Kesalahpahaman Barat tentang Perempuan Muslim: Kritik Lila Abu- Lughod dalam Do Muslim Women Need Saving?
Kalangan Barat menganggap bahwa persoalan keterbatasan hak perempuan Muslim masih sering terjadi. Persoalan tata cara berpakaian, kejahatan kehormatan dan lainnya dianggap sebagai batasan-batasan bagi seorang Muslim. Anggapan tersebut memicu pesan bahwa “perempuan muslim perlu diselamatkan”. Lila Abu-Lughod melalui karyanya “Do Women Muslim Need Saving” mencoba untuk mengkiritisi anggapan ini. Tulisan ini menggunakan metode kepustakaan. Sumber data berupa buku dan jurnal yang berkaitan dengan feminisme dan buku karya Lila Abu Lughod yang berjudul “Do Women Muslim Need Saving?”. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perlu pengkajian ulang mengenai asumsi Barat terhadap Islam khususnya perempuan Muslim. Perempuan Muslim menjalankan aktifitasnya sesuai dengan apa yang diyakini. Segala ketidakadilan yang menimpa perempuan Muslim pada dasarnya merupakan kasus yang berlaku secara global kepada siapa saja tidak hanya perempuan yang beragama Islam. Apabila terdapat ketidakadilan maka hal tersebut bukanlah datang dari Agama Islam melainkan pada tatanan sosial, budaya, kebijakan Pemerintah dan lain sebagainya. Karena di dalam Islam, hak-hak seorang Muslim telah dijamin tanpa membedakan baik laki-laki ataupun perempuan.
[Westerners think that the issue of limited Muslim women\u27s rights still occurs frequently. For example, the issue of dress codes, honor crimes and others. This assumption triggers the message that "Muslim women need to be saved". Lila Abu-Lughod through her work “Do Women Muslim Need Saving” tries to criticize it. This paper uses the library method. The data sources are books and journals related to feminism and a book by Lila Abu Lughod entitled “Do Women Muslims Need Saving?”. The results obtained indicate that there is a need to review Western assumptions about Islam, especially regarding Muslim women. Muslim women carry out their activities in accordance with what is believed. All injustices that befell Muslim women are basically cases that apply globally to anyone, not only women who are Muslim. If there is injustice then it does not come from religion but social conditions, government and so on. Because in Islam, rights are guaranteed regardless of whether men or women.
Tradisi Jamasan Pusaka Pada Bulan Suro: Penggabungan Nilai Budaya Jawa dan Ajaran Agama Islam
The jamasan heirloom tradition or what is usually called the keris washing tradition is a growing tradition and is found in many areas, especially the island of Java. Jamasan heirloom is a tradition or ritual carried out on the night of the month of Suro, the aim of which is none other than to obtain safety, avoid disaster, ask for forgiveness and other religious matters. This research aims to find out what meaning is actually contained in this jamasan heirloom tradition, and the relationship between the keris and religion. This research uses a qualitative research method with Murray Edelman\u27s framing analysis approach. The theory used in this research is the theory of the soul. The theory of the soul has an important role and is closely related to human beliefs regarding spiritual values. The results of the framing analysis of the content that discusses the heirloom jamasan tradition in the month of Suro is the tradition of washing or bathing heirloom objects using lime juice which is done every Suro month solely to clean the keris or heirloom objects from dirt. In the current era, people still carry out this tradition only to preserve a culture, there are no mystical or other religious elements. But apparently, there are still some people today who carry out this tradition for reasons of belief and an effort to leave behind the bad things from the previous year.
[Tradisi Jamasan pusaka atau biasa disebut tradisi mencuci keris merupakan tradisi yang berkembang dan banyak ditemukan di daerah khususnya pulau Jawa. Jamasan pusaka merupakan tradisi atau ritual yang dilakukan pada malam bulan Suro, tujuannya tidak lain adalah untuk mendapatkan keselamatan, menghindarkan malapetaka, meminta ampun dan hal-hal berbau agamis lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui makna apa yang sebenarnya terkandung dalam tradisi jamasan pusaka ini dan kaitannya keris dengan agama. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis framing milik Murray Edelman. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori jiwa. Teori jiwa memiliki peranan yang penting dan memiliki hubungan yang erat dengan keyakinan-keyakinan manusia mengenai nilai spiritual. Hasil analisis framing pada konten yang membahas tradisi jamasan pusaka pada bulan Suro ini adalah tradisi mencuci atau memandikan benda pusaka menggunakan perasan air jeruk nipis yang dilakukan setiap bulan Suro semata-mata hanya untuk membersihkan keris atau benda pusaka dari kotoran. Pada era saat ini, masyarakat yang masih melakukan tradisi ini hanya untuk melestarikan sebuah budaya, tidak ada unsur hal-hal mistis atau religius lainnya. Namun, masih terdapat juga beberapa masyarakat zaman sekarang melakukan tradisi ini sebab alasan kepercayaan dan upaya untuk meninggalkan hal buruk dari tahun sebelumnya.
