Eff-TA-Net: A Lightweight Model with Triple Attention for Medical Image Segmentation
Despite significant progress in deep learning for medical image analysis, the clinical adoption of many segmentation models remains limited due to their large parameter sizes and high computational complexity. Furthermore, these models often struggle to accurately segment regions with low contrast and blurred boundaries, which are common challenges in medical imaging. To address these issues, this paper introduces Eff-TA-Net, a lightweight medical image segmentation model incorporating a triple attention mechanism. Built upon the UNeXt architecture, Eff-TA-Net employs a hybrid encoder combining convolutional and Tok-MLP modules to reduce parameter count, while a triple attention mechanism integrated into skip connections enhances spatial feature perception. Additionally, a composite loss function named DiceBoundary Loss is designed to synergistically optimize the Dice coefficient and a boundary-aware binary cross-entropy loss, thereby improving the model's precision in segmenting lesion boundaries. Experimental results on the ISIC 2018 skin cancer dataset demonstrate that Eff-TA-Net, with only 1.50 million parameters and 2.31 GFLOPs, achieves state-of-the-art segmentation accuracy among comparable models, with an F1-score of 90.03% and an IoU of 85.26%. These findings indicate the strong potential of Eff-TA-Net for practical clinical applications
Research on Financial Performance Evaluation of Commercial Trade Enterprises under Digital Transformation
In the fast development of the digital economy, digital transformation has become a key way for commercial trade enterprises to improve efficiency, make better use of resources, and build stronger competitiveness. However, the traditional financial performance system cannot fully show the total impact of digital investment, digital capability building, and business model innovation. Because of this problem, this study looks at the basic theories and mechanisms of digital transformation and builds a financial performance evaluation system suited for commercial trade enterprises. It also uses A-share listed commercial trade firms in China as samples and carries out an empirical analysis with panel data models and the entropy method. The results show that digital transformation greatly improves profitability, operational efficiency, and growth ability. This effect comes not only from direct digital technology investment but also from indirect factors, such as the maturity of information systems and the digital skills of employees, which help the firm use resources better and improve business processes. The study also finds clear differences across enterprise types. Firms with a higher share of online business or stronger digital capability can get more value from digital transformation. This study adds to the theory on digital transformation and financial performance and gives useful advice for enterprises developing digital strategies, improving financial systems, and for policymakers who want to build a stronger digital business environment
Integrated Teaching Design of Junior High School "Parallelograms" Unit Based on UbD Theory
The "Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education (2022 Edition)" require "teachers to conduct overall teaching design for each unit to promote students' understanding of knowledge". The teaching design using UbD method, through three stages of "determining expected results", "seeking evaluation evidence", and "designing learning activities", can enable students to achieve true understanding and overcome the drawbacks of traditional education such as "indoctrination teaching" and "isolated teaching activities". Firstly, propose the design basis for the overall unit teaching design based on UbD theory; Secondly, conduct a textbook analysis of the "parallelogram" unit in middle school mathematics published by People's Education Press in terms of "textbook content" and "core content"; Again, based on the UbD theory, a unit based overall teaching design for "parallelogram" is carried out, and the first lesson of the first section, "Properties of Parallelograms", is taken as an example for lesson teaching design; Finally, reflect on the teaching design of the "parallelogram" unit based on UbD theory
Research on the Realization Path of Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance from the Perspective of Public Cultural Services: A Case Study of Yao Long-Drum Dance in S Town
