Analisis Kemampuan Lahan pada Sistem Pertanian di Sub-DAS Serang Daerah Tangkapan Waduk Kedung Ombo
Title : Land Capability Analysis on Farming System at Serang Sub-Watershed Kedung Ombo Reservoir Catchment Area. Soil conservation in principle is using the land according to its capability and keep them from damage. This study aims at assessing the land capability classes of farming systems at Serang sub-watershed and evaluate their usages. The results showed that the land capability dominated by Class II (12,096.90 ha, 40.6%), followed by Class III (11,598.92 ha, 38.9%), Class IV (2,879.11 ha, 9.7%), Class I (1,333.14 ha, 4.5%), Class VIII (712.57 ha, 2.4%), Class VII (684.97 ha, 2.3%) and Class VI (512.84 ha, 1.7%). The main resistance factors are slope and soil deepth for class II; slope, soil deepth, drainage and erosion for class III; slope and erosion for class IV; and slope for class VIII, VII and VI. The results showed that 94% farm lands at Serang sub-watershed was suitable to its land capability and only 6.0% were not suitable
PENGARUH TINGKAT KEMATANGAN KOMPOS TANDAN KOSONG SAWIT DAN MULSA LIMBAH PADAT KELAPA SAWIT TERHADAP PRODUKSI TANAMAN TOMAT (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) PADA TANAH ULTISOL
Title : The Effect of Maturity Level of Empty Fruit Bunch Compost and Mulch from Palm Oil Waste to Tomato Productivity in Ultisol. This research was conducted to understand the effect of maturity level of empty fruit bunch compost and mulch from palm oil waste to tomato productivity in ultisol soil. This research used split plot design with mulch as main plot and maturity level of compost as sub plot. The mulch consists of four types: control, shell, fiber, and chopped of empty fruit bunch. The maturity level of compost consists of 5 levels: control, 4 weeks, 6 weeks, 8 weeks, and 10 weeks. Material used in this research was tomato Ratna variety. Compost of 8 weeks gave the lowest value of C/N ratio (35.16) than 4, 6, and 10 weeks. This compost also had the highest level of N-total, P and Mg: 1.34 %, 0.08 %, and 0.25 %. Compost containing the lowest C/N ratio and higher nutrition gave better vegetative growt. Compost of 8 weeks and fiber mulch provided the highest harvest weight and the highest number of fruit (436.56 gram and 16 fruits). Fruit number and fruit weight were lower than general tomato cultivation because of soil condition. Soil type was ultisol which had lower acidity level. The lower KTK level of this soil made distruption in nutrients uptake. Compost of 8 weeks could increase harvest weight 52.59 % higher than control and also could raise number of fruit 82.53 % higher than control. Shell mulch presented negative effect to growth and productivity of tomato.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tingkat kematangan kompos tandan kosong sawit dan penggunaan mulsa limbah padat kelapa sawit terhadap produksi tanaman tomat (Licopersicon esculentum Mill.) pada wilayah dengan tanah ultisol. Percobaan menggunakan rancangan petak terbagi (Split Plot Design) dengan mulsa sebagai petak utama dan kematangan kompos sebagai anak petak. Mulsa terdiri dari empat jenis yaitu tanpa mulsa, cangkang, fiber, dan cacahan TKS. Sedangkan tingkat kematangan kompos terdiri dari 5 taraf yaitu tanpa kompos, kompos 4 minggu, kompos 6 minggu, kompos 8 minggu dan kompos 10 minggu. Bahan yang digunakan adalah tomat (Lycipersicon esculentum Mill.) varietas Ratna. Kompos 8 minggu memberikan nilai C/N ratio terendah dibandingkan umur 4, 6, dan 10 minggu yaitu 35.16. Kompos umur 8 minggu menghasilkan nilai N-total, P, dan Mg tertinggi dibandingkan 3 kompos lainnya yaitu 1.34 %, 0.08 %, dan 0.25 %. Kompos dengan C/N rasio lebih rendah dan kandungan hara yang lebih tinggi memberikan pertumbuhan vegetatif tomat yang lebih baik dibandingkan kompos lainnya. Kompos 8 minggu dan mulsa fiber menghasilkan bobot panen dan jumlah buah terbanyak yaitu 436.56 gram dengan 16 buah. Jumlah dan bobot buah yang dihasilkan pada penelitian ini lebih rendah bila dibandingkan budidaya tomat pada umumnya karena kondisi tanah ultisol yang masam. Nilai KTK yang rendah mengakibatkan terganggunya penyerapan hara tanaman. Bila dibandingkan kontrol, penggunaan kompos 8 minggu meningkatkan bobot buah 52.59 % dan jumlah buah sebesar 82.53 %. Penggunaan mulsa cangkang menunjukan pengaruh negatif terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman tomat
PENGARUH INOKULASI JAMUR MIKORIZA ARBUSKULA TERHADAP GLOMALIN, PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL PADI
