BATAM MSMEs SHARIA AWARENESS IN CAPITAL DECISION : ANALYSIS OF CHOICES BETWEEN CONVENTIONAL AND SHARIA FINANCING

    No full text
Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Batam City play an important role in the local economy. However, they still face challenges when making decisions related to capital financing. Although sharia-compliant financing options are available, many MSMEs tend to prefer conventional financing because it is seen as faster and more convenient. This study aims to explore how sharia awareness affects MSMEs' decisions regarding capital sources and to identify the factors influencing these decisions. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing in-depth interviews with eight informants from Islamic financial institutions and MSMEs in Batam City. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results reveal that MSMEs show varying degrees of awareness about sharia principles. Although the principles of interest free (riba-free) and halal financing are regarded as important, practical considerations tend to dominate decision-making. Lack of understanding about sharia financing principles and procedures is a significant obstacle. The study recommends enhanced training and education on sharia financing to enable MSMEs to make more informed and rational financing decisions.

This study aimed to determine the extent to which the use of Educaplay media influences fourth-grade students’ learning interest in the IPAS subject. The research employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental method. The participants were 25 fourth-grade students of MIS Al-Jihad Palangka Raya. The study was conducted from November to January 2026 at MI Al-Jihad Palangka Raya. The results of data analysis revealed a positive and significant relationship between the use of Educaplay learning media (independent variable) and students’ learning interest (dependent variable). The correlation coefficient (R) was 0.607, which falls within the interval of 0.60–0.779 and is categorized as a strong correlation. The regression test results showed an F-value of 13.416 with a significance level of 0.001 < 0.05, indicating that the regression model is appropriate for predicting students’ learning interest based on the use of learning media. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R Square) was 0.368, indicating that the use of Educaplay media contributed 36.8% to students’ learning interest, while the remaining 63.2% was influenced by other factors beyond the scope of this study. Therefore, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted, confirming that there is a positive and significant relationship between the use of learning media and students’ learning interes

Reframing Sexual Education Through Islamic Values: A Digital Innovation for Teachers of Students with Visual Impairments

    No full text
Sexual education for students with visual impairments remains underdeveloped within Islamic educational contexts, where moral sensitivity and inclusive pedagogical approaches are both critically needed. Despite increasing awareness of child protection, few studies have integrated Islamic ethical principles into structured digital learning resources for teachers in special education settings. Addressing this gap, this study develops and evaluates an Islamic values-based e-module designed to support teachers in delivering sexual education to students with visual impairments. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). The module was validated by a subject-matter expert and a media expert, and its effectiveness was tested with six teachers from special schools (SLB) in Riau Province, Indonesia. The results indicate that the module achieved a feasible level of material validation (79%) and a highly feasible level of media validation (93%). Teachers’ evaluations showed a high level of usefulness (97%), and statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test demonstrated a significant improvement in teachers’ understanding (p = 0.026). Beyond its technical feasibility, the module integrates Islamic moral concepts such as modesty (ḥayā’), self-respect (‘iffah), and bodily responsibility (amānah al-jasad), aligning sexual education with Qur’anic and prophetic guidance. The findings suggest that integrating Islamic pedagogy into digital sexual education resources enhances teachers’ competence while reinforcing ethical and spiritual dimensions of inclusive education. This study contributes theoretically to the discourse on Islamic moral pedagogy and practically to the development of value-based digital innovations in special education contexts

This study aims to identify and describe the leadership learning process of female students in the OSIQ organization at Ibnul Qoyyim Putri Islamic Boarding School and to examine its alignment with the stages of low-tech Design-Based Learning (DBL). This research employed a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations involving core administrators, division administrators, and female student supervisors. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by source triangulation to ensure validity. The findings indicate that leadership learning occurs contextually through active involvement in organizational activities. Students identify problems, design solutions through deliberation, implement decisions directly, and conduct reflection for continuous improvement. These practices implicitly reflect the stages of low-tech DBL. Open communication, teamwork, collective decision-making, and mentoring from supervising teachers strengthen leadership development. This study contributes theoretically and practically by providing an empirical description of female student leadership learning patterns within an Islamic boarding school context

    No full text
Educational supervision plays an important role in developing professional culture in elementary schools; however, its practice often remains hierarchical and less collaborative. This study examines the contribution of collaborative-based educational supervision to the development of professional culture in an elementary school. A qualitative case study approach was employed, involving the principal and teachers through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. Data were analyzed through reduction, categorization, and interpretation to identify patterns of collaboration and professional growth. The findings indicate that collaborative supervision fosters open communication, reflective teaching practices, joint problem-solving, and mutual trust among educators, thereby strengthening the school’s professional culture. It is concluded that partnership-based supervision is more effective than control-oriented approaches in enhancing teachers’ professional engagement. Schools are therefore encouraged to institutionalize structured dialogue forums, peer observation, and continuous professional development programs. This study is limited to a single school context; further research involving broader settings is recommended to enhance the generalizability of the findings.
