    Novel adalah sebuah karya sastra yang merefleksikan kompleksitas kehidupan manusia melalui penggambaran realitas sosial, psikologis, dan emosional serta mencerminkan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan dan moralitas yang mendalam. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji penggambaran karakter tokoh utama serta konflik sosial yang ada dalam novel Dua Barista karya Najhaty Sharma. Penelitian ini berfokus pada karakter Ahvash sebagai tokoh utama, serta konflik sosial yang tercermin dalam narasi yang menggambarkan realitas kehidupan di pesantren dan budaya patriarki disekitarnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode analisis teks untuk mengidentifikasi karakteristik tokoh serta dinamika konflik sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Ahvash merupakan sosok yang sopan, cerdas, dan bertanggung jawab, dengan latar belakang keluarga yang memiliki tradisi pesantren yang kental. Konflik sosial yang diangkat dalam novel ini meliputi isu-isu seperti diskriminasi gender, poligami, budaya patriarki, serta tekanan sosial yang dialami perempuan di lingkungan pesantren. Analisis ini mengungkap cara penggambaran karakter dan konflik sosial dalam novel, yang mencerminkan dinamika kehidupan masyarakat serta nilai-nilai sosial yang sedang berkembang

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan struktur kepribadian tokoh Salma dalam novel “Thank You Salma” karya Erisca Febriani menggunakan Teori Psikoanalisis Sigmund Freud yang terbagi atas id, ego, dan superego. Metode deskriptif kualitatif relevan dalam penelitian ini, dengan wujud data berupa kutipan teks yang bersumber dari novel “Thank You Salma” karya Erisca Febriani. Kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik: mengkategorisasikan bagian-bagian teks yang dikutip ke dalam struktur kepriadian tokoh Salma dalam tiga kategori yakni, id, ego, den superego; selanjutnya menginterpretasi dan menguraikan dalam bentuk deskripsi, kemudian memberi penyimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, struktur kepribadian tokoh Salma  dipengaruhi oleh 11 id, sembilan ego, dan tujuh superego. Id dalam diri Salma muncul karena dorongan atas sikapnya yang egois, perbedaan pendapat dengan Nathan, dan selalu mengekang apa yang Nathan lakukan. Ego dalam diri Salma bertugas meredakan kecemasan-kecemasan yang dirasakan mengenai karir masa depannya, kisah percintaanya dengan Nathan, dan trauma peleceham yang ia alami. Superego muncul sebagai bentuk hati nurani untuk mengendalikan sikap dan tingkah laku Salma yang egois dan tidak terkontrol. Kata Kunci: psikoanalisis, struktur kepribadian, novel Thank You Salm

    Analyzing Students’ Cognitive Processes on Trigonometric Functions beyond 90 Degrees through the DAPIC Framework

    Understanding trigonometric functions at angles beyond 90 degrees presents unique cognitive challenges for students, requiring the integration of conceptual, procedural, and representational knowledge. However, research exploring how students cognitively process such problems, especially within a structured framework, remains limited. This study aims to analyze students’ cognitive processes in solving trigonometric problems involving beyond-90-degree angles through the DAPIC framework (Define, Assess, Plan, Implement, Communicate), offering a novel application of DAPIC to this underexplored context. A qualitative case study approach was employed, involving six 11th-grade students from a public high school with varying cognitive levels. Data were collected through diagnostic tasks, think-aloud protocols, and semi-structured interviews, and were analyzed by mapping students’ thinking patterns, defined as the recurring sequences of cognitive moves and representation use observed across DAPIC stages. The results reveal that high-performing students demonstrated flexible shifts between symbolic, graphical, and unit circle representations and were capable of self-regulating their errors reflectively. In contrast, students with moderate and low performance encountered difficulties in identifying the quadrant of angles and understanding the periodic nature of trigonometric functions, particularly during the Assess and Plan stages. Adaptive strategies, such as visual re-checking or intuitive quadrant reasoning, emerged spontaneously but were not always effective. These findings suggest that DAPIC serves as a systematic tool for capturing the dynamics of students’ thinking processes and offers valuable insights for developing deeper instructional strategies in trigonometry, especially for topics involving beyond-90-degree angles