TITLE : EFFECT OF ARBUSCULAR MYCORRIZHAL FUNGI INOCULATION ON GLOMALIN, GROWTH AND RICE YIELD. The aim of this study was to measure the glomalin production, growth and yield of rice in upland rice fields. The research used Completely Randomized Design with four treatments: two sterilization levels (no sterilisatio and with sterilization) and two levels of mycorrhizae inoculation ( no mycorrhizae and with mycorrhizae). Mycorrhizae (5 g/pot) was inoculated before planting rice seeds. The results showed that Glomalin Total (GT) and Glomalin easily extracted (GEE) were higher in mycorrhizae inoculation, increased by 16% and 20% in non-sterile soil and 25% and 11% in sterile soil compared to non-mycorrhizae inoculation. The content of the GT ranged from 4.95 to 9.74 mg/g soil and GEE 0.99 to 2.78 mg/g soil. Plant height, tillers number and the grain yield was increased by mycorrhizae inoculation significantly. Soil sterilization could reduce the effectiveness of mycorrhizae inoculated.Penelitian pot ini bertujuan untuk mengukur kandungan glomalin, pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman padi dari inokulalsi mikoriza. Penelitian disusun dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dari empat perlakuan yaitu dua taraf sterilisasi (TO, tanpa sterilisasi dan TS, + sterilisasi) dan dua taraf inokulasi mikoriza (M1, - mikoriza dan M1+ mkorisa) dengan enam kali ulangan. Mikoriza sebanyak 5 g/pot diberikan sebelum penamanan benih padi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Glomalin Total (GT) dan Glomalin mudah diekstrak (GEE) lebih tinggi pada inokulasi mikoriza, masing-masing meningkat 16 % dan 20% pada tanah tidak steril (TOM1) dan 25 % dan 11 % pada tanah steril(TSM1) dibandingkan tanpa mikoriza. Kandungan GT berkisar dari 4,95 – 9,74 mg/ g tanah dan GEE 0,99 – 2,78 mg/g tanah. Inokulasi mikoriza meningkatkan C organik tanah, sebesar 13,47 % pada tanah tak steril dan 12,93 % pada tanah steril. Tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan dan berat gabah kering giling (GKG) nyata dipengaruhi inokulasi mikoriza. GKG pada tanah steril+ mikoriza paling tinggi (20,68 g/pot) namun tidak berbeda nyata dengan tanah tak steril + mikoriza. Sterilisasi tanah nyata tidak mempengaruhi produksi glomalin, pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman padi
OPTIMALISASI LAHAN KERING KECAMATAN BAYAN-LOMBOK UTARA MENGGUNAKAN ASAM HUMAT TERIMMOBIL DALAM RUMPUT LAUT SEBAGAI PELENGKAP PUPUK PADA TANAMAN JAGUNG (Zea Mays L)
Title : The Optimization of Bayan District Dry Land –North Lombok Used The Immobilized Humic Acid in Seaweed as Fertilizer Supplement for Maize Plant (Zea Mays L). A study on optimization of dry land used the immobilized humic acid in seaweed as fertilizer supplement for maize plant (Zea Mays L) has been done in Bayan District North Lombok Regency Nusa Tenggara Barat Province. It was known that humic acid could increase availability and uptake of nutrient (N, P, K and Corganic) at maize plant in dry land of Bayan District. It was needed a modification technique that lower quantity of humic acid using without diminishing it’s utility, by immobilized humic acid in seaweed. Research design began with the preparation of immobilized humic acid in seaweed via entrapment technique (gel) and covalent bending (liquid). Immobilization result was characterized by infrared spectrophotometer. Agircultural land was mapped according to number of treatments, then each of them was analized physical and chemical properties before planting was done. Bayan agricultural land has sandy and loose texture, reddish brown colour, and neutral acidity (pH 6.97 at depth of 0-20 cm and a pH of 6.80 at depth of 21-40 cm). It has low availability nutrient of soil (Corganic, N, P, K) at 0-20 cm depth and 21-40 cm respectively are 2.950% and 2.860%, 0.067% and 0.076%, 0.001% and 0.004 %, 0.310% and 0.390%. While the cation exchange capacity value at a depth of 0-20 cm and 21-40 cm respectively are 20.95 and 22.16 me. Based on FTIR spectra, humic acid can be immobilized on seaweed as evidenced by absorption shift, especially in the carboxylic acid and amine groups. Humic acid was able to increase nutrient availability and uptake at maize plant through it’s ability in binding, adsorbing and exchanging nutrients. Application of humic acid in soil showed increasing of plant growth (plant height, weight and nutritional value of corn). Availability and uptake of N, P and K are highest in treatment 0.1% humic acid immobilized on seaweed 100 kg ha-1 (gel) and 0.1% humic acid immobilized in seaweed (liquid) with fertilizer 100% NPK dose.Suatu studi tentang optimalisasi lahan kering menggunakan asam humat terimmobil dalam rumput laut sebagai bahan pelengkap pupuk pada tanaman jagung di Kecamatan Bayan Kabupaten Lombok Utara provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat telah dilakukan. Telah diketahui bahwa asam humat secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan