    Educating Children based on Values of Sunda: Islamic Perspective

    Cultural elements, such as proverbs, hold deeply rooted educational values that have been integral to shaping societal norms and practices. These values can be utilized to educate children and build their character from an early age, whether through formal or nonformal education, guided by parents or teachers. In Islamic education, the integration of cultural values has been extensively studied and discussed. This study aims to explore how the values embedded in Sundanese culture can serve as a foundation for educating children from an Islamic perspective. Through a qualitative approach, the research examines Sundanese proverbs and their alignment with Islamic educational principles, focusing on the roles of parents, teachers, and educational institutions in characterbuilding. The study finds that educating children based on Sundanese values within an Islamic framework requires a comprehensive understanding of both cultural and religious teachings. A key element is the pivotal role of mothers as primary role models, supported by teachers and schools, to nurture children who are devoted to Allah and possess noble character. This research highlights the importance of integrating Sundanese cultural values with Islamic educational principles to create a holistic approach to character education. It underscores the collaborative roles of family, educators, and society in fostering a generation rooted in cultural wisdom and Islamic ethics

    Taliban, Fanatism and Stereotype of Islam

    This study aims to explain and describe the correlation of the existence of the world's largest terrorist groups, the taliban, with fanaticism and its relation is the religion of Islam that they profess. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method, method that examines a phenomenon of the researcher’s subjects meanwhile the data collection method used is content analysis. The purpose of this method, which is a systematic research approach with documents as the data source, is to examine and discover the significance, position, and connection between a policy or new or existing program in order to ascertain the advantages of these things. Researching the content of a message, a book, and other materials is another way that content analysis is used. By using this style of study to gather data, the researcher concentrates on portraying the extreme religion that gave rise to the anarchistic group known as the Taliban. the results of the study found the linkage and influence of deobandi understanding which the taliban group adheres to with bigotry which gave birth to their acts of terrorism

    Stimulating Children in Enhancing Spirituality through the Exemplary Story of Ants

    It is important for Early Childhood to be stimulated by providing support in practising activities directly carried out by children in order to make it a religious experience. The purpose of stimulating Early Childhood is to increase Spirituality through the example of teachers and meaningful interactions about the beauty of diversity through exemplary stories. This research was conducted at Nurul Aulia Kindergarten Depok with a qualitative descriptive research method with a case study approach. The results of the study show that through the story of the example of ants and interactive dialogue, it is known that the implications of stories about theexample of ants in Early Childhood are very effective in building spiritual character and have an impact on the attitudes and behavior of children who have love for their religion, are able to identify problems and find solutions

    Criminalization of Freedom of Assembly in Indonesia

    This study aims to analyze Law No. 16 of 2017 concerning Social Organizations in accordance with the Rule of Law Principles and find forms of formulative policies to revoke the status of Legal Entities of Community Organizations Association  in the future (Ius Constituendum). This research is a normative legal research using 3 types of approaches: Statute Approach, Conceptual Approach, Case Approach related to the laws and regulations on Social Organizations. The results of this study indicate that Law No. 16 of 2017, which criminalizes freedom of assembly is not following the principles of the state law and even against the principles of the state law, and has the potential to lead to repressive actions to create a dictatorial ruler. Future formulative policies in realizing freedom of association and assembly, the Law on Community Organizations must continue to guarantee a fair judicial process (due process of law) as regulated in Law Number 17 of 2013 concerning Social Organizations, and the sanctions given are sufficient sanctions. Administratively by suspending or revoking the status of a legal entity association or suspending or dissolving community organizations

    Financial System Stabilization in Islamic Economics Perspective

    The purpose of this study is to find a picture of a stable financial system from the perspective of the Islamic economy. This type of research is literature research with qualitative methods using normative, historical, and phenomenological approaches. The normative approach is used to explain the concepts of Islamic economics. The historical approach is used to explain the chronology of the use of the current financial system. The phenomenological approach explains contemporary events related to the research topic. The data is taken from a wide variety of literature, such as the Qur'an, al-Hadith, and many articles from national and international reputational journals related to this research topic. Researchers used more than 50 articles from Scopus quartile indexed journals 1 to 4 in the last five years. The collected data are analyzed by a deductive method, that is, the process of data analysis of the general opinion of Islamic teachings that have been agreed upon by the majority of people and then narrowed down to a specific idea of the stability of the financial system in Islam. The results of this study were found due to the instability of the current financial system because it uses the concept of usury (in Arabic, usury). In contrast, usury in Islamic economics is legally haram. Therefore, the way to stabilize the financial system from an Islamic economic perspective is to use gold and silver currency standards, abolish the practice of usury, and supervise the turnover of money in society by the hisbah. This research can add to the academic discourse of Islamic economics

