PRZEWIDYWANIE WAGI DEFEKTU KODU NA PODSTAWIE UCZENIA ZESPOŁOWEGO
In machine learning, learning algorithms that learn from other algorithms are called meta-learning. New algorithms called Ensemble algorithms have surfaced as a viable method to improve defect prediction models' accuracy and dependability. In software development defect prediction of software engineering is still a big challenge, and leads to the failure of systems, increases the cost of maintenance, and makes the development process more difficult. Consequently, defect prediction systems have become more popular as a way to foresee possible flaws early on in the development process. Defect prediction is the process that specifies the possible defects in the code written newly or the existing modified code without the use of code testing. This paper introduces ensemble learning ideas, reviews the traditional defect prediction models, and investigates ensemble learning techniques for defect classification and prediction such as bagging, boosting, stacking, and random forests, Case studies and actual experiments illustrate the important role of ensemble algorithms in classifying five severity types of defects and predicting the severity code of defects to improve the software development process by reducing the time and effort needed to determine the type of defect.W uczeniu maszynowym algorytmy uczenia się, które uczą się na podstawie innych algorytmów, nazywane są metauczeniem. Pojawiły się nowe algorytmy zwane algorytmami Ensemble jako realna metoda poprawy dokładności i niezawodności modeli przewidywania defektów. W rozwoju oprogramowania przewidywanie defektów w inżynierii oprogramowania jest nadal dużym wyzwaniem i prowadzi do awarii systemów, zwiększa koszty utrzymania i utrudnia proces tworzenia oprogramowania. Studia przypadków i rzeczywiste eksperymenty ilustrują ważną rolę algorytmów zespołowych w klasyfikacji pięć typów ważności defektów i przewidywanie kodu ważności defektów w celu usprawnienia procesu tworzenia oprogramowania poprzez skrócenie czasu i wysiłku potrzebnego do określenia rodzaju defektu
Usability analysis of graphical interfaces of travel websites according to the universal design principles
The article examines the usability of tourism website interfaces based on universal design principles, focusing on the growing need for accessibility. The hypothesis defines that altering the layout and increasing the contrast of interface elements will improve the speed at which users find and comprehend information. The research methodology includes an analysis of two tourism interfaces. They were tested by study participant using an eye tracker and the LUT survey. The WAVE tool was used to assess accessibility. The results, presented through heat maps, fixation paths, graphs and surveys, demonstrate that component positioning and increased contrast significantly enhance users' ability to quickly locate elements in the tourism application
"Pluralistyczna filozofia ochrony przyrody" Andrzeja Tomaszewskiego jako wyzwanie: Czy mamy problem z tożsamością europejską?
In the well-known and frequently cited article by Prof. Andrzej Tomaszewski, Towards a Pluralistic Philosophy of Conservation in the 21st Century, from 2002, the history of heritage conservation was divided into three periods. The earliest was called the period of “primary pluralism” because the diversity of concepts and approaches to conservation issues resulted from the isolation of individual “cultural areas” on the world map. The specificity of the second period was determined by efforts to unify the theoretical foundations of conservation work by popularising European experiences and models which, as it was once believed, were universal. The third period, which Tomaszewski believed we entered at the beginning of the 21st century, should be a time of “universal pluralism”, and the contemporary philosophy of conservation, focused on the issues of protecting cultural diversity on a global scale, will no longer turn against local experiences and traditions. The article aims to analyse the assumptions of the pluralism postulated by Tomaszewski in the context of the development of heritage studies and the transformation of UNESCO's global conservation policy. The periodisation proposed by Tomaszewski will be used as a primary reference for analyses aimed at identifying those trends in contemporary conservation discourse that engage in polemics with Eurocentric views. In the summary of considerations on Eurocentrism, an attempt will also be made to answer whether the progressive relativisation of European conservation traditions and values is equivalent to their invalidation as a starting point for new regional concepts for the protection and conservation of architectural heritage. The article will use the results of an analysis of UNESCO and ICOMOS documents, current research by conservation theorists and selected publications in contemporary heritage studies.W znanym i często cytowanym artykule prof. Andrzeja Tomaszewskiego "Towards a Pluralistic Philosophy of Conservation in the 21st Century" z 2002 roku historia ochrony dziedzictwa została podzielona na trzy okresy. W artykule wykorzystane zostaną wyniki analizy dokumentów UNESCO i ICOMOS, aktualne badania teoretyków konserwacji oraz wybrane publikacje z zakresu współczesnych studiów nad dziedzictwem
Fenomen urbanistyczny Lwowa. Identyfikacja i regeneracja wartościowych zespołów miejskich
