    Social-emotional development is the process by which children learn to interact appropriately according to social norms and manage their emotions. The Snakes and Ladders game serves as effective learning media to develop children's social-emotional skills while enhancing learning motivation and social interaction. This study aims to determine whether the Snakes and Ladders game can develop social-emotional skills in children at PAUD Terpadu Restu, Persiapan Tiang Bendera Village, Huamual Belakang District, West Seram Regency. This research employed classroom action research methodology conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection phases. The study involved 12 children (5 girls and 7 boys) at PAUD Terpadu Restu. Results showed significant improvement in children's social-emotional development through the Snakes and Ladders game. In Cycle I, assessment results showed: Very Well Developed (BSB) 8.3%, Well Developed (BSH) 8.3%, Developing (MB) 50%, and Not Yet Developed (BB) 33%. In Cycle II, results improved dramatically to: BSB 75%, BSH 16%, MB 8.3%, and BB 0%. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Snakes and Ladders game effectively develops social-emotional skills in children at PAUD Terpadu Restu for the 2025 academic year

    This study investigates the effectiveness of the Deep Learning approach combined with the Mind Mapping strategy in enhancing the motivation and mastery of basic vocabulary among 8th-grade students at UPT SMP Negeri 2 Galesong Selatan. Limited understanding of essential English vocabulary was identified as a critical issue in the target class. The theoretical framework guiding this research is Allan Paivio’s Dual-Coding Theory, which posits that processing information through both verbal and visual channels significantly improves memory retention. Employing a qualitative case study design, the research utilized pretest and posttest data as the primary evaluation instruments. The results demonstrate a substantial increase in students' vocabulary mastery following the intervention. The average pretest score of 40.0 rose considerably in the posttest, particularly in categories like Body Parts, which showed a remarkable increase from 9 points to 189 points. This improvement confirms that the integration of the Deep Learning approach and Mind Mapping strategy effectively fosters a learning experience that is meaningful, mindful, and joyful (Meaningful, Mindful, Joyful Learning), thereby supporting deeper and more robust vocabulary acquisition

    Speaking ability is one of the essential language skills in Indonesian language learning; however, in practice, students’ speaking ability remains relatively low due to a lack of confidence, fluency, and active participation in the learning process. This problem was also found among eighth-grade students of SMPN 3 Natar, South Lampung, who demonstrated limited participation and difficulty in expressing ideas orally. This study aimed to improve students’ speaking ability through the implementation of cooperative learning strategies. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were eighth-grade students of SMPN 3 Natar, South Lampung. Data were collected through speaking ability tests, observations of students’ and teachers’ activities, and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques to identify improvements in students’ speaking ability in each cycle. The results showed that the application of cooperative learning strategies significantly improved students’ speaking ability, as indicated by increased confidence in speaking, fluency, clarity in expressing ideas, accuracy of pronunciation, and vocabulary mastery from the pre-cycle to Cycle II. Therefore, cooperative learning strategies are effective in enhancing students’ speaking ability in Indonesian language learning

    Mathematics learning in elementary schools is often hampered by students' difficulty understanding non-concrete concepts. This situation requires the use of more diverse and interactive learning aids, one of which is PhET Simulation. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of PhET Simulation in influencing students' mathematics learning outcomes at the elementary school level. The method used was a literature study using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach to relevant scientific articles published in the last five years. The findings of this study indicate that the use of PhET Simulation has a positive influence on the development of students' learning outcomes and understanding of mathematical concepts. In addition, the use of this media can also increase student participation and learning interest during the teaching process. Therefore, PhET Simulation can be an alternative choice of effective learning media to support mathematics learning in elementary schools

    This research was motivated by the low listening skills of students in folklore lessons in Indonesian Language subject at grad VB of SDN 004 Salo. One solution to overcome this problem is by applying the Storytelling learning model assisted by Pop-Up Book media. The purpose of this study is to improve students’ listening skills in folklore learing in Indonesian Language subject. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of two meetings and four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research was carried out in August 2025. The subjects of this study were 14 fifth-grade students consisting of 8 boys dan 6 grils. Data collection techniques included observation, written tests, and documentation. Before the action was taken, the students’ listening skills in folklore were 29%. In cycle I meeting I, itu increased to 36%, and in cycle I metting II, it further increased to 43%. In cycle II meeting I, it rose to 57%, and in cycle II meeting II, it reached 86%. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of the Storytelling learning model assisted by Pop-Up Book media can improve students’ listening skills in folklore in the Indonesian Language subject at SDN 004 Salo

