Mentalites of Baseball
Although baseball is called an American sport, it is originally from England, the cradle of the modern sports. Some people talk about baseball with frontier spirit which Americans, such as Anglo-Saxon, have. Concretely, there are some theories which point out the connection between baseball and pioneering. One focuses on the mental manner of the pioneer's soul which lurks in the rule of the baseball. In addition to these theories, in this paper I try to make reference to the fact that pioneering mentalities are clearly contained in the baseball by applying the keyword "8, a symbol of power" in Anglo-Saxon mental world which I insist on.4KJ00004249613論
Analysis of Teaching Speech in Music Activities of Early Childhood Education : The Case of Marching Band
The activity of marching band has a poor reputation as a music activity in early childhood education. However, the marching band is arranged, and taken up as a unique child care activity as well as English lessons and the swimming instruction in some nursery schools and kindergartens. Why is the activity of the marching band supported, but at the same time, why is it thought to be problematic? I analyze teachers' verbal instruction when marching band is instructed, and search for the meaning and the problem of the marching band instruction in the child care practice. In the research, first of all, I analyzed the teachers' verbal instruction in the kind and the frequency. And I clarified how frequent teachers' verbal instruction is provided for the activity.21KJ00004249630研究ノー

Development of Nursing Technique Checklist and its Effects and Problems : Self-evaluation and Evaluation by Others
Nursing technique education by which students can learn nursing techniques at school to the level of clinical nursing practice is an urgent issue. Therefore, we developed a checklist for both self-evaluation and evaluation by others so that students can periodically exercise assistance techniques. As a result, students who answered that they used the checklist, or the checklist was useful stated that they can perform daily life assistance technique items except "assistance in toileting." Thus, exercise using the checklist contributed to learning of the techniques. Evaluation by others showed that the checklist can be an objective parameter, and reflection of their own techniques enables them to notice their own inadequate points. Nurses should perform nursing practice after learning the techniques to certain levels. In the future, evaluation is necessary to use the checklist not only before basic nursing practice but also before nursing practice in each area.15KJ00004417111論
Learning through Simulating Care for Infants and Toddlers
In this article, we explored what students learned through participation in simulating care for infants and toddlers. The analysis of students' essays about the simulations showed that the students became more motivated to understand the children after noticing their insufficient understanding in the first simulation. In the second simulation, they became concerned with new problems about the quality of care for infants and toddlers as provided by the caregiver. In order to get students the practical ability moreover, we consider that they would need to reflect concretely after the simulations.18KJ00004417114研究ノー
