Get PDFThe term scholars, so far more dominant is associated with men. However, the fact that many female figures have been found in Islamic history, especially in Malay families. Therefore, the disclosure of women's economic side became a noteworthy study. The focus of the problem in this study was discussing the existence and dedication of female clerics on Islamic education in Malay family. This research is a type of literature research or called a library research. Data sources include books and research outcomes related to the role and gait of female scholars in the archipelago. While the data analysis technique uses content analysis technique. The results of this study concluded that public recognition of female scholars in the archipelago is still lacking. The dedication of female scholars to Islamic education can be seen in the form of providing enlightenment to the community, organizing a regular Taklim assembly, being the leader of educational institutions as well as the oganization of other Islamic, and devote All efforts, energy, and time for the development of Islamic education in the archipelago

Sedangkan tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kopetensi pedagogik guru di SMA Negeri 6 Samarinda. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif, sumber data primernya adalah kepala sekolah dan guru SMA Negeri 6 Samarinda, sedangkan sumber data sekundernya adalah dokumen-dokumen, laporan, dan hasil penelitian yang relevan. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan di SMA Negeri 6 Samarinda, maka peneliti dapat mengambil kesimpulan bahwa peran kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik guru telah dilaksanakan cukup baik. Mengacu pada peran kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik yaitu peran kepala sekolah sebagai edukator, manajer, supervisor, dalam hal meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik guru dengan mengelola pembelajaran, perencanaan pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan mengevaluasi hasil belajar. Untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik kepala sekolah membantu guru dengan mengirimkan guru mengikuti berbagai pelatihan, memberikan penilaian kerja dan memberikan penghargaan pada guru yang berprestasi
The Influence of Achievement Motivation and Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) on Students’ Mathematics Learning Outcomes
No full textThis study explores the significance of influence of achievement motivation and SRL toward students’ mathematics learning outcomes. This was an ex post facto research. The population was all tenth-grade students of MAN 2 Samarinda, West Kalimantan, Indonesia in the school year 2013/2014. The sample was selected by cluster sampling, as well as obtained four classes as a sample. The data were collected by questionnaires of achievement motivation and SRL, and math formative test. Furthermore, the data were analyzed by using multiple regression analysis. The results of this study is the assumption of regression equation Ŷ = -21,682 + 0,400X1 + 0,239X2 with F value is 40,043 and the significance is 0,000. Hence, there is a significant combination of achievement motivation and SRL through students’ mathematics achievement

