    Setting Age Limits for Marriage: A Comparative Study of Marriage Laws in Muslim Countries (Indonesia and Maldives)

    The regulation of the age limit for marriage in a country is an important factor inining the survival of marriage. The aim of this study is to find a comparison of marriage age limits in Indonesia and the Maldives. In this study the author uses a normative and comparative approach. The age limit in getting married is very important. Because marriage requires psychological maturity. The Quran and the Hadith do not specifically mention the minimum age for marriage. The commonly known requirement is to be well-informed, well-conscious, able to distinguish between good and bad so that it can give consent to marriage, until the time of a person to marry (buluq an-nishah), with the word "rusyd" In Indonesia, the amendment to the Act No. 1 of 1974 on Marriage, became the Law No. 16 of 2019, which sets the minimum marriage age for women equal to the minimum age of marriage for men, which is 19 (nine) years. In Maldives, the Maldivian State, the minimum age for marriage is 18 years with exceptions. However, according to Islamic law, individuals who have reached puberty can marry before the age of 18 with parental permission and registered in the Register of Marriages

    Companies engaged in the service sector such as transportation companies or transportation facility managers are highly dependent on the services employees provide. A strong culture of environmental orientation is one of the success factors in the service industry. One of the service industries known to have high standards of friendliness is airport management. With these high standards, implementing environmentally friendly practices is very important. GHRM can help airports in sustainable management efforts by involving employees in sustainable practices and creating a culture that supports the environment. GHRM itself is considered to be able to improve the quality of employees in a company. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a deeper study of the implementation of GHRM in improving the quality of workers. This research was conducted by conducting a literature review. The review was conducted by analyzing various scientific articles that discuss Green Human Resource Management (GHRM). Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) has many positive impacts on the company. Green Human Resource Management itself can be concluded to have six variables, namely Green Recruitment and Selection, Green Training and Development, Green Compensation, Green Performance Management and Appraisal, Green Employee Empowerment and Participation, and Green Management and Organizational Culture. Through these six variables, the quality of employees will increase, such as increased performance, high loyalty, and good environmental attitudes. With GHRM, companies can reduce their operational costs because employees use company facilities very effectively

    The use of chemical fungicides continuously and not according to the rules can endanger the environment. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out alternative control using chitosan organic chemical fungicides. This study aims to test and obtain the concentration of chitosan that can inhibit the growth of F. oxysporum that causes FBRt disease in shallots in vitro. The treatments tested were: several concentrations of chitosan 0 g.l-1 , 5 g.l-1 , 10 g.l-1 , 15 g.l-1 , 20 g.l-1 , 25 g.l-1 , 30 g.l-1 . The data obtained were analyzed statistically with ANOVA using the SPSS program. further tested with Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT)  5% level. The results showed that the application of chitosan concentration of 5 g.l-1 , 10 g.l-1 , 15 g.l-1 , 20 g.l-1 , 25 g.l-1 , 30 g.l-1 was able to inhibit the growth of F. oxysporum Chitosan concentration of 20 g.l-1 has a more capable ability in inhibiting the growth of fungi F. oxysporum causing F. oxysporum disease. oxysporum causing FBR disease on shallots in vitro with an average diameter of 76.56 mm, 14.92% inhibition. and able to inhibit the length and width of macroconidia of F. oxysporum fungus

    Exploration and characterization of Gayam (Inocarpus fagifer): Conservation foundation for sustainable tropical ecosystems

    The conservation of the Inocarpus fagifer plant, commonly known as Gayam, is a significant focus in protecting important tropical ecosystems. This research aims to assess the preservation and development of Gayam in the Conservation Garden Area of Postgraduate Science Education at Bengkulu University. The study employed a descriptive quantitative and qualitative approach, utilizing primary and secondary data collection methods. The analysis involved examining the growth rate of Gayam seedlings, environmental conditions, and factors influencing preservation. The findings revealed that Gayam has the potential for widespread distribution in Indonesia, with various local names. However, Gayam does not dominate at the seedling stage, making seed preservation crucial. The characteristics of Gayam, including its crown, stem, leaves, flowers, fruits, and seeds, define this plant. Preservation success is influenced by factors such as moisture content, temperature, storage medium, and light intensity. The observations of light intensity in the conservation area indicated favorable conditions for photosynthesis. To maintain Gayam seedlings, watering, fertilizing, and pest control are necessary. The use of both organic and inorganic fertilizers, as well as organic pesticides, supports the growth of the seedlings. A comprehensive understanding of these aspects is essential for enhancing the preservation and potential expansion of Gayam in the Bengkulu University Master of Science Education Conservation Area. This research contributes significantly to biodiversity conservation efforts and the sustainability of tropical ecosystems in Indonesia, particularly through the preservation of Gayam plants, which play important ecological, economic, and social roles

