    Analysis of Factors Influencing the Price of Beijing Carbon Emission Allowance Based on the VAR Model

    Effectively constructing a carbon emission trading Market is crucial for China to achieve its goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality. However, carbon emission allowance prices are influenced by various factors. This paper employs a Vector Autoregression (VAR) model, using the average transaction price of Beijing Carbon Emission Allowances (BEA) as the research subject. It analyzes related indicators from four aspects: energy prices, macroeconomic conditions, environmental factors, and public sentiment. The results show that among energy price factors, coal and oil prices have a positive impact on BEA prices, while natural gas has a negative impact. Macroeconomic factors initially have a negative impact, followed by fluctuating recovery. Environmental factors, such as the Air Quality Index (AQI) and maximum temperature, initially have a positive impact on BEA prices, followed by fluctuating recovery, while the minimum temperature has the opposite effect. Public sentiment has a significant negative impact on BEA price fluctuations. The empirical results of this study can help investors better understand the changes in the prices of carbon emission allowance, provide references for policymakers, and offer foundations for constructing a national carbon emission trading market that reflects comprehensive and accurate information

    This case study explores the challenges faced by Alex, a Russian immigrant student attending school in Slovenia during the Russia-Ukraine conflicts in 2022. The study examines how the conflict impacted Alex’s academic performance, social integration, and mental well-being, highlighting alienation, discrimination, and the challenges of adjusting to a new educational environment. Through the lens of Bronfenbrenner’s ecological systems theory, the paper analyses the interactions between Alex’s immediate and broader social contexts, including family, school, and society. The research draws attention to the status quo of inclusive education in Slovenia, discussing the barriers and opportunities for supporting immigrant students in the classroom. Finally, the paper proposes practical strategies for educators to foster resilience in immigrant students, emphasising cultural sensitivity, social support, and developing a positive learning environment

    Corpus-Driven Translation Studies and Exploration from the Perspective of Ecolinguistics

    Utilizing a corpus, this paper delves deeply into the intrinsic connection between translation and ecolinguistics. Through meticulously constructing a corpus comprising diverse source texts and their corresponding translated texts, and employing scientific methods such as context analysis, the study comprehensively explores ecolinguistic issues in translation. The research reveals that translators consider the language habits, cultural backgrounds, and ecological contexts of the target language when dealing with vocabulary related to the ecological environment. The translated texts not only carry the ecological environmental information of the source texts but also reflect the translator’s ecological awareness to a certain extent. This study provides a fresh perspective and empirical evidence for the crossover integration of translation studies and ecolinguistics, facilitating the further development of interdisciplinary research

    A New Mean-Risk Quality Portfolio Optimization Model

    This paper introduces a new mean-risk quality portfolio optimization model, grounded in uncertainty theory. It assumes that the return of assets is an uncertain variable and utilizes data estimated by experts to test the model. The approach begins by using the expected value of return and risk quality to represent the return and risk of the portfolio respectively. A new risk measure, termed “risk quality,” is introduced, leading to the establishment of the mean-risk quality portfolio optimization model. Next, to more closely align with real financial markets, the paper integrates constraints reflecting realistic financial market characteristics. These include transaction costs, financing constraints, and threshold constraints. By doing so, it establishes a mean-risk quality model with minimized risk, providing a more robust portfolio optimization framework. Finally, both the basic mean-risk-quality model and the version incorporating realistic constraints are empirically analyzed using genetic algorithms. Sensitivity tests are conducted on the robust portfolio model with minimized risk to further validate its effectiveness

    Grey Bass Model Based on Weakening Buffer Operator and its Application in New Energy Vehicle Sales Forecast

    With the enhancement of global environmental awareness and the promotion of technological innovation, the new energy vehicle market has shown a rapid growth trend. However, due to the complexity and variability of the new energy vehicle market, accurately forecasting its sales has become a challenge. In this paper, a grey Bass model based on the weakening buffer operator is proposed for the prediction of NEV sales. This model combines the advantages of the grey system theory and Bass diffusion model, and preprocesses the data through the weakening buffer operator, which improves the accuracy of the prediction. This paper first introduces the basic principle of the grey system theory and Bass diffusion model, then elaborates the construction method of the grey Bass model based on the weakening buffer operator, and verifies the effectiveness of the model through an example. The research results show that the model can better predict the sales volume of new energy vehicles, and provide a scientific basis for the decision of related enterprises

Through analyzing factors affecting rural pupils' learning outcomes from both familial and institutional perspectives, the article proposes concrete collaborative strategies, aiming to provide theoretical support and practical guidance for the development of rural basic education

    Using virtual simulations with avatars to train preservice special educators’ relational competence toward students with neurodevelopmental conditions

    Teacher-student relationships (TSRs) involving students with neurodevelopmental conditions (NDCs) are challenging and tend to be of lower quality compared to those involving neurotypical students. The purpose of this study is to explore in what respects the use of avatar technology can support the development of preservice special educators’(PSEs) relational competence toward students with NDCs. We used two data sources: focus group interviews (n = 18) and screen observations of the interactions (n = 37). The findings show that PSEs perceive relational competence as situated competence, manifested in the teacher’s ability to establish positive and supportive relationships through identification and management of emotions and active listening and validation. PSEs’ relational competence is reflected in their capability to show patience, encouragement, empathy, sensitivity, involvement, understanding, validation, and interest in interactions with students. Overall, the findings suggest that avatar technology is a meaningful and relevant tool to support the development of PSEs’ relational competence with regard to students with NDCs
