    Produksi tanaman sorgum masih rendah sehingga diperlukan analisis kemampuan sorgum terhadap cekaman kekeringan salah satunya melalui pemberian Polyethylene Glycol 6000 (PEG 6000). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh PEG 6000 terhadap pertumbuhan vegetatif beberapa kultivar sorgum lokal di Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara (TTU). Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan faktor perlakuan berupa konsentrasi larutan PEG 0% (P0), 10% (P1), dan 20% (P2) dan jenis kultivar sorgum lokal putih (V1) dan hitam (V2). Karakter vegetatif yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan diameter batang yang diukur satu minggu setelah tanam (MST). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa bahwa tinggi tanaman terbesar pada 10MST dijumpai pada P0V1 yaitu 241 cm dan yang paling rendah pada P2V1 yaitu 130 cm. Jumlah daun terbanyak pada 10MST dijumpai pada P0V1 dan P0V2 yaitu sebanyak 28 helai dan paling sedikit pada P2V2 yaitu 10 helai. Diameter batang tertinggi pada 10MST ditemukan pada P0V1 sebesar 23.6 cm dan terendah ditemukan pada P2V1 dan P2V2 sebesar 12.4 cm. Pemberian perlakuan P1 dan P2 menyebabkan lebih rendahnya tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan diameter batang sorgum jika dibandingkan dengan P0. &nbsp

    Kualitas Es Krim Dengan Penambahan Air Nira Aren Sebagai Pemanis Alami

    Air susu dalam bidang peternakan dapat dibuat menjadi produk es krim yang merupakan salah satu dairy produck (produk olahan susu). Penggunaan pemanis alami dalam pembuatan es krim dapat memberi nilai tambah, salah satu pemanis alami yang dapat digunakan adalah air nira aren. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kulitas es krim dengan penambahan air nira aren sebagai pemanis alami. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan yaitu N0 = kontrol, N1= 30% air nira aren (v/v), N2= 40% air nira aren (v/v), dan N3= 50% air nira aren (v/v). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan untuk uji mutu hedonik berpengaruh nyata (P < 0,05) dengan nilai tertinggi pada skala warna N0 = 4,67 (putih), rasa tertinggi pada N2 = 3,19 (agak manis), aroma tertinggi pada N3 = 2,38 (agak beraroma nira aren), dan tekstur dengan nilai tertinggi N0 = 4,32 (lembut). Uji hedonik berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) dengan nilai rata-rata tertinggi pada N0 = 4,41 (suka). Uji daya leleh tertinggi pada N3 = 24 menit dan overrun tertinggi pada N3 = 63,03. Kesimpulan penambahan air nira aren pada es krim dengan konsentrasi yang berbeda meningkatkan waktu pelelehan es krim, overrum es krim, dan memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap uji mutu hedonik dan uji hedonik

    Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui batasan jumlah perlakuan (campuran limbah sawit dan dedak padi dengan Pleurotus ostreatus) dalam ransum dan pengaruhnya terhadap kualitas internal telur puyuh. Uji biologis penelitian ini menggunakan ternak puyuh sebanyak 200 ekor, umur 20 minggu dengan rataan 60% produksi telur harian. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan (0, 6, 12, 18, dan 24%) serta 4 ulangan. Hasil analisis ragam penelitian ini menunjukkan pengaruh perlakuan tidak memberikan pengaruh (P>0,05) terhadap berat putih telur dan kuning telur, lemak kuning, dan warna kuning telur, tetapi memberikan pengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap kolesterol kuning telur. Pemberian campuran limbah sawit dan dedak padi fermentasi dengan Pleurotus ostreatus dapat diberikan sampai 24% serta dapat memperbaiki kualitas telur puyuh dengan terjadinya penurunan kolesterol sebesar 21,01% dibandingkan dengan ransum tanpa perlakuan

    Oestrous Behavior of Cows Induced by Different Hormones

    Prostaglandin and estrogen hormones are two types of hormones commonly used in heat synchronization aimed at inducing earlier estrus in livestock. This study aims to determine the success rate of artificial insemination (AI) in beef cattle synchronized in heat with different hormones. The research method used is a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 3 treatments and 4 replications: P0 (natural estrus), P1 (prostaglandin injection), and P2 (estrogen injection). The parameters tested in this study include the percentage of estrus, intensity of estrus and time of estrus symptoms. The analysis used is Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The results indicate that the percentage of cattle showing signs of estrus in all three treatments reached 100%. The intensity of estrus in each treatment was assessed in three categories: clear estrus (score 3+++), moderate estrus (score 2++), and low estrus (score 1+). The results showed that in P0 and P2, 50% of the cattle exhibited clear estrus and 50% moderate estrus, while in P1, 66.7% showed clear estrus and 33.3% moderate estrus. The onset of estrus symptoms in P0 occurred on average at hour <480 or days 18-20 from the first to the second estrus cycle, whereas in P1 and P2, it appeared at hour 48 or day 2 after injection

