The period of Iddah and Reproductive Health was searched systematically with the inclusion criteria of full text articles published within the last 5 years. A search using a combination of key terms, including 'divorce', 'iddah period', 'sexual health', reproductive health', Immune system, resulted in a final data set that included 7 studies. The Iddah period is related to making sure to know the possibility of getting pregnant or not and to know the cleanliness of the uterus. This aims to preserve offspring and prevent mixing of offspring from previous men or husbands. The cleaning period for the reproductive organs takes 120 days. Women's immunity has a genetic memory of sperm for 120 days. In addition, this period can also prevent sexually transmitted diseases due to decreased immunity which can occur due to the influence of free relationships and multiple partners. The Iddah period has an impact on cleaning the female reproductive organs, straightening lineages to avoid mixing lineages, and preventing sexually transmitted diseases and is not a discrimination. This needs to be understood from the scientific aspect of health and Islamic law as educational material for the communit

The Role of Zakat, Infaq, Sadaqah (ZIS), HDI, and Government Expenditure on Poverty Alleviation: Economic Growth as an Intervening Variable

Zakat, Infaq, and Sadaqah are forms of instruments in Islam that are one of the tools in reducing poverty. Islam instructs its people not to feel that their property is theirs entirely, but in that property, there are rights for other people. This study aims to find out how the influence of ZIS (Zakat, Infaq, and Sadaqah), Human Development Index (IPM), and Government Expenditures on Poverty with Economic Growth as Intervening Variables in West Sumatra for the 2015-2020 period. This research is quantitative research using panel data. The data collection method is carried out by accessing reports that have been carried out by the Central Statistics Agency, and the West Sumatra Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS). The data that has been obtained is then processed using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square. The research results show that ZIS and HDI have a negative relationship and a significant influence on poverty in West Sumatra. The important role of ZIS is proven in alleviating poverty if it is managed properly. Meanwhile, government spending has a positive and insignificant effect on poverty in West Sumatra. Government spending is meaningless if it is not accompanied by good planning and management

A Review of Central Bank Digital Currency Application in Indonesia

The study explores the prospects and possibilities of the application of a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) in Indonesia, which is widely discussed by Bank Indonesia (BI), using a critical approach from an Islamic perspective. As digital payments and technology disruptions radically change people’s behaviour and the way they conduct transactions, the issue is critical to the existing literature and promoting policy. Using a descriptive-qualitative method, the study identifies the existing literature and the implementation challenges in the Indonesian context, further enhanced by incorporating Islamic viewpoints as a core value. The study revealed that cash-like money still dominates the existing currency distribution, and the socio-economy, including the infrastructure in daily transactions, still relies on the traditional monetary system. The implementation of CBDC in the short term remains risky. From an Islamic perspective on the monetary system, Indonesia does not adopt gold and silver standards as underlying assets for currency issuances. It deviates from the Sharia rules and is a core issue for the monetary system

Maintaining Yogyakarta’s Market Traditions to Develop Islamic Trade in Indonesia

The purpose of this study is twofold, namely: uncovering traditions in Yogyakarta's traditional markets in the face of free competition and developing them into Islamic trade clean from the influence of capitalism. Researchers used the main information from observations and interviews with traditional market participants, namely: one person from the Yogyakarta palace, one market authority, one trader, one buyer, and one person from the market association. Supporting information is taken from the researcher's readings on literature documents related to the research topic, such as articles that have been published in journals and library books. After the information is collected, it is then analyzed interactively throughout the research period by triangulating continuously until it is saturated.  The results of this study show that traditional market traditions in Yogyakarta, such as market kekancingan, supervision by market lurah, kirab, and market grebeg, have been maintained from the onslaught of the free market so that it continues to exist until now because of the spirit of market players driven by Islamic motivation, namely worshipping Allah SWT. These traditions can be developed to be stronger to revive Islamic trade in an Islamic economic system that can match capitalism. This method of developing the tradition by adding a complete understanding of the concept of the market in the Islamic economic system.  The findings of this study are expected to contribute to adding to the discourse of the market concept in Islamic economic studies and can practically be applied by the authorities for the protection of traditional markets from modern market attacks

Islamophobia, the irrational fear, prejudice, or hatred towards Islam and Muslims, has become a pervasive issue in contemporary society. While historical roots of Islamophobia exist, its commercialization has emerged as a distinct phenomenon in recent years. This article explores the commercialization of Islamophobia and its implications, shedding light on how various actors capitalize on apprehension to further their interests. The study employs a literature review approach to analyze and understand the phenomenon, revealing how media, politics, and business exploit and profit from fear, stereotypes, and negative perceptions surrounding Islam and Muslims. The consequences of the commercialization of Islamophobia are profound, perpetuating discrimination, marginalization, and violence against Muslim communities. To counter Islamophobia effectively, collective efforts must be made to dismantle fear-inducing narratives, promote empathy, and foster a comprehensive understanding of Islam and Muslims

