    CURRENT STATE OF THE SMALL RPAS MAINTENAN CE IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC

    This paper summarize a current state of a small unmanned aerial vehicles maintenance at the territory of the Czech Republic. The word “small” means unmanned vehicles with the maximum take-off mass not exceeding 20 kg. A reader becomes familiar with a RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aerial Systems) maintenance issues an also with a legislation in the first part of the paper. The legislation determines requirements for their maintenance. The next part describes the current state of this type of the maintenance. The last part of the paper deals with the future of the small RPAS maintenance. There is a rough estimate of a future maintenance development in this part of the paper. There also are a possible solutions of these issues in this part. These things are there because the authors think that there is a space for a RPAS maintenance improving

    Článek je zaměřen na specifický kolizní bod dvou obecně preferovaných druhů dopravy – veřejné hromadné osobní dopravy a cyklistické dopravy. Řešen je světelně řízený přejezd pro cyklisty na Palackého třídě v Pardubicích, kde tím dochází ke zpomalování a zastavování části vozidel MHD a veřejné linkové dopravy. Provozní situace je vyhodnocena na základě realizovaných dopravních průzkumů. Dále je proveden výpočet propustnosti kolizního bodu. S cílem zlepšení kvality provozu je navrženo zřízení preference veřejné hromadné dopravy při činnosti světelného signalizačního zařízení. Tento návrh je vyhodnocen za tímto účelem vytvořeným simulačním modelem. V článku jsou uvedeny jak aspekty realizace preference v tomto praktickém případě, tak teoretické aspekty metod využitých při jejím posuzování.The paper is focused on specific intersection node of two types of transport – public mass passenger transport and cyclist transport. Both of these transport kinds are preferred in general way. Crossing for cyclists equipped with traffic lights located on Palackého Street in Pardubice is solved. Decelerations and stopping of a part of (urban, suburban as well as long-distance) public transport vehicles (connections) are occurred there. Operational situation is evaluated on the base of realized transport surveys. Capacity calculation of this intersection node is done next to it. Application of preference for public passenger transport in operation of traffic lights is proposed with an aim to improve the quality of operation. This proposal is evaluated by utilizing of simulation model, designed for this purpose. There are mentioned aspects for practical realisation of preference at this place as well as theoretical aspects for methods utilized for this evaluation

    Ensuring the motorways and expressways in terms of their safety is the primary task of the administrator. This activity includes, inter alia, on the one hand control of such roads, and on the other, to help drivers in need and deficiencies found. In Slovakia, the activity is performed by the National Motorway Company establishing Motorway patrols. The patrol operates 24 hours a day and has become a significant contribution to improving road safety in the Slovak Republic

    The voluminous body of work of Peter Ackroyd, one of the most versatile contemporary British writers, comprises chiefly of non-fiction and fiction. The first is dominated by his books on English history, English literature, the history and development of London, and a series of biographies of outstanding personalities he labels “Cockney Visionaries”, the latter by his novels. Taking some of the recent tendencies in historical fiction as a frame of reference and focusing on Ackroyd’s novels set solely in the past and both in the past and the present, this article examines how the various sides of his professional self – an historian, literary historian, biographer and writer – combine and intersect in his rendering and re-enacting history as a lively material and inheritance that can still be palpable in and illuminating for our present experience

    The Grotesque Body and Ageing in A.S.Byatt’s Short Fiction

    The paper deals with the work of the novelist Antonia Susan Byatt who became attracted to the short story genre which she often uses to express her fantastic ideas concerning the human body and its transformations, including ageing and death. Byatt often presents the human body as grotesque – it is deformed, hybrid, and/or monstrous. In her stories, the human bodies changed by circumstances or other factors usually signify the characters’ crisis in which they create new autonomies, new forms of existence. The paper discusses Byatt’s way of using the grotesque in depicting ageing and illness of her protagonists. The analysis is focused on two short stories from Little Black Book of Stories (2003) and explores the protagonists’ identity disintegration and body transformation as a result of inevitable life processes and the perception of human life as fragile and unstable

    Vzhľadom na neustále sa meniace požiadavky účastníkov cestnej premávky je potrebné vytvoriť dopravnú infraštruktúru, ktorá bude schopná plniť tieto požiadavky a zaviesť také organizačné opatrenia aby sa dosiahlo jej efektívne využitie. V našom príspevku sme sa zamerali na simuláciu dopravnej situácie na cestnej sieti medzi mestami Bytča a Ružomberok, kde sa často vyskytujú dopravné nehody a kongescie. Daný úsek patrí medzi najviac vyťažené úseky cestnej siete v Slovenskej republike.Due to the constantly changing demands of road users, it is necessary to create transport infrastructure which will be able to meet these demands and introduce organising measurements to help achieve the effective use of transport infrastructure. In our paper we focused on simulation of traffic situation on road network between city of Bytča and Ružomberok, where congestions and traffic accidents often occur.     Článek se zabývá tvorbou řídicího algoritmu pro uzavírání diferenciálu nákladního vozidla. Algoritmus vychází z předpokladů systému ZF ADM a je tvořen v softwaru Simulink-Stateflow. Článek především popisuje funkci algoritmu a jeho aplikaci na výpočtový model vozidla s pohonem 4x4. V závěru je provedena simulace jízdního manévru k ověření funkčnosti sestaveného řídicího algoritmu uzavírání diferenciálu.The paper deals with the creation of control algorithm for locking differential of a truck. This algorithm is based on assumptions of ZF ADM system and it is created using software Simulink-Stateflow. The article mainly describes the function of algorithm and its application to a computational model of a truck with 4x4 drive. In conclusion, a simulation of driving manoeuvres was done to verify the functionality of the assembled differential control algorithm

    Tento článok sa zaoberá určovaním zraniteľných prvkov dopravnej siete s využitím metód viackriteriálneho rozhodovania. Na účel určovania zraniteľnosti bola použitá konkrétna metóda AHP - Analytic Hierarchy Process. Táto metóda je aplikovaná na reálnych úsekoch cestnej siete Slovenskej republiky. Jednotlivé úseky sú posúdené na základe vybraných kritérií a princípoch zvolenej metódy.This article discusses transport network elements vulnerability identification using methods of multicriteria decision-making. For the purpose of the vulnerability determining the method AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) was used. This method is applied to real sections of road of the Slovak Republic. The individual sections are assessed based on selected criteria and principles of the chosen method
