    The low engagement of tenth-grade students at SMAN 2 Padang Panjang in conventional teaching methods often results in passive participation during the learning process. Consequently, the learning outcomes of some students tend to be below the Minimum Mastery Criteria. This research was conducted to determine the effect of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model in enhancing the activeness and learning outcomes of tenth-grade students at SMAN 2 Padang Panjang. The method used was a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design and a posttest-only control group design. This study was conducted with a population of tenth-grade students consisting of 9 classes. The sample were class XE.2 (experimental group) and class XE.4 (control group), selected through random sampling. The research instruments consisted of an observation sheet for learning activeness and a posttest for learning outcomes. The results indicated that the Jigsaw cooperative learning model positively contributed to student activeness. Student engagement in the experimental group improved across all indicators, with the average percentage of activity 87%, compared to control class which only 56%. The perspective of learning outcomes shows the average posttest score of the experimental group was 86.13, with a completion rate of 90%. This result significantly differed from the control group, the average score of 77.12 with a completion rate of 59.38%. Statistical analysis using the Mann-Whitney U test shows a p-value is 0.0139 (p<0.05), indicating a significant difference between the two groups. In conclusion, the Jigsaw cooperative learning model has a significant effect on enhancing student activeness and learning outcomes

    A Qualitative Study of Beginner Students’ Experiences and Perceptions in Arabic Language Learning at MTs Babul Mujahidin Bayan, Lombok Utara

    Arabic language learning plays a vital role for Muslims, serving not only as a means of communication but also as an integral component of religious practice. Despite this, many beginner-level students face difficulties in understanding Arabic lessons, particularly in madrasahs where Arabic has not yet become a primary focus. This study aims to explore beginner students’ perceptions of Arabic language learning at MTs Babul Mujahidin Bayan, Lombok Utara, to provide insights for designing more effective instructional strategies. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, involving six eighth-grade students as participants. Data were collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that while students demonstrate a relatively high interest in learning Arabic, they struggle with reading Arabic texts and comprehending classroom materials due to limited foundational skills and monotonous teaching methods. Nonetheless, students expressed positive attitudes and a desire for more engaging and interactive learning processes, such as gamified activities and visual media. The study contributes to Arabic language education by highlighting the importance of incorporating student-centered, interactive strategies at the beginner level, offering evidence-based recommendations for improving instructional design in madrasah settings

    Islamic Financial Literacy and Household Financial Behavior in the Digital Era: A Conceptual Synthesis of Contemporary Literature

    This study aims to synthesize contemporary literature on Islamic financial literacy and its relationship with household financial behavior in the digital era. Employing a qualitative library research design, this study systematically reviews peer-reviewed journal articles, academic books, and institutional reports published over the last decade. Data were collected through structured searches of major academic databases and analyzed using qualitative content analysis, including thematic coding, categorization, and comparative synthesis. The findings indicate that Islamic financial literacy is a multidimensional construct encompassing cognitive understanding of Sharia-based financial principles, financial management skills, and ethical orientations. Higher literacy levels are associated with more structured household financial practices, such as disciplined budgeting, saving orientation, and cautious engagement with digital Islamic financial services. Furthermore, digital financial environments significantly influence household financial decision-making and access to information. This study proposes an integrative conceptual framework linking Islamic financial literacy dimensions with household financial behavior through cognitive, ethical, and behavioral mechanisms. The findings contribute to clarifying the role of Islamic financial literacy in digital financial contexts and provide theoretical insights for future empirical research. Practically, this study offers policy-relevant implications for designing effective financial literacy initiatives aimed at enhancing financial resilience and sustainable financial practices among Muslim households in the digital er

    The Influence of Sexuality Education on Five-Year-Old Children’s Understanding of Safe and Unsafe Touch

    Early childhood is a critical period for establishing foundational awareness of body boundaries and personal safety. Developmentally appropriate sexuality education plays an essential role in supporting children’s understanding of safe and unsafe touch as part of early prevention efforts against abuse. This study aims to analyze the influence of sexuality education on five-year-old children’s understanding of safe and unsafe touch concepts. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed to explore children’s experiences, responses, and interpretations during learning activities. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and parents, and documentation of classroom activities and children’s work. The findings indicate that sexuality education enhances children’s awareness of body ownership, enables them to distinguish between safe and unsafe touch, and promotes basic self-protection behaviors such as refusing inappropriate contact and reporting to trusted adults. The study concludes that developmentally appropriate sexuality education contributes significantly to strengthening early self-protection capacities. It is recommended that educators and parents collaboratively implement structured, age-appropriate sexuality education programs to reinforce children’s safety awareness in everyday contexts.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan seksual terhadap pemahaman anak usia 5 tahun mengenai sentuhan aman dan tidak aman di TK Pembina Semerap, Kecamatan Danau Kerinci Barat. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu (quasi-experimental). Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 30 anak usia 5 tahun yang dibagi menjadi kelompok perlakuan dan kontrol. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa kuesioner dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan seksual secara signifikan meningkatkan pemahaman anak tentang sentuhan aman dan tidak aman, yang ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan skor pemahaman pada kelompok perlakuan dibandingkan kelompok kontrol.     Integration of Indonesian Character Values in Educational Management at the Indonesian School of Makkah, Saudi Arabia