Against the backdrop of constructing a modern public cultural service system, the intangible cultural heritage (ICH) inheritance faces multiple challenges, including the aging of inheritors, superficial application of technology, and weakening of cultural identity. Taking the Yao ethnic group's Long Drum Dance in S Town, G Province, as a typical case, this study systematically analyzes the internal mechanism and practical paths of ICH inheritance based on the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework. The research reveals that: the technology dimension breaks through the temporal and spatial barriers of inheritance through media innovation and spatial reconstruction, promoting the transformation of ICH from "closed skills" to "open resources"; the organization dimension relies on multi-stakeholder collaboration and institutional embedding to form a closed-loop link of "skill inheritance - knowledge dissemination - value transformation", breaking the dilemma of resource fragmentation; the environment dimension reconstructs the social legitimacy of ICH through cultural meaning re-production and dynamic adaptation to needs, promoting its upgrading from "static protection" to "dynamic evolution." On this basis, the study further proposes a "technology empowerment - organization collaboration - environment activation" holistic improvement path, emphasizing the need to achieve a systematic breakthrough in the living heritage of ICH through in-depth application of digitalization, optimization of the stakeholder network, and cultivation of the cultural ecosystem
Advances in the Study of Microglia in Neuropathic Pain
Neuropathic pain is a kind of chronic pain triggered by nervous system injury or dysfunction, whose mechanism is complex and lacks effective treatment. Recent studies have shown that microglia, as core immune cells in the central nervous system, play a central by role in the development and maintenance of pain ). play a central role in the onset and maintenance of pain. In this paper, we systematically reviewed the activation mechanism of microglia and their multi-receptor regulatory network (including in neuropathic painreleasing pro-inflammatory factors (e.g., IL-1β, TNF-α), regulating key signaling pathways (e.g., TLR/NF-κB, NLRP3 inflammatory vesicles, JAK/STAT), and mediating neuron-glia interactions (e.g., BDNF-TrkB, ATP-P2X4P2X4, TLR4, RAGE, GLP-1R, CCR2, KOR, and GPR84) , and elucidated their amplification of pain signals through inflammatory factor release, synaptic plasticity regulation, and neuronal excitability enhancement. Meanwhile, this paper explores the potential value of therapeutic strategies targeting microglia receptors (e.g., antagonists, genetic interventions and electroacupuncture therapy), and looks forward to emerging research directions such as metabolic reprogramming, epigenetic regulation and gender differences, which will provide a theoretical basis for the development of precision analgesic therapies
Dilemmas and Breakthroughs in the Treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia in China
Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a common urologic disease in elderly men, which seriously affects patients' quality of life. Current treatments mainly include medication and surgery, but both have their own limitations. In recent years, Prostatic Urethral Dilation (PUD), as a new non-resectable mechanical dilatation technique, has gradually become a hot spot for research and clinical application. This article summarizes the current status of BPH treatment in China, the existing dilemmas, and focuses on the technical features and advantages of PUD technology and the latest product, a Ultra-Minimally Invasive Prostate Dilation Catheter (Longevity Bar), with particular attention to its breakthrough in preserving prostate function and reducing postoperative complications, as well as its advantages for high-risk patients based on the innovation of the thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) material and the precise positioning technology of the double balloon. Development of a Prognostic Model for Hospital Mortality in Patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Admitted to the Intensive Care Unit
Objectives: This study aimed to develop a prognostic model to predict mortality among SLE patients in ICU.
Methods: In this retrospective cohort study, we extracted SLE patients from the MIMIC-IV database. Multivariate Cox regression based on the Akaike information criterion and P value was used to establish the prognostic model. Internal validation was performed by a bootstrap resampling approach with 100 replications. The discrimination and calibration of the model were evaluated by Harrell's concordance index and calibration plot. Decision curve analysis was performed to evaluate its clinical application.
Results: A total of 301 patients were finally included in the study. 276 (91.7%) patients were in the survivor group and 25 (8.3%) patients were in the non-survivor group. Multivariate Cox regression analysis included Peripheral vascular disease (adjusted HR 8.47 [2.57-27.98],p<0.001), Peptic ulcer disease (adjusted HR 3.79 [1.01-14.14],p=0.048), Metastatic solid tumor (adjusted HR 16.80 [3.95-71.90],p<0.001), GCS motor upon ICU admission (adjusted HR 0.79 [0.65-0.98],p=0.028), lowest SBP (adjusted HR 0.95 [0.93-0.97], p<0.001) and lowest AG (adjusted HR 1.18 [1.09-1.29],p<0.001) to construct the model. The adjusted C-index was 0.805 and the calibration plot revealed that the predicted outcome was in agreement with the actual observations. The Kaplan–Meier survival curves revealed a significantly lower survival probability in the high-risk group than in the low-risk group (P < 0.0001). DCA showed that the model was clinically useful.
