    THE INFLUENCE OF THE RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION PROCESS ON EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE PT KIARA SAWIT ABADI 1

    Palm oil plantation companies are encountering intense competition in the global market. To effectively engage in this competition, PT Kiara Sawit Abadi must ensure that employee performance is at its peak to realize its business objectives. The recruitment process conducted by PT Kiara Sawit Abadi have a positive impactt on employe performancee. This is evident from the significance level of 0.005, which is below 0.05, and the calculate t-value of 2.924, surpassing the t-table valuee of 1.676. Consequently, it can be inferred that the recruitmen proces afects the performancee of employes at PT Kiara Sawit Abadi. Similarly, the selection process administered by PT Kiara Sawit Abadi also significantly and positively influences employee performance. This is demonstrated by the significance level of 0.003, lower than 0.05, and the calculate t-valuee of 3.087, exceding the t-table value of 1.676. Thus, it can be deduced that the selection process impacts employee performance at PT Kiara Sawit Abadi. The combined recruitmen and selectio process exert a positiv and notable influenced on employe performanced at PT Kiara Abadi. This is substantiated by the F Test results, indicating a significancee  valu of 0.001 < 0.05. Employee performance at PT Kiara Sawit Abadi is influenced by the recruitment process by 55.3% and selection by 56.1%. In conclusion, the variable of selection holds the highest influence on employee performance at PT Kiara Sawit Abadi. PT Kiara Sawit Abadi is encouraged to enhance both the employee recruitment and training process and the selection process to enhance the productivity of its employees.   Keywords: Recruitment, Selection, Employee Performanc

    AUDIT OPERASIONAL ATAS BIAYA PERJALANAN DINAS DAN TUGAS BELAJAR (STUDI KASUS PADA UNIVERSITAS XYZ)

    The objective of the operational audit is to analyze whether the disbursement process and the cost accountability for official travel and study assignments have been running effectively and efficiently in accordance with the Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) in the university, and identify problems that arise as a result of the inefficiency and ineffectiveness of the accountability process at XYZ University. The research method used in this research is descriptive analysis by collecting data so that it can provide a fairly clear picture of the object under study to make conclusions. In addition, researchers collect and process the results of questionnaires related to internal control and conduct interviews with related parties. From the research conducted, it is known that the costs of official travel and study assignments are uncollectible advances that arise because there is no responsibility for these costs. Internal control over the provision of official travel costs and study assignments is considered effective, but accountability for these costs is considered less effective. Apart from this, the accountability for costs that have been incurred but canceled by means of returning the down payment is deemed inefficient. The main cause of the ineffectiveness and inefficient of this procedure is the lack of firmness in imposing sanctions on employees who do not carry out accountability for the costs of official travel and study assignments. The recommendations put forward by researchers need to be implemented by the university as a step towards improving the procedure for giving and accounting for costs for official travel and study assignments.   Keywords: Operational Audit, Cost, Down Payment

    The Relationship between Breakfast Habits and Knowledge of Nutritional Status and Learning Achievement of Class VII Students of SMPN 02 Banjar Agung, Lampung

    Breakfast is an activity that has benefits for school children which contributes energy and nutritional needs to support daily activities. Better memory is associated with increased glucose, indicating brain performance, especially those related to memory aspects. Consuming breakfast can improve cognitive learning and academic achievement. If children have good nutritional knowledge, they will determine which foods to consume that are healthy and have high nutrition. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between breakfast habits and knowledge of nutritional status and learning achievement at SMPN 02 Banjar Agung, Lampung. The method used in this research uses descriptive analytics with a cross sectional approach. This research was conducted from June to July 2022. The number of samples in this research was 120 class VII students at SMPN 02 Banjar Agung who were filtered according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data was tested in the semester. This research showed that 100 people (80.0%) had good breakfast habits and 89 people (74.2%) had good learning achievements. Based on the results of the Chi Square test, the relationship between breakfast and knowledge of nutritional status obtained a p value = 0.040 (p < 0.05). The results of the Chi Square test regarding the relationship between breakfast and learning achievement obtained a p value = 0.000 (p < 0.05). It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between breakfast and children\u27s nutritional status and learning achievement

    Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus (ABK) memiliki keterbatasan secara fisik, mental, emosi, sosial, dan intelektual, dalam hal ini salah satu yang termasuk sebagai anak berkebutuhan khusus adalah tunagrahita, ini dikarenakan memiliki nilai intelengensia di bawah rata-rata dapat menjadi hambatan bagi mereka sehingga kesulitan untuk memahami materi pada proses pembelajaran terkhususnya matematika. Sehingga diperlukan suatu inovasi yang memiliki tujuan untuk menciptakan media pembelajaran matematika bagi anak tunagrahita dalam mendukung target SDGs 2030 (Sustainable Development Goals) yaitu Smart Book Mathematic for Difabel (SOMABEL) yang harapannya mampu mendukung mereka dalam menghadapi hambatan belajar matematika khususnya materi bangun datar. Metode penelitian yang dipilih adalah Research and Development (R&D), pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan studi kasus, studi Pustaka, observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran Somabel dapat meningkatkan semangat belajar siswa tunagrahita yang mana media ini secara langsung terintegrasi pada teknologi berbasis website, yang memiliki sekaligus melestarikan budaya Provinsi Bengkulu, serta desain buku dan media fisik yang menarik sehingga tidak membosankan dalam belajar materi matematika.     AN EXACT SYMPLECTIC STRUCTURE OF LOW DIMENSIONAL 2-STEP SOLVABLE LIE ALGEBRAS

