The Effect of Direct Interaction Strategy in Teaching Reading Comprehension at the Tenth Grade of SMA Negeri Taekas in the Academic Year 2024/2025
This study aimed to examine the effect of the Direct Interaction Strategy on teaching reading comprehension of narrative texts at the tenth grade of SMA Negeri Taekas in the academic year 2024/2025. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with two groups: an experimental class that received instruction using the Direct Interaction Strategy and a control class that was taught using conventional teaching methods. Data were collected using pre-tests and post-tests to measure students\u27 reading comprehension before and after the intervention.The findings reveal a significant improvement in the reading comprehension scores of the experimental class compared to the control class. The experimental group showed an increase from an average pre-test score of 43.6% (categorized as "Very Poor") to a post-test score of 89.86% ("Excellent"), marking a 106% improvement. In contrast, the control class, which was taught using conventional methods, showed minimal improvement, with an average score increase from 30% to only 28.26%, still categorized as "Very Poor." These results indicate that the Direct Interaction Strategy effectively enhances students’ comprehension of narrative texts by fostering engagement, encouraging critical thinking, and providing real-time feedback. The study concludes that implementing the Direct Interaction Strategy in teaching reading comprehension significantly benefits students\u27 understanding of narrative texts. Therefore, it is recommended that educators incorporate this approach into their teaching practices to optimize students’ learning outcomes
Zone of Concept Image Differences in the Concept of Angles Formed by A Transversal at Undergraduate Level
This study explored the differences in undergraduate students\u27 concept images related to angles formed by a transversal intersecting any two lines compared with concept definition. Using diagnostic tests and interviews, the qualitative study with phenomenological design examined various student representations and common error patterns. Students\u27 answers were analyzed qualitatively to identify patterns, misconceptions, and variations in their concept images, followed by semi-structured interviews to explore their justifications. Participants were 35 second-semester students from the mathematics education study program at a state university in Aceh, Indonesia, who had completed the plane geometry course. The findings revealed significant variations in students\u27 concept images, which were: (1) pairs of alternate interior/exterior angles, corresponding angles, and same-side interior/exterior angles were formed when two parallel lines were intersected by a transversal; (2) the measure of corresponding angles must be equal; (3) the measure of alternate interior angles must be equal; (4) the measure of alternate exterior angles must be equal; (5) the measure of same-side interior angles must be equal; and (6) misunderstanding and incorrectly identifying alternate exterior angles. These results highlight the importance of adapting teaching approaches to address differences in concept images and to better support students in mastering geometric concepts. The novelty lies in its use of the Zone of Concept Image Differences to analyze the gap between students\u27 concept images and formal definitions, offering insights into how to bridge these gaps in teaching
Ancaman Krisis Utang Luar Negeri: Analisis Kualitatif Dari Dampak dan Solusi Alternatifnya
Indonesia memiliki masalah dengan permodalan sebagai negara berkembang. Modal dibagi menjadi dua: modal dalam negeri dan modal luar negeri, atau utang. Akibatnya, Indonesia lebih suka menggunakan utang luar negeri untuk membiayai ekonominya dengan cepat dan mudah. Perekonomian akan terkena dampak dari penggunaan utang luar negeri ini, baik dalam jangka pendek maupun panjang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apa saja dampak dari krisis utang dan bagaimana solusinya. Hasil dari penelitian kualitatif ini adalah, ULN sebenarnya dapat memberikan dampak yang baik, akan tetapi apabila tidak dikelola secara rapi akan berdampak buruk bagi negara, dari persoalan tersebut maka perlu adanya solusi yang tepat untuk menghadapi ancaman krisis utang yaitu dengan peningkatan ekspor, pengajuan keringanan ke negara debitur, peningkatan investasi, dan penggunaan konsep islam dalam ULN
EVOLUSI PEMIKIRAN MASYARAKAT DALAM NOVEL BUMI MANUSIA: PENDEKATAN SOSIOLOGI SASTRA AUGUSTE COMTE