    Implementation of the PPG Leadership Project for Prospective Teachers at Pasundan University through the Green Bites Program: Educating about Healthy Menus Based on Local Vegetables

    Low vegetable consumption and the lack of skills in processing local food into healthy meals are ongoing nutritional issues in various regions of Indonesia, including in Cibangkong Village, Bandung City. This activity aims to increase consumption and skills in processing local food into healthy meals by PKK mothers through training in processing local vegetables into Pakcoy Nori and vegetable nuggets. The activity methods include preparation, implementation, and analysis of results. The activity began with observation, training involving PPG Candidate Teacher students and the Faculty of Food Technology, Pasundan University as mentors, and practical training in making Pakcoy Nori and vegetable nuggets. The results of the activity showed improved skills of participants in processing and packaging healthy food products, increased nutritional awareness, and an interest in turning these products into business opportunities. This project concludes that training in appropriate local vegetable processing can be a strategic solution to address nutrition issues, build family food independence, and encourage a sustainable local economy

    The Human Development Index (HDI) measures human development achievements based on a number of basic components of quality of life. The research aims to see the influence of Expected Years of Schooling, Per Capita Expenditure and Percentage of Poor Population on the Human Development Index in North Sumatra Province. The method used in this research is a quantitative method, where the research results are then processed and analyzed to draw conclusions. From several tests, the Random Effect model (REM) was chosen as the best model. The results of the simultaneous test (F-test) of all X variables have an influence on Y variable because the F_count (714.6759) > F_table (3.30) and the test results are proven by a significant value of 0.0000 <0.05, it is concluded that H_1 is accepted and H_0 is rejected. The long-school expectation variable (HLS) (x_1) partially influences HDI in North Sumatra Province because it has a significant value of 0.0000 <0.05 and the value of T_count (15.47633) > T_table (2.039613). The variable per capita expenditure (PP) (x_2) partially influences HDI in North Sumatra Province because it has a significant value of 0.000 <0.05 and the value of T_count (23.32513) > T_table (2.039613). The variable percentage of poor people (PPM) (x_3) partially infuences HDI in North Sumatra Province because it has a significant value of 0.0000 <0.05 and the value of T_count (-4.117351) < T_table (-2.039613)

    ABSTRAK Penelitian yang berjudul “MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS SISWA KELAS XI SMA FQI (FIDES QUAERENS INTELLECTUM) KEFAMENANU MENGGUNAKAN METODE QUANTUM WRITING TAHUN AJARAN 2023/2024 (CLASSROOM ACTION RESEARCH)” bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektif atau tidaknya penggunaan penggunaan quantumwriting untuk meningkatkan ketuntasan siswa kelas XI SMA FQI Kefamenanu dalam menulis bahasa Inggris, mengidentifikasi bagian menulis yang masih sulit dikuasai siswa dalam menulis bahasa Inggris, dan mengkategorikan tingkat penguasaan mereka dalam menulis bahasa Inggris. Untuk mendapatkan data, mereka mengajar dua kali dan memberikan tes dan angket kepada siswa. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata siswa pada pretest adalah 65 dan pada posttest adalah 95. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa mereka mempunyai permasalahan dalam kompetensi menulis. Masalah utama mereka adalah mereka tidak mempunyai kosakata yang cukup untuk menulis dalam bahasa Inggris. Namun, metode penulisan kuantum telah membantu mereka dalam menulis. Oleh karena itu, walaupun tingkat penguasaan mereka hanya cukup pada saat pretest, namun tingkat penguasaan mereka sangat baik pada posttest. Metode ini efektif meningkatkan kompetensi menulis mereka. Temuan ini mengharuskan semua guru bahasa Inggris mempromosikan penulisan kuantum sebagai metode tepat yang dapat membantu siswa menulis dengan baik dalam bahasa Inggris.   Kata Kunci: peningkatan, keterampilan menulis, siswa, SMA FQI, PTK   ABSTRACT This research aims to know whether or not using quantum writing is effective to improve the mastery of XI grade students of SMA FQI Kefamenanu in writing English, identify the part of writing which is still difficult for the students to master writing English, and categorize their level of mastery in writing English. To get the data, they taught twice and give the students test and questionnaire. The results of data analysis show that the students’ average score is 65 in pretest while 95 in posttest. In indicates that they had problems in writing competence. Their dominant problem is that they did not have enough vocabulary to write in English. However, quantum writing method has helped them to write. Therefore, although their level of mastery was just enough in pretest, their level of mastery was excellent in posttest. The method has effectively improved their writing competence. These findings require all teachers of English promote quantum writing as the appropriate method that can help the students to write well in English.   Keywords: improving, writing skill, students, SMA FQI, CA

