SOE: Sistema de Orientación Estudiantil. Test Vocacional como recurso TIC Mobile
Get PDFThe accelerated development of the information society, gives rise to unthinkable challenges and challenges, through different technological advances, and in particular that of mobile telephony. Nowadays, cell phones are very powerful tools that allow a multitude of applications (mobile applications) with different purposes to be accessed through a single device of small dimensions. We will show throughout this article a mobile application of authorship called Student Orientation System (SOE). Which was created and designed to help potential entrants to the National Technological University La Plata Regional University (UTN FRLP) in the election, exploration of the professional careers offered by the UTN FRLP and as a means for them to discover which is his academic, professional and consequently work inclination. In this article we will show the foundations and motivations for the construction and development of the SOE application, as well as a detailed description of its functionalities that it provides. Finally, we will provide the conclusions related to this work.El desarrollo acelerado de la sociedad de la información, da lugar a retos y desafíos impensables, a través de diferentes avances tecnológicos, y en particular el de la telefonía móvil. Hoy en día los celulares son herramientas muy potentes, que permiten mediante en un único dispositivo de reducidas dimensiones se pueda tener acceso a una multitud de aplicaciones (aplicaciones móviles) con diferentes propósitos. Mostraremos a lo largo de este artículo una aplicación móvil de autoría llamada Sistema de Orientación Estudiantil (SOE). La cual fue creada y diseñada para lograr ayudar a los potenciales ingresantes a la Universidad Tecnológica Nacional Facultad Regional La Plata (UTN FRLP) en la elección, exploración de las carreras profesionales que ofrece la UTN FRLP y como un medio para que puedan descubrir cuál es su inclinación académica, profesional y consecuentemente laboral. En el presente artículo evidenciaremos los fundamentos y motivaciones para la construcción y desarrollo de la aplicación SOE, como así también una descripción detallada de sus funcionalidades que provee. Finalmente, brindaremos las conclusiones relativas a este trabajo
En busca de indicios de internacionalización del currículum: análisis del último cambio de plan de la licenciatura en Economía de la Universidad Nacional del Sur
Get PDFGlobalization has brought new challenges in higher education and the university tries to give response to this adapting to the socio-technological changes. In the current context, it is essential to seek how to develop the acquisition of skills and abilities through internationalization at home, specifically the internationalization of the curriculum, i.e., the incorporation of an international and intercultural dimension both in the content and in the teaching and learning processes (Leask, 2013a; Luchilo, 2017). The purpose of this work is to analyze the latest change in the plan of the degree in Economics of the U.N.S. (National University of the South), based on curricular documents and surveys. The results show certain changes but these do not seem to break with certain continuities, although, since a long time, the U.N.S. and in particular the Department of Economics, have carried out different academic activities linked to the internationalization of education.La globalización ha traído nuevos desafíos en la educación superior y ésta ha intentado responder adaptándose de acuerdo a como han ido sucediendo los cambios socio-tecnológicos. En el contexto actual, es fundamental buscar desarrollar la adquisición de competencias y habilidades a través de la internacionalización en casa, específicamente la internacionalización del currículum. Entendiendo por esta última, la incorporación de una dimensión internacional e intercultural tanto en el contenido como en los procesos de enseñanza y de aprendizaje (Leask, 2013a; Luchilo, 2017). El objeto de este trabajo se centra en analizar el último cambio de plan de la licenciatura en Economía de la UNS, a partir de documentos curriculares y encuestas. Los resultados muestran ciertos cambios pero éstos no parecen romper con ciertas continuidades, a pesar que, desde hace tiempo, la UNS y en particular el Departamento de Economía han llevado adelante distintas actividades académicas vinculadas a la internacionalización de la educación

Get PDFFor someone who has delved into the Lacanian conceptualization, it is inevitable to ask: Does Michel de Certeau read the concept of “coincidence of opposites” (coincidentia oppositorum) in the light of Lacan’s ideas (and in that case we will see the concepts of “Non-proportion”, the passage of the other to the Other, the three registers, the eye and the gaze, an anticipation of the topology of the Borromean knot)? Or rather, adjusting with all detail and rigor to the texts of Nicholas of Cusa, its reading allows by itself and without any deliberate effect, to arouse an affinity - certainly filtered through several centuries - with the interests and procedures of Lacan? I will let the reader appreciate for himself the indirect and oblique effect of an extremely original search, operated in the fifteenth century, between two heterogeneous registers: mathematics and religion.Para alguien que se ha adentrado en la conceptualización lacaniana, es inevitable preguntarse: ¿Michel de Certeau lee el concepto de la “coincidencia de los opuestos” (coincidentia oppositorum) a la luz de las ideas de Lacan (y en ese caso veremos desfilar la “no-proporción”, el paso del otro al Otro, los tres registros RSI, el ver y el mirar, una anticipación de la topología del nudo borromeo)? ¿O más bien, ajustándose con todo detalle y rigor a los textos de Nicolás de Cusa, su lectura permite por sí sola y sin efecto deliberado alguno, suscitar una afinidad – por cierto filtrada a través de varios siglos –con los intereses y procedimientos de Lacan? Get PDFWe explore the use of pari-mutuel markets in a peer-to-peer setting to generate a wide diversity of content offerings while responding adaptively to customer demand. Files are served and paid for through a parimutuel market similar to that used for betting in horse races and in lotteries. Our simulations are based on rational agents, which all act according to a set of simple rules. The results show that a favorite-longshot bias occurs, where agents tend to bet on longshots rather than favorites when following simple expected utility maximization. Furthermore, we have confirmed that the long-tail does sustain even when the agents only have a limited view of all files to pick from. If the limited view consists of random subsets of all files, the long tail is enhanced. If the limited view consists of the top most popular items, the long tail slightly decreases. We have also explored the effect of bounded rationality. Our results show that the system is robust in presence of a large fraction of providers that have bounded rationality. If the providers with bounded rationality pick random items, the long tail is enhanced. Conversely, if the providers with bounded rationality only pick their favorite, the long tail slightly decreases
