Activeness and dedication of the all editors, is the main reason for the continuous success of this prestigious journal. I encourage all the Editors to collaborate together in multidisciplinary scientific researches especially to combat the recent pandemic of COVID-19. We can do it. The editors originated from different countries and they all have different scientific backgrounds so we can share the experience and contribute in publishing good articles. As far as my specialization is concerned I am expert in the field of nano-carriers as drug delivery systems with more than 10 years’ experience. Additionally, I have good experience in tablet dosage form enabling me to solve tablet manufacturing problems based on my publications concerning different types of tablets formulations including; effervescent mini-tablets, size expanding tablets and various types of osmotic tablets.
So let’s start and work on a target of getting a good impact factor for our “UJPR”
TANAKA AND JOHNSTON'S MIXED DENTITION VALIDITY: AN ANALYSIS AMONG YEMENI ADULTS IN SANA'A CITY
Introduction and objective: Mixed dentition space analysis methods via Tanaka-Johnston analysis are regularly used all over the world. Conversely, the appropriate of this analysis between different ethnic groups is dubious. The study aimed to test the appropriate of the Tanaka-Johnston analysis for Yemeni adults and to arise regression equations designed for Yemen population if needed.
Methods: The study included two hundred and twenty-seven (106 males and 121 females) Yemenis from Sana'a University, University of Science and Technology, and Al-Rehab Private Clinic. The mesiodistal widths of the four permanent lower canines, incisors, and premolars for the entire quadrants were determined with a digital caliper to the nearest 0.01 mm. To compare average presentation values derived from this study with values derived using Tanaka-Johnston equations, Student's paired t-test was used, as well as the chi-square (χ2) test used for appropriateness of fit.
Result: Gender differences were observed in the total mesiodistal width of both canines and premolars in both arches as revealed by the t-test (p < 0.001). The sum of the actual mesiodistal width of the canines and premolars was compared with the expected widths derived from the Tanaka and Johnston equation and significant differences (p<0.001) were found. Regression analysis indicated that the sum of the mesiodistal width of the permanent mandibular incisors is a good predictor of that of un-erupted canines and premolars, with correlation coefficients ranging from 0.51 to 0.61. Accordingly, two linear regression equations were developed to predict tooth width for Yemeni males and females.
Conclusion: It was concluded from this study that the Tanaka-Johnston analysis did not accurately predict the mesiodistal width of the unruptured canines and premolars of the Yemeni population. Moreover, new regression equations have been developed for the research sample that can be a standard for Yemen. However, further studies must be performed to verify the applicability and accuracy of these equations.

RENAL LESIONS: DIFFERENTIATION OF MALIGNANT AND BENIGN TUMORS, SEX AND AGE DISTRIBUTION AND VARIABLES ASSOCIATED WITH RENAL CELL CARCINOMA
Background: In Yemen there are only a few special epidemiological studies dedicated to malignancy, and for this motivation it is necessary to strengthen, update, construct and continue to afford studies on tumor comportments with the plan of achieving better influence on public health, with early diagnosis and suitable treatment with the plan of enhance survival of living and reducing the feasible subsequent consequences of malignancy.
Aims: The study designed to illustrate the different types of kidney cancer (KC), the gender and age distribution of the cancer, and to identify the different types of them and their correlation with invasion and gradation; and its association with age groups and gender.
Materials and methods: A retrospective observational study was performed on renal masses patients who were consequently diagnosed selectively by histopathological study in the National Center for Public Health Laboratories (NCPHL) at the Department of Pathology, and the Department of Pathology in Al-Thorah university hospital, Sana'a, Yemen, over a period of 18 years from January 1, 2004 to December 31, 2021. Data were collected from hospital records. The study variables were lesions histological types, benign, malignancy, non-neoplastic lesions, sex, grades and age. The whole data were analyzed by IBM SPSS Statistics 22.Ink. The outcomes for variables were given in the form of rates (%). Chi Square was used for categorical variables that measured association among categorical variables. P-values less than 0.05 were considered significant.
Results: Malignant tumors accounted for 177/282 (62.8%) of the total kidney lesions, renal cell carcinoma (RCC) was the most common type of cancer with 126/282 (44.7%), followed by Wilms tumors 47/282 (16.7%), while non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma reported 3 cases (1.1%) and mucinous carcinoma one case (0.35%). Benign tumors accounted for 14/282 (5%), and non-neoplastic lesions accounted for 91/282 (32.3%). Concerning RCC, the average diameter of RCC is 8.9 cm. GI 40/126 (31.7%) with mean tumor diameter equal to 5.8 cm; GII was the most frequent grade 63/126 (50%).
Conclusion: Renal cell carcinoma in Yemeni adults presents at an early age with an increased incidence among the female sex with a relatively larger tumor size. It appears that there has been a slight improvement in the diagnosis of kidney cancer in Yemen over the past 18 years.

