Penggunaan Sapaan Pedagang Makanan di Lingkungan Kampus
This research is a sociolinguistic study conducted in a simple scope of a campus setting. It aims at understanding the pronominal address system that is used in business conversational settings between sellers-buyers and canteen owners and their employees, as well as the responses from the speakers i.e. both the buyers and canteen employees. The theory used to achieve the goal is Brown and Gilman’s theory of pronominal address forms (1972). The analysis on the seven ways used by sellers in addressing (1) students; (2) security officers; (3) sellers from their own/same hometown; (4) sellers from different hometowns; (5) parking attendants; (6) photocopy employees; and (7) cleaning service employees, revealed that ‘addressing by name only’ was used to address younger people that the sellers had known already, as well as for addressing people whom they considered close, while the words “Mas†(brother), “Mbak†(sister), Ibu (madam), and Bapak (mister) were used for addressing older people as honorific titles that are deemed more respectful. The findings confirmed one of the Indonesians’ typical “Eastern†values, which is the use of specific pronominal address words in day-to-day lives.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dalam bidang sosiolinguistik, yang dilakukan di ruang lingkup yang sederhana yaitu di lingkungan kampus. Penelitian ini berusaha mengungkapkan sistem sapaan yang digunakan pada tuturan seputar kegiatan perdagangan, antara penjual-pembeli maupun antara pemilik kantin dengan pegawainya dan respon yang diberikan oleh petutur, baik itu pembeli maupun pegawai kantin. Teori yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut adalah teori tutur sapa Brown dan Gilman (1972). Dari tujuh analisis penggunaan sapaan pedangang kepada (1) mahasiswa; (2) satpam; (3) sesame pedagang sedaerah; (4) sesama pedagan lain daerah; (5) petugas parkir; (6) petugas fotokopi; dan (petugas cleaning service), ditemukan panggilan “nama†sapaan bagi yang lebih muda karena sudah mengenal dan sebagai sapaan langsung secara akrab, dan panggilan “Masâ€, “Mbaâ€, “Ibuâ€, dan “Bapak†bagi yang lebih tua karena untuk lebih menghormati. Hal ini sejalan dengan ciri khas budaya ketimuran orang Indonesia dan kata sapaan yang digunakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari
PENERAPAN TEORI ADMINISTRASI PUBLIK DALAM KEBERLANJUTAN PENGELOLAAN IPAL KOMUNAL DI JAKARTA
SANIMAS-IsDB Program was initiated by the Ministry of Public Works and Housing during 2015-2018 and Jakarta Capital City Government had contributed to build Communal WWTP in 23 locations. Bappenas (2018) showed that 96% of water body in Jakarta has been highly polluted and based on Environment Agency’s data in 2018, 72,7% contributions of that come from domestic wastewater. To make it operates well, a good and sustainable operation management required. According to PPAPP Agency, the best operating plant located in RW.01 Rawajati, Pancoran, Jakarta. Management operational indicators of Communal WWTP related to public administration theory. Gulick in Ahmad (2015) stated the aspects called POSDCORB (Planning, Organizing, Staffing, Directing, Coordinating, Reporting, Budgeting). These management aspects need to be elaborated with limitations in infrastructure management (Naipospos, 2019). Research Method that applied was qualitative descriptive, with preceded by literature study. The results were certain indicators that affects sustainable operational of the plant, and its relation with public administration theory, as follows: 1) The importance of stakeholders’ participation-related with aspect P, S, O and C; 2) Operation and maintenance costs-related to aspect O and B; 3) Technical design-related to aspect P; and 4) Social aspect-related to aspect R. Based on this, research consclusion is that stakeholders’ participation, technical design and social aspect are indicators related to P, S, O, C and R aspect, needs to be maintain to make a sustainable management. Otherwise, the operation and maintenance cost indicator related to aspect B, need to solve, increase, and become more priority in the management.Program SANIMAS-IsDB diinisiasi oleh Kementerian PUPR tahun 2015-2018 dan Pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta turut membangun IPAL Komunal di 23 lokasi. Data Bappenas (2018) menunjukkan bahwa 96% badan air di Jakarta tercemar berat dan menurut data Dinas Lingkungan Hidup tahun 2018, sumber pencemar air limbah terdapat di permukiman sekitar 72,7%. Untuk mengoperasional IPAL Komunal dengan baik, dibutuhkan manajemen pengelolaan yang baik dan berkelanjutan. Menurut Dinas PPAPP, IPAL Komunal yang berkinerja baik berlokasi di RW. 01, Kelurahan Rawajati, Pancoran, Jakarta. Indikator pengaruh keberlanjutan pengelolaan IPAL Komunal berkaitan dengan teori administrasi publik. Menurut Gulick dalam Ahmad (2015), teori tersebut dituangkan dalam aspek yang disebut POSDCORB (Planning, Organizing, Staffing, Directing, Coordinating, Reporting, Budgeting). Aspek pengelolaan tersebut perlu dikaji dengan limitasi dalam manajemen infrastruktur (Naipospos, 2019). Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah kualitatif secara deskriptif, yang didahului dengan studi literatur. Hasil studi literatur diketahui bahwa indikator yang mempengaruhi keberlanjutan pengelolaan IPAL Komunal dan kaitannya dengan teori administrasi publik, yaitu: 1) Pentingnya peran stakeholders-berkaitan dengan aspek P, S, O dan C; 2) Biaya perawatan dan pemeliharaan-berkaitan dengan aspek O dan B; 3) Desain teknis-berkaitan dengan aspek P, dan 4) Aspek sosial-berkaitan dengan aspek R. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, disimpulkan bahwa pentingnya peran serta stakeholders, desain teknis IPAL dan aspek sosial warga merupakan indikator yang perlu dipertahankan khususnya aspek P, S, O, C dan R untuk mewujudkan pengelolaan IPAL Komunal yang berkelanjutan. Sedangkan indikator biaya perawatan dan pemeliharaan masih perlu diperbaiki dan ditingkatkan kinerjanya terkait aspek B dan belum menjadi prioritas dalam pengelolaan IPAL Komunal
LIVESTOCK SELF-SUFFICIENCY AND LIVESTOCK HOUSEHOLD DISTRIBUTION IN INDONESIA: CURRENT STATE AND EXPECTED DEVELOPMENTS
Indonesia has increasing demand for animal sources of food including red meat. There has always been a national gap between supply and demand of red meat. This paper aims to describe the current features and prospects for livestock production systems in Indonesia. The research method used is descriptive statistics. Based on the source, the data used in this study is secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The first part of the article reviews and analyses population of Indonesian livestock. The second part addresses issues related to the current distribution of livestock that could become important for future development of the livestock industry in Indonesia. Recommendations to improve distribution, to empower smallholder farmers, and to develop systems for livestock development are briefly discussed
EFFECT OF DIFFERENT pH ON GROWTH PERFORMANCE Gracilaria changii
The phenomenon of ocean acidification is a condition of decreasing ocean pH due to carbon dioxide absorption. Ocean acidification has a negative impact on marine organisms, one of which is seaweed. This study aims to determine the growth performance of Gracilaria changii seaweed against different pH. This research was conducted for 30 days at the Multitrophic Laboratory and water quality Research Activity Center, Hasanuddin University Makassar. The experimental design carried out in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) in which there were four treatments. The first treatment (P1) with a pH of 3.5, the second treatment (P2) with a pH of 5.5, the third treatment (P3) used a pH of 9.5 and the control treatment was pH 8 (P0). The test parameters in this research are daily weight growth, pigment content and water quality. Data analysis used ANOVA analysis of variance with further W-Tukey test. The results of this study were the growth performance of Gracilaria sp. the best among all treatments is the pH 5.50 treatment where the growth rate is 11.49%. The optimum pH range for seaweed, especially Gracilaria sp. ie 6-8. But at pH 5.5 it can still be tolerated and in this study
EVALUASI DAN STRATEGI PEMANTAUAN PETA SEBAR HAMA PENYAKIT IKAN KARANTINA (HPIK)
Pemantauan merupakan salah satu tugas yang dilaksanakan oleh petugas karantina ikan dengan Jabatan Pengendali Hama dan Penyakit Ikan (PHPI) yang ahli dan terampil. Penelitian mengunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif, yang di desain agar dapat menguraikan sifat atau karakteristik dari suatu gejala tertentu. Kesimpulaan penelitian menggambarkan potensi kegiatan budidaya di wilayah lingkup adimistrasi SKIPM Merak meliputi kegiatan budidaya air tawar dengan komoditas ikan mas, ikan nila, ikan lele dan ikan patin, dan udang vannamei. Kegiatan pemantauan pada dasarnya sudah dilaksanakan dengan baik, akan tetapi perlu di lakukan peningkatan pada beberapa aspek perencanaan dan pelaksanaannya. Strategi manajemen dapat diaplikasikan pada kegiatan perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan pemantauan antara lain pada manajemen perencanaan, manajemen sumberdaya manusia, peningkatan kompetensi pengujian, dan manajemen koordinasi dengan instansi terkai
Pemetaan Literatur dalam Tesis Manajemen Informasi Perpustakaan