    Mustard (Brassica rapa) and Eggplant (Solanum melongena) Cultivation in Agrivoltaic System in Coastal Area, Case Study of Baron Technopark, Yogyakarta

    Agrivoltaic is a system developed from plant cultivation and photovoltaic installations. Opportunities for creating this system in Indonesia are still quite large, including in the Gunungkidul Yogyakarta area. This study aimed to determine the growth response and yield of mustard greens and eggplant in the Agrivoltaic system in Baron, Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta, as a preliminary study of the use of photovoltaic for plant cultivation activities. The research was conducted in a photovoltaic installed in the Baron Techno Park area, BRIN, Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta. An unpaired T-test design was used in this research, which compared the growth and yield of mustard greens and eggplant under and outside the solar panels. The development of mustard and eggplant plants showed quite a high variation between rows below and outside the panel. Therefore, the rows were also used as a treatment in this research. The results showed that mustard greens and eggplants can be grown in agrivoltaic systems. The location of the plants (below and outside the panel) did not affect the growth and yield of mustard plants, while eggplant did. The position of the row inside and outside the panel also affects the growth and yield of mustard greens and eggplant. Mustard and eggplant plants planted outside the panels will be harvested 15 days faster than those under the panel

    Efforts to preserve Aceh's local rice germplasm include testing the character of local rice lines by providing urea fertilizer. The research aims to determine the effect of local Acehnese rice lines and urea (N) fertilizer on physiological characteristics and yield. The research was conducted in Bangka Jaya Village, Dewantara District, North Aceh Regency and the Agroecotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Malikussaleh University, April-August 2021. The research used a 2-Factor Randomized Block Design. The first factor of rice lines consists of six lines, namely Sigupai abdya, Sikuneng, Keumala, Manyam RO, Cbd08 and Siputeh. The second factor of urea fertilizer (N) consists of N1 = 200 kg/ha and N2 = 100 kg/ha. The parameters tested were flowering age, leaf area, net assimilation rate (LAB), relative growth rate (LTR), leaf chlorophyll content, shoot-root-ratio, number of panicles, weight of 1000 seeds and grain yield tons/ha. The results showed that the CBD08 rice type had the best influence on the parameters of faster flowering age, leaf area at age (40, 60 DAP and harvest age), net assimilation rate (LAB), shoot root ratio at age (60-40 DAP), number of panicles, weight 1000 seeds and grain yield tons/ha. Urea fertilizer at a dose of 200 kg/ha gave the best growth results in observing leaf area at age (40, 60 HST and harvest age), net assimilation rate (LAB), relative growth rate (LTR I) and LTR II, shoot root ratio, number of panicles.     The Effect of Applying Organic Skin and Coconut Dregs Compost on The Growth and Yield of Purple Eggplant Plants Fertilizer of Red Onion (Solanum melongena L.)

    Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.), a member of the Solanaceae family, is a food plant that offers various health benefits, such as its potential anti-cancer effects and its ability to impact cholesterol levels. This research aimed to investigate the impact of coconut dregs compost and liquid organic fertilizer derived from onion skin on the growth and productivity of purple eggplant plants, specifically regarding plant height, flowering duration, time to harvest, and fruit yield. The research was conducted at Pensiunea Indah Housing Road in the Bakaran Batu District, Labuhanbatu Regency, from March to May 2024. The study methodology used two components of a factorial randomized block design (RAK). Factor 1 encompasses four tiers of utilizing organic fertilizer derived from shallot skins, including a control group and applications of 100. 200. and 300 ml per individual plant. Factor 2 comprises four different levels of coconut dregs compost: a control group and 75, 150, and 225 grams per plant. The study's findings indicated that the application of coconut dregs compost and liquid organic fertilizer derived from onion skins had a notable impact on the height of the plants, the age at which they started flowering, the duration of the harvest, and the quantity of Fruit produced. The ideal method for achieving optimal results in cultivating purple eggplant plants involves the application of a liquid organic fertilizer derived from a combination of composted onion peels and coconut dregs at dosages of 300 ml and 225 g. This specific blend has been found to enhance plant height, prolong bloom and harvest times, and increase fruit yield