Lviv is a historic city with the largest amount of historical and cultural heritage in Ukraine. The city has around three thousand architectural monuments. In Lviv, immovable heritage (architectural and urban planning monuments, historical monuments, monumental art monuments, archaeological monuments, and landscape architecture monuments) uniquely blends into a single urban entity with movable heritage (museum collections, movable artworks in churches, libraries, etc.). There is also a list of urban planning monuments, consisting mainly of sacred ensembles – churches and monastery buildings. Only the development of Rynok Square and the Citadel fortification structures represent urban planning objects of a different type. However, Lviv’s urban structure is shaped by unique street spaces, quarters with passageways, squares of various types, etc. The article focuses on these other types of urban heritage, which deserve preservation and protection. The status of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, granted more than twenty years ago, should be a key factor in the city’s development. The study highlights the presence of unique architectural-urban ensembles and zones in Lviv’s historic center, which hold exceptional significance on a pan-European and global scale. Together, they constitute the urban phenomenon of Lviv. It is proposed to distinguish seven such urban complexes, with concise planning and urban characteristics provided for each. Their unique phenomenological features are revealed. These complexes are not officially monuments, but they must be considered when planning urban conservation zones and in city development plans. Any transformations of these complexes should adhere strictly to methodological principles for regenerating valuable architectural and urban environments. There is a need to improve local and national heritage protection legislation, which should ensure the preservation and sustainable development of the unique urban character of the city’s historic center. Socio-cultural requirements have been formulated to restore the valuable conditions of each ensemble and the overall urban system following a period of unsuccessful reconstructive development during Soviet and post-Soviet times.Recommendations have been developed to incorporate the identified valuable characteristics of the historic urban structure into UNESCO heritage management plans, cultural heritage preservation programs, and specialized urban transformation projects. Bogata historia Lwowa wytworzyla w urbanistycznej tkance centrum miasta, kilka unikalnych zespołów architektoniczno-urbanistycznych, które wedlug naszej opinii mają wyjątkowy charakter w skali europejskiej i światowej.
Seasonality in the Design of the Environment of a Hotel Facility on the Example of the Rest House for Employees of Lublin University of Technology in Kazimierz Dolny
The authors analyse the impact of seasonality on the design of the environment of hotel facilities. As a case study, the Rest House for Employees of Lublin University of Technology in Kazimierz Dolny was chosen. The problem of variability of climatic conditions, and various forms of tourist activities, which require a flexible approach to design, allowing year-round use of space, is addressed. Both examples of space development in Poland and specific seasonal solutions for Kazimierz Dolny were discussed. An analysis of local conditions, including landscape values and cultural heritage of the city, was conducted. Proposals are presented for adapting the space around the rest house, taking into account the organization of spring and summer outdoor events, autumn cultural revival and winter recreational activities. Drawings of solutions for the recreational zones of the space around the Rest House of Lublin University of Technology are an integral part of the study. The article emphasizes that flexible space design can increase interest in the recreational facility and contribute to the development of the year-round offer of Kazimierz Dolny
ENHANCEMENT OF ARTIFICIAL IMMUNE SYSTEMS FOR THE TRAVELING SALESMAN PROBLEM THROUGH HYBRIDIZATION WITH NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENT AND PARAMETER FINE-TUNING
This research investigates the enhancement of Artificial Immune Systems (AIS) for solving the Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP) through hybridization with Neighborhood Improvement (NI) and parameter fine-tuning. Two main experiments were conducted: Experiment A identified the optimal integration points for NI within AIS, revealing that position 2 (AIS+NIpos2) improved solution quality by an average of 27.78% compared to other positions. Experiment B benchmarked AIS performance with various enhancement techniques. Using symmetric and asymmetric TSP datasets, the results showed that integrating NI at strategic points and fine-tuning parameters boosted AIS performance by up to 46.27% in some cases. The hybrid and fine-tuned version of AIS (AIS-th) consistently provided the best solution quality, with up to a 50.36% improvement, though it required more computational time. These findings emphasize the importance of strategic combinations and fine-tuning for creating effective optimization algorithms
Kilka uwag o zrównoważonym rozwoju sfery edukacji. Postulowana i faktyczna poprawa edukacji
The article contains the author’s remarks about the sustainable development of the sphere of education e in our country and in similar ones. The starting point is the Agenda 2030, in which the postulate of improving the quality of education and the goals to achieve it were formulated. The author focuses on the alliance between sustainable development and education, which on the one hand consists in teaching more than before about the sustainable development, and on the other hand, on the use of education to promote the idea of sustainable development. Comparison of the postulated state of the sphere of education with the factual state leads to the conclusion of a large and growing discrepancy between them. In addition, the implementation of these postulates encounters more and more difficulties in the present. In the ever more endangered world by natural phenomenon and by military conflicts, one has first to care for survival and not for the condition of education.
