Social eating factors associated with energy intake in urban communities aged 25-45 years based on the Indonesian Food Barometer Study
Previous research indicates that individuals who engage in social eating tend to consume larger amounts of food and purchase foods with higher energy content than individuals who eat alone. This excess energy intake can lead to excess weight in a person, which can later have an impact on increasing the risk of developing various non-communicable diseases. Social eating factors found to influence energy intake include eating companions, activity while eating, and cooking practices. This study aims to analyze the relationship between social eating factors and energy intake. The methodology used is quantitative research with a cross-sectional study design and data analysis using the chi-square test. The research sample was taken based on the Indonesian Food Barometer (IFB) study using a probability sampling technique with a systematic random sampling type, which then obtained a sample of 450 subjects aged 25-45 years in urban areas of Indonesia. The results showed that 2.4% of subjects had an excess energy intake, 56% of subjects ate with others, 71.9% of subjects ate while doing other activities, and 54.9% of subjects had their food cooked by others. The statistical test results showed no significant relationship between social eating (eating companion, activity while eating, cooking practices) and energy intake (p values: 0.605; 0.996; 0.555, respectively). It can be concluded that social eating factors are not significantly related to energy intake in adult age groups in urban areas of Indonesia
Facial Expression and Oral Motoric Exercises to Support Communication in Stroke and Aphasia Patients: A Case Study
Stroke often causes aphasia, a language disorder that hinders verbal and nonverbal communication and reduces the quality of life of patients. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of face expression exercises and oral motor exercises in improving face symmetry and communication skills in patients with aphasia stroke. A case study was conducted on two non-hemorrhagic stroke patients with aphasia at Dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro General Hospital in Sragen. The intervention was carried out for three consecutive days, twice a day, in the form of a combination of face expression and oral motor exercises using a mirror. The evaluation was conducted using the Sunnybrook Face Grading System and observation of oral motor function. The results showed an increase in the Sunnybrook score from 40 (grade IV, moderate to severe impairment) to 55 (grade III, mild to moderate) in the first subject, and from 47 (grade III, mild-moderate) to 65 (grade II, near normal) in the second subject. Both experienced an increase in face symmetry, tongue and lip muscle strength, and the ability to pronounce simple words. Face expression exercises and oral motor exercises proved to be effective as a simple, safe, and low-cost intervention to support communication recovery in stroke patients with aphasia
Clean and Healthy Lifestyle Education (PHBS) as a Strategy to Prevent Toddlers Diarrhea at Posyandu Mawar Kemayoran
Diarrhea is an infectious disease that is often experienced by toddlers. Diarrhea among toddlers needs to be treated promptly. Toddlers who experience diarrhea are susceptible to nutritional problems, especially weight loss. Monitoring the nutritional status and health of toddlers is very important and can be monitored through the implementation of integrated health service posts (Posyandu). Through Posyandu, education for diarrhea prevention and treatment efforts for parents of toddlers can also be provided. This activity aimed to provide education on diarrhea prevention and treatment efforts to parents of toddlers. Educational materials are provided through lecture and discussion methods regarding the definition, signs, symptoms, management, and prevention of diarrhea through the implementation of Clean and Healthy Living Behaviors (PHBS). Participants in the activity were 13 mothers of toddlers in the work area of Posyandu Mawar, RW 06 Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. Pre- and post-tests were conducted as a form of monitoring and evaluation of the achievement of this activity. The success of the activity is seen from the increase in pre- and post-test scores. As many as 77% of participants with post-test scores remained/increased from the pre-test score, which indicated that there has been an increase in participants' knowledge of the educational material that has been provided. It is hoped that this activity can continue to be carried out to further strengthen knowledge and motivate participants to implement diarrhea prevention and treatment efforts in their daily lives and improve toddler health
Health Promotion Edugame Media "Healthy Snacks" for Elementary School Students
The nutritional needs of school-age children increase with physical activity and rapid growth, yet many children do not consume a balanced, nutritious diet. One reason is the habit of consuming unhealthy snacks, which are generally low in nutrients and high in sugar, salt, and fat. This activity aims to increase elementary school students' knowledge about healthy and nutritious snacks through interactive, game-based education (edugame). The activity design included providing education to students and teachers, accompanied by pre-tests and post-tests to measure the level of knowledge. Initial observations showed that the types of snacks sold around the school consisted of wet snacks, dry snacks, and packaged drinks with varying nutritional qualities. After education through edugame media, there was an increase in student knowledge as indicated by an increase in the average score from 65,0 (sufficient category) to 73,2 (good category), with a difference of 8,2 points. Based on the classification of knowledge levels, before education, 25% of students were in the good category, 46,3% were sufficient, and 28,7% were poor. After the activity, the proportion of students in the good category increased to 47,5%, while the fair category decreased to 40% and the poor category to 12,5%. These results indicate that the edugame method is effective in improving students' understanding of the concept of healthy snacks. It is recommended that schools integrate this educational activity into thematic learning or extracurricular activities, and collaborate with relevant agencies such as community health centers or health departments to support the program's sustainability

Effect of maltodextrin concentration on the organoleptic characteristics, proximate composition, and total flavonoid content of instant beras kencur
Beras kencur (Kaempferia galanga) is a traditional Indonesian herbal beverage with potential to be developed into an instant product through drying technology. This study aimed to analyze the effect of different maltodextrin concentrations on organoleptic characteristics, proximate composition, total flavonoid content, and yield of instant beras kencur produced using the spray-drying method. A completely randomized design (CRD) was employed with three maltodextrin concentrations, namely 20%, 25%, and 30%. The organoleptic evaluation consisted of hedonic and sensory quality tests for both the powder and reconstituted beverage, while proximate and total flavonoid analyses were conducted on the best formulation (P3). The results showed that variations in maltodextrin concentration did not result in significant differences in organoleptic characteristics. The formulation containing 30% maltodextrin (P3) showed the highest mean sensory acceptance, particularly in terms of color and overall acceptance, and was therefore selected as the optimal formulation. The best product was characterized by high water and carbohydrate content. Total flavonoid content slightly decreased after the spray-drying process, from 0.24 ppm before drying to 0.22 ppm after drying. In addition, increasing maltodextrin concentration contributed to a higher yield of instant beras kencur powder
Maternal Knowledge about Breastfeeding Techniques and Burping Techniques with Regurgitation Events in Infants 0-6 Months
Regurgitation is the release of part of the milk that has been swallowed through the mouth without force. The factors that play a role in the occurrence of regurgitation is the mother's level of knowledge regarding proper breastfeeding and burping techniques. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between maternal knowledge about breastfeeding techniques and burping techniques with the frequency of regurgitation. The study design was cross-sectional with a population of breastfeeding mothers aged 0–6 months in the Karangampel Health Center work area. Total sampling with 96 subjects. Data were collected through questionnaires. The results of the study showed that 25 mothers (67,6%) had sufficient knowledge about breastfeeding techniques, with occasional regurgitation p-value 0,000 (p-value<0,05) indicating a significant relationship. A total of 37 mothers (77,1%) had sufficient knowledge about burping techniques, also with occasional regurgitation p-value 0,000 (?0,05). Maternal knowledge plays an important role in the implementation of correct breastfeeding and burping techniques. Therefore, every mother needs to understand and practice these techniques well. Given the importance of the influence of knowledge on preventing regurgitation, it is recommended that health workers routinely provide education on correct breastfeeding and burping techniques to reduce the risk of regurgitation in infants