Peer review and its importance in evaluation for pharmaceutical and medical journals
Peer review, which is the evaluation of work by one or more persons who have similar qualifications to the producers of work on which our beloved journal (UJPR) has relied from the first day of its inception. This method works as a form of self-regulation by members who are qualified for a profession in the relevant field and our journal has selected senior professors and Doctors in the various branches of medical and pharmaceutical sciences. What distinguishes the scientists of our journal is the seriousness and credibility, as well as the quick response in a timely manner. From my experience with many sober medical journals, one of the most disadvantages that these journals suffer is the long response time for review. Undoubtedly, peer review methods are used to maintain quality standards, improve performance and provide credibility, but this does not justify the long delay in reviewing and responding to these journals.
A well-known rule of peer review is that in academia, peer review is often used to determine the suitability of an academic paper for publication and our journal adheres to this approach to this day. In addition, it has also been used as an educational tool to help journal publishers and researchers improve their writing assignments for them in the future as corrections in revised articles explaining the reasons for corrections are kept in the journal website and returned to researchers. The professional peer review of our journal has focused on the performance of professionals, with the aim of improving the quality of our journal, and adhering to standards, to obtain evaluation certificates for our journal from specialized bodies and circles such as Scopus.
I recommend to my colleagues, students, and researchers from all corners of the globe to publish in the UJPR esteemed journal, which adopts a professional peer review process, which will determine when the article submitted has met the required medical standards and assure them of a professional and scientific response in a timely manner
IN VITRO GENOTOXICITY OF THREE PLANTS FROM ASTERACEAE FAMILY IN HUMAN LYMPHOCYTES CULTURES
Background: Onopordum carduiforme, Centaurea verutum, and Achillea santolina are medicinal plants grown in Syria and commonly used in traditional medicine. Such as antibacterial, antioxidant and anticancer properties. However, the genotoxic effects of these plants have not been studied.
Aim and objective: the aim of this study was to evaluate the genotoxic effects of hydroethanolic extracts of these plants on human lymphocyte cultures model by evaluating the cell proliferation, determination of mitotic index (MI), and their effects on chromosomes.
Methods: the hydroethanolic extracts of the aerial parts of the three plants were extracted using an Ultrasonic bath. Then the genotoxic effects of hydroethanolic extracts of these plants on human lymphocyte cultures was conducting by determination of mitotic index (MI).
Results: the results showed that all three plants decreased non-significantly the mean of mitotic index in comparison with negative control (normal MI) (p>0.05) at concentrations (1, 3, 5 mg/ml) and the mitotic index values ranged was between (2.25±0.07 and 3.3±0.28). However, C. verutum showed the lowest mitotic index (3±0.14 at 1 mg/ml) and (2.25±0.07 at 5 mg/ml), and did not induce chromatid or chromosome breaks or gaps.
Conclusion: these preliminary results on cytotoxicity and mutagenicity of these plants provide valuable information about the safety of using them in alternative medicine.

A NOVEL QUATERNARY ALKALOID N-METHYLCORYXIMINE FROM HYPECOUM PENDULUM L.
Objective: In this study, the isolation and chemical structure elucidation of a new alkaloid from Hypecoum pendulum L is provided.
Material and Methods: Column and ascending preparative thin layer chromatographic methods were utilized for the purification of the novel compound. The structure elucidation was determined based on spectroscopic methods including infrared (IR), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and Mass (MS) spectroscopy.
Results: N-methylcoryximine, a quaternary alkaloid from secoberbine subgroup of isoquinoline alkaloids, was isolated and the structure of this compound was elucidated.
Conclusion: The natural occurrence and spectral data of N-methylcoryximine is reported for the first time.

INTEGRATING GENOMIC DISCOVERIES INTO FORENSICS: A MINI REVIEW
The justification that behavioral genetic evidence provides in criminality remains a wonder. Scientific evidence suggests that a decreased activity of the enzyme monoamine oxidase (MAOA-L) dubbed the warrior gene surges the possibility for aggressive, antisocial behavior and increased criminality. Ever since the human genome project was completed, breakthrough in genetics and biotechnology are now advancing at a speedy rate. Advancement in genetics and biotechnology has opened a frontier to carry out investigation on the influence of genetics on human behavior at the molecular-genetic level. The interplay between genes and susceptibility to diseases has extensively been accepted, but, the similar link between genes and predisposition to criminal behavior is yet to gain a wide acceptance. Notwithstanding this cynicism, biological studies have revealed that relatives of convicted criminals have higher chances of criminality, suggesting a genetic association to certain criminal behavioral tendencies. Emerging data and evidence indicates that without recourse to genetics, there would be a limited opportunity in elucidating the mechanism and reason for criminal, aggressive and antisocial behavior of some individuals. In this light, reports from some scientific finding revealed that monoamine oxidase A (MAOA) provides the strongest association between genetic variation and aggressive behavior particularly low gene variant monoamine oxidase A (MAOA-L) which has been introduced by experts as evidence for criminal behavior. Beside a satisfaction of scientific curiosity, genetic research portends the potential to contribute to preventive measures and investigation into the genetic etiological correlation of criminal behavior may result to the opening of a new frontier for treatment and intervention.

