This study aims to determine the effect of Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model on students\u27 English learning motivation at MTs As-Syafi\u27iyah Kalongan. The background of this study is based on the low motivation of students to learn in English subjects which is largely due to the learning methods that are still teacher-centered and minimal active student involvement. This research used a quantitative approach with a quasi experimental design. The research subjects consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class that used the PjBL model and the control class that used conventional methods. The data collection technique was carried out through a learning motivation questionnaire given at the time of the pre-survey and post-survey. The data obtained were analyzed using normality test, homogeneity, independent t-test, and N-Gain calculation. The results showed that there was a higher increase in learning motivation in the experimental group compared to the control group. The N-Gain score in the experimental class was 0.3544 (medium category), while the control class was only 0.1587 (low category). The t-test results showed a significant difference between the two groups. Thus, it can be concluded that the PjBL model has a significant effect on increasing students\u27 English learning motivation

Southeast Asia is a region characterized by diverse ethnicities and complex challenges. Despite ASEAN’s long-standing existence, ethnic conflicts continue in several member states. This paper examines these conflicts using the theory of complex interdependence, focusing on three cases: Aceh, the Rohingya, and Mindanao. These cases are seen as clear examples that illustrate how interconnections across economic, security, and environmental spheres shape conflicts. The goal is to analyze how political, social, and economic factors interact within this framework. By exploring these interwoven relationships, this paper seeks to uncover the root causes and consequences of ethnic conflicts that remain difficult to resolve in Southeast Asia

This study aims to analyze the prevalence and most common types of verbal bullying among female students in one high school in Jakarta. Using a quantitative descriptive method, a survey was conducted on 69 female students. A semantic differential scale was employed to measure verbal bullying, and the research instrument was proven to be valid (rest item correlation values of 0.481-0.711) and reliable (Cronbach\u27s Alpha value of 0.872). Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis with JASP Version 0.18.1. The findings indicate that 27.5% of female students experienced verbal bullying at a high category, while 46.4% were in the moderate category, and 26.1% in the low category. This suggests that verbal bullying is a significant issue in the researched school environment. Further analysis of verbal bullying types revealed that insults (24.6%), public humiliation (24.6%), and spreading gossip (23.2%) were the three most common forms of verbal bullying experienced by female students in the high category. These findings are consistent with literature indicating that verbal bullying among females often involves relational aggression, targeting self-esteem and social status. This study concludes that verbal bullying is a crucial issue in the high school examined, with forms of verbal aggression that attack self-esteem and reputation being the most dominant among female students. These results provide an important basis for schools to design more targeted and contextually relevant intervention and prevention programs for bullying

Girimulyo District, Kulon Progo, is famous for its karst landscape, making it one of the tourist destinations. This location is mainly composed of easily soluble rocks such as limestone, dolomite, gypsum, and rock salt, making it very susceptible to landslides, thus requiring a comprehensive slope stability analysis to reduce the risk of landslides that impact residential areas, access roads, and tourist locations. This study evaluated slope stability using the Limit Equilibrium Method (LEM) and the Finite Element Method (FEM). The slope at the research location consists of a layer of silt on the surface and limestone at a depth of 9 meters. Slope modeling was carried out in static and pseudo-static conditions by combining horizontal seismic coefficients derived from SNI 1726 (2019). The results showed that most LEM methods, except the Fellenius method, had higher SF than the FEM method. All methods showed that the slope in the static condition is stable with a safety factor (SF) ≥ 1.25, while in the pseudo-static condition, all methods are considered unstable (SF ≤ 1.07). Among the LEM approaches, the Fellenius (1936) method showed the lowest SF, which is in accordance with previous studies, where this method is the most conservative and suitable for circular slip surfaces only. Meanwhile, the Bishop (1955) and Morgenstern-Price (1965) methods are the most recommended in this study because they accommodate circular and non-circular slip surfaces. The SF results are 2% higher than the FEM results. These results show the importance of choosing the proper analysis method for landslide-prone karst terrain such as Girimulyo. Keywords: FEM; LEM; PLAXIS 2D; slope/W; SFKecamatan Girimulyo, Kulon Progo merupakan daerah yang terkenal dengan bentang alam karst sehingga menjadi salah satu tujuan wisata.