Scientific publication must be accountable for its sources, processes and results. This research is based on allegations of diversity citations used in research. These assumptions are influenced by research topics, knowledge development, technology, shifting of the library paradigm, librarian and student competencies. The purpose of this research is to mapping developments literature on thesis Library Information Management (MIP) students. The results of the study can be used as a reference consideration (secondary data) for further research. The research method uses bibliometric citation analysis. Citations are grouped with the help of co-classification mapping theory and will be elaborated descriptively based on predetermined indicators. The total data examined is 63 theses consisting of 2709 literatures. The Indicators used to analyze include the language of literature, the type of literature, the subject of literature, the list of authors along with the title of the essay and the list of publishers. The Citation analysis results include: (1). Analysis of the language of literature is to find out the variety of languages, it can be seen from the increasing use of foreign-language literature. (2). Analysis of the type of literature is to answer the development of literature. (3). Analysis of the subject used to mapping knowledge, the subject is influenced by the research perspective. (4). The essence of the results of the citation analysis using these indicators reveals that the citations in the Information Management and Library thesis of the 2007/2008-2012 / 2013 class vary. Modifikasi Metode Preparasi Pewarnaan Akar untuk Deteksi dan Visualisasi Pembentukan Koloni Fungi Mikoriza Arbuskula (FMA)
The root staining method was used to detect the presence of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) and to calculate the colonization of the AMF in the roots. Optimal root staining methods not only help in the study of plant-associated mycorrhizae, but also save time and money. Root staining aims to clarify and sharpen the picture of AMF associated with plants on the roots, making it easier to observe with a light microscope. This study aims to obtain an effective (fast, safe, and economical) and flexible method of preparation of root staining so that the visualization of AMF on roots becomes clear and contrasting. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative which includes the cleanliness of the roots from cell contents, root texture, and color contrast, which consists of three treatments, namely P1 (control) using 10% KOH with 90°C heating and followed by the modified Philips & Hayman staining procedure (1970), P2 using 5% KOH by heating at 90°C followed by the modified Philips & Hayman (1970) procedure using 1% HCl, and P3 using 5% KOH heating at 90°C then stained followed the staining method of Philips & Hayman (1970) which was modified by the use of commercial vinegar as a substitute for HCl. All treatments used Trypan Blue dye. The results showed that the P2 and P3 treatments showed results that were not different from P1, the state of the roots is clean enough thereby detection and visualization of AMF could still be observed properly. The P3 treatment method with heating for 9 minutes can be an alternative method that is effective (fast, safe, economical) and flexible. It faster than common method because it takes 9 minutes for cleaning root cells, relatively safe with the use of commercial vinegar solution to replace HCl solution, and economical because it can reduce the need for KOH material up to 50%.Pewarnaan akar bertujuan untuk memperjelas dan mempertajam gambaran FMA yang berasosiasi dengan tumbuhan pada bagian akar sehingga mempermudah dalam pengamatan dengan mikroskop cahaya. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mendapatkan metode preparasi pewarnaan akar yang efektif (cepat, aman, dan ekonomis) dan fleksibel sehingga visualisasi FMA pada akar menjadi jelas dan kontras. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif yang mencakup kebersihan akar dari isi sel, tekstur akar, dan kekontrasan warna, yang terdiri dari tiga perlakuan yaitu P1 (kontrol) menggunakan KOH 10% dengan pemanasan 90°C dan diikuti dengan prosedur pewarnaan Philips & Hayman (1970) yang dimodifikasi, P2 menggunakan KOH 5% dengan pemanasan pada suhu 90°C dilanjutkan dengan prosedur pewarnaan yang dimodifikasi dengan memakai HCl 1%, dan P3 menggunakan KOH 5% pemanasan pada suhu 90°C kemudian diwarnai mengikuti metode pewarnaan yang dimodifikasi dengan penggunaan cuka komersial (untuk konsumsi) sebagai pengganti HCl. Semua perlakuan menggunakan pewarna Biru Trypan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan P2 dan P3 menunjukkan hasil yang tidak berbeda dengan P1 yakni keadaan akar yang cukup bersih sehingga deteksi dan visualisasi FMA masih dapat diamati dengan baik. Metode perlakuan P3 dengan pemanasan selama 9 menit dapat menjadi metode alternatif yang efektif (cepat, aman, ekonomis) dan fleksibel; cepat karena waktu yang diperlukan 9 menit untuk pembersihan sel-sel akar, relatif aman dengan penggunaan larutan cuka komersial (vinegar) untuk menggantikan larutan HCl, ekonomis karena dapat menurunkan kebutuhan bahan KOH hingga 50%
Variabilitas Morfologi Jagung di Kecamatan Ciseeng, Kabupaten Bogor dan Kecamatan Setu, Kota Tangerang Selatan
