Analisis Upaya Guru dalam Pembentukan Karakter Siswa di Sekolah Menengah Pertama
This research aims to describe teachers' efforts in forming student character at a junior high school at Konawe Selatan, Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia. Teachers not only integrate various teaching competencies, but are also required to play various roles that lead to the formation of student character at the school. The subjects in this research were school principals, teachers and students. Data collection techniques in this research are observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research show that the teacher's efforts in forming student character include habituation, example, enforcing discipline, internalization and integrity. Meanwhile, the character formation of students includes religious values, honesty, tolerance, discipline, creativity, love of reading, care for the environment and responsibility
Exploring the Dynamics of Interpersonal Communication in Inmate Rehabilitation Programs at LAPAS KELAS II A Kendari
This study aims to determine the interpersonal communication of LAPAS employees in fostering assisted citizens in class II A Kendari Penitentiary. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, data collection in this study uses qualitative methods by observation, interviews, documentation and data analysis. This research involved 9 resource persons, namely 5 LAPAS employees and 4 assisted residents. The results showed that interpersonal communication of LAPAS employees in fostering fostered citizens involved several main aspects, namely. Openness from LAPAS employees is listening to complaints, opinions or ideas, providing good service and clearly providing information about the rules. Empathy of LAPAS employees understands and cares.The supportive attitude of LAPAS employees is in the form of moral support, material support, and assimilation support. The positive attitude of LAPAS employees is to be a good role model, control emotions, direct fostered residents in a good direction. The equality aspect of LAPAS employees is to be fair without any discrimination. Supporting factors for coaching are stakeholders, moral support from employees, premium wages for fostered residents, and security employees. The inhibiting factors of coaching are low awareness of fostered residents, low employee competence, and limited budget.Keywords: Coaching, Fostered Citizen, Interpersonal Communication
Bridging Corruption Articles” through the National Criminal Code: The Perspective of Corruption Eradication and Ta'zir
One of the tasks of criminal law reform is to consolidate criminal law provisions that are scattered in various laws and regulations. The drafting team has incorporated several special offences into the National Criminal Code as a bridge between the norms, making the National Criminal Code the epicentre. This raises normative questions about the position of special offences, especially corruption offences, when the norms are shifted to general norms in the National Criminal Code, in relation to the systematic enactment of Book I of the National Criminal Code, and whether the changes in the criminal formulation are proportional to the spirit of eradicating corruption. This research will focus on answering the above-mentioned normative concerns. This type of research is a normative research that focuses on the content analysis of legal materials in the form of Book I of the National Criminal Code, articles on corruption in the National Criminal Code and the Corruption Act. The validation process of the analysis results was presented in a forum group discussion with several legal aid organisations and university research institutions. The results of the research show that the intention of the drafting team to include corruption offences is limited to the technical consolidation of corruption offences in the National Criminal Code in the form of bridging articles. In the context of the fight against corruption, there are five crucial reservations, namely the disparity of penalties, the categorisation of fines, the powers of the State Loss Calculation Institution, the stagnation of the regulation of bribery offences and the harmonisation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption
Government Expenditure on Education and Health: Islamic Economic Perspective on Poverty Alleviation in Lampung Province (2018-2022)
Difficulties in accessing education and health services are at the root of poverty. The purpose of this research is to determine the impact of expenditure on education and health on poverty in Lampung Province 2018-2022 while considering the perspectives of Islamic economics. The method in this research uses a quantitative. The results of this research show that if government spending in the education sector increases, the poverty rate will increase. If the health sector increases, the poverty rate will decrease. If both increase, poverty will be affected. Government spending in education and health is in line with the principles of Islamic economics Al-Adl (justice), which implement fair and trustworthy policies, such as the regional government in Lampung Province always increasing budget and service facilities so that poverty in Lampung Province can decrease every year
Village Government Performance and Public Service Quality: An Islamic Economic Perspective in Bagelen Village, Lampung
The Bagelen Village government, as an extension of the district government, is responsible for providing the best possible services to the community to achieve overall welfare in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. However, Bagelen Village faces several issues, such as annual floods and complaints about the unequal distribution of social assistance. This study aims to analyze community satisfaction with service quality and the performance of the Bagelen Village government from an Islamic economic perspective. This qualitative research employs field research and literature review methods. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation and analyzed using SWOT analysis to assess the government's position based on strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The findings indicate that the performance of the Bagelen Village government is satisfactory to the community, with a focus on welfare through infrastructure development, administrative services, and fair distribution of social assistance. The performance aligns with the Islamic economic perspective in the Qur'an and Sunnah, aiming to reduce socio-economic inequalities in the village

