    Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk strategi penerapan sistem pembelajaran jarak jauh (PJJ) pada masa Pandemi Covid-19 bagi guru Madrasah Aliyah DDI Bontang. Desain penelitian menggunakan penelitian lapangan (field work research) dengan desain penelitian kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian yaitu di Madrasah Aliyah DDI Bontang. Adapun data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yaitu kondensasi data, model data (data display), penarikan/verifikasi kesimpulan dan dipresentasikan dengan teknik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran jarak jauh yang telah diterapkan oleh guru madrasah Aliyah DDI Bontang, yaitu melalui model kombinasi daring-luring, yakni model pembelajaran yang menerapkan jaringan komputer, internet dan perangkat lainnya pada proses pembelajaran, mulai dari penyampaian bahan belajar atau tugas, interaksi pembelajaran, dan evaluasi pembelajaran. Adapun media Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ) yang telah digunakan oleh guru MA DDI Bontang, ialah hanya memaksimalkan aplikasi E-Learning Madrasah, serta memanfaatkan whatsapp grup sebagai media komunikasi utama melalui pendekatan personal atau home visite (mengunjungi langsung di rumah masing-masing)

    Implementasi Extensive Reading Activity Dalam Pengajaran Mata Kuliah Reading Pada Mahasiswa IAIN Manado

    The purpose of the research is to describe the implementation of Extensive Reading Activity in Reading Comprehension subjects for IAIN Manado students. The research used a qualitative descriptive method. The data were collected through field notes, observation, documentation, and interview. The subjects of this research were students of Tadris Bahasa Inggris IAIN Manado. The findings show that the lecturer had implemented the Extensive Reading Activity in the Reading subject. The implementation of the Extensive Reading Activity for Students of Tadris Bahasa Inggris IAIN Manado can be concluded that there are many advantages in reading skills: understanding vocabulary, structure, grammar, and finding ideas or general descriptions in a text. The Extensive Reading approach can increase students' knowledge and worldview, foster attitudes and motivation towards reading habits, so reading is a fun activity and improves their Reading Skills. However, the Extensive Reading approach cannot replace the Intensive Reading approach. Moreover, Extensive Reading Activity is an alternative way of teaching and learning Reading skills. Through this research, it is hoped that it can provide an overview of Extensive Reading Activity's implementation, especially in the Reading subject, to be used as a reference for further research

    Management Techniques for Organizational Rumor and Gossip in Schools

    This research aims to determine the techniques for effective management of organizational rumor and gossip in schools. Rumors are informal conversations circulating among the employees of the organization towards an event. Gossips are informal evaluative speech about people who are not present there. Rumors and gossips are common informal conversations, which should be managed by school administration. In this term, this research investigates the ways of managing them. The study is a phenomenological qualitative research carried out by conducting semi-structured interviews with 33 teachers in Diyarbakır, Turkey. The data were analyzed by using content analysis technique and some themes and categories were created. According to the research results, school administration should organize some informative seminars on awareness, communication and values in order to reduce the harmful aspects of rumor and gossip. The school administration should adopt a transparent management approach, establish a feedback mechanism, provide effective communication, operate formal communication channels and react to those who spread harmful rumor and gossip. The rumors and gossips can be used for organizational purposes such as; improving intimate relationships, recognizing the organization and employees, improving group cooperation and sincerity, understanding the hidden side of events, learning innovations and changes, learning how changes and practices are perceived, identifying deficiencies and problems in jobs, learning employee expectations

    Students’ English Translation of Islamic Short Stories by The Sixth Semester of English Education Department

    Translation is one of the best skills that can help us to understand the word, phrase, clause, and sentence in a text or context, to understand the message what the speaker said and especially to communicate each other. This research was conducted based on the research background that is many students got confuse or difficulties to translate sentence. It makes them often fail to understand the meaning of the sentence. The objectives of this research are to know the accuracy, clarity, naturalness, and mechanic of the students’ English translation of Islamic short stories by the sixth semester of English Education Department at IAIN Samarinda in academic year 2019/2020 and to know the quality of the students’ English Translation of Islamic short stories by the sixth semester of English Education Department at IAIN Samarinda in academic year 2019/2020. This research used descriptive quantitative research. The main instrument was the translation text. The subject of the research was the sixth semester students of English Education Department, IAIN Samarinda which consist of 30 students. The collected data were analyzed by using statistic calculation of Mean. The result of this research showed the students’ translating English into Indonesian based on each aspect as follows: first, the result of all the accuracy’s score were 22 (good to average), second, the result of all the clarity’s score was 20 (fair to poor), third, the result of all the naturalness’s score was 16 (very poor), and last, the result of all the mechanic’s score was 12 (very poor). Based on the result of this thesis, that the Mean score is 69,43. The researcher concludes that the class quality in translating English Islamic short stories is the category “Fair” quality

    Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pustaka (Library Research), dan obyek penelitian adalah kitab Manhaj As-Sawi karya Habib Zain bin Smith dengan metode observasi kepustakaan dan dokumentasi sebagai metode pengumpulan data. Analisis konten sebagai metode analisisnya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa dalam kitab Manhaj As-Sawi terdapat etika pendidik yang harus diterapkan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil analisis penulis yang menemukan  bahwa etika yang harus dimiliki pendidik yaitu; etika pendidik kepada diri sendiri (Zuhud dan Tawadhu), etika pendidik kepada peserta didik (adil atau Inshof, Berkata “La Adry” atau “Wallahu A’lam”, Berhati-hati dalam memberi fatwa, dan lemah lembut), etika pendidik kepada teman sejawat dan masyarakat  (Meninggalkan perdebatan, dan Tidak bergaul dengan penguasa). Dari ketiga klasifikasi tersebut sangat relevan diterapkan pada pendidikan Islam masa sekarang