    Model Pendidikan Matematika Realistik sebagai Upaya Peningkatan Literasi Numerasi Siswa

    The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach in improving students’ numeracy skills through a systematic literature review. Fifteen articles published from 2018 to 2024 were reviewed, with inclusion criteria centered on studies investigating the implementation of RME in mathematics instruction aimed at enhancing numeracy competence. The results of the analysis showed that the application of RME was most often carried out at the elementary school level with 7 articles, followed by junior high school level with 6 articles, and senior high school/vocational school with 2 articles. The materials used in the implementation of RME varied, including whole numbers, number operations, geometry, geometric shapes, trigonometry and systems of linear equations in two variables (SPLDV). In terms of methods, 8 articles used a quantitative approach, 6 articles used classroom action research (CAR), and 1 article was descriptive. In general, all studies showed that RME contributed positively to improving students\u27 numeracy, both in aspects of conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and mathematical representation. However, research limitations are evident in the limited number of studies at the high school/vocational school level and the limited longitudinal research. Therefore, further research is needed to expand the scope to higher education levels and use standardized numeracy evaluation instruments to more comprehensively understand the effectiveness of PMR

    Efektivitas Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Website dengan Model Kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT) terhadap Pemahaman Konsep Himpunan Siswa

    The problem addressed in this study is that many students have not yet mastered basic mathematical concepts, particularly sets. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of developing website-based learning media with the Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning model in enhancing seventh-grade students\u27 understanding of set concepts at MTs Puspa Bangsa. The research methodology employed a quantitative approach using quasi-experimental research with a pretest-posttest control group design involving 60 students divided into experimental and control groups. The research instruments consisted of validated tests for understanding set concepts, student response questionnaires, and learning activity observation sheets. The research findings indicate a significant difference in set concept understanding between students who used NHT learning media compared to those who received conventional instruction (discussion and lecture methods). The experimental group\u27s mean posttest score was 83.44, while the control group scored 66.56. The T-test analysis revealed an F value of 2.186 with a significance level of 0.143, and a calculated t-value of 8.254, which exceeded the table t-value of 1.999, resulting in a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, this study demonstrates that the effectiveness of developing website-based learning media with the NHT cooperative learning model makes a positive contribution to seventh-grade students\u27 understanding of set concepts at MTs Puspa Bangsa and can be recommended as an effective alternative strategy for mathematics instruction

    The Effect of Adding Lumut Banana Fruit Juice in Egg Yolk Citrate Diluent on The Quality of Duroc Boar Spermatozoa

    The aim of this study was to evaluate the use of Ambon green banana extract (SBPAL) in citrate-egg yolk extender (SKT) to preserve Duroc boar semen at a storage temperature of 18-20°C. The study material consisted of healthy Duroc boar semen aged 2 years, accustomed to semen collection. The experiment used a completely randomized design (CRD) with six treatments and five replications: P0 = 100% SKT, P1 = 100% SKT + 10% SBPAL, P2 = 100% SKT + 15% SBPAL, P3 = 100% SKT + 20% SBPAL, P4 = 100% SKT + 25% SBPAL, P5 = 100% SKT + 30% SBPAL. The variables measured included motility, viability, abnormalities, and spermatozoa longevity (LTH). The results showed that the P4 treatment produced the highest spermatozoa quality statistically (P<0.05) compared to the other treatments, with motility: 46.00±2.12%, viability: 53.74±2.42%, abnormality: 4.47±0.84%, and spermatozoa LTH: 55.28±2.40 hours. In conclusion, the addition of 25% SBPAL in the SKT extender effectively maintained the quality of Duroc boar spermatozoa for up to 48 hours of storage