ketersediaan dan pengambilan nutrien (N,P,K, dan C-organik) pada tanaman jagung di lahan kering Kecamatan Bayan. Diperlukan suatu teknik modifikasi yang dapat mengurangi jumlah pemakaian asam humat tanpa mengurangi manfaatnya yaitu dengan mengimobilisasi asam humat pada rumput laut. Rancangan penelitian dimulai dengan preparasi asam humat terimobilisasi pada rumput laut melalui teknik entrapment (gel) dan covalent bending (liquid). Hasil imobilisasi dikarakterisasi menggunakan spektrofotometer IR. Lahan pertanian dipetakan sesuai dengan jumlah perlakuan kemudian masing-masing pemetaan lahan dianalisis sifat fisik dan kimianya sebelum penanaman jagung dilakukan. Lahan pertanian kec. Bayan memiliki sifat fisik bertekstur pasir, struktur lepas dan berwarna coklat kemerahan dengan derajat keasaman netral (pH 6,97 pada kedalaman 0–20 cm dan pH 6,80 pada kedalaman 21–40 cm). Selain itu tanah ini mempunyai kandungan hara (C organik, N, P, K) tersediakan rendah pada kedalaman 0–20 cm dan 21–40 cm berturut-turut yaitu 2,950% dan 2,860%; 0,067% dan 0,076%; 0,001% dan 0,004%; 0,310% dan 0,390%. Sedangkan nilai KTK pada kedalaman 0–20 cm dan 21–40 cm berturut-turut yaitu 20,95 dan 22,16 me%. Berdasarkan hasil spektra FTIR, asam humat dapat diimmobilisasikan pada rumput laut yang dibuktikan dengan adanya pergeseran serapan terutama pada gugus asam karboksilat dan amina. Asam humat mampu meningkatkan ketersediaan dan pengambilan unsur hara bagi tanaman melalui kemampuannya mengikat, menjerap dan mempertukarkan unsur hara. Ketersediaan dan pengambilan N, P dan K tertinggi ditemukan pada perlakuan 0,1% asam humat terimobilisasi pada rumput laut 100 kg ha-1 (gel) dan 0,1% asam humat terimobilisasi pada rumput laut (liquid) bersama pupuk NPK dosis 100%
SEBARAN FUNGI MIKORISA ARBUSKULAR DI DAERAH SURAKARTA DAN SEKITARNYA
Distribution of Arbuscular Mycorrhiza in and Around Surakarta Area. The present study aimed to observe the distribution of Arbuscular Mycorrhiza (AM) in and around Surakarta, including upland and lowland with different types of soils (Vertisol, Entisol, Andisol, Alfisol, Histosol, Fluvisol) and plants. The observation covered the number of AM spore per 100 g of soil and the infection of AM in the plant root samples. The factors of land conditions and plant types determined the results of survey in elucidating the existence of AM. Among 11 locations, the only one location of Vertisol upland in Kentingan campus area did not show the existence of AM. Different spore types from different plant rhizosfer were found in 3 fields: Fluvisol upland in Ngringo, Karanganyar, Andisol upland in Tengaran, Semarang, and Entisol rainfed lowland in Penggung, Klaten. From the other 7 fields with soil types of Vertisol, Entisol, Alfisol and Histosol were obtained AM spores with the same types which originated either from the same or the different plant rhizosfer. The number of AM spore per 100 g of soil and the infection intensity of AM in plant root from all the observed fields were low, indicating that inoculation treatment of infective and effective AM strains to the fields is needed. The aim of the research is studying erosion hazard on each land unit in Samin sub watershed and land management have been done farmer. This research used phenomenology qualitative description method by interpretation of theme maps and Iconos image satellite, and survey. Soil and land management sampling method was done by purposive sampling. Title : Initial Assessment to Accelerate Recovery of The Affected Community Social Economic Mount Merapi Eruption Through The Cultivation of Silkworms. Research purposes to obtain the suitability of land for mulberry (Morus sp) in the affected area 2010 eruption of Mount Merapi, in Balerante Kemalang Klaten in Central Java. This information is necessary to create activities that can accelerate the recovery of socio‐economic conditions of society through silkworm farming. The method used is an inventory of soil and land characteristics through field surveys. Step (1) an inventory of climatic factors, soil and topography to make the Land Unit Map (SPT). Stage (2) analysis of soil fertility in the laboratory to complement the characteristics of land that has not been obtained at the time of field survey. Stage (3) develop / describe the characteristics of the land on each Land Unit on our soil. Stage (4) The process of evaluating the suitability of the land, the match (matching) characteristics of land with mulberry plant growth requirements. The results of our actual and potential land suitability. This map is useful to provide guidance on the cultivation of mulberry plants. ANALISIS ALTERNATIF PENGGUNAAN LAHAN UNTUK MENJAMIN KETERSEDIAAN AIR DI DAS KONAWEHA PROVINSI SULAWESI TENGGARA