    Humanitarian Intervention: Analyzing USA’s Interest Through Military Intervention During the Libyan Civil War (2011)

    The first Libyan Civil War (2011) was a revolutionary movement  influenced by the Arab Spring. From a non-violent series of protest, the  event somehow revolved into an armed conflict between a group of  anti-Qaddafi’s and the pro-Qaddafi’s. Already worsened by vicious military forces under Qaddafi’s command, the turmoil ensued and  instantly turned more hostile as international interventions  meddled in such as the United States and its allies. United States  deployed military forces assists during the conflict namely Operation Odyssey Dawn and Operation Unified Protection with the main goal  to save the non combat civilians from the war zone. Using literary review as the method by compilling older readings in order to collect information regarding the the topic, this article attempts to analyze what could possibly be USA’s genuine intention as they were notorious for interfering in another state’s conflict just to fulfill their national  interest and how such action of intervention were justifiedThabk you. The said interests concluded as follow: (1) to monopoly Libya’s oil and gas by changing the system, maintaining the price, and to open an oil market; (2) to spread their democracy agenda by encouraging the change in the government system; (3) to imprint their hegemony in Libya and Middle East as a whole

    Since its birth, Muhammadiyah has determined its missionary line that is straight in line with the social problems of the Indonesian nation, so it is only natural that Muhammadiyah in its da'wah activities is characterized by a number of its Charities (Muhammadiyah Charities), especially in the fields of education and health. Along with the times, social, economic and educational problems in society are increasingly complex, this is where Muhammadiyah is required to play an active role in providing solutions to a number of these social problems. On the other hand, the limitations of both Muhammadiyah human resources and natural resources which are actually very potential in the Cimanggis District, Depok City are also still not fully explored. thus hampering Muhammadiyah missionary activities in Cimanggis District, Depok City. This research is a type of descriptive research with a qualitative approach. While the data collected is based on direct observation, interviews and document studies. The results of the study indicate that the problems faced by Muhammadiyah in Cimanggis District, Depok City in realizing its social da'wah, are because Muhammadiyah's potentials have not been fully explored, both in terms of human resources and natural resources

    Islamic Foreign Policy: Principles and Practices

    Islam is a comprehensive religion and ideology that encompasses all aspects of human life. However, many Muslims today misunderstand or misinterpret its holistic concept. This issue arises from intellectual limitations within the Muslim community and the pervasive influence of secularism and liberalism in the Islamic world. This article aims to clarify Islam’s perspective on domestic and foreign politics, focusing on its principles, objectives, and practices to provide a more accurate understanding of Islamic foreign policy. Using a qualitative approach, this study collects data from Islamic sources and other relevant literature to explore the foundational concepts of Islamic foreign policy, including both theoretical and practical frameworks. The study argues that Islam forms the basis of Islamic foreign policy, primarily aimed at spreading its message (da'wah). This can be achieved through two main approaches: forceful means (warfare) and peaceful strategies (diplomacy). The paper highlights the importance of consulting expert analyses to optimize foreign policy interests in line with Islamic principles. This research provides foundational insights into Islamic foreign policy and underscores the need for further detailed studies on practical and specific issues in this area. Future research should focus on actionable strategies to implement Islamic foreign policy in a modern global context

    Awakening and Contribution of Muslim Intellectuals to Establish Islamic Civilization

    Islamic civilization is a civilization built on the basis of the Islamic creed (aqeeda), by the Islamic community and for the purposes dictated by Islam. Islamic civilization must be rebuilt for two big reasons: the world's civilization major threats, and help the Islamic mastery so many fardhu kifayah of Muslims that do not run normally. Intellectual Muslims are Muslims who have an education above the population average, and care about the problems of the Ummah. Intellectual Muslims are obliged to contribute, because they are people who were given by Allah the trust of reason and the trust of knowledge, so they have a greater responsibility. Throughout history, these Muslim intellectuals have made many contributions: as inspirator, guardian of the scientific method, and guardians of applying science and technology responsibly. Some think that this ummah is slumped because it is weak in modern science and technology. But the reality is far more complicated. This is when Muslim intellectuals realize that they are part of the best of the ummah, who must bring to this world the best works, who have the responsibility to remind people, enjoin what is right, and prevent what is evil prove faith in Allah. This is the time for them to sit down together to integrate and synergize all their potential and solve the people's problems