Penelitian ini mengukur dan membandingkan variabilitas morfologi dari dua populasi jagung varietas Golden di Kabupaten Bogor dan Kota Tangerang Selatan dengan mengukur parameter morfologi tanaman jagung yaitu: jumlah tongkol panen, tinggi tanaman, tinggi letak tongkol, panjang tongkol, diameter tongkol, kadar air saat panen dan bobot kering 100 biji. Pupuk yang digunakan berbeda, untuk tanaman jagung di lokasi kota Tangerang Selatan menggunakan pupuk organik yaitu pupuk kandang kambing, sedangkan lokasi kabupaten Bogor menggunakan pupuk anorganik yaitu pupuk urea, TSP, KCl (NPK). Untuk menganalisis data variabilitas menggunakan Anova. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan, bahwa secara umum terdapat perbedaan dalam morfologi jagung diantara kedua lokasi tersebut. Morfologi jagung di lokasi kota Tangerang Selatan dengan kabupaten Bogor berbeda terutama dalam hal, variabel tinggi tongkol, diameter tongkol, bobot 100 biji, bobot tongkol, dan kadar air. Perbedaan hasil tersebut diduga karena penggunaan pupuk yang berbeda.This study observed two maize populations in two different locations comparing the presence of two different types of environmental influences on the observed maize plants. This study measured and compared the genetic variability and two populations of Golden corn varieties in Bogor Regency and South Tangerang City by measuring corn plant morphological parameters such as yield, number of harvested cobs, plant height, cob height, ripe/harvest age, cob length, diameter cobs, moisture content at harvest and dry weight of 100 seeds. To analyze the variability data, Anova was used to test the effect of the source of diversity from the location and harvest time observations were carried out in early April to late November 2016. Based on the observations, in general there were differences in corn morphology between the two locations. The morphology of maize in the South Tangerang city and Bogor district differs mainly in terms of the variables of cob height, cob diameter, weight of 100 seeds, weight of cob, and moisture content. The difference in results is thought to be due to the use of different fertilizers between the two locations where the corn plant in the South Tangerang city location uses organic fertilizer, namely goat manure, while the Bogor district uses inorganic fertilizers, namely urea, TSP, KCl (NPK). These results support Zystro's (2020) research, although not all of the variables measured show the same results
PROMOTING GUIDED-DISCOVERY LEARNING THROUGH WHATSAPP TO STUDENTS IN OPEN UNIVERSITY
Long-distance learning uses an online platform to transfer the knowledge. It has become a breakthrough in this modern era. The online learning brings many benefits to students, but it is also challenging to be implemented by the tutors in distance education universities. This paper tends to investigate the use of the guided-discovery learning (GDL) method in the psycholinguistics online tutorial class. The participants are the students of the English Education program in Universitas Terbuka, who take Psycholinguistics subject with online tutorial service. The methodology of this research is qualitative by using a case study. The researchers use the WhatsApp application as the platform in conducting the course. The students are required to follow the lesson step by step through WhatsApp. Based on the finding, this research reveals that there are two perspectives of the use of GDL toward psycholinguistics online tutorial class. The first perspective is in students that has two major advantages. The second can be seen from the learning perspective which also has two benefits of the use of GDL
PENERAPAN MODEL INKUIRI MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA BAHAN ALAM UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SEL VOLTA
This study aims to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes of class XII sciene semester 2 totaling 32 students by applying the Inquiry model to the voltaic cell material. The research method used is Classroom Action Research which consists of four stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. This classroom action research was conducted in two cycles, the first cycle on the Cell Potential sub-concept, while the second cycle on the Voltaic Cell sub-concept. Data collection techniques were carried out by tests, observation sheets, and student response questionnaires to the learning process. The data analysis technique was qualitatively based on descriptive analysis of the results of the average calculation of the cognitive test results. Before the application of the inquiry model, the students' cognitive average value was 52.81 and after the application of the learning model with the inquiry model it became 67.41 with 44.00% classical completeness in the first cycle, then increased to 81,00 with 81,25% classical completeness in the second cycle. Most of the students' attitudes were positive towards learning with the Inquiry model and students were also more active in the learning process