    This study aims to determine the emotional intelligence profile of young adult women who grew up without a father. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to gain an in-depth understanding of the emotional experiences of the participants. There were ten participants, all young adult women who grew up without a father. Data collection was conducted through observation and semi-structured interviews. Data analysis used the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the participants' emotional intelligence was still developing and was greatly influenced by their life experiences without a father. An unstable childhood also contributed to different emotional adaptations in each participant. The participants' emotional intelligence showed positive development, but had not yet reached the ideal level. This fatherless condition presented emotional challenges that shaped the participants' adaptive abilities in early adulthood.   &nbsp

    Program Adiwiyata di SD Negeri 37 Pangkalpinang yang telah dilaksanakan sejak tahun 2018. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan Model Scriven dengan menitikberatkan pada penilaian keberhargaan dan kebermaknaan program berdasarkan kondisi nyata di lapangan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi lingkungan sekolah, wawancara dengan kepala sekolah dan warga sekolah, telaah dokumen program, serta analisis sarana pendukung lingkungan seperti greenhouse, taman sekolah, dan bank sampah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Program Adiwiyata telah diimplementasikan dengan baik, ditunjang oleh kebijakan sekolah yang berwawasan lingkungan, partisipasi aktif warga sekolah, serta ketersediaan fasilitas ramah lingkungan. Implementasi program tersebut berdampak pada terbentuknya perilaku peduli lingkungan di kalangan siswa dan diperkuat dengan pencapaian sebagai Sekolah Adiwiyata Nasional. Meskipun demikian, masih terdapat beberapa aspek yang perlu ditingkatkan, terutama konsistensi perilaku peduli lingkungan siswa, optimalisasi pemanfaatan fasilitas kompos, serta integrasi pembelajaran berbasis lingkungan ke dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas. Secara keseluruhan, Program Adiwiyata di SD Negeri 37 Pangkalpinang memiliki tingkat keberhasilan yang tinggi dan berpotensi untuk ditingkatkan menuju Adiwiyata Mandiri melalui penguatan strategi keberlanjutan dan monitoring secara berkala

    This study evaluates the effectiveness of implementing Smart Box media to improve learning outcomes in Civics Education (PPKn) for 2nd-grade elementary school students, in the context of the low level of civic understanding in Indonesia and the need for innovation in interactive learning media. Adopting a quantitative method through a pure experimental design, the research was conducted at UPT SDN 220 Gresik involving 40 students (20 in the experimental group and 20 in the control group). The experimental group received learning interventions based on Smart Box media, while the control group used traditional approaches. Data collection was conducted through pretests and posttests, then analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, and N-Gain analysis. The normality test findings indicated a non-normal data distribution, leading to the application of non-parametric tests. The results of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test showed a significant increase (p = 0.000) in the experimental group, with most students demonstrating progress in mastering Pancasila material. This study concluded that the Smart Box media is proven effective in improving Civics learning outcomes, as well as providing practical benefits for educators and students in creating an engaging and efficient learning process

    This study aims to examine the role of parents in enhancing children’s obedience to Allah through discipline in performing obligatory prayers (shalat fardhu) in Kurao Pagang Village. The research employed a qualitative field research approach with a descriptive design to explore religious practices within the family environment. The research subjects were parents with elementary school–aged children. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted inductively through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured using source and technique triangulation.The findings indicate that parents play a significant role in fostering children’s obedience in performing obligatory prayers. Open and persuasive communication, accompanied by consistent parental role modeling, serves as a key factor in shaping children’s religious awareness. Parents apply various educational methods, including exemplary behavior (uswah hasanah), habituation, positive reinforcement, emotional approaches, and disciplined supervision adjusted to the child’s age and character. However, several challenges were identified, such as children’s laziness, low spiritual awareness, negative influences of digital media, limited parental time, and unsupportive peer environments. Despite these obstacles, parents continue to demonstrate adaptive efforts and collaborate with social and religious figures to overcome these challenges. The study concludes that effective parental involvement within the family is essential in developing children’s discipline and consistency in performing obligatory prayers

    This study aims to analyze teacher readiness, challenges, and the impact of implementing the Merdeka Curriculum with a Deep Learning approach at UPTD SD Inpres Oesapa. The method used is descriptive quantitative, with data collected through questionnaires and interviews involving 10 teachers and 20 students. The key findings indicate that teacher readiness is in the good category (82%), challenges faced are relatively low (46.2%), and the implementation impact is rated very high (90.2%). Students also experienced positive impacts, with improvements in independence, conceptual understanding, and learning motivation reaching 74.4%. These results indicate that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum with a Deep Learning approach is effective, although further mentoring in project-based learning planning and provision of supporting facilities is still needed
