Medical care education for junior college students
In recent years there has been an increase in the number of children requiring medical care. At our institution, therefore, starting in the 2005 academic year, the medical care skill training for junior college students in the Nursing Practicum I course has not been conducted as a special type of medical care; rather, we have incorporated it in Nursing Practicum 1 that is required for Yogo teachers. After taking this course, 80 percent of students can explain aspiration of phlegm and tubal feeding. Half of students can explain clean intermittent self-catheterization. In response to a question on whether they were confident in conducting tubal feeding, 40 percent answered that they were "confident" or "somewhat confident." The remaining 60 percent responded "not very confident" or "not confident." This indicates a need for investigation of the time and method of medical care education for junior college students.9KJ00006320139論文journal articl