The Influence of the Science, Environment, Technology, and Society (SETS) Learning Model on Science Learning Outcomes for Grade VII Students on the Topic of Nature of Science and Scientific Methods
This research aims to: 1) interpret the influence of the Science, Environment, Technology, and Society (SETS) learning model on the science learning outcomes of grade VII students on the learning topic of the nature of science and scientific methods; 2) interpret the implementation of each stage of the SETS learning model. The present study is quantitative research carried out at SMP Negeri 15 Kendari from August to September 2023. The research sample included grade VII1 students as the control class and grade VII2 as the experimental class. The data collection technique for this research is tests that are analyzed descriptively and inferentially, as well as observations, to interpret the implementation of the SETS learning model. The results show that: 1) hypothesis test results show that the value of tcalculated is 98.96 > ttable 1.67 , so it can be concluded that the SETS learning model influences students' science learning outcomes in the nature of science and scientific method material; 2) the teacher and student experienced difficulties when the SETS learning model was applied to the topic of nature of science and scientific methods at the stages of invitation, concept introduction, application and evaluation, yet, they did not experience difficulties at the exploration stage
Students' Perceptions of Memrise App Use in Learning Vocabulary
This study aims to investigate the students’ perceptions in using Memrise app in learning vocabulary. To achieve this aim, this research applied qualitative methodology as qualitative research. The participants of this study were 20 students with non-English major study programs. The data of this study were obtained from students’ written reflections through Google form that spread by WA Group. Thematic analysis was implemented in this study based on the concept of students’ perceptions. The result of the analysis showed that students’ perceived usefulness in learning vocabulary with the Memrise application has positively increased. The students also felt entertained in learning vocabulary, such as playing a game. The result also revealed that students implemented their words knowledge in speaking, pronunciation, listening and writing. The students were satisfied in learning vocabulary after exposing them with range of built-in features of the application, such as videos, audios, pronunciation guidance and reviewing learning systems. The pedagogical implication of this study is that the teacher/lecturer, university, and students can utilize this application as learning and teaching media to bridge them to acquire good range of lexical.Keywords: Learning Vocabulary; MALL; Memrise App; Students’ Perception
EFL Students’ Perceptions on Grammarly Use in Proofreading Essay Tasks
The mixed method sequential explanatory study aimed to investigate the EFL students’ responses to writing acquisition learning facilitated by Grammarly in terms of lexical process based on their cognitive perspectives in one of the higher Islamic universities in Kendari. The study utilized documentation, questionnaires, and reflection in collecting the data. The data was gathered from 8 participants based on inclusion criteria. The study found that students had responded positively to using Grammarly in proofreading essay tasks. The findings showed that Grammarly had several strengths, such as easiness in using Grammarly, increased student confidence in writing, efficiency in revision, writing improvement, convenience in using Grammarly, writing accuracy, time management, and satisfaction with feedback provided by Grammarly. Meanwhile, Grammarly's weaknesses were consistency and accuracy with the feedback. The study implied that the lecturer or prospective teacher could help improve students' writing in proofreading by using a helpful technology such as Grammarly.Keywords: EFL student’s perceptions; essay tasks; Grammarly; proofreading
PENGARUH KEPERCAYAAN DIRI TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA DI SMP NEGERI 1 LASOLO KABUPATEN KONAWE UTARA
Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 1 Lasolo bertujuan untuk : 1) untuk mengetahui kepercayaan diri, 2) untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa, 3) untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepercayaan diri terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Lokasi penelitian di SMP Negeri 1 Lasolo dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 76 siswa, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan adalah Stratified random sampling. Tehnik pengumpulan data yang digukanan adalah angket/kuisoner dan dokumentasi, sedangkan teknik analisis data menunggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kepercayaan diri berada pada kategori sedang 45% yang dibuktikan dengan menganalisis hasil angket 76 reponden. (2) hasil belajar pendidikan agama Islam berada pada kategori sedang 34% dari kriteria hasil belajar. (3) Terdapat terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara kepercayaan diri terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik SMP Negeri 1 Lasolo dengan nilai signifikan 0,00 < 0,05 dengan kontribusi sebesar 32,8% , sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel X berpengaruh terhadap Variabel Y