IN VITRO ASSESSMENT OF ANTIMICROBIAL AND ANTIOXIDANT ACTIVITIES OF EXTRACTS OF YEMENI FAGONIA SCHWEINFURTHII HADIDI
Background: Antioxidant and antimicrobial properties of plant extracts are attributed to bioactive components derived from medicinal plants. This study inspected into the antimicrobial and antioxidant effects of extracts from Fagonia schweinfurthii Hadidi aerial portions.
Method: Several solvents, including n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and methanol, were utilized sequentially to extract secondary metabolites from F. schweinfurthii aerial parts. Antimicrobial activity was evaluated using the well diffusion method and broth serial dilution, whilst antioxidant activity was evaluated using the 2, 2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radical scavenging method.
Results: The findings exposed that the studied fungal strains (Candida albicans and Trichophyton rubrum) were resistant to all plant extracts. F. schweinfurthii methanol and ethyl acetate extracts demonstrated inhibitory effects on Gram-positive and Gram-negative tested bacteria with minimum inhibitory concentration between 2.5 and 20 mg/ml. In addition, the most sensitive bacterium was Proteus vulgaris, with an inhibitory concentration (2.5 and 5 mm). While the most resistant bacterium was Staphylococcus epidermidis. Due to the physical and chemical properties of the solvents, different extracts of F. schweinfurthii aerial parts exhibited diverse antioxidant capabilities in the antioxidant activity experiment. Methanol and ethyl acetate extracts exhibited IC50 values of 236 ± 0.2µg/ml and 359.4± 0.6µg/ml, respectively.
Conclusion: According to the findings of this study, the aerial portions of F. schweinfurthii could be considered a possible source of natural antioxidants as well as a valuable source of antibacterial agents against bacteria that cause ear infections.

PATTERN OF LIVER DISEASE ADMISSIONS AT A TERTIARY GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL IN SANA’A, YEMEN
Back ground and objectives: Liver disease causes major public health problems international, especially in poor countries, and it is associated with poor long-term clinical outcomes and results in the deaths of millions worldwide annually. The aim of this study is to ascertain the virtual frequencies of liver disease and to assess etiological factors among patients admitted to Al-Thawra tertiary Hospital in Sana'a City, Yemen.
Methods: This was a descriptive retrospective analysis study of gastrointestinal patients admitted from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021 to the medical wards of Al-Thawra Hospital. This is a tertiary hospital located in the Yemeni capital, Sana'a City. Data were extracted from patient case folders for the period of under review. Data validated with Microsoft Excel version 13 and exported to SPSS version 23.0 for windows; for statistical analysis. Data were evaluated for demographic and other clinical characteristics as definite variables.
Results: Of the 516 gastroenterology patients admitted to the gastroenterology service in medical wards during a one-year period, liver disease accounted for 30% of all gastroenterology in the same period. There were 155 patients diagnosed with liver disease. There were 86 (55.5%) males and 69 (44.5%) females, with a male to female ratio of 1.2:1. The mean overall age of patients and the age range were 46.14±16.5 and 8-85 years, respectively. The peak incidence of age occurred during the fifth and sixth decades of life at 38.1%. The most common liver disease was; autoimmune hepatitis 43 (27.7%), followed by nonalcoholic fatty liver disease 35 (22.6%), viral hepatitis 32 (20.6%) and schistosomiasis 10 (6.5%).
Conclusion: Current findings show that autoimmune hepatitis was the most common cause among gastrointestinal diseases in Sana'a city, Yemen; the male to female ratio was roughly the same. In light of this, health education and public awareness about hepatitis virus screening tests and schistosomiasis screening and treatment is the primary preventive strategy to be considered.

Most researchers challenge all difficulties as: originality of works, materials, meticulous methods, software’s. Keeping along between different teams of researchers is the main cause of enhancing in the high details of one topic discussing in coherence its physiological, cellular, and molecular interaction side, but we sorry for the segregation that often occurs in the same team. Then, fidelity of some authors “treating the same topic” to the journal facilitate to lecturers to pursue their profound research and/or preparation of their pedagogic document. Indexing in Scopus/Thomson Reuters does not mean to some authors, which feels the strictness and accuracy in reviewing process of non-indexed journals whose gives them more confidence between authors and editors.
Browsing in previous issues of the journal confirm the careful choice of high proficiency articles by the Editor-in-chief, then their destination to the appropriate reviewer from all over the world. As previous author, services offered by UJPR to authors crown their efforts and accentuate their work path, a sever peer-review system and both the reviewers and author remain anonymous throughout the process. Researchers preferred only a rapid journal, and cited indexed journals in Scopus and publish their articles in non-indexed journals; led some Editors to demand citing publications from previous issues to enhance merits of journal, mostly, with time authors will trust to journals according to other criteria.
Researchers should deal with some laws, but fall into the trap of predatory reviews with attractive website, supposedly indexed in Scopus, all this torture distorts the art of research, and its main goal of interchange of information, as delaying its application in industries or hospitals
