Three human remains (Homo sapiens) have been found in Gua Kidang (Kidang cave). This brings a new contribution to the burial system that is already known among prehistoric man in Holocene era. The third human remain has not been fully unearthed yet. But the anatomical position of the body indicates a primary burial. Although the three human remains werw found in different layer, but they laid closed to each other. This condition leads to the questions, i.e. was Gua Kidang occupied by people with different racial and cultural background? Did the people do different burial system? The result shows that teeth can be used to determine dental wear. This paper will explain the way of life of the human remains viewed from “the religious†aspects. In addition, based on the stratigraphic position of the study Geoarchaeology

PEMETAAN SEBARAN BATUAN PENYUSUN PAGAR CANDI DI SITUS CANDI LOSARI DUSUN LOSARI, DESA SALAM, KECAMATAN SALAM, KABUPATEN MAGELANG BERDASARKAN METODE MAGNETIK
Mapping geophysics research was conducted by geomagnetic method to know anomaly pattern of magnetic pole and to know distribution location and depth of temple gate composing stone in Losari Temple Site by using magnetic data. Data collection used Proton Precessions Magnetometer (PPM) G-856AX by area width of 88 km x 40 km and measurement space of 3 meter used looping method. Field data was corrected by daily variation and IGRF (International Geomagnetics Reference Field) correction and then reduction to pole. The slice modeling was conducted on local anomaly map on height of 6 meter. The result of the local magnetic field anomalies incision then interpolated to get an idea of the spread and depth of rocks making up the fence Losari temple. Local anomaly map shows that anomaly position lies in southwest, southeast, and northeast from main temple. Based from interpolated distribution of magnetic pole anomaly is dominated in depth of 2 meter to 4 meter
TEKNOLOGI GERABAH SITUS RANU BETHOK DAN RANU GRATI: SEBUAH KAJIAN BERDASARKAN ANALISIS PETROGRAFI
Petrographic analysis is able to explain about the technology of pottery making, where the pottery come from and how to the pottery spread out. Petrographic analysis of sherds found either from the surface survey and excavations in the region of Bethok and Grati Lakes, can indicate whether the pottery found at the sites above have similar elements with the pottery marketed in the local market nowadays?. Based on the results of petrographic analysis can be concluded that the fragments of pottery found at both sites above have similar material elements of pottery now found in the local markets. Thus since long time ago pottery marketing from Besuk village production have reached the regional Tiris market within about 50 Km. Similarly, the pottery artefacts found at the Grati Lake are assumed to have originated from Keraton village production around 50 Km from the site
DARI PIAGAM MENJADI RELIK: PERGESERAN PEMAKNAAN PRASASTI YANG TERSIMPAN DI DALAM PURA-PURA DI KAWASAN DANAU BATUR, BALI
Villages around Lake Batur, Bangli District, Bali Province have many inscriptions kept in their puras. The inscriptions have been experiencing a transformation of significance which is very different from the original meaning and function of an inscription. This article is meant to reveal the process of transformation of the inscriptions kept in the temples in the vicinity of Lake Batur. Based on the results of field observations and literature studies have been known that there are ancient inscriptions kept in at least five temples in the villages around Lake Batur. The inscriptions contain a very significant historical and socio-cultural data about local history. However, historians and archaeologist are very difficult to access the data. There has been a change of how the community sees the significance of an inscription, shifting from a charter to a very sacred relic. Such changes must be addressed wisely by the researchers and the community as the owner and "keeper" of such inscriptions. The shift of meaning is indeed as a naturally cultural process. It is, however, I expect that the historical data contained in the inscription can still be accessed and used academically to reconstruct the history and community identity in the region

GUA-GUA HUNIAN PRASEJARAH DI PULAU ROTE, INDONESIA TIMUR
This article is written based on the results of several archaeological investigations carried out by the National Research and Development Centre of Archaeology in prehistoric caves, in the Rotendao Regency on the Island of Rote, the Province of East Nusa Tenggara between 2006 - 2009. The investigations were focused on Mbia Hudale, Bafak, and Bote caves which are assumed to have prolific archaeological remains. Excavations on these caves reveal traces of human occupation dated back to Late Pleistocene - Holocene epoch. This is evident in the abundance of cultural remains found in these sites, such as plain and decorated potteries, mollusk shells, jewelry (beads) made of shell, lithic stone flakes and blades, as well as faunal remains. Not a single human bone was found during the excavations. Furthermore, archaeological surveys conducted in this area have identified 18 potential caves and rockshelters, as well as a Palaeolithic opensite which are scattered within 8 districts. The results of the researches suggest that prehistoric caves in the Island of Rote are potential and prospective in illuminating prehistoric human migration and cultural processes that took place in the eastern part of Indonesia during Late Pleistocene until Holocene epoch
