SOME HEAT EXPERIMENTS IMPLICATING THE EXISTENCE OF A SUBTLE ENERGY

    Get PDF
Wilhelm Reich claimed that there existed a cosmic energy, orgone which could be accumulated in a wooden cabinet lined with sheet metal. The experiments in this paper utilized an orgone accumulator (Orac) made from a sheet metal funnel surrounded by sawdust in a cardboard box. The non-Orac control was a similar-sized plastic funnel also surrounded by sawdust and sitting next to the Orac in the same box. The relative responsiveness of the Orac and non-Orac to the heat of a warming plate was investigated in 4 experiments. On initial exposure to the heat from the warming plate in Experiment 1, the temperature of the Orac (Tl) rose more quickly than that of the non-Orac (T2). This was because the metallic funnel was more reactive to heat than the plastic one. Tl also cooled down faster than T2 when the heat was shut off because the metallic funnel was more reactive to heat loss. In this experiment, Tl, T2 and TI-T2 (Td) correlated significantly positvely with each other. In contrast to Experiment 1, where the heat was switched off when Tl and T2 reached a maximum, the warming place in Experiments 2, 3 and 4 was left on for 39 days, 36 days, and 22 months respectively. In these 3 experiments, Tl and T2 correlated significantly positvely with each other as in Experiment 1. However, in contrast to Experiment 1, Td correlated significantly negatively with Tl and T2 in Experiments 2, 3 and 4, indicating that Tl was less reactive than T2, an anomalous finding explained by implicating the cosmic orgone energy. Experiments were also conducted in which T d was used to measure local variations in the cosmic orgone as well as more distant ones, for example, those possibly related to distance from the sun

THE CELLULAR COMMUNICATION PROCESS AND ALTERNATIVE MODES OF HEALING

    Get PDF
This paper presents a hypothesis to explain the process for long distance healing. The hypothesis is based upon an integration of many areas of scientific research. We focus upon non-local inputs and their effects upon the shape of the molecules in our bodies. For hundreds of years scientists have said that if anything moved it was because something else acted on it. Nonlocality suggests that distant systems can be connected in a totally new way-a way in which distance no longer seems to matter. Recent physics experiments strongly support the existence of the phenomena. Our model suggests that for the human body, non-local effects, which initially appear at the sub-atomic level, will be detectable as changes in the molecular structure of cells. Non-local input provides guidance for maintaining the intercellular communication process essential for human gtowth and a healthy body. When noise, interference and misinformation enter into the cellular communication process the human body suffers. However, the human mind, with its ability to operate beyond the physical, permits humans to influence physical processes and hence, the healing process of a body-one's own or others. For a person to become truly connected to the non-local aspects of reality they have to "tune" their bodies to receive the intuitive non-local information. We conclude the paper with a look at how the process berween a spiritual healer and a healee works

TOWARDS OBJECTIFYING INTENTION VIA ELECTRONIC DEVICES

Conventional science would deny the possibility that humans could meaningfully interact with experiments via their focussed intention, and even less so via an intermediary electronic device. Here, via two very different target experiments, that supposition has been experimentally tested and found to be fallacious. For each target experiment, one starts with two identical physical devices, isolates them from each other and "charges" one with the specific intention for the particular experiment. This charging process involved the services of four highly qualified meditators to imprint the device with the specific intention. The devices were then wrapped in aluminum foil and separately shipped, via Federal Express, approximately 2,000 miles to a laboratory where the actual target experiments were conducted by others. The specific intention for experiment 1 was to decrease (increase) the pH of water while that for experiment 2 was to reduce the development time of fruit fly larvae and increase aspects of larval energy metabolism. For experiment 1, robust pH changes in the range of 0.5 to 1.0 pH units (a factor of approximately lOin H+ concentration) relative to the control were observed. For experiment 2, statistically significant (p < 0.005) changes in larval development time and energy metabolism under a variety of environmental circumstances were found. A multidimensional theoretical model (eleven-space) was utilized to account for these results via a structural mechanism in the physical vacuum that allows subtle energies to influence physical reality