    Investment Risk Analysis Using Value at Risk With Monte Carlo Simulation: Investment risk analysis

    This study aims to evaluate and compare the investment risk levels of three primary financial instruments in Indonesia: the Indonesia Composite Index (IHSG), Bank Central Asia (BCA) with code BBCA stock, and gold. Using the Value at Risk (VaR) approach based on Monte Carlo simulation, the research integrates these assets into a unified risk assessment model, providing a more comprehensive perspective than prior studies that typically examine individual assets or use historical estimation methods. Monthly historical price data from April 2024 to March 2025 were obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange and the Central Bureau of Statistics. The analysis involved calculating asset returns, means, and standard deviations, followed by 10,000 Monte Carlo simulation iterations to generate potential future price paths and estimate losses under market uncertainty. The results, at a 95% confidence level, show that IHSG carries the highest investment risk, with a VaR of IDR 9,331.16, followed closely by BBCA stock at IDR 9,210.31. Gold exhibited the lowest risk level, with a VaR of IDR 6,896.86, confirming its role as a more stable and less volatile investment compared to equity-based assets. These findings highlight the reliability of gold as a defensive asset during turbulent market conditions. The application of Monte Carlo simulation effectively captures the non-normal distribution of returns and accommodates complex market behaviors, making it a robust tool for financial risk modeling. This research offers meaningful insights for investors, analysts, and academics in optimizing portfolio strategies and improving risk management decisions

    Influence of Audio Visual Media Based on Project Based Learning (PjBL) on Students\u27 Mathematical Reasoning Ability at College ERIA Medan High School

    This study discusses the influence of audio-visual media based on Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning towards the students’ mathematical reasoning at SMA Perguruan ERIA Medan. The sample technique was Purposive Sample with the type of Pre-Experimental Design (non-desaign) research. In this research design, only one class is used, namely the experimental class. In the learning process, treatment is given using audio-visual learning media based on Project Based Learning (PjBL).Data analysis used desciptive tests, normality tests, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test. Hypothesis testing used a simple linier regression test. The results of the study showed that the equation Y = 19,892 – 0,310X, with = 10.359 and significance value = 0.000 obtained the value of   which is 10.359>2,0484 with a significance level of less than ∝ = 0,05. From the calculation results obtained the value of  indicating that audio-visual media based on Project Based Learning (PjBL) towards the students’ mathematical reasoning of SMA Perguruan Eria Medan has a positive effect with a percentage of 79,3% including the high category. While acquisition of the students’responses was 82,3%. So, it can be stated that learning using audio-visual media based on Project Based Learning (PjBL) gets a positive response

    Implementation of Mathventure in Strengthening Students’ Numeracy Skills at Hegarmanah Islamic Junior High School

    Numeracy skills are a crucial aspect in supporting students\u27 skills in facing real-life challenges. This article explains the implementation of Mathventure in Community Service activities integrated into the Campus Mengajar Batch 8 activities in 2024 at Hegarmanah Islamic Junior High School, Sukabumi Regency, as an innovation in project-based contextual numeracy learning. This program aims to improve numeracy understanding and interest in mathematical concepts through an approach that is relevant to everyday life. The subjects consisted of 30 students from class VIII who would carry out the Minimum Competency Assessment. The methods used included the Minimum Competency Assessment test, observation, interviews, and documentation. The program was implemented in three stages: pre-assignment, implementation of activities and the final stage of assignments. The results of the activities showed an increase in participation, understanding of concepts, and 21st century skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, and communication. The pre-test score results ranged from 5–45, while the post-test showed an increase with a range of 30–80. These findings show that the Mathventure program with a project-based approach has proven effective in bridging the gap between theory and practice, as well as strengthening the character of active and independent learning of students

