    Digitization of Employee Attendance through a Web Based Electronic Attendance System at PT Dupoin Palembang Branch

    PT DUPOIN Palembang Branch is one of the companies experiencing efficiency problems in its employee attendance management system. Currently, attendance recording is still carried out manually using paper-based documents stored in filing cabinets. Along with the increasing number of employees and operational activities, this conventional system has caused various issues, such as slow data recapitulation, frequent recording errors, and difficulties in conducting periodic attendance analysis. Moreover, the absence of an integrated attendance history makes it challenging for management to objectively evaluate employee discipline and performance. This study aims to address these issues by implementing a web-based electronic attendance system as a digitalization effort in human resource management. The proposed system enables real-time attendance monitoring, online access to attendance reports, and more transparent and accountable data management. Features such as user authentication, access control, automated reporting, and cloud-based data storage provide significant advantages over manual systems. In addition, the system supports flexible work models, including remote and hybrid working arrangements, while maintaining data accuracy and minimizing fraud through location- and time-based validation. The implementation of this system is expected to improve administrative efficiency, enhance decision-making, and support a more adaptive and productive work environment

    The use of manual locks such as keys, this type of locking is easy to duplicate, prone to loss if taken on a trip and if you forget to close the door, it will provide an opportunity for other people to enter the house or to a private room, for that a door locking device is needed that can provide ease of use from conventional locking, namely using automatic locking using a knock pattern. This research aims to design a door security system. Based on the results of the design and testing of the Arduino-based automatic door locking system using passwords that have been carried out by researchers, it can be concluded that the automatic door locking system using this password can be made and operated using the ATMega328 microcontroller as a control center and circuit and programmed using Arduino IDE software. The Arduino Uno microcontroller can control the automatic door locking working system according to the instruction sequence. The research method used in this research is the field research method. The field research method aims to directly observe the object being studied to obtain the necessary information.     Optimizing Eco-enzyme Dosage on Kale (Brassica oleracea) Growth and Production

    Kale, a member of the cabbage family, is currently witnessing an increase in popularity; however, this heightened interest is not reflected in production levels, primarily due to the excessive application of inorganic fertilizers. To mitigate this challenge, implementing organic fertilizers, such as eco-enzymes, may enhance kale yield. A research study was carried out at the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture at Muhammadiyah University of Jakarta from June to October 2022. The study employed a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with six varying doses of eco enzymes, ranging from a control group to 50 mL per plant. Each treatment was replicated four times, with three plants allocated to each experimental unit. The parameters assessed included the number of leaves, leaf length, leaf width, gross weight, consumption weight, and root length. Data analysis, utilizing variance (F test) and the DMRT test at a 5% significance level, indicated that varying doses of eco enzymes had a significant impact on plant height, leaf length, gross weight, and consumption weight while showing no significant effect on the number of leaves, leaf width, and root length of the kale plants

    Physiological Characteristics of Sweet Corn Plants (Zea mays L. Var. saccharata.) On Nitrogen Fertilizer Application And Pruning Techniques

    Corn is a vital source of carbohydrates and protein for the Indonesian population. This research aims to investigate the physiological characteristics of sweet corn plants concerning nitrogen fertilizer application and pruning techniques. The study was conducted in Tambon Tunong Village, located in the Dewantara District of North Aceh Regency, as well as in the laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture at Malikussaleh University, spanning from September to December 2024. A randomized block design (RAK) experimental method was employed for this investigation. The study examined two primary factors: applying nitrogen sources to the corn plants and the pruning techniques. The nitrogen sources tested included ZA Fertilizer (247.6 g/plot), HX Nitro Fertilizer (200 g/plot), and Urea Nitrea Fertilizer (113.04 g/plot). The pruning techniques evaluated were no pruning, pruning of three lower leaves at 45 days after planting (HST), and pruning of three lower leaves at 55 HST. Consequently, a total of nine treatment combinations were established, with each treatment replicated three times, resulting in 27 experimental units. Each unit comprised 15 plants, culminating in a total of 405 plants. The data collected from the experiments were subjected to statistical analysis using the F test via SAS V9 12 software. If the analysis of variance indicated significant differences at the 5% level, a subsequent Duncan test was performed. The findings revealed that the nitrogen content parameter exhibited a significant effect. In contrast, the timing of male and female flowering, leaf color, milk content, and sugar content (brix), along with the interaction between the two factors, did not demonstrate significant effects