EFFECTS OF ENERGETIC THERAPY ON BASAL CELL CARCINOMA

    Get PDF
This pilot study examines the effect of the application of energetic therapy by two energy practitioners nationally recognized for their effectiveness on basal cell carcinoma BCe. Outcome measures included photographs of the tumors during the treatment process, referring physician follow-up reports, and patient reports. Change in tumor size was related to simultaneously measured variables including therapist assessments of client's energy condition and therapist outcome expectation, and client gender, depression, mood, and outcome expectation. Client quality of life at the conclusion of treatment was assessed based on criteria for evaluating nonconventional cancer treatments from the Office of Technology Assessment (OTA). Adverse effects and cost-effectiveness of the treatment were examined. Advantage of studying treatment of this disease in complementary medicine research is noted

MIND OVER MATTER: VOLITION AND THE COSMIC CONNECTION IN YOGIC THEORY

    Get PDF
Energy Medicine and Subtle Energies can be defined operationally in increasingly precise ways as new techniques, new tools, and new theories are developed and tested. Personal ecology is discussed in relation to the burgeoning consumption of non-organic drugs being produced and advertised by commercial drug companies under the umbrella of "the American health care system." In contrast, a yogic self-regulation theory is outlined which, if it is tested, could provide strong guidance for the development of a Science of Human Potential and lead to a better understanding of psychophysiologic self-regulation (mind-over-matter inside the skin, INS) and parapsychology, psychokinesis, and traditional "healing" (mind-over-matter outside the skin, OUTS). Basic Patanjali yoga and volition, and their relation to both INS and OUTS "coincidence control" are considered. On the other hand, it is argued that if we hope in ISSSEEM to build bridges, linking paradigms for clinicians and scientists, that, whenever possible, it is useful to use concepts and metaphors, instruments and techniques, that are understood in presentday science and clinical practice, and as much as possible avoid metaphysical explanations. It is useful to be open minded, but not "far out," to conquer our fears of the anomalous, but not be reckless when talking with colleagues

THE EFFECTS OF UPLEDGER CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY ON POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER SYMPTOMATOLOGY IN VIETNAM COMBAT VETERANS

    Get PDF
The Upledger Institute has provided rwo week intensive treatment for Vietnam veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as diagnosed by the Veteran's Affairs (VA) medical division. These patients received psychological evaluation tests at the times of entry and exit into and out of the program. The intensive treatment was about six-seven hours per day for eight full days, with approximately three-four hours on the first and last days of the program. The therapy used was primarily CranioSacral Therapy and its progeny Energy Cyst Release, SomatoEmotional Release and Therapeutic Imagery and Dialogue. The results obtained strongly suggest that PTSD may be more successfully treated when the thetapy includes corrections of the craniosacral system, the release of foreign energies and conscious-nonconscious integration

TREATMENT OF PARKINSON'S DISEASE USING THE CAYCE WET CELL BATTERY

    Get PDF
Parkinson's disease, a condition involving progressive deterioration of the nervous system, is at present incurable by conventional medicine. Here we report on a study in which we have evidence of clinical improvement from using a treatment modality recommended by Edgar Cayce, a subtle energy device known as the wet cell battery. Cayce said that the wet cell would transfer vibratory energy into the body, and specifically recommended it for neurological disorders, but there have been no previous clinical studies of this modality. T en participants with Parkinson's disease used the wet cell, a chemical battery, with gold and silver solutions, for a four-month treatment period at home. Nine of the ten people followed the protocol consistently (but none completely or perfectly). They averaged slight to moderate improvement in Parkinson's disease symptoms over four months, based on observations by researchers and subjective questionnaires. Over the long term (three years), one participant obtained almost complete remission of his Parkinson's disease symptoms. Since there was no control group the placebo effect cannot be ruled out. However, many minor symptoms showed interesting improvement in several individuals. For example, two people reported regaining their sense of smell, and one had improved color vision. Several people had more facial emotional expressiveness, and reported reduced tremors