    The phenomenon of students’ character degradation amid the challenges of globalization, technological advancement, and complex social environments necessitates the strengthening of systematically and integratively managed character education. This study aims to analyze the implementation of character education management at Sekolah Indonesia Makkah through a management-function approach integrated with learning components. The research employed a qualitative method with a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis involving the principal, teachers, homeroom teachers, guidance and counseling services, and relevant stakeholders. The findings indicate that planning is conducted by integrating core ethical values into the school’s vision, mission, curriculum, regulations, as well as co-curricular and extracurricular programs. Organizing and implementation are supported by a clear division of roles, the cultivation of school culture, literacy programs, supervision, and a measurable reward and punishment system. Monitoring is carried out through classroom supervision, integrated oversight, and evaluation of teacher performance and student development. Supporting factors include institutional commitment and a conducive environment, while challenges remain in optimizing evaluation instruments and ensuring consistent implementation. This study proposes an integrated and sustainable input–process–output conceptual model of character education management.Fenomena degradasi karakter peserta didik di tengah tantangan globalisasi, perkembangan teknologi, dan kompleksitas lingkungan sosial menuntut penguatan pendidikan karakter yang dikelola secara sistematis dan terintegrasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi manajemen pendidikan karakter di Sekolah Indonesia Makkah melalui pendekatan fungsi manajemen dan integrasi komponen pembelajaran. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi terhadap kepala sekolah, guru, wali kelas, layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling, serta pemangku kepentingan terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan dilakukan dengan mengintegrasikan nilai inti (core ethical values) ke dalam visi, misi, kurikulum, peraturan sekolah, serta program kokurikuler dan ekstrakurikuler. Pengorganisasian dan pelaksanaan didukung pembagian tugas yang jelas, pembiasaan budaya sekolah, program literasi, supervisi, serta sistem reward and punishment. Pengawasan dilakukan melalui supervisi kelas, pemantauan terpadu, dan evaluasi kinerja guru serta perkembangan siswa. Faktor pendukung meliputi komitmen kelembagaan dan lingkungan kondusif, sedangkan kendala terdapat pada optimalisasi evaluasi dan konsistensi implementasi.     English Needs Analysis for Nursing Students: A Workplace Survey for Designing English for Nursing Purposes Materials

    Need analysis is an important stage before designing the material English for Specific Purposes. The study aims to (1) identify the role of English in a healthcare setting (2) identify the need of English for nursing students in their workplace (3) design the appropriate syllabus for nursing students at Al-Irsyad University of Cilacap. The respondents were nurses studying for bachelor’s at UNAIC and working in some health settings in Cilacap. A learner-centered learning approach was applied in this study. The result of the study showed they hardly ever practiced English in their workplace with a mean of reading (1,8), listening (1,6), writing (1,5), and speaking (1,3). The need of English for nursing in their workplace was neither rare in using. They had difficulties in learning four English skills with a mean for speaking (2,4), listening (2,3), reading (2,2), and writing (2,1). Nevertheless, they thought that English was important for them to obtain information, get a scholarship, and fulfill their personal needs. Some material topics were mentioned to learn during the nursing study such as checking identity bracelets and some therapeutic communication topics. Based on the result mentioned, the syllabus is then designed with the four skills in English and put them all in their learning. &nbsp

    Development of Arabic Assessment for Tarkib and Qira’ah Based on Higher Order Thinking Skill