    Behavior of Heterotrigona itama in Hydroponic Melon (Cucumis melo L.) Planting in Greenhouse with Insecticide Spraying

    Sustaining and improving melon production is essential to fulfill the increasing demand for melon fruit in Indonesia. In order to maintain this level of production, it is necessary to utilize insecticides to manage the pests that pose a threat to melon crops. This research aims to assess the impact of insecticide application on the pollination activity of Heterotrigona itama, a vital pollinating insect for melon plants. This research aimed to investigate the effect of Heterotrigona itama activity on melon plants in a greenhouse treated with insecticides. The study was carried out utilizing a survey-based methodology. Data was collected on several aspects of Heterotrigona items' behavior before and after applying insecticides. The research findings demonstrated that using insecticides on melon crops within a controlled environment decreased the frequency of visits from Heterotrigona itama to the melon flowers. Additionally, it was observed that the application of insecticides resulted in the mortality of Heterotrigona itama within the initial six days following the insecticide spraying. On the second day, the maximum number of individuals present was 14. The analysis of Heterotrigona itama honey revealed that the detected levels of pesticide residues were lower than the benchmark dose response (BMR) threshold

    Effects of Oil Palm Trunk Biochar on Nutrient Uptake and Growth Performance of Oil Palm Seedlings in Pre-Nursery

    Due to soil is an important factor as a growing media to obtain good oil palm in pre-nursery. Meanwhile, soil degradation has occured in many places throuhgout the oil palm plantations such as ultisols. Therefor, it is crucial improving soil quality by application biochar. One identified option is biochar derived from oil palm trunk (OPT) application. This study objectives were to determine the growth, macronutrient status, and nutrient uptake of oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq) to the addition of biochars derived from the top, middle, and bottom section OPT in ultisols pre-nursery planting media. The experiment was arranged in a non-factorial randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications in a polyethylene bag. Biochars were added to ultisols at 1, 2, 3, and 4 % (w/w) in a green house experiment for 12 weeks pre-nursery. The application of biochars derived OPT increased plant height, shoot and root dry weight, content of N, P, K uptake, and N, P, K-total in soil acchieved by the dose of 2%. The addition of biochar derived top section OPT provided better growth and N, P, K uptake than biochar derived bottom and middle section OPT. The findings revealed the application of biochars OPT at 2% (w/w) was more efficient for soil amendment to ultisols soil

    Growth Response and Production of Mung Bean (Vigna radiata L.) to The Application of Different Types of Manure on Marginal Land (Case Study in Muna Regency)

    Mung bean (Vigna radiata L.) is one of the most important legume crops besides soybean and peanut and is a widely consumed food ingredient among the Indonesian population. This research aims to determine the effect of different types of manure on the growth and yield of mung bean plants (Vigna radiata L.) The research was conducted at BPP Napabalano, Pentiro Village, Napabalano District, Muna Regency, for a duration of four months. The study was designed using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with a single-factor experiment consisting of four treatment levels: no manure application, application of chicken manure at a dose of 20 t ha⁻¹, application of cow manure at a dose of 20 t ha⁻¹, and application of goat manure at a dose of 20 t ha⁻¹. The results showed that the application of different types of manure had a significant effect on the growth and production of mung bean plants. The application of cow manure resulted in the best growth and production, with an average productivity of 1.04 tons ha⁻¹

    Cauliflower (Brassica oleracea var. botrytis L) Growth and Yield Response by providing Kasgot Fertilizer and NPK on Ultisol Soil

