KAJIAN KONSEP OPEN-AIR MUSEUM: STUDI KASUS KAWASAN CAGAR BUDAYA TROWULAN
This article discusses the concept of open-air museum as a kind of museum based on the new museology paradigm, within the heritage region of Trowulan. Research location is in the Heritage Region of Trowulan, Mojokerto, East Java Province. This study is a qualitative research with case studies strategy, and the research stages include data collection, data processing, and data integration (conclusion). The research results can formulate concepts and models of open-air museum that can be developed in the Cultural Heritage Regions of Trowulan. Principally, it is an open-air museum in the form of monumental buildings that located on the original site (in situ) equipped with the interpretation of human activities and integrated in an exhibition layout theme. The exhibition layout theme presented is about multicultural aspects from the Majapahit Kingdom
TRADISI MEGALITIK PADA RITUAL KEKERIK DI KALANGAN MASYARAKAT TENGGER
The Kekerik ritual has been conducted to celebrate 40 days baby delivery. The ritual is conducted by dukun, a ceremonial leader in Tengger society. This ritual is held to avoid some bad influences from evil spirits arounds. The baby who had this ritual means accepted by Tengger society and start a new life as a holy baby. This kekerik ritual shows megalithic tradition, which is the ancestor spirits is invited to bless the host and also some offerings is made to be presented for the ancestor spirits. The study that conducted in Keduwung village, Puspo district, Pasuruan Regency, East Java Province showed that kekerik ritual reflects megalithic tradition in a Tengger society. This condition is interesting because Tengger people has been known as Hinduneese. The study that define the relation between megalithic tradition and kekerik ritual is applying ethnoarchaeology approach, especially cultural sustainability which assumes that megalithic tradition in Tengger community is related to the past
PERSAMAAN DAN PERBEDAAN UNSUR LOGAM BENDA-BENDA PERUNGGU SUMATERA BAGIAN UTARA DENGAN BENDA-BENDA PERUNGGU JAWA TENGAH: ANTARA KEMANDIRIAN TEKNIS DAN PEMENUHAN KONSEP
When India culture introduce to Indonesia Archipelago, some changes were happen in its native culture. One of India influence was its religion i.e. Hinduism and Buddhism. Both religion then resemblance in material culture such as sacred building (temple), rites utensils (statue, bell, monk stick finial, etc.), or inscription. One of its material source to made those things is bronze. When Indian culture was introduced, the natives weren’t take it for granted adopt Indian concept for producing bronze things. By XRF analysis, known that bronze artifacts from Northern Sumatra and Java aren’t adopt concept from India traditions i.e. astadhatu and pancaloha. Indian influence on bronze artifacts from Northern Sumatra and Java can see on fullfilness of religion concept, especially on statues. It seen on the choosing of special metals as dominan elements for bronze statue construction. This study reveals some of similarities and diverences in construction elements between Northern Sumatra and Java bronze artifacts
EKSPLORASI DATA ARKEOLOGI DI KAWASAN LERENG TIMUR GUNUNG MERAPI KABUPATEN BOYOLALI, JAWA TENGAH
Boyolali District geographic area covers the eastern slopes of Mount Merapi (and Merbabu). In the archaeological area is very important as an area that holds relics of archaeological data with a fairly long time span. On the other hand, concern over this region has not been for the region south and west slopes are academically have contributed information and past knowledge of the Indonesian people, especially from the classical period (eighth century - XM), Islamic period (beginning of the sixteenth century AD), until colonial period (about XVII century - beginning of XX century AD). Therefore it was not excessive if the research activities through archaeological exploration in the eastern slopes of Mount Merapai is a momentum to the rise of attention to archaeological data in the region, to contribute information and knowledge within the framework of ideological development, the development of scientific value, as well as the approaches to extracting value -economic value
POLA HIDUP KOMUNITAS GUA HUNIAN PRASEJARAH KAWASAN KARST BLORA
Blora limestone region is an important area where several prehistoric sites, occupied continuously during the Late Pleistocene to Early Holocene, are discovered. The Pleistocene sites are found in the southeast part of the Blora regency and the ear1y Holocene sites are located in the District of Todanan, in the western part of the regency. One of the most interesting sites situated in this area is the Kidang cave. It is the only limestone cave which shows traces of human occupation in this area. This paper will discuss about the possible adaptation as well as occupation patterns in Kidang Cave
