A Study of Existing Problems and Improvement Measures in Credit Risk Management of Fixed Income Securities
Get PDFCredit risk management of fixed-income securities, as an important component of the financial market, is closely related to market stability and investor rights and interests. In recent years, global economic fluctuations and shifts have become more pronounced, and credit risk events have occurred repeatedly, exposing many shortcomings and weaknesses in the current management system. Currently existing problems are with failure of independence of the rating system, failure of information disclosure mechanisms, risk pricing delayed rather than driven by fundamentals, and regulation does not keep pace with market innovation. These problems have complicated the risk transfer chain process and increased market fragility. The study, based on existing relevant theories and cases, proposes systematic reforms including setting multiple rating mechanisms, stronger information disclosure obligations, implementing dynamic pricing mechanism as well as a comprehensive regulatory framework. By optimizing the risk identification and mitigation paths, it can provide practical references for enhancing market pricing efficiency and safeguarding financial security, and help the long-term healthy development of the fixed income securities market. 
Research on Financial Risk Control of Sovereign Wealth Funds’ Offshore Investments
Get PDFThis study focuses on the financial risk control mechanisms of sovereign wealth funds (SWFs) in their offshore investment activities. Drawing on both domestic and international literature, it first clarifies the fundamental concepts of SWFs and the theoretical framework for financial risk control. Through analysis of global allocation patterns and representative Chinese cases, it reveals the evolution of SWF investment strategies and the principal risks they face—market risk, currency risk, credit risk, liquidity risk, and compliance risk. The study proposes an integrated risk-assessment system for dynamic monitoring and evaluation, and on this basis designs targeted risk-control strategies, including derivatives hedging, diversified portfolio allocation, enhancement of internal governance structures, and strengthening of compliance mechanisms. An empirical model is constructed using panel data from leading SWFs; the empirical results and robustness tests demonstrate that the proposed strategies significantly enhance portfolio resilience. Finally, by examining a typical case in depth, the paper offers practical recommendations for SWF management institutions and regulatory authorities to bolster the resilience and sustainability of offshore investment portfolios in an increasingly volatile global environment
Perceptions of Benefits and Drawbacks in Maintaining Back Burner Relationships Online: A Report on Gendered Differences Among College Students
Get PDFThis report investigates the perceptions of college students regarding the benefits and drawbacks of maintaining back burner relationships online, with a specific focus on gender-based differences. A mixed-methods study design was utilized. Participants included 762 undergraduate students (71% female, 71% Caucasian, 92% heterosexual) from communication courses at a Southwestern university. Participants completed a Qualtrics survey, and data were analyzed using content analysis with a focus on thematic coding. Inter-coder reliability was established at 98%. Results identified distinct gender differences in the benefits and drawbacks of back burner relationships. Females reported benefits such as emotional comfort and maintaining friendships, while males noted confidence boosts and the potential for future relationships. Conversely, females highlighted drawbacks related to relationship strain and emotional toll, whereas males emphasized complications arising from attachment and temptation. This report enhances the understanding of how young adults navigate interpersonal romantic dynamics in the digital age, contributing to research on relationship alternatives and the role of technology in modern romantic relationships. The findings inform future studies on relational decision-making and gendered expectations in digital communication contexts

The current status of ideological and political education practices in college English course is analyzed through empirical data, and the existing challenges in their integration are also identified. Based on students’ feedback and classroom observation, the reform of ideological and political education in college English courses has been implemented. Specifically, under the Reading Circle Model, student-centered group learning is adopted to subtly integrate ideological and political elements into college English reading courses, thereby fully leveraging the educational role of college English courses
A Study on the Current Situation of Rural Primary School Students' Perception of Teacher Support: An Analysis Based on Professional Knowledge, Affection and Reliability
Get PDFThis study investigated the current situation of rural primary school students' perception of teacher support, involving 124 rural primary school students. Based on the results, strategies to improve rural primary school students' perception of teacher support were proposed. The results show that rural primary school students have a higher perception of teacher support from older and more experienced rural teachers than that from younger and less experienced rural teachers. And they have a relatively high perception of the three sub - factors of professional knowledge, affection and reliability, with the highest perception of professional knowledge. The findings of this study provide certain strategies for enhancing rural primary school students' perception of rural teacher support
Blockchain-based Traditional Chinese Medicine Traceability Model