Potensi Dasar Manusia dalam Al-Quran dan Relevansinya dengan Skill Competence Building
Humans are special beings with many fascinating aspects to study. The essence of humanity is difficult to fully comprehend because it encompasses various dimensions. When one dimension is understood, another unexplored dimension emerges. This writing is motivated by a lack of awareness of human potential from an interpretive perspective, which has caused the direction of skill competence building to deviate from its natural path. Skill competence building, which should be a means of developing human potential, often fails to achieve its goals. One indication of this is the orientation of knowledge in competence building. This research is qualitative with a descriptive-analytical approach to describe and analyze skill competence building based on human potential from the perspective of tafsir maudu’i. The object of this study is humans, who act as both the object and subject of human potential. The results of this study are: 1) Skill building is the realization of human potential to develop and transform divine and human values, equipping students with productive abilities so they can function and develop according to the times. 2) Humans consist of physical, spiritual, and intellectual components; this concept requires a tangible development process, so skill competence building must be based on the concept of the unity of body, spirit, and mind to produce intellectually intelligent and morally commendable Muslims. 3) Humans have varied responses to each other; the task of skill competence building is to understand these differences and develop them according to each individual\u27s respons
Toleransi Beragama: Analisis Wacana Kritis Fairclough Pada Program LOGIN Episode 30 Season 2
This study is based on the reality of religious diversity in Indonesia which is plural and diverse. There are many religions, both conventional and traditional religions or commonly referred to as tribal religions, such as Kaharingan, Marapu, Parmalim, Kejawen. Therefore, Indonesia is rich in diversity, especially in the dimension of religious life. The development of technology is very rapid in the current era, both on a global and national scale, one of which is in Indonesia. YouTube is a media that has experienced very rapid development. This media is in demand by its activists by uploading videos on channels for certain purposes, one of which is LOGIN on Deddy Corbuzier\u27s Channel. The purpose of this study is to see the discourse and ideology in the videos uploaded on the LOGIN program, especially in episode 30 season 2. The method in this study is qualitative with two methods, namely Fairclough\u27s critical discourse analysis and descriptive analysis. This study begins by presenting the theory related to interfaith dialogue from Knitter and Kung, then analyzing the LOGIN video episode 30 season 2 and 3 other videos: episodes 1 and 30 season 1, and episode 1 season 2. The results of the discourse analysis want to see the discourse of tolerance that is born through harmonious and comedic religious dialogue from each religious figure in the LOGIN program video.[Penelitian ini berangkat dari realitas keberagaman agama di Indonesia yang plural dan majemuk. Banyak sekali agama-agama, baik dari agama yang konvensional maupun agama yang tradisional atau biasa disebut sebagai agama suku, seperti kaharingan, marapu, parmalim, kejawen. Oleh karena itu, Indonesia kaya akan keberagaman, khususnya dalam dimensi kehidupan keagamaan. Perkembangan teknologi sangat pesat di era sekarang, baik dalam skala global maupun negara, salah satunya di Indonesia. YouTube menjadi media yang mengalami perkembangan sangat pesat. Media ini diminati oleh para pegiatnya dengan mengunggah video di channel untuk tujuan tertentu, salah satunya adalah LOGIN di Channel Deddy Corbuzier. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat wacana dan ideologi pada video yang diunggah di program LOGIN, khususnya di episode 30 season 2. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan dua metode yakni analisis wacana kritis Fairclough dan analisis deskriptif. Penelitian ini dimulai dengan memaparkan teori terkait dialog antar agama dari Knitter dan Kung, kemudian menganalisis video LOGIN episode 30 season 2 dan 3 video lainnya: episode 1 dan 30 season 1, serta episode 1 season 2. Hasil dari analisis wacana tersebut ingin melihat wacana toleransi yang lahir melalui dialog agama yang harmoni dan bernuansa komedi dari setiap tokoh-tokoh agama di dalam video program LOGIN.
