Pengaruh Kualitas Penerapan Good Corporate Governance (GCG) terhadap Kinerja Keuangan pada Bank Umum Syariah di Indonesia (Periode 2010-2015)
Get PDFThe purpose of this study to determine the effect of the application of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) on financial performance as measured by the ratio of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non Performing Financing (NPF), Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), Net Income Margin (NIM), Financing Deposits ratio (FDR), and the ratio of Operating Expenses and Operating Income (ROA) at the Islamic Banks. The study population was the whole Islamic Banks that have implemented GCG according to the rules of Bank Indonesia. This research is associative to see the relationship between the variables of one another. The data used are secondary data from the annual report and corporate governance report published by respectively Islamic Banks 2010-2016 period. Samples collected are 10 Islamic banks by the number N = 60. The results showed that the application of GCG is based on data collected had an average of 1:55 to 2:20 that enter into the category of "Good". This means that the quality of GCG implementation in accordance with the BUS 11 indicators that have been set by Bank Indonesia. The results of the t test (partial test) showed that the quality of GCG implementation significant positive effect on the CAR, NPF and ROA. The quality of GCG implementation negatively affects the ROA and ROE significantly. While the statistical test results apparently GCG implementation does not affect the performance ratio of NIM and FDR

The economic management of boarding schools has started to be realized in practice management program making such suggestions and input on community needs boarding school itself and then by the authors analyzed using the theory of management. Management process the government in terms of management must be implemented by public boarding school, so the people here besides serving as executor of the policy as well as giving a response back on the policy made by Kyai and government. Boarding school is now generally a boarding school who was managing the assets of the local economy that aims to empower economically boarding school, for the existence and economic welfare of boarding schools, students, citizens around the pesantren. On this basis, the Management Boarding economically requires a protection (protection / defense) for the sake of continuity and smoothness of its management
Learning from Fables: Moral Values in Three Selected English Stories
Get PDFFable is not just a fun story, but more than that, it has moral lesson(s) inside of the storyline. This research tries to portray ethic value(s) in three selected English fable stories as well as to let the readers know that they can learn something from the fables. With this study, the researcher also correlated the value(s) to real life and Islamic views. To achieve the research objectives, the researcher employed qualitative research design with descriptive analysis as an attempt to provide an in-depth and comprehensive explanation of the data. The data of this study, gotten from the researcher’s random survey on Primary and Junior High Schools students on January –June 2015, are three selected English fable stories entitled “The Rabbit and the Turtle, The Fox and the Goat, and The Monkey and the Crocodile”. The results indicate that each fable has, at least, a moral lesson in its narrative, among others: Never underestimate the weakest opponent, Never give up is the key of success, Think first before doing an action, Being smart helps better in life, and Trust is the basis of relationship
The Interesting Teaching and Learning of Malay Language to Foreign Speakers: Language through Cultures
Get PDFThe interesting teaching and learning of Malay languages is a challenging effort and need a relevant plan to the students’ needs especially for the foreign students who already have the basic Indonesian Malay language variation that they have learned for four semesters in their own country, Germany. Therefore, the variety of teaching and learning strategies should be considered by the teachers to make teaching and learning become interesting, effective and not boring. Basic effectiveness of a language program was the factors of socio-culture, the style of teaching and learning, the students, and the characteristics of the program. This paper however focused on the socio-cultural factors (learning of cultures) and the activities program that enable to generate excitement and effectiveness in the teaching and learning of Malay language as a foreign language. In the teaching and learning process found that the more we gave the activities to the students, the more the students acquired the meaning of the lessons. In this study, the selected respondents were the two groups of students from TWG, Konstanz, Germany who have followed the Malay Language and Culture Program in the Languages, Literacies and Translation Center, University of Sains Malaysia, Penang, in 2011. The first group was started in March to June, and the second group in September to November. The research was based on formal and informal observations and interviews. Get PDFA statute of limitation is the passage of specified number of years that become the reason for abolishing of criminal penalties against someone who has committed a criminal act. Basically, all the perpetrators of criminal acts should be prosecuted in a criminal court to face trial, but there are things which abolish criminal prosecution such as the statute of limitation. In order to reform the criminal law, it must necessarily be carried out by reconstructing underlying ideas of such reformation, that is the materialization of justice. One of the ways to do so is by including the concept of absence of the statute of limitation as adopted by the concept of Islamic criminal law. This paper argues that the statute of limitation enshrined in the Criminal Code gives more emphasis on the rule of law, while the absence of the statute of limitation in the Islamic Criminal Law give more emphasis on the fairness and certainty. Achieving justice is not limited by time; whereas certainty is limited by the availability of valid evidence. To that end, the introduction of the concept of absence of statute of limitation into positive law is necessary to ensure that justice which is the main purpose of law enforcement. In addition, the introduction of this Islamic criminal law concept is also a strategic move to make Islamic law a part of the positive law in Indonesia.Keywords: A statute of limitation, Jinayah in Islam, criminal law in Indonesi
