Sui Dynasty Now and Then, and the Origin of Tendai Buddhism before the Visit of Saicho(Japanese Buddhist Monk) during the Tang Dynasty.
Get PDFThis year in particular, there has been much discussion about many topics regarding the relationship between Japan and the People's Republic of China (RPC) . A visit to Japan in May by Hu Jintao, President of the PRC, with issues such as food safety, Japan's rescue operations for the 2008 Great Sichuan Earthquake, and the 2008 Beijing Olympics in August with 204 participating nations and regions are still fresh in our memory. Unfortunately, many problems between the two countries still remain unresolved despite a long history of mutual exchanges. In June 2007, I had an opportunity to go and pay homage at temples on Mt. Tendai (Tendaisan) and Putuo (Fudasan) which are regarded as sacred mountains in Chinese Buddhism. This thesis will review my visit to China and provide evidence for the cultural bridge built by many predecessors who overcame great hardships. In particular, this thesis will focus on the famous and not so famous priests who contributed significantly to the development and propagation of Tendai Buddhism. These priests, who went to China to study Buddhism, as well as those who visited Japan from China, will be remembered with respect and gratitude.11KJ00005335979研究論文Research Paperjournal articl

They are tired in junior college life, and feel dull to class. Their experiences in practice teaching in preschool evoke those feelings. In the process of practice teaching, theyreduce their motivation to want to be a child care giver. Then they lose their purposes of `learning'.We regard `escape from learning' as a certain problem about participation to a community of practice. This means we regard `leaning' as participation to communities of practice. Finding employment situation of Dietitian course student's : Measures in the future
Get PDF学生の就職決定時期や就職先、求人状況などの実態を把握するために調査を行い、次のような結果を得た。1)学生の約半数は、栄養士として就職する。2)栄養士としての就職先は、給食会社が2/3を占める。3)年内に就職が決まっている学生は約半数である。4)栄養士の求人件数は、4月から6月に全体の5割、4月から12 月に全体の9割ある。5)進路希望を変更した学生には、就きたい職業がない。6)進路支援時期を早めに設定することが必要であることがわかった。To understand the realities of finding employment of the student, it investigated.The results were as follow:1)Half of students become dietitians.2)Feeding service company occupies 2/3 finding employment as the dietitian.3)Finding employment is decided to half of students within the year.4)The job offer number of dietitians was 50 percent to June from April, and 90 percent toDecember from April.5)The student who changes finding employment hope doesn't have the purpose.6)It has been understood that making the time of the course support early is necessary.16KJ00006246939論文journal articl
Some Issues of Foreign Studesnts in a Japanese School:A Pilot Study in Mie
Get PDFThis paper focuses on issues facing foreign students currently studying in a junior high school in Japan. A questionnaire was given to these students to determine what issues they face and the results are discussed below. The author introduces some measures to support the students by the school. In addition, the author makes some suggestions for creating a better environment of the "internationalized classrooms" and how it can be maintained.This questionnaire, as a pilot study, was conducted in a junior -*high school of Mie Prefecture in February through March 2007. The questions the subjects were asked are (1) what language(s) they use to talk with their parents/families at home, (2) how much they use Japanese daily, (3) how much they usually understand the contents in social studies class, (4) how much they usually understand the contents in mathematics class, (5) if they are interested in studying Japanese, (6) if they are studying Japanese in a supplementary class, (7) if they are interested in studying English, and (8) if they are studying the languages of their own countries.The results demonstrate the students' multi-nationalization with a variety of their native languages. The Final End of Creation and the Moral Proof of the Existence of God:A Study of Immanuel Kant's Critique of the Power of Judgment
Get PDFAs is well-known, Kant proposed in Critique of Pure Reason (1781) three questions that should guide him in the development of his critical philosophy: `What can I know?', `What should I do?' and `What may I hope?' And he was convinced that he had given in Critique of Pure Reason to the first question and in Critique of Practical Reason (1788) to the third as well as the second question a complete answer. Yet, he could not stay in his conviction. That is testified by his letter to Carl Friedrich Staudlin on May 4, 1793, in which he tells that he could give only in the new published book, Religion within the boundaries of mere Reason, a complete answer to the third question. This leads us to notice the importance of Critique of the Power of Judgment (1790). We can reasonably suppose that Kant supplemented in that work his answer to the first question and consequently saw the necessity of reinforcing his answer to the third question. I interpret Critique of the Power of Judgment from this perspective. First, I argue that the reflective judgment is the clue to the exposition of Kant's revision of his own answers. In my opinion, Kant explicates that the reflective power of judgment in its teleological use opens up vistas on a worldview that looks out at the world as a systematic, harmonious whole at the top of which humankind, as `the final end of creation', stands. Based on this, he establishes then `ethikotheology', validating the moral proof of God. It is now acknowledged as belonging to our reasonable hopes that God as the creator of the moral world exists and as the moral legislator rules the world. And the important corollary is drawn from here: the establishment of a moral community of humankind under the dominion and protection of God. Foreign Direct Investment A General Overview of Its Forms, Trends, Incentives and Spillover Effects
Get PDFCurrent foreign direct investment (FDI) trends reflect the age of globalization that we are in today. The investment inflows into various sectors, infrastructure projects and nations and the outflows from organizations, sovereign wealth funds and investors all over the world are rising. The majority of this FDI is in the form of mergers and acquisitions (M&As), to a lesser extent through Greenfield Investment and although still a small wedge of the total FDI global pie, sovereign wealth funds have sharply increased their global presence over the past few years. Transnational corporations (TNCs), which are the driving force of much of this investment, are seeking new markets, resources and conditions that enable them to benefit stakeholders. Favourable host nation regulations aimed at providing attractive conditions to TNCs have continued to be adopted throughout the world while at the same time so too have unfavourable ones (for TNCs) in recent years as some host nations have been created more cautious policies towards foreign organizations. One could speculate that this exhibits a desire by host nations to create favourable conditions within their economies while at the same time ensuring that policies and investment are more targeted at awarding spin-offs from the investments that are sustainable and diffuse through the local and national market. Properly implemented FDI incentive packages with mutual benefits for all stakeholders are key to all parties involved. The benefits for host nations are the spillover effects that contribute to economic stability, more skilled labour, innovation into similar or new sectors, higher productivity and quality standards, new technology, improved infrastructure and overall improvements to hard and soft technologies transferred to the local marketplace. In order for this to be achieved, clearly targeted policies must be established and enforced in order to promote the true benefit of FDI - that is the spillovers to the economy. It is in the best interest of all stakeholders that expectations are stipulated when crafting policy. Failure to do so will result in unsustainable advantages but doing so will surely promote an environment where all can enjoy the benefits of FDI.20KJ00005337659Reserch Paperjournal articl

Get PDFThe 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami devastated Aceh, Indonesia. Tsunami remarks and experiences have created a variety of narratives. A leaflet of tsunami tourism issued by the Indonesian government is one of them. Through an analysis of the leaflet, this paper examines what meanings the sate gives the disaster and Acehnese tsunami experiences and how it depicts the past and future of their society in an elaborate Islamic context.
