KAJIAN 'ARKEOLOGI SITUS MASA SEJARAH' DI LASEM: PERGESERAN PUSAT KEGIATAN
In Babad Lasem, a shift in the center of activity was recorded, which was marked by the transfer of the palace from Kriyan to Bonang-Binangun and finally to Colegawan. Two central locations of activity, namely Bonang-Binangun and Colagawan, occurred during the growing influence of Islam in the northern coastal areas of Central Java and East Java. The two central locations for these activities are in the coastal area, namely in Bonang-Binangun and Caruban. It is possible to move the location of the center of activity to the coastal area due to the increasingly busy trade during the emergence of Demak as an Islamic kingdom in the coastal area
ARKEOLOGI PEMUKIMAN: TITIK STRATEGIS DAN BEBERAPA PARADIGMA
The relationship between humans and space is one of the many human relations studied by anthropologists. In relation to archaeological studies, the form of this relationship is evident in human settlements and the patterns they produce, whether consciously or not. Settlement patterns are an embodiment (expression) of the human conception of space, and are the result of human efforts to change and utilize their physical environment based on their views and knowledge about the environment
SITUS GILIMANUK (BALI) SEBAGAI PILIHAN LOKASI PENGUBURAN PADA AWAL MASEHI
Observations on the context of burials, in general, are a human skeleton associated with burial goods in the form of net-stamped potteries. In addition, the collection of other burial items found in the context of the tomb are beads (glass, shells, rocks), pots, cups, bowls, incense, jars, tajak, machete, eye and mouth masks, earrings, bracelets (glass, terracotta, bronze, shells), pentagonal plates, and animal remains (chickens, dogs, and pigs). All of the above burial goods are found in both childhood, adult and male and female burials
GEOGRAFI (KESEJARAHAN) DAN ARSITEKTUR (LANSEKAP) SEBAGAI ILMU BANTU ARKEOLOGI (SEBUAH URAIAN SINGKAT)
In its long journey, archeology as a science has long since left artifact-oriented studies (including features and ecofacts) oriented. The three of them are no longer seen as individual data that must be studied individually, but are seen as part of the overall archaeological data in a certain spatial scale. This does not mean that artifacts, features, ecofacts, no longer need to be studied individually, but this study is the beginning of the totality of archaeological research. Furthermore, it is developed, by taking into account the matrix, location and context, it is also necessary to pay attention to environmental and spatial conditions at a certain scale: from micro to regional, or more broadly
BANGKAI PERAHU SITUS UJUNG PLANCU, JAMBI
During the rescue excavation at the Ujung Plancu site in August 1994, the remains of an old boat were successfully recovered. Only two of the six planks were still visible in 1984. In accordance with the objectives of the activity, these remains are now in the conservation basin of the Jambi SPSP office in Jambi. This will be conveyed in this paper regarding the placement of these remains in the history of Indonesian boat building techniques. The following artilce is describing about this
DISTRIBUSI SPASIAL DAN TIPOLOGI SUMUR KUNA DI DATARAN ALUVIAL PRAMBANAN: Distribusi Spasial dan Tipologi Sumur Kuno di Dataran Aluvial Prambanan
The cultural potential of the classical period (Ancient Mataram) in the Yogyakarta and Central Java regions can be seen from the dense distribution of existing temples. Apart from the temple, there is data on ancient wells in situ as a marker of the existence of classical period settlements in the Prambanan Alluvial Plain area. The ancient wells found have quite high variations, so they require classification using a scoring method (weighting and grading). The typology of ancient wells are determined by using the criteria of strong and weak classical characteristics that appear in each well variable. The results of the calculation of the typology of ancient wells are classified into 3 types (Type 1, Type 2 and Type 3). In terms of location, the location of the ancient wells was processed into a two-dimensional map using a Geographic Information System (GIS), to show the spatial distribution in the research area. This approach proves the similarity and continuity of residential areas from the 9th century AD until now. This evidence also confirms that environmental resources in the Prambanan Alluvial Plain, especially groundwater potential, have not experienced significant changes over the period.
This article will discuss exogamous marriage in the case study of Gunapriyadharmapatni and Dharma Udayana Warmadewa. It is consider as exogamous marriage because Gunapriyadharmapatni whose first name is Mahendradata comes from the clan/lsana dynasty (East Java), while Dharma Udayana Warmadewa comes from the clan/Warmadewa dynasty in Bali. In ancient history it was stated that the marriage of Gunapriyadharmapatni and Dharma Udayana Warmadewa had three sons, Erlangga, Marakata, and Anak Wungsu. Thus, their sons held reign of monarchy in Old Bali era (heirs). The data sources used in this article are inscriptions published around the X-IX CE, as well as several ancient manuscripts such as Negarakertagama, Pararaton, and Calon Arang
EMAS DAN TANAH: KASUS PENGUASAAN SUMBER-SUMBER EKONOMI DI SUMATERA DAN JAWA PADA ABAD VII-X MASEHI (KAJIAN PRASASTI-PRASASTI MASA SRIWIJAYA DAN MATARAM KUNA)
Inscriptions are sources of past history written on stone or metal. Most of these inscriptions were issued by order of kings or rulers, generally containing the number of years, lists of high royal officials, construction of holy buildings, establishment of perdikan (sima), religions, curses, court decisions, social organizations and religious organizations. As the ruling medium, inscriptions were used to announce the regulations, powers and decisions of the rulers relating to the political-economic interests of the rulers at that time. The subject matter in this paper is, to what extent the inscriptions as the media for the rulers convey and imply the policies of the rulers in political-economic interests at that time? Are there transparent differences in the strategy of control and regulation of economic resources, of the two civilizations that have different economic resources? From the comparison of the contents of the Srivijaya era inscriptions (VII century AD) and Old Mataram inscriptions (IX-X century AD), it appears that there are differences in the way of controlling the economic resources of the two kingdoms
PRASASTI TULANG ER 198 SANJAYA
The inscription is a source of written history which provides a lot of information about the structure of the bureaucracy, economy, topography, settlement and also about the problems of ancient Indonesian society and their activities. Based on the data collected, hundreds of inscriptions use the Caka year and only four inscriptions use the Sanjaya year. One of the inscriptions has Sanjaya year, namely the Tulang Er 198 Sanjaya inscription. The inscription which is now kept at the National Museum has not been discussed much. Basically, this inscription does not change the theory or reconstruction of existing history. However, the existence of this inscription can in fact complement existing historical writing. The Sanjaya year, is no longer only a complement to the dates that have been used in Indonesia, but is also evidence that during the reign of Balitung-Daksha there was a conflict within the palace in order to fight for the royal throne. This paper also contains a transcription of the Tulang Er 198 Sanjaya inscription