    The development of cauliflower cultivation (Brassica oleracea var. botrytis L.) on marginal land necessitates implementing appropriate cultivation techniques to enhance plant growth and production. In this context, applying organic fertilizers, such as Kasgot and NPK fertilizers, is anticipated to improve the productivity of cauliflower in Riau Province. This study aims to evaluate the effects of Kasgot and NPK fertilizers on the growth and production of cauliflower cultivated on red-yellow podzolic soil. The research was conducted at the UIR Experimental Garden in Pekanbaru from August to December 2024. A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) Factorial was employed for this study. The first factor examined was the dosage of Kasgot fertilizer (K), which included four treatment levels: no Kasgot fertilizer, and Kasgot fertilizer at 100 g, 200 g, and 300 g per polybag. The second factor examined was the NPK fertilizer (N) dose, which included five treatment levels: no NPK, and NPK fertilizer at 3.75 g, 7.5 g, 11.25 g, and 15 g per polybag. Each experimental unit was replicated three times. The results indicated that the data collected, including plant height, age of flower formation, relative growth rate, flower weight per plant, flower diameter, and root volume, were significantly influenced by the interaction between phosphorus fertilizer and NPK fertilizer. The combination of 300 g of Kasgot fertilizer per polybag and 7.25 g of NPK per polybag proved to be the most effective in enhancing the relative growth rate, flower weight per plant, and flower diameter in cauliflower

    Applying Mycorrhiza and Trichoderma harzianum to Increase Chilli Plant Production (Capsicum annum L)

    Red chili production in Indonesia has fluctuated over the past five years, with a decrease to 1.04 million tons in 2015 and 2016, followed by an increase to 1.20 million tons in 2017. This study aimed to determine the effect of administering mycorrhizal fungi on the growth of chili plants. The materials used in this study included 10% KOH, 50% alcohol, dye (Quink Parker), chili seeds of various varieties (Kharisma), mycorrhizal fertilizers (Glomus sp. and Gigaspora), and Trichoderma harzianum pellets. The tools utilized in this research comprised 15 kg polybags, shovels, measuring tapes, watering cans, analytical scales, soil sieves, hoes, a Nikon Binocular Microscope (model SE 102), petri dishes, sieves, tweezers, glass slides, cover glasses, an oven, a camera, and plastic containers for holding the polybags. The F-test results from the variance analysis indicate that mycorrhizal fungi significantly influence the fruit weight of chili plants at 110 days after planting (DAP) and root infection at 45 DAP. However, there was no significant effect on wet fruit weight, wet root weight, or the number of fruits produced. Additionally, the F-test results demonstrate that Trichoderma has a highly significant effect on the observed variables. Furthermore, the F-test results indicate a significant impact on fruit weight at 110 hours after transplanting (HST) and wet weight at 110 HST

    Utilizing Cigarette Filter Waste Extract as a Natural Pesticide to Eradicate Whitefly Pests in Chili Plants (Capsicum frutescens L.)

    Chili pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) is a plant commonly cultivated in Indonesia. This research employed an empirical, quantitative experimental approach using a Randomized Block Design (RBD). The study included three treatment groups with varying concentrations of cigarette butt biopesticides: a control group, and treatment groups at 10 ml/L, 20 ml/L, and 30 ml/L. The results indicated that biopesticides derived from cigarette butt waste extracts significantly affected the control of whitefly pests on chili peppers. The ANOVA test yielded an F value of 150.044 with a significance level of 0.000, demonstrating a highly significant difference among the treatments. The control group exhibited the highest average mortality rate of 62.22% for pests, followed by the 10 ml/L treatment at 50.67%, the 20 ml/L treatment at 42.67%, and the 30 ml/L treatment, which was the least effective, with an average mortality rate of 32.00%. These findings suggest that higher concentrations of the extract are more effective in reducing the number of living pests, positioning this biopesticide as an environmentally friendly alternative for pest control
