    PENGARUH PROBLEM BASED LEARNING DAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA

    This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model and learning motivation on students' mathematics learning outcomes. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a nonequivalent control group design. The subjects consisted of an experimental class implementing the PBL model and a control class using conventional learning. Data on mathematics learning outcomes were obtained through written tests, while data on learning motivation were collected through questionnaires. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, including normality tests, homogeneity tests, and two-way ANOVA. The results showed that the Problem-Based Learning model significantly influenced students' mathematics learning outcomes. Furthermore, learning motivation also positively influenced mathematics learning outcomes. There was an interaction between the PBL model and learning motivation in improving students' mathematics learning outcomes. Therefore, the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning model is recommended to improve the quality of mathematics learning in schools

    PENGARUH MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS DIGITAL TERHADAP MINAT BELAJAR SISWA DI MI AL-KIFAYAH PEKANBARU

    The development of digital technology has driven significant changes in learning practices in elementary schools, including Islamic elementary schools (madrasah ibtidaiyah). Digital-based learning media is seen as an innovation with the potential to increase student learning interest through interactive, visual, and contextual presentation of materials. This study aims to analyze the influence of digital-based learning media on student learning interest at MI Al-Kifayah Pekanbaru. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method. The sample consisted of fourth and fifth grade students selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through a learning interest questionnaire and a digital learning media usage questionnaire, which were tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using a simple linear regression test with statistical software. The results showed that digital-based learning media had a positive and significant effect on student learning interest. This finding suggests that the more optimal the use of digital learning media, the higher the students' learning interest. This research is expected to provide practical contributions for teachers and schools in developing effective digital-based learning strategies that are appropriate to the characteristics of Islamic elementary school students

    PENGEMBANGAN KREATIVITAS SISWA MELALUI MEDIA SENI RUPA KOLASE WAJAH BERBAHAN ALAM

    This research aims to describe the development of student creativity through natural material face collage art media. Student creativity is an important aspect of learning in primary schools because it plays a role in forming critical thinking, innovation, and self-expression abilities. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through literature study from various scientific sources related to art and student creativity. The results show that the use of natural material collage media, such as leaves, flowers, and twigs, is able to foster students' ingenuity and aesthetic sensitivity. This activity not only hones fine motor skills and a sense of environmental responsibility but also cultivates imagination, originality, and problem-solving abilities. Furthermore, the collage-making process provides a meaningful learning experience through the exploration of natural materials easily found in the students' surroundings. Thus, art learning based on natural material collage becomes an effective alternative for increasing primary school students' creativity and environmental awareness. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengembangan kreativitas siswa melalui media seni rupa kolase wajah berbahan alam. Kreativitas siswa menjadi aspek penting dalam pembelajaran di sekolah dasar karena berperan dalam membentuk kemampuan berpikir kritis, berinovasi, dan mengekspresikan diri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi literatur dari berbagai sumber ilmiah terkait seni rupa dan kreativitas siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media kolase berbahan alam, seperti daun, bunga, dan ranting, mampu menumbuhkan daya cipta dan kepekaan estetika siswa. Aktivitas ini tidak hanya mengasah keterampilan motorik halus dan rasa tanggung jawab terhadap lingkungan, tetapi juga menumbuhkan imajinasi, orisinalitas, dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Selain itu, proses pembuatan kolase menghadirkan pengalaman belajar bermakna melalui eksplorasi bahan alami yang mudah ditemukan di sekitar siswa.     This study aims to examine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Blooket media on elementary school students’ mathematical critical thinking skills. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi- experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The population consisted of all fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 27/IX Sebapo in the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic year, totaling 45 students. The sample was divided into two classes: class VA as the experimental group and class VB as the control group. Data were collected through a mathematical critical thinking skills test administered in the form of pretest and posttest. The data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and an independent sample t-test. The results indicate a significant difference in mathematical critical thinking skills between students taught using the PBL model assisted by Blooket media and those taught using conventional learning methods. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Blooket media has a positive effect on elementary school students’ mathematical critical thinking skills

    The 15-minute reading activity before classroom instruction is an effort to improve reading interest and literacy skills among elementary school students. This study aims to describe the implementation and impact of the 15-minute reading activity before learning sessions at SDN Kedungbanteng 2. A descriptive qualitative method was employed using observation and brief reflection techniques. The research subjects included students from grades 1 to 6, accompanied by community service (KKN) students. The results indicate that the 15-minute reading activity effectively increases students’ reading interest, reading habits, and reading comprehension. In addition, the activity creates a more conducive classroom atmosphere and enhances students’ readiness for learning. Consistent reading habituation contributes to the development of a school literacy culture and positive character traits, such as discipline, focus, and responsibility. Therefore, the 15-minute reading activity is effective and relevant as part of the implementation of the School Literacy Movement in elementary schools. &nbsp