PENANGGULANGAN PROSTITUSI PERSPEKTIF HADIST
Get PDFProstitute as a profession has long been chosen by a minority of social actors among society in general. People perceive this profession as bad and disgusting. In spite of numerous efforts to eradicate it, prostitution as a profession keeps growing in number, size and modus operandi. Thus, the aim of this paper is to uncover the practice of prostitution thru a number of viewpoints, especially from the Islamic perspective. Results from data analysis suggest that Islam has several unique models in case of eradicating prostitution as prostitution relates to a host of other social problems. A combination of hard and gentle modes disciplining and is keyword to understand actions taken by Prophet Muhammad regarding prostitution in society
Character Values and Their Internalization in Teaching and Learning English at Madrasah
Get PDFLanguage is more than to express the ideas, believe, and thought or as intellectual based, it also expresses the norms, values, and even emotions. As the result, it is important to internalize the character values into the teaching and learning activity of English. Since the focus of this study was on the analysis of the internalization of character values without any experimental or manipulated settings involved, the design of this study was qualitative. The results showed that there were at least six character values performed by the students in learning English, they were independent, hardworking ethos, curiosity, democratic attitude, communicative manner, and reading interest. In addition, the character values were internalized by the English teacher into the process of teaching and learning even though she did not realize it
PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA ARAB BERBASIS KARAKTER DI SEKOLAH DASAR
Get PDFNowadays, Indonesia still faces various problems related to the moral issues. Many cases occur in the society which should be solved by the educators, such as: corruption, collusion, and nepotism in all level of Indonesian governmental institutions, juvenile delinquency, and drugs. To prevent those, the Indonesian government through education minister in 2010 established the 18 values of characters building. At school, this character building becomes the pivotal role in developing the characters of the students. This paper tries to describe how the teaching of Arabic done by implementing the values of the character building. The character building at SD Muhammadiyah Kleco is done by centralizing the role of teachers. The role of teachers in building the moral characters of the students is done by applying the principle role as teacher, such as: catalyst, row model, inspirer, motivator, dynamist, and evaluator. The teaching of Arabic skills,-listening (istima'), speaking (kalam), reading (qiro'ah), and writing (kitabah)-, is done by implementing the moral character such as: religiosity, honesty, tolerance, independency, democratic, curiosity, friendship, social awareness, responsibility, discipline, environmental care, and appreciation
Analisis Kritis Pemikiran Wahbah Az-zuḥailī tentang Penetapan Talak
Get PDFThis title of this article is An Analysis of Critical Thought Wahbah az-Zuḥailī Concerning Determination Separations. The purpose of this article was to assess the Wahbah az-Zuḥailī thinking about the establishment of divorce, legal istinbath methods used, as well as the relevance of thought Wahbah az-Zuḥailī the context of divorces in Indonesia. The results of the article showed that the determination of divorce divided into two divorces that do not require a court judgment and divorce which require a court decision. Separations that do not require a court decision is divorce by pronouncing talak and khuluk. While divorce is a divorce requires a court decision that caused his wife to go to court and divorce ta'asuf .The underlying thought Wahbah az-Zuḥailī are the legal consequences of divorce and the seat of the court as an institution that handles divorce cases. Law istinbath method used is based on the HR at-Tirmidhi about divorce joke, Bukhari about the events of Ibn Umar that mentalak his wife in a state of menstruation, QS. al-Baqarah verse 231 and HR Ibn Majah on the prohibition of doing immorality. Relevance thought Wahbah az-Zuḥailī the context of divorces in Indonesia can be seen in ta'asuf divorce procedures and the validity of divorce outside the court on condition that the assembly had dug legal facts that can be used as strong evidence for a divorce

Get PDFThis article is an attempt to find solutions to the problems of the Muslims who practice field pawn. Field pawn practiced that was conducted so far only based on local customs laws and is considered to deviate from the basic principles of Islamic economics, namely; help each other, the prohibition of using treasure with the falsehood and the ban on the practice of usury. Field pawn done with handed over the land / fields to others to be controlled temporarily with all their profits and in return he got a loan of cash, and the land will be returned when the loan is redeemed or repaid. Actually, the main function of the devolving of the land is a guaranty for the loan funds that is received by land owner, and consequently the land is at the authority of the lender, so all land use is in the right lender. Looking at from the contract side, field pawn carried out without the clear contract, on the one hand is borrowing and on the other hand is considered as buying and selling because the land owners do not have the right to use it except with the permission of the lender so that it is called buying and selling