Kemudian dari pengaruh lingkungan yang memaksa untuk menanggalkan nilai kejujuran demi tercapainya suatu tujuan. Dari fenomena tersebut dapat juga kita temui tertanggalkannya nilai kejujuran dalam proses pembelajaran, dari dilaksanakannya pada Ujian Nasional dan sampai kepada pengerjaan tugas sekolah. Anak-anak dituntut untuk mendapatkan nilai baik, tetapi para pendidik lupa akan letak kejujuran yang harus diindahkan dalam segala kegiatan. Alhasil pencapaian yang dikejar memang baik, tapi jauh dari kata kejujuran (mencontek). Nilai kejujuran yang sangat mempengaruhi suatu perubahan bangsa, apakah menjadi bangsa yang beradab dalam peradabannya atau malah sebaliknya. The Use of Youtube Vlog to Improve The Students’ Listening Skill of MTs Samarinda
Get PDFThe background of research is students have less motivation in learning English and some students feel difficult in understand vocabularies that were pronounced. As a result, they did not know the word and its meaning. It happens because they couldn’t hear the articulation of the word clearly. The objective of this research is to find out is YouTube vlog can improve students’ listening skill of eighth grade at MTs DDI Tani Aman Loa Janan. The design of this research was Classroom Action Research (CAR) which researcher following Kemmis and McTaggart action research procedures. The subject of this research was students of VIIIB at MTs DDI Tani Aman were about 29 students. The instrument of this research is observation checklist, test, and field note. The result of this research indicates that there was improvement of the students’ listening skill. Most of the students gradually gained good scores at the second cycle. The score of Minimum Mastery Criterion (KKM) of English lesson was 75.00. In the preliminary study there were 2 students or 7.69% students who passed the KKM and mean score of preliminary study was 28.51. Next, the result of the first cycle showed that there were 9 students or 31.03% students who passed the KKM considering their mean score of the test gained 145.47%. next, the result of the second cycle shows that there were 27 students or 96.42% students who passed the KKM which their mean scores derived 88.21 and gained 209.40% of improvement. So, the final result is found that more than 75% students with individual score in listening skill passed the KKM
Students‘ Perspective on Innovative Teaching Model Using Edmodo in Teaching English Phonology: A Virtual Class Development
Get PDFThis paper displayed the students’ perspective on innovative teaching model using edmodo in teaching English Phonology as a virtual class development. The data were collected for 6 months starting from compiling proposal in March 2018 to August 2018 in the IAIN Tulungagung campus in the sense of data collection, report preparation, group meetings and most other activities carried out in the Tulungagung and Kediri areas. It involves people who have relevant information about the research theme, they are 46 students from the fourth semester in English majors who answered the pre-observation questionnaire, and post questionnaires but 46 interviewees, consisting of thirty-one women and sixteen men, were interviewed. The data was analysed using a descriptive qualitative approach. The finding revealed that the experienced students of using edmodo affected their readiness to take a part in English Phonology teaching using edmodo as a learning medium. The result of this study proved that the experienced students of using edmodo influences the fluency in learning phonology courses so they found it easier to apply Edmodo, serving as on the advantages (time-effective & efficient, not oblivious about computers, simplifying learning material, interactive, communicative, expressive, reducing cheating task, recognizing class management, creating reading habit) and disadvantages of using edmodo, similarly limited lexical items in content courses; differences in the level of competency, motivation, learning environment and background of previous learning; inadequate internet network; prefer to use gadgets for entertainment communication
The Current Issues of Indonesian EFL Students’ Writing Skills: Ability, Problem, and Reason in Writing Comparison and Contrast Essay
Get PDFThe aim of this study is to investigate issues of Indonesian EFL students’ writing skills, covering ability, problem and reason why they got problems in writing comparison and contrast essay. The convergent parallel of mixed methods was used to explore these issues by involving 52 EFL students of IAIN Samarinda who enrolled the academic essay writing course. The three research instruments; essay writing test, open-ended questionnaire and interview were used in the data collection. The findings of this study revealed that the Indonesian EFL students’ writing ability was good that categorized with the mean score 77.83. However, some of them encounter problems in writing aspects including content, organization, vocabulary, grammar, and mechanics. Their reasons in experiencing these problems are not only limited knowledge of writing aspects and comparison and contrast essay itself, but also they had own personal reasons; lack of writing practice, writing dislike, writing anxiety, negative writing perception, low writing motivation, insufficient time given in writing test, and also inadequate teaching writing process taught by their lecturers. Indeed, the teaching writing improvement that involved EFL students and lecturers should be well-integrated in order to alleviate the students’ essay writing problems related to their reasons and to improve their writing ability. Factors caused the writing difficulties will be discussed further and some suggestions will be given on this research
Language Learning Process and Gender Difference Implied from the Turn-Takings Used in EFL Student Conversation Club
Get PDFThis study aims at investigating the kinds of turn-taking mostly used by EFL learners, how the turn-takings are portrayed as a process of EFL learning, and how the EFL learners differ in making their turn-takings according to their gender. This study was qualitative in nature, using 10 members of English Club of English department students, Mulawarman University as the participants. The procedures of data collecting were video-tape recording observation and semi-structure interview. The data were analyzed by using conversational analysis and percentage frequencies. The result revealed that: 1) the kinds of turn-taking mostly used by the participants were adjacency pair and insertion sequence from the sequence type of turn-taking, almost all kinds turn-taking from the overlap turn-taking except the third party mediation, and other-repair and self-repair from the repair turn-taking; 2) all members of the English Club felt they acquired their languages as they practiced them in either written and spoken communication; and 3) the female members dominated talk than the male ones

Get PDFThe at-tartil method is a guidebook in learning to read al-quran directly (without spelling) and enter or practice the reading of tartil in accordance with the rules of ulumut tajwid and ulumul ghorib This At-tartil book emerged because it was motivated by unrest among the NU Sidoarjo scholars more precisely the NU Syuriah Branch of Sidoarjo, because at the beginning of the 80-90s various kinds of books were studied in the Koran but not accompanied by the teachers skills in operating books the book. This At-Tartil Method uses a drill technique. The type of research that will be used in this study is to use the Posttest Only method. This study involved two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group, both of whom received the same learning treatment process in terms of content, purpose and teaching material. Referring to the results of data analysis from the results of the research that has been done, obtained t-count value of 22.0503 and t_table value of 1.684. This means that t count> t table then Ho is rejected; Ha accepted. It can be stated that the experimental group and the control group have significant average differences, with this indicating that the use of the At-Tartil method is effective in the learning of PTKI Tahsin Al-Qur'an students in East Kalimantan
