Get PDF近世の熊野は,広大な森林地帯から大量の木炭が江戸市場へ販売された.新宮水野家の専売政策であった.新宮川(熊野川)流域の山村で焼かれた炭は,川船で新宮の池田御炭役所へ運ばれ,川畔に建ち並ぶ炭納屋に貯えられ,江戸市場の状況をみて廻船で送られ,炭問屋の手を経て売り捌かれた.17世紀後半,水野家では江戸屋敷へ常勤する家臣が増加したため,諸経費の捻出に毎年江戸へは15万～20万俵位の炭を送ってその益金をあてた.領内の山村では,山林地主などの焼主が食糧や資金を焼子に前貸し,焼いた炭で返済させた.また川船へ積み込む所まで,炭を運ぶ人足を常に確保しなければならなかった.これらはすべて農民で,平時は農耕を営み,農閑期に作間稼ぎとして炭の生産や運搬にたずさわった.炭が高騰して販売するチャンスであるのに新宮には炭の貯えがなく,池田御役所の炭方役人が村々へ出向いて焼主たちにきびしい催促をしたり,大庄屋-庄屋の行政組織を活用して出荷を求めている.炭の焼き出しに山村へかなり過酷な負担を強いることもあったが,反面大量の炭の買い付けは,疲弊に苦しむ農民の救済と山村の再生に一定の効果をもたらした.14KJ00005073335研究ノートResearch Notejournal articl

Transportation and Community Development for Tourism : Issues and Efforts of Suzuka City
Get PDFAlthough there are 4.5 million tourists a year, Suzuka city still needs to improve its insufficient infrastructures to connect scattered tourism resources. As far as transportation is concerned, the city is overwhelmingly motorized and relies on an inconvenient public transportation system. While possessing important value, most of the tourism resources are not fully utilized due to the inadequate transportation system of the city. With this in mind, it is necessary to focus on transportation systems in Suzuka city to revitalize the city and form an attractive community. Get PDFThe unique and diverse fields that encompass the study of Kumano include the natural environment, folklore, history, culture, and places of worship. The shared resources that are indispensable to human beings provide a research foundation for the relationship between the natural environment and culture; the relationship being one that is fostered by worship carried out in deep mountains and valleys, where local people believe gods reside. Ever since Kumano was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage site in July, 2004 under the "Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range", as many as 150 thousand tourists and fans of Kumano Kodo have been visiting this place annually. As a result, aspects of the ancient history of the Kumano area have come to attract nationwide attention and reevaluation. A Subjective Report of Pragmalinguistic Failure
Get PDFThis paper begins with a subjective history of the writer's L2 (Japanese) learning experience. It i followed by a detailed description of three instances of pragmalinguistic failure, each related to th correct use of keigo (honourific formal Japanese according to many definitions). Keigo is both a indispensable part of sociolinguistic life in Japan and a major linguistic challenge to almost all foreig Japanese language learners, and even some native Japanese speakers. To be exact, the speech act concern requesting/asking another person to do something, offering to do something for another person and statements indicating that a third party has done something for one's self. The language difficultie stem from both the complexity of the grammar and from wakimae, or rather the lack of wakimae, whic can be defined as the innate awareness of one's societal position in relation to other's societal positio and also the situation actors find themselves in at the time of speaking (Ide et al. 1992). This sort o social knowledge is a necessary element for the skillful use of keigo. Wakimae, or lack thereof, alon with imperfect knowledge of keigo grammar rules, is considered a significant source of this Japanes language learner's pragmatic troubles. Faith Succession in the Church : From Pastor's Wife to Pastor's Wife

Consequently, as for the success factor of (1) faith succession, the posture in which encouragement of worship attendance, duty and parents are steadfast is mentioned. (2) If intention understanding of parent and child can be aimed at well, the style of educational instruction is various and good. (3) The role assignment of a pastor and a pastor's wife and pastors' wives' role assignment are effective.
