Uso de Plantas Medicinais Associadas à Saúde Feminina Brasileira: Uma Revisão de Literatura
Medicinal plants are plant species containing active compounds capable of promoting therapeutic effects, used since ancient times for the care and treatment of diseases. In women's health, they play a relevant rolein preventing and managing gynecological and reproductive conditions, especially in resource-limitedcommunities, where they represent an accessible therapeutic alternative. In herbal medicine, their use isassociated with the relief of menopausal symptoms, menstrual disorders, and genitourinary tract conditions. This study aimed to review national scientific literature on the use of medicinal plants in women's health, describing species used, their forms of application, and potential benefits. This is an integrative review thatanalyzed publications in Portuguese and English, from 2017 to 2025, retrieved from SciELO Brasil,Arquivos do Mudi, Google Scholar, and CAPES Journal Portal. Thirteen studies met the inclusion criteria, highlighting species such as Allium sativum L., Curcuma longa L., Zingiber officinale Roscoe, Morus nigraL., Senna alata (L.) Roxb., among others, used in the management of endometriosis, dysmenorrhea, candidiasis, climacteric, and menopausal symptoms. Evidence suggests positive outcomes, but also reinforces the need for safe prescription and appropriate handling by trained professionals to avoid risks such as overdose and intoxication.
This paper is a brief summary of one of the sections of the first chapter of my thesis in which I work with Argentine fiction that deals with the murder of feminized bodies prior to the enactment of the law that modifies the penal code and recognizes femicide as a particular type of crime and also prior to the term being coined by feminist movements and international human rights law. In particular, the novel El desierto y su semilla (1998), by Jorge Barón Biza, will be analyzed here around some axes of reading that are related to the link I establish between literature and law and the way in which literature relates to and appears (in Derridian terms) before the law in order to effect a movement of closeness and friction with the law. In this sense, the focus here is on the way in which literature puts the law in check as it exposes Eligia\u27s suicide as a mode of feminicide that the law could not recognize because the facts, in relation to temporality, could not make the law function. Literature lets us see something that the law cannot show and, in this sense, establishes another kind of justice. At the same time, this novel functions as an antecedent of a voice that will be fundamental when the issue of feminicides in Argentina occupies a central place in the narratives about precaricides against feminized bodies. That voice is from the children of those victims, witnesses and affected part of this violence.
Impact of Quality of Life on Oral Health in Brazilian Young People with and without Cleft Lip/Palate
Objective: To identify the most common clefts in patients at a craniofacial deformity rehabilitation center, to evaluate the impact on oral health-related quality of life in different cleft types, and to compare it between children and adolescents with cleft lip and palate (CL/P) and a control group without clefts. Material and Methods: A quantitative cross-sectional design was used, involving 150 patients with CL/P from the center and 150 individuals in the control group from a public school, all aged between 8 and 18 years old. Data were collected using the Child Oral Health Impact Profile (COHIP) questionnaire and information on the orofacial cleft type. Bivariate analyses (Pearson\u27s chi-squared test) examined the relationship between cleft types and COHIP domains and between the two groups, with a significance level of α=5%. Results: Cleft lip and palate were the most prevalent (61.3%). However, there was no significant difference in oral health-related quality of life between cleft types (p>0.05). General oral quality of life scores did not differ between the groups, but the control group showed higher scores in the \u27functional well-being\u27 and \u27personal image\u27 domains. Conclusion: There are no differences in the impact of oral health-related quality of life between children and young people with cleft lip and palate and the control group.

Association Between Endodontics Alterations and Transplanted Patients or Those in Need of Kidney or Liver Transplantation: A Scoping Review
Objective: To investigate clinical studies that evaluated the relationship between endodontic alterations and transplanted patients or those in need of liver or kidney transplantation compared to patients not in need of transplantation. Material and Methods: This review followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) statement. Two independent authors conducted an electronic search of the main databases until January 2025. Clinical studies evaluating endodontic changes in transplant patients were included in this study. There was no restriction on the date of publication. Results: Among the 332 studies retrieved, 11 studies were included. Two cross-sectional studies assessed the interrelationship between patients undergoing liver transplantation and endodontic changes. Nine studies evaluated the relationship between kidney transplantation and endodontic changes; two studies found no relationship between pulp calcification and these patients; however, another three studies found a relationship between the chronicity of the actual disease and pulp chamber narrowing. Conclusion: Few clinical studies have evaluated the interrelationship between patients of liver transplantation and endodontic changes; studies that have evaluated the interrelationship between patients of kidney transplantation have found a relationship mainly with pulp chamber narrowing, but no relationship with pulp calcifications
The principle of human dignity and human security are values that must be intrinsic to the construction of greater agency for refugees in relation to the local integration process. In this sense, the objective of this article is to relate human dignity and security to the integration of refugees in Brazil by understanding the main needs through active listening to the UNHCR 2021 and 2023 Participatory Diagnosis reports. To this end, a theoretical-bibliographical survey about the principles of human dignity and security, as well as the main normative acts, brazilian laws on refugees and the local integration process. In this way, local integration is outlined based on human dignity and security, understanding the need for actions that bring refugees to the center of integration. The data in the reports demonstrate the deficiencies in integration, and even more so the importance of actions in this sense, of dignifying with the act of active participation.O princípio da dignidade da pessoa humana e a segurança humana são valores que devem ser intrínsecos para a construção de um maior agenciamento dos refugiados em relação ao processo de integração local.
