While Indonesia has a robust legal framework, improvements in technical implementation, supervision, and hospital preparedness are essential to ensure effective protection of patient data within the EHR system

This study examines the use of intrinsic elements and narrative structure in the visual novel Fate/Grand Order, Chapter Fuyuki. Using the Freytag Pyramid framework and intrinsic element theory, this descriptive qualitative study aims to understand how classical dramatic structure is implemented in an interactive digital format. Data was collected through direct gameplay observation and verified using archival transcripts from GameFAQs as a supporting primary data source. The results indicate that Chapter Fuyuki consistently applies Freytag's five dramatic stages: exposition, escalation, climax, decay, and resolution. An analysis of intrinsic elements identified five key elements that contribute to narrative structure: plot, characters, setting, conflict, and theme. This visual novel features meaningful character development, symbolic background contrasts, layered conflict, and universal themes such as betrayal, responsibility, sacrifice, and hope. From a literacy perspective, Chapter Fuyuki presents a multimodal environment that strengthens narrative literacy, cultural literacy, critical thinking, and participatory literacy through player interactivity. These findings suggest that visual novels can achieve a level of literary complexity comparable to traditional texts while offering new and relevant forms of narrative engagement in the digital age