PENGARUH PERENCANAAN PAJAK, KEBIJAKAN HUTANG, DAN MANAJEMEN LABA TERHADAP NILAI PERUSAHAAN: (The Effect Of Tax Planning, Debt Policy, And Profit Management On Company Value)

One indicator of a firm\u27s managerial effectiveness is its company value. The company value, which is frequently linked to stock prices, is the investor\u27s gauge of the company\u27s degree of success. The problem in this study is reflected in the information in the books that does not correspond to the actual facts or does not have good faith. This circumstance may cause the company\u27s value to be determined differently than what is required under tax laws. According to the author, conducting research on a company\u27s value is crucial. The purpose of this study is to determine how debt policy, tax planning, and earnings management affect the value of food and beverage manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) between 2018 and 2021. Quantitative research is the name given to this kind of study. For this study, a sample of 16 firms was selected using purposive sampling. The analysis was conducted using a panel regression model. According to the study\u27s conclusions, a company\u27s value is not significantly impacted by profit management or tax preparation. Nonetheless, the value of the corporation is positively and significantly impacted by the debt policy. This finding suggests that while earnings management has no discernible effect in the context of this study, debt policy is a key element that can raise firm value. Generally speaking, the company will encounter a dispute between management and the owners (shareholders) in order to maximize the value of the business. The conflict occurs due to differences in interests between ownership and management of the company. This difference is reflected in the information in the books that does not correspond to the actual facts or does not have good faith. This situation has the potential to result in an assessment of the company\u27s value not in accordance with tax provisions.   Keywords: Tax, Debt, Profi

This study intends to examine the influence of profitability, company controlling ownership, and debt level on the aggressiveness of tax avoidance. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach with panel data regression analysis techniques to determine the direction and magnitude of the influence of independent variables on dependent variables. Hypothesis testing was carried out using eviews software version 13. The sample in this study consists of 23 companies engaged in the Consumer Non-Cyclicals sector  and listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2021 to 2024, with a total of 92 samples observed. The results of the analysis showed that the profitability and ownership of the company\u27s controllers did not have a significant effect on the aggressiveness of tax avoidance. In contrast, debt levels have been shown to have a significant influence on the aggressiveness of tax avoidance. These findings indicate that the level of debt is one of the important factors that encourage aggressiveness in tax avoidance. Meanwhile, the insignificance of the influence of profitability and ownership of the company\u27s controllers is suspected to be due to the limitations of the indicators used or the less dominant structural role. This research is supported by the agency theory that management has an incentive to convey positive signals through quality financial reports, especially when supported by effective corporate governance mechanisms. Students\u27 Learning Styles Based on Multiple Intelligences Theory in Solid Geometry Learning : A Phenomenological Study Of 8th Grade Junior High School

    Get PDF
This study aims to explore how eighth-grade students’ learning styles, based on Multiple Intelligences, manifest in geometry learning, and to address the research question: How can learning diversity in solving geometry tasks be revealed through the lens of the eight Multiple Intelligences? Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive phenomenological method, nine participants (N = 9) were purposively selected from a pool of 357 students through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and artifact analysis. Each participant represented one of six dominant intelligences according to the theories of Gardner and Armstrong (2018). The findings show that instruction tailored to students’ dominant intelligences enabled them to complete tasks in distinctive ways—for example, building physical models for kinesthetic learners or composing mathematical narratives for verbal learners. This adaptation facilitated active engagement, deeper conceptual understanding, and authentic learning expression. The study highlights the importance of intelligence-based differentiated instruction in geometry teaching to optimize diverse learning potentials