    In Senior High School, Arabic language assessments mostly focus on memorizing grammar rules (tarkib) and recalling information in reading comprehension (Qira’ah). This assessment does not improve students’ abilities to analyze complex texts, evaluate arguments, or apply grammatical knowledge in new contexts. In Eleventh Grade, the Tasawwuq chapter of the Arabic textbook includes only 21% Higher-Order Thinking Skills questions, while 79% focus on Lower-Order Thinking Skills, such as remembering and understanding. This study aims to develop an Arabic assessment focused on tarkib and qiraah skills. The ADDIE model was used in five steps: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This study used a qualitative approach to collect data, including documantation and questionnaires. Data analysis used descriptive statistics. In the analysis stage, LOTS questions were identified more than HOTS questions. For the student needs analysis, a questionnaire was distributed to 60 respondents, resulting in an average score of 4.19. The design stage involved developing an outline and question matrix, creating HOTS-based questions, formulating a scoring system, and establishing a rubric. During the development stage, questions were constructed in accordance with HOTS criteria, incorporating eight specific HOTS indicators. Implementation was conducted at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 4 Agam in the eleventh grade. Evaluation results demonstrated that the Arabic assessment for Tarkib and Qira’ah, based on Higher Order Thinking Skills, effectively enhanced the critical thinking skills of eleventh-grade students at the state madrasah aliyah, as indicated by a significance value (2-tailed) of less than 0.05

    Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh tata kelola perusahaan (corporate governance) terhadap risiko gagal bayar sukuk yang diukur melalui Distance to Default, dengan peran mediasi tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan (Corporate Social Responsibility/CSR). Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif eksplanatori, penelitian ini menganalisis 26 perusahaan penerbit sukuk di Indonesia periode 2018-2023 melalui analisis regresi dan analisis jalur. Variabel tata kelola perusahaan meliputi ukuran dewan, independensi dewan, keragaman gender, dualitas CEO, karakteristik komite audit, dan auditor eksternal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa independensi dewan dan frekuensi pertemuan komite audit berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap Distance to Default. Keragaman gender berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap CSR, sementara CSR berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap Distance to Default. Temuan utama mengkonfirmasi bahwa CSR berperan sebagai mediator penuh dalam hubungan antara keragaman gender dan risiko default sukuk. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis dalam pengembangan model prediktif risiko sukuk yang mengintegrasikan aspek tata kelola dan keberlanjutan sosial, serta implikasi praktis bagi pengelolaan risiko instrumen keuangan syariah di Indonesi

    Implementation of Project-Based Learning on Alternative Energy Materials to Enhance Class X Students' Cognitive Learning Outcomes at SMA Negeri 1 Perhentian Raja

    The purpose of this research is to characterize and ascertain how project-based learning improves cognitive learning outcomes for students. The quasi-experimental research design are employed. The X-grade children of SMA Negeri 1 Perhentian Raja made up the study's population, while the X2 and X5 classes, which included 33 and 32 students respectively, served as the study's samples. Primary and secondary data are the two types of data collection methodologies. Descriptive and inferential analysis are two methods of data analysis. The group that used project-based learning had an average score of 60.7, falling into the "fairly good" category, according to the statistics. In contrast, the group that used traditional learning had an average score of 51.0 in the category of fairly good. A sig value was obtained from the hypothesis testing findings using the Independent sample t-test. There is a statistically significant difference between project-based learning and standard learning classes (2-tailed) 0.002 <0.05). These findings suggest that project-based learning on alternative energy sources can enhance the cognitive learning outcomes of SMA Negeri 1 Perhentian Raja class X students

    Artificial Intimacy and Islamic Jurisprudence: Legal and Ethical Perspectives on Sex Robots

    In light of the integration of artificial intelligence and the substantive progress in the robotics industry, a type of robots called sex robots has emerged, which some see as an alternative to natural sexual relations. A man finds a ÔÇ£female robotÔÇØ as an alternative to a real woman and has a sexual relationship with the female robot, and the same applies to women. Therefore, this research aims to present the jurisprudential view on having sexual relations with robots. The research used the descriptive analytical method based on describing the nature of sex robots, then extrapolating the jurisprudential view of this sexual relationship from jurisprudential sources. As for the results and conclusions, the research concluded that the jurisprudential vision of this topic is represented in the prohibition of having sexual relations with robots in all their forms, and it is not permissible to use a robot for sexual purposes except when necessary; so that if a man or woman does not have to either use a robot or commit adultery, then use is permissible out of necessity; based on the opinion of the jurists of the Hanafi school, which sees masturbation as permissible in the event of fear of adultery, and the opinion of the jurists of the Hanbali school that masturbation is not permissible except when necessary, The scientific contribution of this study is evident as it deals with a realistic issue that has become widespread in contemporary times. This issue is not known to many researchers as well as the general Thus, it was necessary to present the jurisprudential perspective. Moreover, this study may be the first of its kind to address this topic