    Penelitian ini membahas tentang persepsi pemilik apotek terhadap kewajiban sertifikat halal bagi obat yang beredar di Indonesia sebagai amanat  menurut Undang-Undang No.33 Tahun 2014 Pasal 4 dan Undang-Undang No.8 Tahun 1999 tentang Perlindungan Konsumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi pemilik apotek terhadap kewajiban sertifikat halal bagi obat dijual apotek kecamatan Samarinda Seberang.Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif, dengan menggunakan pendekatan empiris. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah pemilik apotek di kecamatan Samarinda Seberang dan konsumen . Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan cara deskriptif kualitatif yaitu menggambarkan, memaparkan dan menganalisa hasil dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan. Hasil dari penelitian persepsi pemilik apotek terhadap kewajiban sertifikat halal bagi obat yang beredar di kecamatan Samarinda Seberang terdapat 7 pemilik apotek dan dapat dilihat dari 2 persepsi sebagai berikut: 1. Persepsi positif, terdapat 3 pemilik apotek di kecamatan Samarinda Seberang setuju, karena peraturan sertifikat halal untuk kebaikan masyarakat dan obat yang sudah bersertifikat halal sudah dipastikan sebagai bentuk perantara untuk menyembuhkan sehingga umat Islam merasa aman ketika mengonsumsi obat yang sudah halal. 2. Persepsi negatif, terdapat 4 pemilik apotek di kecamatan Samarinda Seberang tidak setuju dikarenakan kewajiban sertifikat halal bagi obat yang beredar di Indonesia menyebabkan kekosongan persediaan obat yang dibutuhkan yang dapat mengancam kesehatan dan keselamatan konsumen, kemudian banyak pemilik apotek tidak mengetahui terkait Undang-Undang No 33 Tahun 2014 Pasal 4. Pandangan Islam terkait sesuatu yang haram akan berubah menjadi halal ketika dalam keadaan mendesak termasuk obat yang harus bersertifikat halal. Saran untuk pemilik apotek diharapkan untuk melaksanakan kewajibannya terkait dengan sertifikat halal pada obat sebagaimana diatur dalam Undang-Undang No.33 Tahun 2014 tentang Jaminan Produk Halal sebagai bentuk upaya untuk memenuhi hak konsumen atas informasi secara benar dan jujur. Pemerintah diharapkan dapat memberikan sosialisasi secara menyeluruh kepada masyarakat khususnya pemilik apotek mengenai pentingnya sertifikat halal, tujuan serta manfaat dari sertifikat halal pada kemasan produk khususnya produk pada obat.     The Impact of Social Media on Adolescent Personality in Psychosocial Perspective

    Advancement in technology has led to the emergence of social media applications that are widely adopted nowadays as a platform of communication. This brings a good impact on society, including on teenagers. From the perspective of social psychology, the use of social media affects teenagers’ personalities because social influence affects the decision-making process among teenagers. This article aims at revealing the use of social media among teenagers and its’ impact on their attitude towards the potential impacts of using social media. This article utilizes a survey result from a sample of teenagers from a junior high school is Samarinda. Findings show that teenagers use social media for entertainment and educational purposes. They are aware of the possibility that social media can be used as a platform to spread hoaxes and fake news due to the ability of the users to be anonymous during on social media

    The Principles of Educational Leadership in the Perspective of the Qur’an

    Humans as inheritors of the earth regulate life and everything. With their intellects and skills, they can make the earth a place to carry out various daily activities. As the caliphs, they get the trust that must be implemented on the earth. In this study, the authors would adopt the cornerstone principles of leadership education in general and in view of the Quran. Principles of leadership in general education studied were those of integrative and cooperative capacity, rationality and objectivity, adaptability and flexibility, delegation, pragmatism, and exemplary. On average, the principles of educational leadership in the perspective of the Qur'an are the principle of tawhid, deliberation, fairy, freedom, upright, commanding the good and forbidding the evil, and a good example. From these two principles of educational leadership, they include the education for a leader who according to the morality of the Qur'an (1) is tolerant, (2) likes to do deliberation in decision-making, (3)  is fair in terms of law, (4)  gives freedom, (5)  can be trusted, (6)  is always doing good, and (7) gives good examples. An educational leader as stated in the Qur'an is the one who upholds Islamic values and leadership principles

    A Critical Study of Al-Farabi Philosophy Implementation at Education non Islamic Higher Education in Indonesia

    The purpose of this study is to conduct a critical study of Alfarabi's philosophy in the implementation of education at Islamic universities in Indonesia. The research method used is a literature study using a philosophical approach. The main data sources are secondary data in the form of Alfarabi's work entitled Risalah fi al-'Aql and previous research works that reveal the philosophical thoughts of Islamic education put forward by Alfarabi. The findings reveal that the Alfarabi philosophy is implemented in the practice of education at Islamic universities in Indonesia through the scope, objectives, and benefits of education. First, the scope of education taught is about the concept of reason (intelligence). Second, the purpose of education is to prepare students through the transfer of knowledge and practical skills to obtain the perfection of life as human beings. Third, the benefits of the concept of value through morality development, teaching methods, and learning evaluation. The conclusion of the research is that Afarabi's philosophy in implementing education in higher education is very important for students and lecturers to improve self-competence. The expected implication is that Islamic Universities not only focus on information and communication technology, but also implement the values ​​of an Islamic philosophy of life in accordance with the guidelines of the Qur'an and al-Hadith