The study examines the role of social cohesion in the context of sustainable development of regional societies. It is proved that progress in the field of sustainable development depends on social cohesion as one of the factors ensuring the achievement of environmental, economic and social changes. A mechanism of social cohesion has been developed, the result of which, along with social stability and justice, strengthening citizens' trust in state and public institutions, social welfare, is a request for sustainable development of regions. The article proves that modern challenges, such as social inequality, migration and ethnic differences, can weaken the potential of social cohesion as a catalyst for sustainable development of regions.
To quantify the level of social cohesion, a system of indicators is proposed that integrates economic, demographic, educational and other indicators, and allows for a detailed analysis of the current state of social cohesion in various regions. Taking into account the impact of social cohesion indicators on the progress of sustainable development of regions is realised through the inclusion of indicators that reflect the level of social cohesion potential and, at the same time, are a source of data for assessing the achievement of sustainable development goals.
Using the example of the EU countries, the analysis of indicators related to the blocks of trust in institutions and economic indicators in assessing the level of social cohesion was carried out. The estimated indicators are also taken into account when calculating the achievement of the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS): SDG 1, SDG 8, SDG 10, SDG 16. The proposed approach makes it possible to take into account the indicators that are most vulnerable in terms of their impact on the progress of regions in the field of sustainable development, as well as to form a list of measures, the implementation of which will ensure capacity building of the social cohesion mechanism (hereinafter referred to as SCM).
The main innovative contribution of the study is the development of an economic and mathematical model for optimizing resources and prioritizing measures aimed at strengthening social cohesion. The model takes into account the amount of available resources, the need to use them for the implementation of specific activities and an expert assessment of their priority. This approach provides an objective and systematic solution to the challenges of sustainable development, focusing on social cohesion as a key factor. The study proves that the application of the model requires high-quality data, competence in the process of interpreting modelling results and active interaction with stakeholders. In conclusion, it is emphasized that the integration of social cohesion into strategic planning and the application of the proposed model are the basis for more effective and sustainable development of regional society.W artykule zbadano rolę spójności społecznej w kontekście zrównoważonego rozwoju społeczeństw regionalnych. Wypracowano mechanizm spójności społecznej, którego efektem obok stabilności i sprawiedliwości społecznej, wzmocnienia zaufania obywateli do instytucji państwowych i publicznych, opieki społecznej, jest postulat zrównoważonego rozwoju regionów.
Podsumowując, podkreślono, że włączenie spójności społecznej do planowania strategicznego i zastosowanie proponowanego modelu stanowią podstawę bardziej efektywnego i zrównoważonego rozwoju społeczeństwa regionalneg
Ocena strategii ochrony lasów pod kątem przywracania różnorodności biologicznej i zrównoważonego rozwoju: globalna analiza porównawcza
The escalating rate of deforestation presents significant challenges to the global economy, including the loss of habitats for endangered species and a decline in biocapacity reserves. This situation also raises concerns about overcrowding and excessive production, which can undermine conservation efforts. Addressing this issue, Sustainable Development Goal 15 of the United Nations emphasizes managing forest resources, preventing habitat loss, combatting desertification, and expanding biodiversity reserves. Its contributions have played a pivotal role in wildlife conservation, mitigating rural-urban migration and preserving land resources. Given the relevance of this problem, this study examines the consequences of ongoing tropical deforestation on the loss of endangered species habitats while controlling for biocapacity reserves, urbanization, economic growth, and industrialization across a large sample of 159 nations, further categorized into low-, middle-, and high-income countries. The findings from cross-sectional and quantile regression analyses reveal that higher deforestation rates, increased rural-urban migration, and greater industrialization threaten endangered species habitats. Conversely, increased biocapacity reserves and economic growth contribute to wildlife restoration. Granger causality estimations highlight unidirectional relationships between deforestation and biodiversity loss (as well as biocapacity reserves), while deforestation and industrialization exhibit bidirectional causality. The results further indicate that sustained economic growth leads to deforestation, biocapacity reserves, and urbanization, while urbanization contributes to deforestation. This underscores the role of deforestation as the primary driver of habitat loss for endangered species and the depletion of biocapacity, thereby fostering mass production. Urbanization and economic growth are shown to be causally linked to deforestation across countries. The study underscores the urgent need to safeguard forest reserves against large-scale land conversion for infrastructure development, industrialization, and settlement of overpopulated urban areas, as these factors contribute to habitat degradation and biodiversity loss. Conserving, restoring, and promoting sustainable utilization of ecosystems are essential measures to address natural uncertainties and advance Sustainable development goals. Ochrona, przywracanie i promowanie zrównoważonego wykorzystania ekosystemów to podstawowe środki pozwalające zaradzić naturalnym niepewnościom i osiągać zrównoważony rozwój
