Research on Teaching Questioning in High School Geography Classroom Based on Geography Core Literacy

    Get PDF
As the core of high school geography education, the success of core literacy in geography is closely connected to the design of questions in class. In current teaching, it is hard for fragmented questioning to carry the goals of regional cognition and holistic thinking; Places, detached from life contexts, give geography little practical power in action; And a one-way question and answer mechanism neglects our capacities to penetrate the concept of human-earth coordination. In this paper, we analyse the pain points along the lines of questioning the latest goals, authenticity in context and imbalanced mechanisms of interactions, and then we suggest the following reconstruction of the chain of questions with literacy features as an anchor point: activating spatial thinking through real situations, develop holism through follow up questioning, and deepen human-earth cognition with dynamic feedback. Innovation in classroom questioning does not only mean optimising methodology, it is leap crossing geography education from a knowledge transfer to a literacy generation approach

This paper designs an innovative teaching plan for high school mathematics based on problem-solving, using the law of total probability as an example. It is widely agreed that deep learning requires students to face challenging problems and understand the knowledge in the process of solving them. Studies show that problem-oriented teaching strategies can stimulate students’ mathematical thinking and promote deep understanding of concepts and formulas. Through case analysis, this research proposes an effective classroom approach for deep learning in teaching the law of total probability, aiming to improve students' mathematical competency

Curriculum Ideology and Politics in High School English Reading Classes: A Case Study of Unit 4 in PEP Compulsory English Book 2

    Get PDF
Based on the perspective of disciplinary core literacy, this paper explores the practical integration of curriculum ideology and politics (CIP) in high school English reading and thinking classes. It first analyzes the theoretical significance of combining CIP with the cultivation of English core competencies—language ability, learning strategies, cultural awareness, and thinking quality—highlighting how this integration promotes students’ comprehensive development and value formation. Taking the Reading & Thinking section of Unit 4 in Required English Book 2 by People’s Education Press as a case study, the paper proposes teaching strategies including precise goal setting, in-depth mining of ideological and political elements in textbooks, and embedding value guidance throughout the teaching process. The practice demonstrates that these strategies effectively realize the organic fusion of disciplinary literacy and CIP, enhancing both students’ language skills and moral qualities, and advancing the educational mission of fostering well-rounded talents with international vision and social responsibility in high school English education. This study offers practical examples for English teachers to implement CIP and enriches the theoretical and practical framework of curriculum ideology and politics in language teaching

Research on the Teaching Mode of the "Advanced Financial Management" Course Based on the BOPPPS Teaching Mode

    Get PDF
Curriculum reform based on the BOPPPS teaching model is an effective way to improve the quality of undergraduate education and cultivate applied talents. This paper takes the "Light Asset operation model" in the Advanced Financial Management course as an example and designs the teaching according to the six links of "introduction - objective - pre-test - participatory learning - post-test - summary". Through case studies, students are guided to participate in learning throughout the process, strengthen their financial strategic thinking, risk awareness and practical innovation ability, and achieve the "trinity" teaching objectives of knowledge imparting, ability development and value guidance. The research provides new ideas for the teaching reform of the financial management course and the cultivation of applied talents

Confucian Ethics and Social Work Theory: The Origin of the Idea of "helping people help themselves" in Chinese Literary Education

    Get PDF
This study adopts an interdisciplinary approach to systematically examine the historical origins and educational logic of the "helping others to help themselves" philosophy within Confucian ethics and social work theory. Using Chinese literary education as a case study and adopting an international comparative perspective, it reveals how Confucian ethical concepts such as "benevolence,"  "moderation," and "ritual systems" are subtly transmitted through literary narratives, pedagogical contexts, and educational evaluations. These concepts resonate with social work theories like the "strengths-based perspective" and "ecosystem theory." The research demonstrates that the "helping others to help themselves" practice in Chinese literary education neither represents a simplistic transplant of Western theories nor a mechanical reproduction of traditional ethics. Instead, it achieves creative transformation of classical wisdom through cultural subjectivity construction. The findings provide an Eastern paradigm for the localization of global social work theory, open new avenues for studying the social functions of literary education, and offer theoretical support for designing interdisciplinary curricula and developing culturally responsive teaching models for educators

Exploration and Practice of Innovative Practical Ability Cultivation Model for Marine Science Undergraduates

    Get PDF
With the in-depth implementation of China's "Maritime Power" strategy, there is an increasingly urgent demand for marine professionals who possess both solid theoretical foundations and outstanding innovative practical abilities. Traditional teaching models focusing primarily on theoretical instruction can no longer meet the requirements for cultivating interdisciplinary and innovative talents in the new era. This paper systematically explores and constructs a novel "Teaching-Research-Industry" triple helix-driven cultivation model to address prominent issues in current marine education, including the disconnection between theory and practice, limited coverage of research training, and insufficient alignment with industry needs. The model deepens classroom reform through project-based teaching, broadens students' horizons by leveraging research platforms, and enhances students' ability to solve complex engineering and scientific problems through industry-education integration in real-world projects, while ensuring cultivation quality through a comprehensive, diversified evaluation system. Four years of practice has demonstrated that this model effectively stimulates students' innovative potential, significantly improves their hands-on skills, teamwork, and comprehensive innovative abilities, with a threefold increase in awards won in technological innovation competitions and notable enhancement in employment competitiveness, providing valuable references for marine talent cultivation in similar institutions

Knowledge Production and Dissemination in Human-AI Collaboration: Generative AI as Travel Consultants

    Get PDF
Currently, the opportunities and challenges posed by artificial intelligence (AI) in travel consulting and user experience remain underexplored. This paper takes Wanderboat, an AI-driven customized online travel platform, as the research subject. Based on the Theory of Interactive Media Effects (TIME), the study employs semi-structured interviews and grounded theory methods to explore the social impacts of AI affordances on Human-AI Interaction (HAII). The findings reveal that in the knowledge production process, there are interaction modes of "full agency," "negotiated agency," and "agency paradox" between machine agency and user agency. In the content consumption and dissemination stages, positive or negative machine heuristics, along with social interaction participation provided by online communities, become factors that either enhance or diminish user engagement. Due to users' difficulty in taming or resisting AI algorithms based on the ChatGPT model, AI travel consultants hold a dominant position in the knowledge mediation process, leading to a trust crisis and technological fear among users regarding AI-generated content. This results in a zero-sum game dynamic in the "consultant-client" relationship