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis representasi tiga tahap perkembangan pemikiran masyarakat Indonesia menurut teori Auguste Comte, yakni tahap teologis, metafisik, dan positivistic dalam novel Bumi Manusia karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah kualitatif deskriptif-analitis. Sumber data utama berupa teks novel Bumi Manusia, sementara data pendukung berasal dari literatur terkait teori sosiologi sastra dan konteks sosial novel. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik baca dan catat, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis isi yang berfokus pada pengelompokan dan interpretasi data sesuai teori yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tahap teologis tercermin dalam narasi yang menggambarkan keyakinan terhadap kekuatan supranatural, seperti pandangan terhadap Annelies sebagai "kekasih para dewa." Tahap metafisik terlihat dalam refleksi filosofis terkait status sosial dan moralitas, seperti kritik terhadap budaya patriarki kolonial yang merendahkan perempuan pribumi. Tahap positivistik tergambar dalam penghargaan terhadap ilmu pengetahuan, pendidikan, dan rasionalitas modern, seperti dalam pengakuan Minke terhadap pentingnya teknologi cetak. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada kajian sosiologi sastra dengan menawarkan perspektif evolusi pemikiran masyarakat yang tercermin dalam Bumi Manusia. Implikasinya, pembaca dapat memahami novel Bumi Manusia sebagai cerminan perubahan sosial dan intelektual, sekaligus memperoleh wawasan tentang relevansi sejarah pemikiran tersebut terhadap kondisi masyarakat kontemporer
DRAMATURGI BAHASA DALAM MEDIA AUDIOVISUAL: MENGUNGKAP IDENTITAS SOSIAL MELALUI PILIHAN BAHASA DALAM FILM PULANG
Penelitian ini mengkaji bagaimana bahasa membentuk identitas sosial dalam film Pulang dengan pendekatan teori dramaturgi Erving Goffman. Analisis dilakukan pada dialog tokoh-tokoh untuk memahami dinamika panggung depan (pertunjukan publik) dan belakang panggung (diri otentik). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan teknik analisis deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui metode dokumentasi dengan teknik pencatatan dari film Pulang yang diunggah di YouTube. Validitas data diperkuat melalui uji kredibilitas dengan pengamatan secara cermat, melakukan triangulasi berdasarkan teori. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pilihan bahasa dalam film mencerminkan status sosial dan strategi identitas karakter. Narti dan Djayusman menggunakan Jawa Ngoko dalam interaksi pribadi mereka tetapi beralih ke bahasa Indonesia dalam interaksi formal. Tokoh Bapak memilih bahasa Indonesia formal sebagai strategi manajemen kesan untuk menyamarkan stigma masa lalunya, tetapi sesekali menggunakan bahasa Jawa untuk beradaptasi dengan lingkungan sekitar. Pak KS secara fleksibel beralih kode antara bahasa Indonesia dan Jawa untuk menyeimbangkan otoritas dan kedekatan sosial. Sementara itu, Naila dan Polsuska lebih banyak menggunakan bahasa Indonesia formal untuk menegaskan profesionalisme mereka. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa bahasa dalam film bukan hanya sarana komunikasi, tetapi juga strategi sosial yang mencerminkan hierarki, stigma, dan integrasi budaya. Pergeseran bahasa dalam interaksi sosial mencerminkan dinamika negosiasi identitas di ruang publik dan pribadi dan menunjukkan bagaimana film mewakili realitas masyarakat multikultural secara otentik, sekaligus membuktikan bahwa manusia memiliki backstage depan dan front stage yang tercermin dari penggunaan bahasa
PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN GROUP INVESTIGATION TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS
Abstrak
Kemampuan berpikir kritis perlu dimiliki setiap siswa, agar siswa mampu memecahkan suatu permasalahan yang ditemukan. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan guru untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yaitu dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation. Group Investigation merupakan model pembelajaran dimana kegiatan pembelajarannya melibatkan siswa dalam kelompok kecil untuk melakukan penyelidikan. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Group Investigation terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMA. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu (Quasi Experiment) dengan desain penelitian Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh model pembelajaran Group Investigation terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMA.

