SAPATHA DALAM RELASI KUASA DAN PENDISIPLINAN PADA MASYARAKAT BALI KUNO ABAD IX-XIV MASEHI
Abstract
Inscription is a written record which contains regulation or law and should be obeyed by officers or functionaries and community in general. Sapatha or curse was normally written at the end of the inscription which states the punishment for those who objected the regulations or laws. People punished morally if they objected the regulations or law include seven times to be reincarnated and surfering in all their lives. Sapatha or curse was seen as a discourse in relation of power and knowledge of the kings who reigned in the Old Balinese period. This article explores the sapatha or curse in Old Balinese inscriptions dated from the IX up to XIV century. The aim of this article is to describe the relationship of power and knowledge, as well as discipline and punishment in ancient Bali. Data was gained through documentary studies and interpreted hermeneutically. Theories of ideology, knowledge and power, as well as discipline and punishment will be applied in this article
TEMUAN RANGKA MANUSIA AUSTRONESIA DI PANTURA JAWA TENGAH: €ŒSEBUAH KAJIAN AWAL"
Preliminary research in Lasem, Sluke and Kragan Districts, Rembang Regency, Central Java has been conducted in late 2012. The first problem in this study is to reviewing the Prehistoric Burials Site at North Beach area (PANTURA) of Rembang Regency. The objective is to seek possibility of discovering several prehistoric grave sites along the coast between Kragan and Lasem Districts. By surveying the surface along the coast, was found a few locations that are identified as prehistoric grave site such in the village of Leran, Sluke District and village of Binangun, Lasem District. Based on the survey results followed by excavation to learn more about the grave sites, especially the skeleton that was buried as the main data of this research. The skeleton findings those are typical of the Austronesian culture. This finding is significant data. Even in terms of paleoanthropological study known about tooth modification in some individuals, both of which are found on Binangun and Leran. Modified forms of the teeth look likes jasmine flower buds have never been found anywhere else in Indonesia
SITUS WOTANNGARE-BOJONEGORO: NILAI PENTING DAN PENGEMBANGANNYA
Wotanngare site is believed to be the former Kingdom of Malawapati (Mlawatan Site) as well as the palace of King Anglingdarma. By local community, King Anglingdarma is a legendary and heroic figure for Bojonegoro society. This is supported by the toponym, toponyms related to Anglingdarma such as Budhug Village, Tibong Land, Kedhung Gandhu, Pathak Kedhung Buto, and Mount Pegat. Based on the results of the research carried out Balai Arkeologi Yogyakarta, Wotanngare Site in Bojonegoro regency is a settlement site Majapahit period. The archeological as well as the legend significance would be combined to contribute academically to the Bojonegoro community