    In this paper, we study a Lie algebra equipped by an exact symplectic structure. This condition implies that the Lie algebra has even dimension. The research aims to identify and to contruct 2-step solvable exact symplectic Lie algebras of low dimension with explicit formulas for their one-forms and symplectic forms. For case of four-dimensional, we found that only one class among three classes is 2-step solvable exact symplectic Lie algebra. Furthermore, we also give more examples for case six and eight dimensional of Lie algebras with exact symplectic forms which is included 2-step solvable exact sympletic Lie algebras. Moreover, it is well known that a 2-step solvable Lie algebra equipped by an exact symplectic form is nothing but it is called  a 2-step solvable Frobenius Lie algebra

    Improving Junior High School Students\u27 Mathematical Understanding Ability Through Powerpoint Assisted Visual Media

    Students typically have less interest in learning mathematics because it is still seen as a challenging subject. As a result, when compared to other disciplines, the pupils\u27 mathematics understanding abilities remained below average. The aim of this study was to find out how employing visual aids, such as PowerPoint, to teach geometric shapes to students improved their mathematical comprehension skills. This kind of study uses a random subject posttest design and is therefore quasi-experimental. The population of this study consisted of students in class VIII SMPN 1 Pagelaran; the samples were drawn using the purposive sampling technique from students in class VIII C, which was the experimental class, and class VIII D, which was the control class. The t-test, homogeneity test, and normalcy test are the data analysis methods employed. With a significant rate of0.05, the testing results for the hypothesis produced tstat= 3.2 > ttable= 1.6801. This indicates that while Ha is acceptable, Ho is denied. This demonstrates how employing PowerPoint-assisted visual aids in mathematics instruction increases students\u27 capacity for mathematical knowledge

    Open-Ended Approach for Critical Thinking Skills in Mathematics Education: A Meta-Analysis

    There have been numerous research on developing students’ critical thinking skills through an open-ended approach in mathematics education show conflicting results. Some research results implied a strong effect; others range from moderate to modest effect. This research aims to summarize and predict the implementation of an open-ended approach to critical thinking skills in mathematics education over the last five years. This research utilized a meta-analysis using the PICOS (Population, Interventions, Comparator, Outcomes, and Study Design) approach. The sample used in this research is studies published in the form of articles and proceedings as well as theses and dissertations. The databases are sourced from Google Scholar, Crossref, and Semantic Science using the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses) method, which includes 14 primary studies found during 2018-2023 in Indonesia. The results are the implementations of an open-ended approach to improve critical thinking skills in mathematics education, show an average of 1.44, which is included in the high category. Factors that influence the heterogeneity of effect sizes are study characteristics, such as sample size, year of publication, level of education, demographics, and publication type. The characteristics of the research that results in a large effect size value are an open-ended approach implemented in elementary schools, studies with a sample size of more than 30, studies that are published in 2018 and in journals, and implementation of the approach in regencies

    Implementation of the PIMCA Learning Model Assisted by HOTS-based LKPD to Improve Critical Thinking Skills on Temperature and Heat Material

    Critical thinking skills are one of the skills that students must have. This skill can be trained through various scientific disciplines, one of which is physics. If we look at its characteristics, temperature and heat physics material is able to train students critical thinking skills using the knowledge and experience they have. But in reality, students consider temperature and heat material to be difficult and boring. This is due to lack of student involvement and lack of student understanding of temperature and heat material. Therefore, this research aims to determine the improvement of students\u27 critical thinking skills through the use of the PIMCA learning model assisted by HOTS-based LKPD on temperature and heat material. The research method used is quantitative with a one group pretest-posttest design. The research instrument is a critical thinking skills test in the form of an essay. Data analysis of critical thinking skills test results includes normality testing, hypothesis testing, and continues with the n-gain test to obtain in-depth information regarding students critical thinking skills. In general, the research results show that the average critical thinking skills of students is 0.76 in the high category. High levels of critical thinking skills can be seen in the categories of elementary clarification, basic support, inference, and strategy and tactics.     The problem in Industrial forest plantations confront from insect pests, with an emphasis on Indonesian Acacia crassicarpa and Eucalyptus species The reported insect pests Glycyphana nicobarica, Helopeltis theivora, Altica sp., and Spodoptera exigua are examined in this paper. Chemical procedures are not used as a last resort in management strategies, which prioritise environmental sustainability. Instead, they are integrated into cultural, mechanical, and biological controls, along with preventive measures. In order to stop and prevent insect pest infestations, this article promotes an integrated strategy that gives priority to environmental and economic concerns. This article supports sustainable practises in industrial forest plantations by highlighting balanced control strategies and proactive planning

    Indigenous Knowledge Integrated Biology Learning with Project-based Learning to Support Team Communication Skills

    Proficiency in team communication skills (TCS) is essential for academic achievement in higher education. Discussing socio-scientific issues that are also backed by indigenous knowledge, such as the environment and biodiversity, requires TCS. Nevertheless, there is a dearth of literature on the integration of indigenous knowledge or local wisdom into biology learning, particularly in the context of project-based learning (PBL) at the university level. The objective of this study is to delineate the process of indigenous knowledge integrated biology learning with project-based learning (IKIBL with PBL). Additionally, the aim is to ascertain the TCS score subsequent to treatment using IKIBL with PBL. The study, which employed classroom action research, involved 19 university students. The IKIBL with PBL is a series of activities that are aligned with the PBL methodology. These activities integrate research related to indigenous knowledge into learning. The results of this research were used to create an educational video. The results showed that there was an increase in the percentage of high categories in each learning cycle. Although there was no increase of high categories in Cycle 2, more than 75% of the students were in the high category. The most prominent aspect was closed-loop communication, followed by information sharing, and finally listening. TCS is needed as a requirement for 21st century learning and solving social science issues such as biodiversity and the environment