    Pelaksanaan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa berbasis dengan teknologi aplikasi GeoGebra pada pelajaran matematika dalam beberapa topik materi yang akan meningkattkan rasa keingintahuan siswa dalam memecahkan persoalan matematis. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan dalam melakukan penelitian terdiri atas tahapan (1) perencanaan (2) sosialisasi dan (3) evaluasi. Waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk pelaksanaan penelitian penggunaan aplikasi GeoGebra ini memiliki estimasi waktu selama 9 hari yakni dimulai sejak 1-10 November 2023 bertempat di SMA Negeri 1 Cibeber, dengan partisipan sejumlah 2 orang ahli, 2 orang pengajar, 8 orang mahasiswa, dan 30 orang siswa pada waktu pelaksanaan. Dari penelitian tersebut didapatkan hasil berdasarkan validitas para pakar dan praktisi, dari 30 siswa yang telah menggunakan teknologi aplikasi GeoGebra sebagai media pembelajaran didapat banyak respon positif. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa sosialisasi hasil pengembangan teknologi aplikasi GeoGebra meningkatkan minat belajar pada pemahaman siswa dalam belajar matematika

    ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi unsur-unsur etnomatematika pada manisan Cianjur, serta potensinya sebagai sumber pembelajaran kontekstual pada mata pelajaran matematika. Pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode etnografi digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam dengan pembuat manisan tradisional, serta dokumentasi proses produksi. Penelitian ini menggunakan human instrument, di mana peneliti berperan langsung sebagai pengumpul data dengan berinteraksi langsung dalam lingkungan penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi aktivitas pembuatan manisan, wawancara untuk memahami aspek budaya dan matematis, serta dokumentasi untuk merekam pola dan proses yang terlibat.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya berbagai konsep matematika, seperti geometri dalam bentuk dan susunan manisan, aritmatika sosial dalam pengelolaan biaya dan bahan, sistem persamaan linear tiga variabel (SPLTV) dalam penghitungan proporsi bahan, serta peluang dalam variasi rasa dan hasil produksi. Temuan ini menunjukkan relevansi dan signifikansi etnomatematika dalam pendidikan matematika, terutama dalam mengaitkan konsep abstrak dengan konteks budaya lokal. Selain itu, interaksi budaya dalam proses pembuatan manisan memperkaya pemahaman siswa mengenai hubungan antara tradisi lokal dan konsep matematis.  Integrasi etnomatematika manisan Cianjur ke dalam pembelajaran kontekstual memungkinkan siswa untuk memahami konsep matematika melalui pengalaman budaya yang relevan. Hal ini tidak hanya meningkatkan minat belajar, tetapi juga memperkuat pemahaman konsep secara lebih mendalam. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan materi pembelajaran berbasis etnomatematika sebagai upaya menghubungkan matematika dengan budaya lokal, sekaligus melestarikan warisan budaya daerah.&nbsp

    Misconception is one of the problems that is often found in the learning process, this is because of the discrepancy between the concepts that students have with the actual concept. Misconceptions that continue to occur without realizing it will cause students difficulty in receiving learning. This study aims to identify the factors that cause misconceptions that occur in students using the Five-Tier test and questionnaire. The population in this study were students of grade XI of SMA Negeri 1 Jakenan. The sample in the study were students of class XI-10 SMA Negeri 1 Jakenan. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The data collection method used a five-tier question instrument to measure misconceptions in students and their sources and a questionnaire instrument was used to find out the causes of misconceptions in students. The results showed that 21.76% of students had misconceptions. Based on the results of research using a five-tier question, the sources of information used by students in answering the questions were highest from personal thoughts of 80.38%, teachers 0.48%, internet 8.92, friends 17.94%, and books 5.61%. The results obtained from the question are directly proportional to the results of the causes of misconceptions using questionnaire instruments, based on questionnaire data, the percentage of causes of misconceptions is 61.11% from students, 15.56% from teachers, 40.56% from the internet, 45% from friends, and 25% from books

    Mapping of Flood-Prone Areas in Malaka Regency Based on WebGIS Using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) Method

    Malaka Regency in East Nusa Tenggara Province is a flood-prone area, mainly due to high rainfall and the overflow of the Benenain River, the largest watershed in the province. This study aims to map flood-prone areas using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method integrated into a WebGIS-based decision support system. The variables considered include rainfall, land use, slope, topography, and river flow. The analysis resulted in three flood vulnerability classifications: low (Laenmanen, Iokafeu, Botinleobele, Sasitamean), moderate (Kobalima, Kobalima Timur, Malaka Timur, Rinhat), and high (Malaka Tengah, Malaka Barat, Weliman, Wewiku).