Conclusion: The prognostic model could help clinicians to stratify SLE patients and provide appropriate care
Is Ocular Counter-Roll Otolith-Ocular Reflex?
Purpose
Ocular counter-roll has been thought to be an otolith-ocular reflex. However, there is a hypothesis that it is a semicircular canal (SCC) ocular reflex. This study aimed to validate whether ocular counter-roll can be explained by the SCC theory.
Methods
Experiment 1: Two springs with plastic balls (different turning radius) were fixed to a swivel chair and were rotated suddenly. Experiment 2: Subject was seated and the entire upper body was bent forward 60 degrees with the neck fixed. Experiment 3: Subject was seated, the head was twisted 45 degrees to the right and the entire upper body was bent forward 60 degrees with the neck fixed. Experiment 4 (roll rotation): Subject was asked to tilt his upper body 60 degrees to the left. Eye movements in the dark were observed and recorded using an infrared camera. In Experiments 2, 3 and 4, subjects were four healthy humans.
Results
Experiment 1: Immediately after the movement, the two balls moved tangentially. The ball on the outside spring moved more compared to the ball attached to the inside spring. Experiment 2: In all subjects, nystagmus was vertical. The direction was downward. Experiment 3: In all subjects, nystagmus was vertical/torsional. The direction was downward (torsional component was leftward). Experiment 4: In all subjects, nystagmus was torsional, and the direction was leftward.
Conclusion
Since the role of SCCs is to sense angular acceleration in all directions of 360 degrees in a coordinated manner, bilateral vertical SCCs are stimulated in roll rotation. Therefore, SCC theory can explain the generation of ocular counter-roll. We proposed the “difference of inertial forces” theory to explain the mechanism of vestibulo-ocular reflex
Climate Perception and Adaptation Decision of Apple Growers in Guanzhong Plain Region Based on Structural Equation Model
It is important to clarify the influence path of farmers' climate change perception and adaptation behavior decision-making for the further effective implementation of rural revitalization strategy. Based on structural equation model, SPSS and Amos software were used to import survey data, and then the influence path of climate change perception and adaptation behavior of apple farmers in the study area was discussed. The results showed that: (1) The individual characteristics of farmers had a significant positive effect on their objective adaptation ability, but had a negative effect on their climate change perception ability and household economic characteristics. (2) The family characteristics of farmers had a negative and significant effect on objective adaptation. (3) Farmers' climate perception had a significant positive effect on their objective adaptation ability. The indicators of each potential variable can reflect itself well and have significant representativeness. Finally, according to the test results of structural equation model, some effective suggestions are put forward for individual, family and perception
A Study of the Impact of Embeddedness and Relational Networks on Organizational Resilience in Public Benefit Organizations
The current global natural disasters, financial crises, regional conflicts, and public health emergencies have had a significant impact on all countries, organizations, and individuals, and not only are commercial organizations in a quandary in terms of their survival and development, but nonprofit organizations are also facing unprecedented impacts and challenges. Understanding how public interest organizations have survived the crisis, and in some cases thrived, has drawn increasing attention to Organizational resilience. The article investigates the effects of relational networks, embeddedness, and innovation capacity on the Organizational resilience of public interest institutions, and finds that relational networks have a direct positive effect on the Organizational resilience of public interest institutions; and that bimodal innovation plays a fully mediating role between relational networks and the resilience of public interest institutions. In addition, perceived embeddedness significantly moderated the relationship between inter-organizational relational networks and exploratory innovation, but its moderating effect on intra-organizational networks and exploitative innovation did not reach a significant level. The findings provide theoretical basis and practical insights for nonprofit organizations to optimize resource allocation and enhance crisis response capacity
