    Enriching the perspective of the science of hadith can be done with the study of hadith which focuses on the sociological-historical dimension. One of studies that use a sociological-historical perspective is the science of Mukhtalif al-Hadith formulated by al-Shafi'i. The sociological approach to knowledge is used in this article to uncover the sociological dimension of the formation of mukhtalif al-hadith. The results of this approach reveal that the formulation of the science of mukhtalif al-hadith al-Shafi'i is started from the thoughts about the hadith during al-Shafi'i, especially those which are destructive to the position of hadith. In observing the sociology of knowledge, the science of mukhtalif al-Hadith formulation of al-Syafi'i must be open in order to create new method contributions in the meaning of mukhtalif hadiths

    The Representation of Women’s Role and Position in Taqrib Book: A Discourse Analysis Study

    AbstractThis article aims at analyzing woman’s role and position in a book of Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh book). It focuses on the discussion of women’s position in domestic and public sphere as written in the fiqh book titled Taqrib. It also explores the relevance of the Taqrib’s contents on women’s role and position in the social context by probing its readers’ awareness. In this qualitative study, the discourse analysis method is used to examine the contents of the book and the context of readers, i.e. prominent teachers of Islamic boarding school (kyai). Although women’s role and position was depicted subordinate to men in several cases of fiqh reasoning (e.g. the authority of father and grandfather in determining marriage for their daughter, the superiority of men over women in being a judge, and so forth) in the Taqrib book, Some kyai were aware of the women’s role and position in the social life equally. Hence, they maintain that the women’s role and position in the domestic and public environment should be recognized. This study thus emphasizes the need to re-read the fiqh reasoning on women’s role and position contextually. Keywords: woman's role and position, fiqh, Taqrib book

    Mapping the Field, A Bibliometric Analysis of Environment in Islam

    The environmental crisis is happening today requires the attention of the global community. One approach that can be done is to apply the teachings of Islam as a whole. Belief in religion can influence people to maintain the environment. This study was conducted to determine how the environment in Islam. Scientific publications in accordance with Islamic friends in the neighborhood of indexed Dimensions analyzed by a systematic literature review (SLR). The parameters analyzed were the number of publications per year, the origin and the origin of the author's state institutions. Furthermore, the results were analyzed with the VOS Viewer software. A total of 30 relevant scientific articles selected and analyzed. Publications related to the environment in Islam increased since 2006 with some of the topics of discussion. A popular topic of research is on the management of natural resources and environment, water conservation, and climate change

    Old age is a period of life during which a person’s health is likely to have been deteriorating due to age thus making the risk of death to be relatively high. Most elder people feel anxious and lonely, especially those who lack sufficient care either from his/her family or from the government. Increasing the spirituality of elder people can be beneficial in many ways. It allows elder people to reflect on their lives and to make meaningful preparation as to how to leave this world peacefully. The objective of this article, hence, is to describe factors that influence happiness among old-age people. A combination of descriptive methods and literature research is utilized to analyze journal articles and research reports regarding happiness during old age. Findings suggest that religious activities, social relations, physical activities, praying to God, and having good relations with family play an important role in determining the level of happiness among old-age people.Keywords: Elderly, Happiness

    Pola Asuh Orang Tua dalam Menstimulasi Kemandirian Anak Usia Dini

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui bagaimana pola asuh orang tua dalam menstimulasi kemandirian anak usia dini di Mangkujenang Dalam Simpang Pasir Palaran, Samarinda. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 10 orang tua dan 10 anak. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data menggunakan tringulasi sumber dan triangulasi metode. Tehnik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa orang tua di Mangkujenang Dalam, menggunakan pola asuh yang berbeda-beda dalam menstimulasi kemandirian anak, sebagai berikut: (1) Orang tua sangat dominan dalam mengambil keputusan dan aturan, Orang tua membuat peraturan secara sepihak tanpa melibatkan anak, Orang tua memiliki kontrol  yang ketat terhadap perilaku anak, dan Orang tua sering mengancam atau menghukum melalui lisan maupun fisik. Cara seperti ini merupakan ciri-ciri pola asuh otoriter. (2) Orang tua mendorong anak untuk membicarakan keinginan, cita-cita, dan kebutuhan anak, Orang tua berkerja sama dengan anak, Orang tua mengarahkandan membimbing anak, dan Orang tua tidak kaku terhadap kontrol anak. Cara seperti ini merupakan ciri-ciri pola asuh demokratis. (3) Orang tua memberikan kebebasan penuh pada anak dalam bertindak, Anak lebih mendominasi, Orang tua memiliki sikap bebas, Orang tua tidak membimbing dan mengarahkan anak. Cara seperti ini merupakan ciri-ciri pola asuh permisif.  Pola asuh demokratis, permisif dan otoriter bisa menstimulasi kemandirian anak. Pola asuh demokratis dan permisif lebih mendominasi dalam menstimulasi kemandirian anak dari pada pola asuh otoriter di Mangkujenang Dalam

    Dakwah Di Tengah Pandemi (Studi Terhadap Respons Dai Di Media Sosial)

    The Covid-19 (Corona Virus Disease-19) outbreak has managed to change the patterns of social life on society, including the change regarding the way Da’wa is performed; from conventional direct Da’wa to mediated Da’wa through internet. This article aims at describing responses of the Da’is (proselytizers) in social media pertaining to the spread of the Covid-19. This article applied qualitative method to analyse Da’wa contents related to Covid-19 on social media. Data were collected through observation and documentation. Findings show that there are at least three types of responses from the Da’is; cognitive, affective, and behavioural responses.  Cognitive response is manifested in the form of delivering information regarding Covid-19 from the general and medical perspective such as promoting frequent hand-washing, maintaining good hygiene, obeying the government measurements, maintaining healthy level of gratitude and praying to God to be saved from the outbreak. Affective response is manifested in the form of promoting empathy, positive thinking, and avoiding panic. Behavioural response is manifested in the form of giving real-life example such as performing online congregation (pengajian online), wearing face mask, applying appropriate disinfection, and helping those heavily affected by the outbreak.Keywords: Covid-19, Dai, responses, and social media.

    Preparation of Islamic Religious Education Teachers in Secular Countries: A Study in Austria

    Especially in Austria itself, it is estimated that in 2050 the Muslim population will be around 19.9% of the total population and the population increase will be second in Europe after Sweden with 30.6%. Interestingly again in Austria apart from being a secular country but it provides concern for Muslims to develop Islamic religious education there. Therefore, this study aimed to determine how universities in Austria prepared Islamic religion teachers at undergraduate level both in terms of models and curricula to face increasingly complex challenges and a growing number of Muslim citizens. This study used library research, while the approach used interpretative approach. The main reference source was the content on the university website that offers Islamic Religious Education programs. In addition, various sources lead to discourse and curriculum development in Austria. The number of data were displayed using descriptive statistics and described using descriptive qualitative. Then research design that would be carried out was to reveal the course content contained in the web and then reduced, especially in terms of the preparation curriculum for Islamic Religious Education teachers. Of the various courses presented were analyzed using content analysis where the important point was to take the most fundamental content that was related to the principles of curriculum development, namely contextual and responding to the challenges of the times. The results showed that the preparation of Islamic teachers in one of the colleges in Austria consists of undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate degrees. Undergraduate program of Islamic Religious Education consists of two models, namely Bachelor’s Program Secondary School Teacher Training (General Education) – Subject: Islamic Religion and the specific name is Bachelor’s Program - Islamic Religious Education.