Migrants with Disabilities [MWDs], Mental Health, and Exclusion in COVID-19 Palliative in South Africa : Legislations on Disabilities
The paper discusses the challenges of migrants with disabilities (MWDs) during COVID-19 and how government policies either amplify or aggravates their challenges in South Africa. This study also examined current disability legislation and COVID-19 policies on MWDs. The study is a qualitative study based on interviews with seven participants. Data were analyzed by thematic analysis. Findings suggest that MWDs struggles with mental health, exclusion from health care, COVID-19 palliative and social welfare. The paper argues that South Africa has failed to develop and execute relevant policies and strategies to assist MWDs. This is evidenced in insufficient government policy on the inclusion of MWDs in COVID-19. The paper suggests that the South African government and disaster management plans should improve policies and services provided to MWDs. It is also suggested that MWDs should enjoy human rights and be treated equally. This necessitates a review of current capacities and strengthening of disabilities legislation specific to MWDs.
Penelitian ini membahas tantangan yang dihadapi oleh migran penyandang disabilitas (MWD) selama pandemi COVID-19 dan bagaimana kebijakan pemerintah dapat memperburuk atau memperparah tantangan mereka di Afrika Selatan. Studi ini juga meneliti undang-undang disabilitas saat ini dan kebijakan COVID-19 terkait MWD. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kualitatif berdasarkan wawancara dengan tujuh partisipan. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa MWD mengalami masalah kesehatan mental, pengucilan dari layanan kesehatan, bantuan COVID-19, dan kesejahteraan sosial. Makalah ini berpendapat bahwa Afrika Selatan tidak berhasil mengembangkan dan melaksanakan kebijakan serta strategi yang relevan untuk membantu MWD. Hal ini terbukti dari kebijakan pemerintah yang kurang memadai dalam mengikutsertakan MWD selama pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar pemerintah Afrika Selatan dan rencana manajemen bencana harus meningkatkan kebijakan dan layanan yang disediakan untuk MWD. Juga disarankan agar MWD menikmati hak asasi manusia dan diperlakukan secara setara. Hal ini memerlukan peninjauan kapasitas saat ini dan penguatan undang-undang disabilitas yang spesifik untuk MWD
KREASI SABUN DAN LILIN DARI LIMBAH MINYAK JELANTAH SEBAGAI PELUANG BISNIS BAGI WARGA DESA NGASEM
There are 2,214 families in Ngasem Village who each produce 1 liter of cooking oil waste every month. From there, there is a need for the treatment of used cooking oil waste in the region so that the waste does not pollute the environment. The processing proposed in this research is the utilization into soap and candles. The implementation of activities uses the CBR (Community-based Research) method. In its stages, there are several series: Determining the target of the workshop, namely the women of PKK and Dasa Wisma of Ngasem Village; observing the condition of the village organization and the type of training that is often promoted; and following up the workshop with materials related to the utilization of used cooking oil waste into creations with business opportunities. Our workshop resulted in a good enthusiasm from the ladies. They were able to grasp the material well and were active in the discussion. Demonstrations were well followed, and participants were able to practice smoothly. This shows an indicator of success in delivering information, especially in terms of calculating prices as the next business opportunity. The price of soap and candle products from used cooking oil can be categorized as affordable with raw materials from daily cooking waste.

