Dormitories for girls at the secondary education level require facilities that are suitable for the needs of girls aged between 12 and 18 years. This research aims to determine the optimal spatial layout for girls' dormitories, based on the space requirements for both main activities and supporting activities, using a sample of five boarding schools in West Java. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method that commences with data collection through surveys, observations, and a review of relevant literature pertaining to dormitories. This research not only begins by analyzing the existing spaces but also delves into factors influencing the presence of these spaces, specifically examining the availability of dormitory, and supporting room facilities through the assessment of suitability using a survey checklist of various variables. The results indicate that different space optimization patterns were observed in the five boarding schools, which depended on the management concept of each dormitory. These patterns were adjusted to the existing conditions of the dormitory, considering the adaptation and utilization of available spaces. In general, all dormitories have met the standards and space optimization patterns according to the criteria set by each dormitory manager. Consequently, further research is warranted, particularly in relation to the management concept and the spatial arrangement based on the dormitory's brand identity

This paper aims to discuss Uthman bin Mazh'un's paragraph in visuals, literature in the Nusantara and the international exhibition of the power of the Ka'bah II. The character of the Prophet Muhammad's companion is that of a friend who cares about others' suffering. Visual, literary, and exhibition discussions will help readers understand the character in a cultural context. Visual paraga in the form of wayang implies a specific message to the audience. Especially when exhibited on the international scene. Apart from that, the messages in Javanese literature are moralistic and intended for connoisseurs. Therefore, Uthman bin Mazh'un's paragraph in the wayang Kekayon Khalifah can serve as a beautiful educational tool for the public, both in appearance and language

    No full text
This article provides a new perspective on responding to the turmoil in Palestine from 1948 to the present. The main argument of this article is that the primary cause of the Palestinian issue is the existence of the Zionist Jewish occupiers in Palestinian land, supported by the United States and its allies. Hence, the solution to this occupation is to liberate Palestine from Zionist occupation. This study uses the concept of jihad in Islam as a framework to explain the steps in liberating Palestine. The method used is qualitative analysis of data collected from various books, journals, and websites. This study finds that, given the current conditions in Palestine, the approach of jihad is the most realistic approach that pro-Palestinian Muslim-majority countries can undertake. However, the implementation process is inaccessible due to several factors, including the political, economic, and military conditions in Muslim countries, as well as the dominant ideologies currently followed and applied by these countries

The purpose of this study is to investigate the appropriateness and condition of educational facilities in compliance with Ministerial Regulation No. 24 of 2007, as well as the relationship between these facilities and the curriculum at Integrated Islamic Primary Schools (SDIT) in Bandung, West Java. In this study, nine full-day SDITs were reviewed using a qualitative methodology that included snowball sampling. According to the findings, although the majority of schools are able to meet the infrastructure standards, there are disparities in the conditions of the facilities, such as differences in classroom size, ventilation, and library resources, which show that there is a need for changes. Furthermore, the variety of curricular applications, which can range from national to international systems, has a considerable impact on the spatial organisation of school facilities as well as the functional criteria that must be met. It is necessary to have appropriate infrastructure assistance in order to facilitate the integration of various curricular aspects in order to cultivate an effective learning environment that is respectful of Islamic educational ideals. According to the findings of this study, improving facility standards and bringing them into closer alignment with the requirements of a wide variety of curricula can have a considerable positive impact on educational outcomes

Integrating the Prophet's Diet in Contemporary Nutrition Education to Achieve Sustainable Health and Wellbeing: A Narrative Review

Nutrition education is essential for improving global health and achieving sustainability goals. According to the WHO 2023 report, 38% of adults worldwide are overweight, and 22% of children under five are stunted. The 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 2, emphasize the importance of nutrition education in promoting health and sustainable well-being. This study aims to explore the diet of the Prophet and its alignment with contemporary nutrition education principles to address current health challenges like obesity and malnutrition. A narrative review was conducted, analyzing 926 articles, 16 of which met the inclusion criteria. The articles, primarily published between 2016 and 2022, were sourced from databases such as Google Scholar, Scopus, and PubMed. The review focused on the principles of the Prophet’s diet and their relevance to modern nutrition education. The analysis revealed that the Prophet’s simple and balanced diet, including the principles of halal food, aligns with contemporary nutrition principles advocating natural and balanced eating. The findings highlight the growing interest in integrating Islamic dietary practices into nutrition education to promote sustainable health. This study suggests that incorporating the Prophet’s dietary principles into nutrition education can provide a sustainable, evidence-based approach to addressing modern health issues. The findings can inform the development of curricula and digital platforms. Future research should focus on empirical studies to assess the impact of these diets and create educational programs that integrate Islamic values

Mudharabah and Musyarakah Financing in Indonesian Islamic Banking Practices: Is It Equity or Debt Financing?

The purpose of this paper is to examine whether Mudharabah and Musyarakah financing from Islamic banks in Indonesia is capital or debt financing, based on legal, accounting, and fiqh perspectives. To achieve this goal, a review is carried out on laws, Sharia Accounting Standards, MUI and DSN Fatwas, the Al Quran and Hadith, articles, the Financial Reports of Islamic Banks in Indonesia, and other relevant documents. This study concludes that the law as stipulated in Act No. 21 of 2008 limits Islamic banking operational activities only to the financial sector, and it is almost impossible to implement in a real economy. The current provision does not allow Islamic banking to act as an investor in a mudharabah contract or as an asset owner in a musyarakah contract. This is confirmed in the financial reports of Islamic banks, which do not report mudharabah financing and musyarakah financing as investments. In addition, in practice, Contract musyarakah cannot stand on its own but must be carried out in a multi-contract (hybrid) manner. Even though the Prophet had forbidden the practice of two contracts in one transaction. On the other hand, in distributing financing, banks do not have a sharia contract basis to act as shaibul mal. The bank's status as Al-Wakil or Mudharib does not justify it changing its status to Shahibul Mal when disbursing funds. As a result, the Contract of mudharabah and musyarakah financing carried out by banks with customers as mudharib becomes void

The Problems of Sharia Investment in Indonesia from The Perspective of Maqashid Al-Sharia

This study examines investment instruments in Indonesia from an islamic perspective, focusing on their compliance with Maqashid Al-Shariah and Islamic capital market regulations. It also explores public preceptions of the halal status of Islamic capital market product. The methodology used is a qualitative approach with a literature review. The study reviews 200 journal articles, selecting 32 relevant journal and 2 books for analysis. The findings show that Islamic investments must adhere to the five key elements of Maqashid Al-Shariah: protection of religion, life, intellect, lineage, and wealth. Investments that fail to meet these criteria may not be considered fully compliant with Shariah, despite legal recognition. Regulations by the OJK and supported by the DSN-MUI provide a sufficient legal framework, but Shariah principles are often blended with conventional ones due to the influence of Pancasila ideology. The study also reveals mixed public opinions regarding the Islamic capital market, with many questioning whether products labeled as "Shariah" truly meet halal and Shariah principles. This skepticism is compounded by the absence of specific laws regulating the Islamic capital market, highlighting a gap between legality and morality. The study emphasizes the need for clearer policies distinguishing between Shariah and conventional principles and the importance of enhancing public literacy on Shariah-compliant investments