    Increasing the Growth and Production of Eggplant (Solanum melongena L) by Providing Wood Biochar

    The cultivation of eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) is a significant aspect of horticultural production in Indonesia. However, the productivity of eggplant remains minimal due to inadequate cultivation practices. An encouraging approach involves utilizing wood biochar as a supplement to improve soil fertility and promote plant development. This study aimed to assess the impact of varying levels of wood biochar application on the development and productivity of eggplant. The study utilized a Randomized Block Design (RBD) to investigate the effects of four different treatments: no biochar, 50 g of biochar per polybag, 100 g of biochar per polybag, and 150 g of biochar per polybag. The findings indicated that the incorporation of wood biochar had a notable impact on the growth and yield of the plants, as evidenced by the increase in plant height, leaf width, fruit weight per fruit, number of fruits per plant, and fruit weight per plant. Among the different treatments, B3 exhibited the most favorable outcomes. The analysis of variance (ANOVA) revealed that there were statistically significant differences between the various treatments (p < 0.05). In summary, using wood biochar has proven to successfully improve eggplant yield in Indonesian soil

    Strategy to increase the growth of sweet banana varieties of chili (Capsicum sp) using Gamma Ray Radiation

    Chili (Capsicum sp) is a herbaceous plant from the eggplant family and is thought to originate from Mexico, Central America, and the Andes region in South America. This research was carried out from November 2023 to May 2024. Sweet Banana Variety Chili Seeds were sent to the Isotope Application Center and Radiation (PAIR), National Nuclear Energy Agency (BATAN) Jl. Lebak Bulus Raya No.49 Cilandak-South Jakarta. Irradiated seeds were planted in the Green House of Labuhanbatu University, Labuhanbatu Regency, North Sumatra. The design used was a non-factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 replications. The experiment used a single factor, namely gamma rays, on sweet banana variety chili seeds with 4 treatment levels: Control (0 Gy), 100 Gy, 200 Gy, 300 Gy. In this study, 20 plant units were observed. Based on the results of observations of the growth of sweet banana variety chili seedlings, seedling growth was different in each treatment, and most of the seedlings were only able to survive at an irradiation level of 100 Gy. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the gamma-ray radiation factor was significantly different from the number of leaves (strands) in the 2nd week after planting, but was not significantly different 4 weeks after planting. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the gamma-ray radiation factor was significantly different 2 weeks after planting, a further DMRT test was carried out at a level of 5%

    Optimizing The Growth of Arabica Coffee (Coffea arabica L.) Typica Variety Seedlings through Planting Media Composition and Liquid Organic Fertilizer of Conch Eggs in Toraja

    This research investigates the impact of different planting medium compositions and the application of liquid organic fertilizer derived from golden apple snail eggs on Arabica coffee seedlings (Coffea arabica L.) growth of the Typica variety. Conducted over 12 weeks at the experimental garden of Toraja University, the study employed a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) featuring two primary factors: the composition of the planting medium (M1: topsoil, sand, pig manure in a ratio of 2:1:1; M2: topsoil, sand, pig manure in a ratio of 1:2:1; M3: topsoil, sand, pig manure in a ratio of 1:1:2) and the dosage of POC from golden apple snail eggs (K1: 100 ml/plant, K2: 200 ml/plant, K3: 300 ml/plant). The findings indicated that the planting medium's composition and POC dosage significantly influenced the coffee seedlings' height, leaf count, and stem diameter. The planting medium with a 1:1:2 ratio of topsoil, sand, and pig manure (M3) yielded the most favorable outcomes, achieving an average plant height of 18.06 cm, 4.54 leaves, and a stem diameter of 1.92 mm. Additionally, a 200 ml/plant dosage of POC from golden snail eggs (K2) resulted in a maximum plant height of 18.46 cm and an average leaf count of 4.57. and a stem diameter of 1.75 mm. The interaction between M3 and K2 (M3K2) produced the most significant results across all growth parameters, with a plant height of 24.67 cm, 5.33 leaves, and a stem diameter of 2.53 mm. This study underscores the importance of selecting suitable planting media and utilizing POC from golden snail eggs to enhance the growth of Arabica coffee seedlings, offering valuable insights for improving coffee cultivation practices through optimized media and organic fertilizer application