The purpose of this article is to provide a conceptual description of thinking of Muslim countries in viewing sovereignty. Sovereignty in these days means independence from various dependencies, especially political-economic dependence. This study used a qualitative library research method. the results of the study found gaps in the concept of development in Muslim countries in the concept of development towards sovereignty through strategic industries. The novelty of this concept is to see the potential of ASEAN countries, especially Indonesia, to be able to take a big role in an important strategic industrial position for Muslim countries

From Gaza to Unity of The Ummah: Uncovering Potential of The Geopolitics of Ummah

This study explores the potential of the geopolitics of ummah in uniting the Muslim community amidst the ongoing genocide in Gaza since October 2023. This genocide has sparked global support, including from Western societies. Given Palestine's status as the home of Al-Aqsa Mosque, the third holiest site in Islam, this momentum should spur the ummah to make a significant impact. The study underscores the need for the ummah to realize their potential, as demonstrated historically and through Western responses to their unity efforts. We examine this potential using the Baitul Maqdis Barakah Circle ). Data were obtained from literature studies and analyzed using critical discourse analysis (CDA) to understand how this discourse influences the thoughts and behaviors of the ummah. The results indicate that support for Palestine has heightened awareness of the liberation of thought. Islamic solutions, including struggle in the way of Allah, are gaining recognition as responses to the failure of international actors to end the Israeli occupation. These findings suggest that the ummah can play a significant role in global politics by uniting and mobilizing their strengths, including population numbers, comprehensive solutions to occupation, and material power such as natural resources and military capabilities

Level of Antibiotic Resistance in Vibrio parahaemolyticus Bacteria Isolated from Shrimp: Observation of Shrimp Ponds in South Sulawesi Province

The presence of Vibrio parahaemolyticus in shrimp ponds needs to be a concern because it is an opportunistic pathogen. Although V. parahaemolyticus can aid shrimp digestion, an increase in its population can negatively impact shrimp conditions. Currently, there are concerns about antibiotic-resistant V. parahaemolyticus due to the use of antibiotics in aquaculture activities. Antibiotic resistance is not only caused by unwise use of antibiotics but can also occur due to mutations between bacteria in the aquatic environment. Therefore, it is important to determine the presence or absence of antibiotic-resistant V. parahaemolyticus from shrimp farming activities in ponds. Early detection will be crucial for policymakers regarding the use of antibiotics in pond shrimp farming and provide information for shrimp farmers about the effectiveness of the antibiotic use they have taken. This study aims to observe antibiotic resistance in V. parahaemolyticus bacteria obtained from ponds in South Sulawesi Province. Based on observations made in four districts, the results showed that no V. parahaemolyticus was found to be resistant to the three types of antibiotics tested. It can be concluded that shrimp from ponds in South Sulawesi Province are still free from antibiotic-resistant V. parahaemolyticus. Nevertheless, continuous vigilance and monitoring of this problem is still needed to maintain the sustainability of the shrimp farming industry and food safet

Carbon and Nitrogen Management in Mangrove Ecosystems in Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions: Ecological and Islamic Perspective

Mangrove ecosystems, located along tropical and subtropical coastal areas, play a vital role in carbon storage and the nitrogen cycle, both of which significantly influence greenhouse gas emissions. These ecosystems store atmospheric CO₂ in their biomass and sediments. However, widespread mangrove degradation disrupts their ecological functions and environmental stability. This study aims to examine the relationship between carbon and nitrogen cycling in mangrove ecosystems and explore sustainable management strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, integrating ecological perspectives and Islamic ethics. The research employs a comprehensive review of existing studies to analyze the roles of mangroves in carbon sequestration, nitrogen cycling, and their degradation's impacts on greenhouse gas emissions. It also discusses the integration of Islamic principles into mangrove conservation. Findings indicate that mangroves significantly contribute to carbon storage and nitrogen cycle regulation. Mangrove degradation affects their carbon sequestration capabilities, alters environmental conditions, and disrupts microorganisms essential for the nitrogen cycle. Furthermore, incorporating Islamic ethics into mangrove management can strengthen conservation efforts by fostering a sense of responsibility and sustainability. This study highlights the ecological importance of mangrove ecosystems in mitigating climate change through carbon and nitrogen management. It underscores the need for integrating Islamic ethical principles in conservation strategies to enhance sustainable environmental management. Preserving mangroves is critical for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting climate resilience