Terdapat 2.214 keluarga di Desa Ngasem yang masing-masing menghasilkan limbah minyak goreng 1 liter tiap bulan. Dari situ, ada kebutuhan akan pengolahan limbah minyak jelantah di wilayah tersebut agar limbah tidak mencemari lingkungan. Pengolahan yang diusulkan dalam penelitian ini adalah pemanfaatan menjadi sabun dan lilin. Pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan metode CBR (Community-based Research). Dalam tahapannya, terdapat beberapa rangkaian: penentuan sasaran workshop, yaitu Ibu-ibu PKK dan Dasa Wisma Desa Ngasem; observasi kondisi organisasi desa dan jenis pelatihan yang sering digalakkan; dan penindaklanjutan workshop dengan materi yang berkaitan dengan pemanfaatan limbah minyak jelantah menjadi kreasi yang berpeluang bisnis. Workshop kami menghasilkan sebuah antusias yang baik dari Ibu-ibu. Mereka dapat menangkap dengan baik materi yang disampaikan dan aktif dalam diskusi. Demonstrasi diikuti dnegan baik, serta peserta mampu mempraktikkannya dengan lancar. Hal tersebut menunjukkan indikator keberhasilan dalam penyampaian informasi, terutama dalam hal perhitungan harga sebagai peluang bisnis selanjutnya. TRANSFORMASI MEDIA SOSIAL DALAM DIGITALISASI AGAMA: Media Dakwah dan Wisata Religi
The development of technology and social media has shifted the style of interaction between communities. This is evidenced by the way of communicating and searching for the information needed. This research will examine how the transformation of social media in the digitalization of religion? And how is the use of social media for religious activities of religious tourism, and da\u27wah media? Research with a variety of social media that is popular among the public with a focus on several accounts on Youtube, Instagram and Tiktok as a limitation of social media in the context of religious activities. In this analysis, we will refer to Manuel Castells\u27 view of network society which shows how information and communication technology has changed the way individuals and communities interact, including in the context of da\u27wah and religious tourism. The result obtained is that the transformation that occurs, religious activities in digital form become an alternative to promote and current information needs. Komunikasi Artifaktual sebagai Media Dakwah: Studi Club Motor Bikers Subuhan Lampung Melawan Stigma Negatif Geng Motor
Lampung province is notorious for the rampant criminality of begal and the anarchy of a number of motorcycle gangs that disturb the community. The emergence of motorcycle clubs is a frightening specter for the people of Lampung. The Bikers Subuhan Lampung Motorcycle Club is present to erase this bad stigma. Its movement in da\u27wah activities is interesting to study. The purpose of this article is to analyze the role of artifactual communication as a means of dakwah for the Subuhan Lampung Bikers Motorcycle Club. This research uses a qualitative approach, collecting data through interview techniques, observation, and documentation. Then the data that has been collected is analyzed using the principles of qualitative data analysis (Miles and Huberman). Artifactual communication as a medium of da\u27wah for Subuhan Lampung Bikers Motor Club becomes its own medium for inviting audiences to join and carry out their da\u27wah activities.
[Provinsi lampung terkenal dengan maraknya kejahatan kriminal begal dan anarkisnya sejumlah anggota club motor yang membuat masyarakat terganggu. Munculnya club motor menjadi momok menakutkan bagi masyarakat lampung. Club Motor Bikers Subuhan Lampung hadir untuk menghapus stigma buruk tersebut. Pergerakannya pada aktivitas dakwah menarik untuk diteliti. Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah untuk menganalisis peran komunikasi artifaktual sebagai media dakwah Club Motor Bikers Subuhan Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, pengumpulan data melalui teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Kemudian data yang sudah terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan prinsip analisis data kualitatif Miles dan Huberman. Komunikasi artifaktual sebagai media dakwah Club Motor Bikers Subuhan Lampung menjadi media tersendiri dalam mengajak khalayak untuk bergabung dan melakukan aktivitas dakwah mereka.
INSTALASI PERANGKAT PRODUKSI PADA PROSES PENGERINGAN BIJI BUNGA MATAHARI DI KELOMPOK TANI DESA CIHANJUANG BARAT
Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) is a perennial plant originating from Mexico and Peru. This plant has high value-added when processed into cooking oil, herbal oil, and livestock feed. Global oil production is only able to meet a demand of 0.26%. Indonesia has the opportunity to develop the cultivation of this plant to enhance its added value and global competitiveness. Community empowerment activities aim to improve the welfare of sunflower farmers and raise social awareness among students regarding the surrounding community. Problems in the production sector are: (i) farmers cannot ensure that sunflower seeds that have been dried have a moisture content of 12%, (ii) the drying process in some places still relies on sunlight, and cannot anticipate if it rains. So, based on the analysis carried out, we carried out empowerment activities in the form of installing production installing production equipment in the sunflower seed drying process for farmer groups in the village of Cihanjuang Barat. Socialization and guidance on the use of equipment was carried out to farmers regarding production equipment that can help the production process. After the installation has been successfully carried out, the sunflower seeds reach a moisture content of 12% according to the wishes of the farmers and it is hoped that they can replace conventional sunflower seed drying processes such as which was done previously
