Relationship between preference for exercise and preference for physical education
Get PDFThis study empirically examined the relationship between preference for physical education and preference for exercise (play) in elementary school children. 455 children (237 boys and 218 girls) from grades 1 to 6 were asked about their preferences for "mat exercise," "bars," "jumping box," "short-distance running," "swimming," "ball exercise," "swimming play," "hide-and-seek," "oni-play," "keidoro," "dodgeball," "dance," and for physical education in general. The results showed that the preference for most physical exercise and physical education decreased in the upper grades. And, in grades 1-4, the relationship between the preference for physical education and the preference for competitive physical exercise (e.g., "jumping box" and "short-distance running") was strong. On the other hand, in grades 5 and 6, the preference for competitive and playful exercise was related to the preference for physical education, indicating a tendency for physical education and exercise to form a mixed preference.departmental bulletin pape

This paper focuses on two popular modern ballads, William Plomerʼs “The Murder on the Downs” and John Betjemanʼs “A Subalternʼs Love-song”. It discusses Plomerʼs description of contemporary absurdity, and Betjemanʼs creation of irony in the sketch of the typical middle-class life. Aiming for a fulfilling student life and career development for female university students : Consideration from the results of the Reiwa 3rd year student life questionnaire survey
Get PDFIn the "Educational Management Guidelines" （Central Council for Education Subcommittee） published in January 2020, to realize a learner-oriented education, evidence data is collected and analyzed, and based on objective data. It is stated that the promotion of educational improvement is necessary and important. In response, the Career Support Office of the University conducted a "Student Life Questionnaire" in December 2021 targeting 1,584 university and junior college students, and received responses from 1,287 students. As a result of aggregating and analyzing these results, we were able to grasp and confirm students’ consciousness （requests/worries）, the actual situation of student life, and so on, and obtained suggestions for future support/improvement. For the next fiscal year, we will consider measures to improve education that provide even better support to student life.departmental bulletin pape

Get PDFThis study was conducted to improve the curriculum manageability and implementation skills of students who want to become Yogo teachers, and to improve the resilience skills of children in after-school children’s clubs through online-based initiatives. The aim of the study was to identify the learning and effects of the initiative on the students and the children.
With regard to the curriculum manageability and implementation skills of the students who are aiming to become Yogo teachers, most of the students felt that this experience would be beneficial for them in their upcoming practical training and when they become teachers. Students were able to experience the importance of implementing lessons and activities that are adapted to the actual situation of the children. It was also beneficial to be able to experience instruction online, which is difficult to experience without face-to-face training. Also like Abe (2022), it was clear that, to some extent, the same degree of learning could be achieved using online as when conducted face-to-face (2). In addition, the students’ preparation of the “Power Points” and videos for the on-line instruction gave them knowledge about the new teaching materials, which was considered to be more than they would have had in a face-to-face training.
Secondly, with regard to the effects of the lessons on the children who attended them, most of the feedback was positive with regard to their understanding of the contents implemented, so it is possible to assume that the content was generally not too overwhelming. Some comments were also written about the levels of understanding and for future use, such as “I now understand how irritable and frustrated I feel” and “I now know when to breathe deeply”. That would contribute to the improvement of children’s resilience capacities. In the near future, we will work with childcare workers at after-school children’s clubs to carry out ongoing guidance and to repeat online-based lessons and reviews on a more regular basis. Throughout this process, we will study the children’s use of the knowledge, as well as other information gained in lessons, to clarify more about their resilience skills.departmental bulletin pape
Cancer education in a junior high school

As a result, an expectation to cancer education and a worrying opinion were informed about in the educational implementation preparations school which isn't torn off by a document investigation. We found out that how to tell and the consideration when a cancer patient is here close, teacher's training, utilization of the outside lecturer, a medical basis and information placed and for which are proper to enough preparations and health education to education are needed.

Analysis of the Impacts of Problem-Based-Learning Approach on the "Fundamental Competencies for Working Persons" Based on Students' Survey
Get PDFThere is a need to improve students’“Fundamental Competencies for Working Persons,” suggested by the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry in Japan in higher education. Over the past few years, authors have been using the Problem-Based-Learning approach in Career Design II, which is a mandatory course for sophomores of Kyushu Women’s University. Based on the results from two surveys, which were conducted prior to and after the Problem-Based-Learning, we found that mean scores for 16 items out of all 36 items were statistically significantly higher at the second survey, compared to the first survey. Specifically, there were
significant mean differences in two surveys on the abilities to identify problems, have a sense of independence, make plans, and communicate effectively. These abilities are related to our Problem-Based-Learning activities, and we believe that they were effective to improve students’“Fundamental Competencies for Working Persons.” We are going to apply the survey results to improve course activities in the future.departmental bulletin pape
Research on ambivalent perceptions of college students' experiences of care
Get PDFThe purpose of this study is to clarify the psychological impact caused by college students' experience of family care roles and the ambivalence of their cognitive evaluation of these roles, based on the characteristics of the care roles they experience. As a result of the questionnaire survey conducted on university students, it was found that when the duration of the care role was temporary or less than one year, the students were more likely to feel "guilty" in situations where they were not taking care of the family member in need of care,
due to insufficient understanding of the family member's condition. In addition, in terms of cognitive evaluation of care roles, when the condition of the family member in need of care is chronically difficult, it is thought that the family member is strongly aware of the burden of the care role, such as a "sense of constraint" and "sense of limitation," and the characteristics of the care role experienced and the psychological impact and cognitive evaluation resulting from it are characterized by positive and negative aspects, respectively. As a result, the consciousness to a natural accident prevention of teachers and students' guardian was high. However, teachers were alarmed in the state by which it can't be said that the students' natural accident prevention consciousness was high. The recognition that this is also dangerous about a river where an image as a safe area is strong and located around here around this junior high school can think a little thing may be reflected by low of the students' protection against disasters consciousness. Students and others have to increase consciousness by whole school as well as teachers and incorporate work study and training
aggressively during a session so that one can correspond to the time of a natural disaster immediately.
Many teachers pointed out that the case that the natural accident prevention education is strengthened, nurture and cooperation with an educational institution and an area were important. It’s important to work on emergency response to road safety and an anaphylactic shock of a food allergy, not to do natural accident prevention education independently from the point of view which protects the life of students systematically overall.departmental bulletin pape