Get PDFTraditional Chinese medicine is widely used in the medical field for its good curative effect and extremely small side effects,but the sources and preparation processes of traditional Chinese medicine materials lack transparency,Some traditional Chinese medicines have the defects of being easy to counterfeit and difficult to trace.Thus, a blockchain-based traditional Chinese medicine traceability model(BTCMT) is proposed in the paper.This model is based on the blockchain and uses a distributed storage mechanism. Under the control of the practical Byzantine algorithm and smart contract, it has achieved the distributed management of the whole process of planting, collecting, primary processing, preparation and sales of traditional Chinese medicine, ensuring the transparency, decentralization and anti-counterfeiting of traditional medicine on each block, and has realized the traceability and information sharing of traditional Chinese medicine. After simulation experiments, the accounting success rate of BTCMT was 100%, Failure rate is 0%, the shortest traceability response time was 212ms, and the maximum system traceability throughput was 4908.02bps. The model has good robustness and provides a reference for the traceability model of traditional Chinese medicine
Analysis of the Main Factors Inducing Mortality in Artificial Ponds for Australian Freshwater Lobsters
Get PDFWith rising demand for Cherax quadricarinatus due to advancing aquaculture technology and consumer preference, this imported species faces strict environmental needs and technical challenges. Poor water quality and temperature extremes during breeding often cause mortality and yield losses, impacting farmers economically. This study analyzes primary mortality causes in artificial ponds through breeding experiments, collecting data on temperature, dissolved oxygen, ammonia nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, and Vibrio infection. Key factors identified include temperatures ≤10°C or ≥31°C, dissolved oxygen ≤1.0 mg/L, and ammonia nitrogen or nitrate nitrogen ≥0.5 mg/L. These findings enhance understanding of artificial pond conditions affecting C. quadricarinatus, offering a reference for improving aquaculture practices
Analysis of the Factors Influencing the Changes in Beach Landforms of Weizhou Island and Environmental Protection
Get PDFThe beach is one of the main tourist resources of Weizhou Island. The quality of the beach landforms and coastal environment greatly influences the comfort and overall experience of tourists. This is primarily affected by both human and natural factors. Based on multiple field surveys conducted on Weizhou Island and previous research materials, this paper focuses on studying the changes in the Shiluokou-Dishuicun beach landforms of Weizhou Island and their impact on the ecological environment. The following four conclusions are drawn: 1) The degradation of coral reefs leads to coastal retreat; 2) Storm surges result in the destruction of coastal vegetation; 3) Headlands cause a large accumulation of coastal sediments; 4) Circulation is the main limiting factor for beach migration and expansion. Finally, based on the research conclusions, along with a superficial investigation and review of related materials on the coastal engineering at Yalong Bay, Hainan, specific suggestions for the protection of Weizhou Island's beach ecological environment are proposed
The Social Significance of Nkwa Umuagbogho Maiden Dance of Afikpo: A Theoretical Discourse
Get PDFAlthough traditional dances remain one of the underdeveloped performance arts that have received less attention in the contemporary era, they remain fundamental to traditional communities that leverage their symbolic qualities and social functions to uphold cultural values that are integral to them. The study aimed to examine the social significance of the Nkwa Umuagbogho maiden dance of Afikpo people in Ebonyi State, Nigeria. The objective was to interrogate the relevance of the dance using four theories; dance movement therapy, cultural feminism, social identity theory, and genderlect theory. The outcome of the study revealed that the dance encompasses different theoretical dimensions that underpin its relevance to the host community. From a therapeutic construct, the study found that the dance serves as a means of improving human health and mental wellbeing. It also found that the dance explores the feminine cultural attributes of Afikpo maidens to foster identity, integration, and association in society, as well as blurs the gender gap that exist between men and women in Igbo culture through active engagement and communication between women and men in the performance process. Therefore, the study recommended that it is important for scholars and critics to advance theoretical inquiries on traditional dances to unearth their significance in society, especially toward a cultural renaissance
Dance Costumes as Expressions of Cultural Identity: A Study of Selected Cultural Dances
Get PDFThe intricate and lively costumes adorned by dancers frequently mirror the rich cultural legacy of Nigeria, showcasing traditional attire, fabrics, accessories, and body art that are distinct to each ethnic group. However, dance costumes are often affected by cultural shifts emanating from globalization, technology, and modernity, leading to some alterations in cultural representation. The objective of the research is to examine how dance costumes express cultural identity in Nigeria. Drawing upon Mary Collier and Milt Thomas’s cultural identity theory, the study examines two Nigerian dances. The selected dances are the Inyemobi dance of Onicha-Ugbo in Delta State and the Aja k’Idoma dance in Benue State. These case studies were purposively selected. The study utilizes the content analysis approach of the qualitative research methodology to engage cultural identity issues in the selected dances. Major findings reveal that the costumes serve as symbols of ethnic and national identities. However, many costume practices are endangered and on the brink of losing their indigenous identities as a result of changes orchestrated by varied influences. The study, therefore, recommends scholarly documentation as a sustainable means of cultural and ideological preservation