Title : The Analysis of Land Use Alternatives to Ensure Water Supply at Konaweha Watershed Southeast Sulawesi Province. Fenomena of decreasing water supply and increasing water demand occurred at Konaweha watershed. Konaweha watershed shed is a priority watershed in Southeast Sulawesi Province due to its crucial function. Land use changes were suspected to be the cause of decreasing water supply. One effect of this condition was maximum discharge increase and minimum discharge decrease of Konaweha River resulted in water deficit. Research objectives were (1) to evaluate the effect of land use changes on hydrologic condition of Konaweha watershed; (2) to evaluate the water supply and water demand as well as supply and demand water balance at Konaweha watershed, and (3) to formulate land use alternatives and management policy of Konaweha watershed. This research had been conducted at Konaweha watershed for 10 months e.g. from June 2009 to March 2010. The average declining of forest width during 1991‐1999 was 1.25 percent/year, 2001‐2005 was 0.52 percent/year and 2006‐2011 was 0.90 percent/year. In the same time the availability of minimum discharge as a water supply was decrease. There was no deficit on annual water supply until 2050 but monthly distribution of hydrograph caused water deficit in September started from 2016. Proportion of maintenance cost for watershed function at Kendari Municipality was 35 percent while at the District of Konawe, South Konawe and Kolaka were 28 percent, 15 percent, and 22 percent respectively from total economic value of water at Konaweha watershed. Forest economic value including flora and fauna, carbon absorption, option value, bequest value and existence value was IDR 14,974,716/hectare. Five alternative of land use at Konaweha watershed were: (1) Scenario 1: 30 percent forest, 45 percent plantation, 6 percent mix garden and 1 percent bush; (2) Scenario 2: 35 percent forest, 45 percent plantation, 5 percent mix garden and 1 percent bush; (3) Scenario 3: 44 percent forest, 35 percent plantation, 5 percent mix garden and 1 percent bush; (4) Scenario 4: 34 percent forest, 45 percent plantation, 7 percent mix garden and 1 percent bush; and (5) Scenario 5: 40 percent forest, 35 percent plantation, 5 percent mix garden and 2 percent bush. Scenario 4 were not appropriate while scenario 1, 2, 3 and 5 were appropriate to applied in upper Konaweha watershed. IMBANGAN PUPUK ORGANIK DAN ANORGANIK PADA PERTANAMAN WORTEL (Daucus carota L.) DI ANDISOLS TAWANGMANGU
Title : The Balance of Organic and Inorganic Fertilizer on the Carrot Field (Daucus carota L.) at Andisols Tawangmangu. This experiment research was conducted on September – December 2007 in Blumbang, Sub district Tawangmangu, Karanganyar. The aim of this research was to know the effect of balance organic fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer to the carrot quality in Andisols, Tawangmangu. This experiment used RCBD (Randomized Complete Block Design) with organic fertilizer factor (0%, 50% and 100% organic fertilizer) and inorganic fertilizer factor (0%, 50% and 100% inorganic fertilizer). Statistical analysis for the influence of the treatment was variant analysis with F-test and Kruskal-Wallis test. Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) was used to compare inter-treatment and for finding out of the relation inter-variable it was used correlation test. The result shows that the balance of organic and inorganic fertilizer have significant influence to the water content of carrot, the weight of carrot, the weight of dried carrot plant and the plant’s height, and have not significant influence to the carotene, carrot’s diameter, and carrot’s length. The lower water content of carrot was shown by the treatment of 100% organic fertilizer and 50% inorganic fertilizer. The treatment of 100% organic fertilizer and 100% inorganic fertilizer give the highest plant height and the weight of carrot per plant. To the soil, the balance of organic and inorganic fertilizer has significant influence to the total N of soil and to the available N of soil. It has not significant influence to the total P of soil and available P of soil, total K of soil and available K of soil. The result of correlation test showed there was positive correlation among carrot weight and water content of carrot. The aim of this research was to know the effect of balance organic fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer to the carrot quality in Andisols, Tawangmangu. This experiment used RCBD (Randomized Complete Block Design) with organic fertilizer factor (0%, 50% and 100% organic fertilizer) and inorganic fertilizer factor (0%, 50% and 100% inorganic fertilizer).