This study first reconstructs the historical context of Friedrich Gentz\u27s reception as a student at the Albertina University of Königsberg, facilitated by the intervention of his father and Mendelssohn. Second, it examines Friedrich Gentz\u27s reception of Kant\u27s Towards Perpetual Peace, particularly through the evaluation of a set of alternatives to a peaceful world order. It is assumed here that the first version of the third alternative reflects Kant\u27s vision in Perpetual Peace, and consequently, in the third and final part, an attempt is made to at least address the objection that Kant\u27s proposal is merely a chimera and nothing more, taking into consideration the third part of Kant\u27s essay On the Common Saying.
Incorporation of AgVO3 into Glass Ionomer Cement: Ionic Release
Objective: To evaluate the surface properties and ion release of a glass ionomer cement (GIC) incorporated with nanostructured silver vanadate (AgVO3). Material and Methods: Specimens were obtained with AgVO3 (1%, 2.5%, and 5%) and without nanomaterial. Charge dispersion was assessed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). The release of silver (Ag+) and vanadium (V4+/V5+) was determined using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). The release of fluoride was determined using an ion-selective electrode. Data were analyzed by ANOVA and Bonferroni post-test (α=0.05). Results: Photomicrographs and EDS suggested the presence of AgVO3. The 2.5% and 5% groups showed a greater release of Ag+ (p<0.05). A greater release of V4+/V5+ was observed with 5% (p<0.05). There was a greater release of V4+/V5+ than Ag+ in the 2.5% (p=0.006) and 5% (p<0.001) groups. All groups showed a greater fluoride release on day 7 and a progressive decrease (p=0.004). On day 7, groups with 1% (p=0.036) and 2.5% (p=0.004) showed greater release than control. Conclusion: All concentration test altered the surface properties of GIC, with greater release of Ag+ and V4+ /V5+ in the group with 5%. In all groups, there was a greater release of fluoride on day 7 with a subsequent decrease. AgVO3 at concentrations of 1% and 2.5% favored fluoride release on day 7
Color Stability, Surface Roughness, and Microhardness of Resin-Based Composites After Immersion in Beverages Commonly Consumed by Children or Accelerated Artificial Aging
Objective: To evaluate the color stability, surface roughness, and microhardness of resin-based composites (RBCs) after accelerated artificial aging (AAA) or immersion in beverages consumed by children. Material and Methods: Seventy specimens were prepared from each RBC (Z350-Z350, SS-Spectra Smart, AF-Admira Fusion, and EA-Estelite Asteria). Initial color, ∆E00, surface roughness, ∆Ra, and microhardness, ∆KHN readings were done. Specimens were separated into five groups (n=14): AAA (300 hours) and immersion (30 minutes daily/30 days) in Coca-Cola (CC), Grape juice (GJ), Chocolate milk (CM), or distilled water (DW). After the final readings, color and microhardness data were analyzed using two-way ANOVA, Tukey, and surface roughness by Kruskal-Wallis and Dunn\u27s test. Results: SS exhibited the most significant color change in AAA, which differed from CC and GJ; the minor change occurred after CM and DW, which were distinct from each other. AF did not show a difference between the treatments. All RBCs exhibited a decrease in microhardness, except for SS, after AAA and EA in CC and DW. There was no difference in the surface roughness after treatments, except for AAA, which presented a minor change for Z350 and AF, differing from the other treatments. Conclusion: The beverages didn’t alter the surface roughness but decreased the microhardness of the RBCs, except for CC, which increased the microhardness of EA
