POSSIBILITIES FOR ASSESSING THE QUALITY OF INLAND WATERWAYS
Bezpečnosť vnútrozemskej vodnej dopravy predstavuje komplex vzájomne prepojených systémov riadenia plavby a prevádzky vodných ciest. The safety of inland waterway transport is a complex of interconnected navigation and waterway management systems. Tracking and assessing the quality of waterways depends, in particular, on the amount of shipping accidents and limitations that hinder the smooth transport process. The increase in navigation volumes has a direct effect on increasing the risk of navigation accidents. Tracking and assessing the quality of inland waterways is one of the tools to respond to changes in transport performance as well as an impulse to take the necessary safety measures
THE ITALIAN WATER INLAND TRANSPORT SCENARIO AND MAJOR INLAND PORTS
The purpose of this article is to introduce the main Italian inland ports and the principal Italian rivers in the context of the Italian water inland transport. The work, for its big part, is focused on the major Italian idroviary system (Padano-Veneto), showing the most relevant features (connections, canals and related ports)
REGIONAL AIRPORTS
The consequence of social and economic changes in the Czech Republic was the liberalization of air transport. After the politically bipolar Europe ceased to exist and the Czech Republic joined NATO, there was no need to keep so many military airports, which were therefore converted into civilian airports. After some time and especially recently, it is thought that the airports should be deemed as an integral part of the public transport infrastructure
COMPARISON OF PAYMENTS FOR ACCESS TO AND USE OF RAILWAY INFRASTRUCTURE AND SELECTED SERVICE FACILITIES AT ŽSR FROM 01.01.2019
The contribution briefly focuses on a new charging system for access to and use of railway infrastructure and service equipment at the ŽSR, which will enter into force on January 1, 2019 and analyzes the price comparisons with the valid system that applied in the period 1.1.2011 - 31.12.2018. The contribution focuses on payments for the minimum access package (so-called track-side payments) and payments for access to selected service facilities - passenger and freight stations
“Constant Art”: Concept of Love in Poetry of Mary Wroth in Dialogue with the Male Poetic Tradition
The paper intends to analyse development of the literary representation of women in Elizabethan and Jacobean culture, forming an integral part of female authorship during this period, especially on the basis of Mary Wrothʼs poetry in the dialogue with the male poetic tradition (William Herbert, William Shakespeare). However, instead of taking aim at the male view, the genius of Wroth is to absorb it and use it for her own ends. Reclaiming the virtues of the woman through constancy, she upends the conventional views of the woman. Thus, Wroth strengthens the autonomy of the woman by allowing her to make the decision to accept a role subordinate to man
PROCESS MODEL OF COMMERCIAL HANDL ING IN AIR TRANSPORT IN RELATION TO AVIATION SECURITY
Cílem článku analyzovat slabá místa, ve kterých by mohlo dojít k narušení integrity systému bezpečnostních sítí ochrany civilní letecké dopravy před protiprávními činy. Pro znázornění procesu obchodního odbavení cestujících a zapsaných i kabinových zavazadel v letecké dopravě bylo vytvořeno grafické schéma systému za pomoci modelu procesů řízených událostmi – eEPC modelu. The aim of the article is to analyze weaknesses in which the integrity of the civil aviation security protection system could be impaired. To illustrate the process of commercial passenger and cabin baggage handling in air transport, a graphical scheme of the system was created using the event-driven proces chain model
Preacher and Bishop Heinrich von Wildenstein († 1409): Life of a Man Who Spoke at the Funeral of Charles IV
Heinrich von Wildenstein is known to have preached at the funeral of Charles IV in 1378, but there was no biographical study of this preacher until now. The paper focuses on portraying a life of the cleric, who maintained close contact with the papal curia in Avignon and Rome, who held three episcopal offices during his lifetime (in Krujä, Trieste and Pićan), and he also stayed in Bohemia in the 1370s. He is documented to have resided at the court of emperor Charles IV in Prague, as well as at the court of bishop Albert von Sternberg in East Bohemian town Litomyšl. The paper also tries to clarify a question of Heinrich‘s origin.Heinrich von Wildenstein is known to have preached at the funeral of Charles IV in 1378, but there was no biographical study of this preacher until now. “Prussian Emigrants”. Glatz-Silesian Communities in East and East-Central Bohemia (1763–1946)
After the Seven Years‘ War (1756–1763) a number of socalled “Prussian emigrants” arrived in Bohemia. These migrants came mainly from the County of Glatz and Silesia. Their homeland was permanently connected to Prussia, but many Catholics remained loyal to the Habsburgs. Some of them initially found their refuge in the Bohemian borderland. Later a part of them moved to Bohemian inland. Between 1780 and 1785 they founded, or participated in the founding, twelve villages near Pardubice and one settlement in the Poděbrady estate. The Germanspeaking colonists came to the purely Czech regions. The aim of this article is to analyze the course of this migration, colonization, integration and later assimilation processes that led to the decline of the German settlements by the early 20th century. Attention will be paid to the collective identity of immigrants and their descendants, their relations to the Czech surroundings, marriage strategies, demographic trends and changes in language identity. The relics of the defunct German settlements, including the fate of the last native Germanspeaker, will also be mentioned. After the Seven Years‘ War (1756–1763) a number of socalled “Prussian emigrants” arrived in Bohemia. The Anabaptist Physicians, Barber-Surgeons and Midwives in the 16th and 17th Century
The Anabaptist physicians, barbersurgeons and midwives played an important part in the medicine of the 16th and 17th century. They were required by both the Bohemian and Moravian nobility, regardless of their theological radicalism, for their skilfulness and for the increasing demand for physicians in the 16th century. In consequence of their longterm absence in the Anabaptist communities, caused by the travels to the noble patients, the physicians and barbersurgeons were predisposed to be independent and reluctant to submit to the order prevailing in the Anabaptist communities. Still, they belonged to the most prominent members of the fellowship. The Anabaptist midwives were, similarly to the physicians and barbersurgeons, demanded by the Moravian nobility, but for the lack of sources, the substance of the Anabaptist midwifery remains unknown. The Anabaptist physicians, barbersurgeons and midwives played an important part in the medicine of the 16th and 17th century.
