The Development of Learning Services Assessment Instrument Model of Islamic Higher Education
Get PDFThe Islamic higher educations have an important role in producing the qualified graduates. Therefore, the organization of the Islamic higher educations must be coupled with the quality of learning services. Some institutes and universities are optimizing their learning services, while the others tend to choose different service patterns since there is no standard instrument of the quality of the learning service. This research was conducted to develop an assessment instrument model to measure the learning services in Islamic higher education. This research applied a research and development approach through three stages, namely: pre-development, development, and application of the model. The development of the instrument was done through individual, small group, and large group testing through field tests involving students of Islamic higher education. The instrument model includes the aspects of tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, empathy, and assurance along with the indicators, which is, analyzed using Confirmatory Factor Analysis. The findings of the research shows that learning assessment instrument model of Islamic higher education developed by integrating some aspects categorized as goodness of fit, which is, proved by Lambda score (λ)> 0,30, ρ-score (p)> 0, 05, Root Mean Square Error of Approximation (RMSEA) <0.08, and Goodness of Fit Index (GFI> 0.90). The fostering (parenting) pattern driven by teachers, adults, parents and the surrounding environments, plays significant role in stimulating the build-in potent intelligences within the children, one that eventually define their future character, personality and behavior. A good-and-sound fostering pattern from within the family surely uphold a strong fondation in developing emotions, behaviors, traits, moral and social values, as well as character buildings. A suggested ideal form for fostering (parenting) pattern is an authoritative model, whereas patterns given not only in the form of commands (demanding) but also immediate responses (responsiveness) to the children. The crisis affects the whole system of ecology on earth, including things related to mankind, such as air quality, foods, water, and a number of issues related to our health condition.Environmental crisis which is famous for its scientific and philosophical name, namely crisis of ecology, is a reflection of spiritual crisis experienced by modern society in which mankind had excluded God from nature. Misunderstanding and failure of mankind in comprehending the essential meaning of nature and reality has turned the relationship between mankind and nature into hostility. Mankind, indeed, reduced the true meaning of nature. Nature is understood as something with no intrinsic and spiritual values except what mankind has labeled. Nature is merely understood as object through which mankind may channel its greed, as an object by which mankind may quench its lust of exploitation. ETIKA BERKOMUNIKASI DALAM AL-QUR’AN ANALISIS PENAFSIRAN HASBI ASH-SHIDDIEQI DALAM TAFSIR AN-NUR
Get PDFFor Muslims, al-Qur’an is considered a book of guidance for humankind to navigate every aspect of their life in the world including communication as one of the most important aspects of human life. Because communication is very important for humankind, Islam provides guidelines on how to conduct such activity according to the Qur’an and the Hadith. The Qur’an contains many verses using the term “qaul”, a type of adjectives that can be addressed as general guidelines since such adjectives usually refer to the notion of the ethics of communication. Those Qur’anic verses using the term “qaul” are qaulan ma’rufa, qaulan karima, qaulan layyina, qaulan baligha, and qaulan sadida. According to Hasby ash-Shiddieqi, Islamic ethic of communication involves guidelines on how to convey a message in a way that its wording is concise, clear, and free from negative intention to harm others. Such messages must also comply with the general norms that they must be educative and effective to the audience. This research also designed to get the object datas from the three Islamic Elementry schools which organized by Ma’arif Nahdlatul Ulama Samarinda through many kind ways they are; (1) Interviews Elementry head masters and their commitees, (2) pictures, (3) school’s data or documents.The purpose of data collection wants to understand the Moslem Elementry School of Ma’arif Nahdlatul Ulama conditions in the some areas in Samarinda in order to know what are the weakness and lack of Ma’arif NU. The result of dataanalysis indicated three of Moslem Elementry School Ma’arif NU thoselocated in Samarinda city, they are MI 01 in Palaran, MI.02 Sindang Sari, MI 03 Jln. Rukun Samarinda Seberang, they still run in slowly.The researcher’s summary in this research those, from three of Madrasah Ibtidaiyyah of Educational Institute Ma’arif NU still need high supports from everyone, from moeslem who love education progressive now and the future
Penerapan Antisipasi Perundungan (Bullying) pada Sekolah Dasar di Kota Tenggarong
Get PDFPerundungan at school is another form of the oppressive action against peer student whom perceived as weak, in some case, may cause a traumatic impact. By the early consciousness of its negative impact has triggered the SDIT Nurul Ilmi, SDN 002 and SDN 028 establishes policy of the Perundungan Anticipative Program. This research is meant to find out body of program and its implementation, as well as, the obstacle and supporting factor of the Perundungan Anticipative Program at SDIT Nurul Ilmi, SDN 002 and SDN 028. Method used in the research is qualitative with a qualitative-descriptive approach. The results of this study illustrate the form of anticipatory perundungan programs in the three schools are CCTV, polgu, polkam, no tech bench, committee, polkam, welcome students, murojah morning, dhuha prayer, tilawati, zippy's friend, ekstakulikuler, business day, visit and mushraka. The research result describes two forms of the perundungan anticipative applications, id est : 1) The Precautionary-measure, this is shown by the provision of the cutting-edged CCTV facilities, the teacher interim, the no-tech bench, committee, and security officer — who guards during break time. 2) The Prevention-measure, by the Character Building effort and the Religious Approach to student, through activities, such as, students’ inaugural, morning murojah, Dhuha Shalah, tilawati, zippy’s friend, extracurricular (boyscout, theater), business day, visitations, and musharaka. By all of the school residents’ support, and some ruled-out minors, the implementation of the perundungan anticipative program is declared as successful. Al Ghazāli’s Thoughts on Islamic Education Curriculum
Get PDFAl Ghazali lived in the Islamic golden age when all the fields of education flourished. There have been many studies of al-Ghazali's thoughts, yet, further and deeper examination from various perspective is needed to get objective and actual thoughts of Al-Ghazali. In al Ghazali’s time, there was no term of curriculum, however, the concept emerged as an accumulation of previous thoughts about the curriculum. The objective of this research is to study about al Ghazali's thoughts on the curriculum of Islamic education based on the series of curricula before al-Ghazali which eventually distinguish this study from others. This library research relies on written materials from the works of al Ghazali and others related to this topic. The data were collected using documentary technique and analyzed using content analysis method. In conclusion, Al-Ghazali’s curriculum is similar to the concept of holistic education which is characterized by intellectual, emotional, physical, and spiritual developments. The curriculum also covers the dimension of development and it is beneficial for individual and society to make people closer to Allah SWT
