Machine Learning based Vehicle Counting and Detection System

    Get PDF
The study of how machines perceive instead of humans is known as vehicle detection or computer vision object identification. The primary purpose of a vehicle detection system is to identify one or multiple vehicles within the input images and live video feed. The dataset is used to train image processing algorithms for tasks like detection and tracking. To pinpoint the defects and strength of each image processing system, assessment criteria are used to develop, train, test, and compare them. To recognize, track, and count the vehicle in images and videos, the image processing algorithms such as CNN YOLOv3 and SVM are implemented. The main goal and intention of this work is to develop a system that can intelligently identify and track automobiles in still images and moving movies. The results demonstrated that CNN-based YOLOv3 does a  good job of detecting and tracking vehicles.   &nbsp

Vaishnava Philosophy and the Poetic Aesthetics: An Analysis of Jayadeva’s Gitagovindam

    Get PDF
Literature finds the best expression when literary aesthetics and philosophy run side by side. The former offers the external charm, while the latter inculcates the more profound implication with the aim of providing it with a superior stature and permanence. Jayadeva’s Gitagovindam, being a colossal work in the field of Vaishnava literature, does contain the brilliant juxtaposition of both. This article attempts to show how Jayadeva’s Gitagovindam, a colossal work in the field of Vaishnava literature, does contain the brilliant juxtaposition of both. On the one hand, like a typical lyrical poem, its melodic nature does have a soothing effect and on the other, the use of philosophy instils in it a greater depth and seriousness to uplift itself as a book of devotion and religious inspiration. Moreover, the importance of this Holy Scripture lies in the fact that it not only played a significant role in paving the way to form a new sect in the Vaishnava religion, known as ‘Gaudiya Vaishnavism’, but also showed the later Vaishnava lyricists the art of portraying in words the amorous love of Lord Krishna and Radha with compassion and tears

Chomsky’s Theory of Mind: Concepts and Contents

    Get PDF
Nowadays, it is very debatable among philosophers, psychologists, linguists and artificial intelligence scientists that what mind actually is, where it exists and how it works? Chomsky, the great philosopher and the main exponent of cognitive revolution tries to sketch the description of mind, its nature, mental processes, its structure as well as its relation with its other cognitive modules. It also examines innate and acquired knowledge of mind. In this paper, I shall argue about the capacities of the mind, why Chomsky called mind capacity as different from its ability and other faculties. This paper also describes the theories that are connected with the field of mind i.e, mind and language, linguistic mentalism, Modular mind, Cartesian mind, mind-body problem, Philosophical grammar, and thought processes like reasoning and perceptions. Firstly, I shall argue about, does Chomsky consider mind different from brain, consciousness and thought?  Secondly, does Chomsky consider mind as a separate concept or he regards it as the constituent of language only? And thirdly, how Chomsky responds to rationalists and empiricists

Metaphorical Engagements in Feminist Philosophy: Two Close Readings

    No full text
Metaphors have been inserted by philosophers in philosophical discourses to simplify abstract and intricate concepts. The practice of using metaphor denotes its rhetorical, aesthetic, linguistic and cognitive function. In basic formulation, metaphor has also been used by philosophers as a device, strategy, method, stylist ornament and a medium of expression. In this background, the following paper intends to vindicate the intimate interaction between philosophy and metaphor, with marked emphasis on the domain of feminist philosophy. Categorically, by considering the context of feminist philosophical discourses, in this work, I explore the contributions of two influential feminist thinkers, namely, Young and Irigaray to elucidate the proposed metaphorical narrative. I suggest that these feminist philosophers ‘talk metaphorically’ beyond its ornamental or aesthetic value; beyond objectivism. To the contrary, I propose and argue that their employment of metaphor appeals to an epistemological thematic. Furthermore, I shall exhibit the close affinity between the metaphors they insert in their respective pursuits. Questions that shall be considered here are: Why metaphor matters in philosophical contexts? What does it mean to talk metaphorically in feminist philosophical scholarship? What and how do these feminist thinkers contribute to this endeavor? What is the implication of their respective contributions? Thus, I aim at uncovering and deepening the appearance, connotation and influence of metaphor in feminist scholarship

Impact of Gig Economy and Emerging Challenges on Banking Sector – an Indian perspective

    Get PDF
This paper explores the magnitude of changes that is happening in the Indian banking sector in terms of the technology used, human resource deployed and change in the customer experience. The emergence of gig workforce has made banks rework their strategy. Here, we will describe how Indian banking sector is battling legacy systems and trying to adopt to latest technologies. The gig economy which has been playing a major role in many other sectors have not made a significant impact in the banking industry. The paper discusses the reasons this and gives a first-hand perspective of how the banking sector is getting disrupted

Fe3+/Fe2+ - ZnO nanostructures: Synergetic effect of annealing temperature on Structural, Optical and Dielectric properties

    Get PDF
The impact of Fe3+ dopant on structural, morphological and electric properties of ZnO nano materials prepared via co-precipitation methodology is explored in this work. The XRD measurements affirmed the wurtzite hexagonal arrangement with the P63mc space group. Crystalline size, inter-planar spacing, and cell volume of the Fe3+/ZnO-400 were determined to be 38.6 nm, 2.6903 nm and 57.44 Å3, individually. SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope)was utilized for morphological investigations of the surface of samples. The photoluminescence (PL) studies were estimated at 325 nm excitation wavelength via utilizing a photoluminescence spectrometer to observe the emission spectrum of samples. FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared) spectrometer was used to measure IR spectra to identify the presence of bonds in the samples with peaks around 536-634 cm-1. Complex impedance measurements of the Fe3+/ZnO-RT and Fe3+/ZnO-400 samples were estimated at 310 K using a galvanostat in the range of frequency from 50 Hz to 5 MHz

Towards Controlling Mouse through Hand Gestures: A Novel and Efficient Approach

    Get PDF
We tend to notice a lot of development in the computing world in today’s modern world. Computer science is a technique that combines today's technologies. This paper is also backed by a small portion of AI. This paper shows how to use our computer's window exploitation camera to create a hand gesture-based virtual mouse that allows you to control the entire system by merely moving your fingertips. Finger detecting methods for quick camera access and simple computer software make it even more accessible. A motion tracking mouse is implemented using the system. This technology eliminates the need for a physical mouse, saving time and effort

Five decades of determining Planck’s constant using light emitting diodes in Undergraduate Laboratories - A Review

    Get PDF
Determination of Planck’s constant using LEDs has been a favourite experiment even from student perspective because of its simplicity and taught in undergraduate laboratories for the past five decades. Several modifications and improvements adopted in both experiment procedure as well as data analysis part of this experiment during this period have been revisited in this paper. From the simplest experiment to determine turn-on voltages using human judgement with naked eye to advanced equipment to detect even pico ampere current flowing through LED’s have been proposed by various researchers. Many of these proposals were successful in arriving at Planck’s constant with excellent agreement with standard value. Reasons for yielding unrealistic values of Planck’s constant have also been reported by several researchers