The ability to think critically must be owned by each student, so that students are able to solve a problem that is found. Efforts that can be done by teachers to improve students\u27 critical thinking ability is by applying cooperative learning model of Group Investigation type Group Investigation is a learning model where the learning activities involve students in small groups to conduct investigations The purpose of this research is to know the influence of Group Investigation study model to critical thinking ability of high school students. The design of this research is quasi experimental research with Non Equivalent Control Group Design research design. Date were analyzed by using t-test. The result of research shows that there is influence of Group Investigation study model to critical thinking ability of high school students
The Practicality of Local Potential-Based Booklets as Enrichment Materials for the Concept of Biodiversity in High Schools: Kepraktisan Booklet Berbasis Potensi Lokal sebagai Bahan Pengayaan Konsep Keanekaragaman Hayati di SMA
Twenty one century education requires educators to have innovative and creative skills in developing teaching materials to support the achievement of learning objectives. One of the teaching materials that can be developed is a booklet. Booklets include printed teaching materials that have the advantage of not requiring an internet connection in accessing them, presenting colorful content, attractive images or illustrations. Booklet development can contain plant diversity material based on local potential, like Moraceae family. Moraceae plants are often encountered by students in their daily lives. Booklet development involves product feasibility testing, one of which is validity. This study aims to describe the validity of the developed booklet. This development research (R&D) uses the Plomp model which consists of 5 stages. The booklet validity test results obtained a score of 91.40% (very valid). The test results show that the developed booklet is ready to be implemented as an enrichment material for the concept of biodiversity because it has fulfilled 12 aspects of the validity of teaching materials and has been revised so that it has good quality. The material in the booklet is designed to adjust the competence of students, the demands of the curriculum, and based on scientific principles
Analysis of the Application of Differentiated Learning in High School Biology Lessons: Analisis Penerapan Pembelajaran Berdiferensiasi Pada Pelajaran Biologi SMA
The times and needs of students require adjustments in the education system. The Merdeka Curriculum is a way out of this problem by providing space for students to learn according to their interests and learning styles. In its implementation, differentiated learning is the main approach which aims to create a fun and meaningful learning experience, especially in essential material such as biology. This research aims to determine the application of differentiated learning in biology lessons at the high school level. Using descriptive qualitative methods, the research was conducted from October to November 2024 involving several biology teachers at Banten Province High Schools as samples. Data was collected through structured interviews based on instruments prepared in accordance with the research objectives. The research results show that differentiated learning has been implemented by adapting learning models and methods to student characteristics. This differentiation approach has a positive impact on teachers and students, such as increasing student activity and more effective understanding of the material and freedom for teachers to adjust learning. However, its effectiveness is highly dependent on student motivation and the challenges teachers face, both from internal and external classroom factors. Therefore, evaluation is the key to improving the quality of learning for better education in the future
Review of Pedagogical Knowledge Through the Use of GeoGebra for Junior High School Students in Improving Learning Outcomes on Straight Line Equation Material
The purpose of this study was to determine that the teacher\u27s Pedagogical Knowledge in utilizing technology by using the GeoGebra application can improve the learning outcomes of junior high school students on the material of straight line equations. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) conducted in two cycles with the success indicator of 70% classical completeness. The research instruments used include observation sheets and test question sheets, with data collection techniques in the form of written tests and observations. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII A of St. Aloysius Niki-Niki Catholic Junior High School in the academic year 2023/2024, totaling 28 students. The results showed that through Pedagogical Knowledge of teachers in the utilization of technology by using the GeoGebra application can improve the learning outcomes of junior high school students on the material of straight line equations
UJI ANTIBAKTERI DARI EKSTRAK DAUN SIRIH HIJAU (Piper Betle L) ASAL KABUPATEN MALAKA TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BAKTERI Escherichia coli
Penelitian ekstrak daun sirih hijau (piper betle L) Dari Kabupaten Malaka dan uji antibakteri terhadap bakteri Escherichia coli. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tumbuhan daun sirih hijau sebagai tambahan obat untuk mengobati penyakit sariawan, perdarahan gusi, batuk, keputihan dan obat kulit. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri yang terdapat dalam daun sirih hijau terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri Escherichia coli. Tahapan penelitian meliputi preparasi sampel, ekstraksi secara maserasi dan uji aktivitas antibakteri. Hasil uji aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak methanol daun sirih hijau di peroleh diameter zona hambat pada konsentrasi 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, dan 100%. Yaitu 20,1933 ± 0,0513, 21,1900 ± 0,0100, 22,1433 ± 0,0404, 23,1767 ± 0,0252, dan 24,2533 ± 0,0058. Nilai diameter zona hambat ekstrak daun sirih hijau tergolong sangat kuat