    PENGEMBANGAN SISTEM PAKAR PERENCANAAN KARIER SISWA DENGAN METODE FORWARD CHAINING DI SMK NEGERI 2 PADANG PANJANG

    Career planning is an important aspect of vocational education to prepare students for the workforce. At SMKN 2 Padang Panjang, career guidance is still conducted manually using conventional questionnaires, which is considered inefficient, especially given the limited number of guidance and counseling (BK) teachers. This research aims to develop a web-based expert system for career planning using the forward chaining method to provide career recommendations tailored to students' interests and talents. The study employs the Research and Development (R&D) model and an Agile-based SDLC software development methodology. The system is built using the Laravel framework and tested through alpha testing and beta testing involving experts and end-users. The test results demonstrate that the system can provide relevant career recommendations, accelerate the guidance process, and improve the accuracy and efficiency of counseling services, with a system validity of 97.96%, practicality validity of 93.85%, and validation by field respondents of 96.67%. This system also assists BK teachers in managing student data and reducing administrative workloads. In conclusion, the development of this expert system contributes to the digitization of career guidance services in vocational schools and serves as an effective and adaptive alternative solution to meet students' needs in the digital era

    PENGARUH EKSTRAKURIKULER PRAMUKA DALAM PEMBENTUKAN SOCIAL SKILL PADA PESERTA DIDIK DI SMA NEGERI 1 INDRALAYA UTARA

    This study aims to examine the influence of Scout extracurricular activities on the development of students’ social skill at SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara. The social skill referred to in this study include verbal and nonverbal communication, building positive relationships, teamwork, constructive problem-solving, empathy, and effective relationship management. This research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation. The population of this study consisted of all students participating in Scout activities, totaling 281 students. However, the sample included only 40 students, consisting of Dewan Ambalan members and students who actively participated in Scout activities. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression, which indicated that Scout extracurricular activities have a positive and significant effect on the development of students’ social skill. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.403 or 40.3%, meaning that 40.3% of the development of students’ social skill can be explained by their involvement in Scout extracurricular activities, while the remaining 59.7% is influenced by other factors.These findings indicate that Scout activities, through programs such as semaphore practice, Morse code activities, camping, pioneering (knot-tying), and routine training sessions, contribute to the development of students’ social skill

    This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach that aims to describe the positive and negative language politeness strategies used by students when communicating with lecturers in TikTok content creator @dosentraveler. The data sources in this study are twenty-eight contents from TikTok creator @dosentraveler published in 2024 to 2025. The results of this study indicate that students use fifteen positive language politeness strategies from Brown and Levinson's theory, some of which are predominantly used, namely paying attention to the likes, desires, and needs of the interlocutor, showing speech that has the same perception as the interlocutor, showing the speaker's understanding of the interlocutor's desires, and giving gifts. Meanwhile, students also use ten negative language politeness strategies from Brown and Levinson's theory, some of which are predominantly used, namely minimizing coercion and giving respect

    This study examines branding management at At-Taubah Integrated Islamic Elementary School in Batam through the 7P Marketing Mix framework, including Product, Price, Place, Promotion, People, Process, and Physical Evidence. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, involving the school principal, educators, students, and parents. The findings reveal that school branding is a strategic and integrated process supported by flagship programs, credible leadership, high-quality educational services, and the internalization of Islamic values. Flagship programs such as Qur’an memorization (Tahfiz Al-Qur’an), Islamic character education, digital learning, and bilingual instruction serve as key differentiators in strengthening institutional identity. This branding management significantly contributes to enhancing reputation, competitiveness, and public trust

    Code mixing and code switching are increasingly prevalent phenomena in audiovisual media, particularly in short films that depict the communication patterns of young people in bilingual environments. This study aims to analyze the forms, types, and functions of code mixing and code switching found in the dialogue of the short film Centang Biru. The research problem focuses on how language mixing and switching are employed in the film’s dialogue, as well as the contextual and functional aspects underlying their use. This study adopts a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation and note-taking by repeatedly examining the film’s dialogue. The analysis process involves transcribing the dialogue, classifying instances of code mixing and code switching, and interpreting their functions based on the context of utterance. The findings reveal 13 instances of language alternation, consisting of 6 cases of external code switching and 8 instances of code mixing in the form of words, phrases, clauses, and repetition. Code mixing most frequently appears at the word and phrase levels, while code switching occurs through complete shifts between Indonesian and English. The results indicate that code mixing serves to enhance expression and social intimacy, whereas code switching functions to emphasize meaning and convey deeper emotional expression.
