Time-honoured Japanese Etiquette --Adapted to Modern Everyday Life--

    Get PDF
Japanese etiquette has been observed and practiced from ancient times, and is in the process of changing. It is difficult to maintain the traditional forms of etiquette, let alone apply them to our rapidly changing lifestyle. Classic etiquette tends to be viewed as rigid and uncomfortable in our modern society. The morals that come from our heart do not change over time, whereas etiquette is required to adapt to the current time, and continues to evolve. The adaptation of Japanese etiquette will be explored and examined from a practical viewpoint in this report.14KJ00008333819研究ノートResearch Notejournal articl

    More Than a School

Today Canada is known as a country that supports multiculturalism, a national policy that attempts to promote respect for the unique cultures that immigrants bring with them when they make Canada their new homeland. This policy has gained international attention as it has been credited with maintaining a peaceful society despite 30 – 40 years of high levels ofimmigration. This has not always been the case. Prior to 1961, Canadian immigration policy was heavily slanted towards ensuring that a dominant Anglicized society prevail and visible minorities faced open discrimination. The Japanese-Canadian community, particularly between the years 1942 – 49, when they finally gained full-citizenship rights, experienced one of the most notorious, long-term examples of government-sponsored discrimination. However, by 1949 the Japanese-Canadian community was in danger of assimilating completely into the dominant Anglo-Canadian society and in response some members of the JapaneseCanadian community in Toronto founded the Toronto Japanese Language School (TJLS). After more than 60 years of educational service to Canadian society the TJLS stands as a reminder of an earlier, darker time in Canada's history and also points to an ever more inclusive future.16KJ00008333979研究論文Research Paperjournal articl

The integration enables the teams to maintain a stablecondition. The purpose of this paper is to clarify the relationship between the two powers (the diffusion and the integration) and theperformance of the athletic teams. An investigation into the powers, described above, was conducted with college teams .As a result, the players have become more satisfied with their team activities and the results that occur when both thediffusion and the integration are strong. Die Entwicklung der Leben-Jesu-Philosophie von Kant zu Feuerbach (2) or The Development of the Philosophy of Jesus' Life from Kant to Feuerbach (2)

In this part I deal with Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel's views on Jesus' Life which are stated in his Early Theological Writings. Inspired by Kant's Religion within the Boundaries of Mere Reason, Hegel wrote a short piece entitled "Das Leben Jesu (The Life of Jesus)" in 1795. Although it is apt to be regarded as his trial writing, the piece signifies in my opinion his decisive development from Kant's theory. Kant suggested the way to interprete Jesus in his historical personality, characterizing Jesus' existence as "the personified idea of the good principle". But the detailed description of his life in the contemporary situation had yet to be elaborated. In point of fact, Hegel took over this task. He tried to describe Jesus as the ideal teacher of morality in the Kantian sense. Comparing his statements in "The Life of Jesus" with accounts of the Gospels, I examine how he paraphrases Jesus' words, as well as how he composes the whole plot. From this I point out that he accentuates so much Jesus' confrontation with the folk community as the obstacle that foils the latter's intention of morality that his views tone more unfavorable to the Jewish community than the stories of the Gospels. His stance grows in intensity in his next piece which was afterwards entitled "The Positivity of the Christian Religion". I also deal with this piece and explain that Jesus is here described not as consistentin his action as well as intention, but as falling victim to the authoritarian community and causing a sect called Christianity. In my opinion Hegel confirms through these arguments his critical position on Christianity as a "positive" religion and seeks to surpass Kant's moral philosophy which forms the fundamentals of his views on Jesus' life.17KJ00008333999研究論文Research Paperjournal articl

The directors of the company, when the company is operating normally, mainly consider the interests of the company. But when the company is operating difficultly, they must consider the interests of the company's creditors. In accordance with the general legal doctrine, there is no legal relationship between the directors and the creditors of the company. Because the directors did not consider the interests of the creditors of thecompany, investigated the responsibility of the directors, it is difficult to find a legal basis. In order to protect the interests of the creditors of the company, the section 588G of the Australian Corporations Act provides for directors the obligations to prevent the insolvent trading. The duty is a legal duty of the directors which is rare in the existing national laws. The following is, with reference to precedents, to review the applicationof the provisions in the case.7KJ00008701479論文journal articl

    Get PDF
A lot of children, brought up in IT society, are absorbed in TV and video games. Young people who are weak at thinking, imagining by themselves or keeping company with others are increasing. There are calls for the importance of reading picture books to children who have been brought up in such surroundings since their infancy. This study put special emphasis on babies. We carried out questionnaire to nursery school teachers, students majoring in nursing and their parents for the purpose of researching on what kind of picture books they actually chose and from which point of view they chose them. In addition, we took account of the interviews of some librarians. As a result of this research, the teachers' responses were similar to the students'. We wondered if it was because of the effects of nursing class and student teaching. In order to confirm this, we also carried out questionnaire to students majoring in other subjects. From this study, we think it is important for students to enjoy reading a lot of picture books for themselves and to take interest in the pleasure of reading through class and student teaching. We will aim to have our students accumulate some experiences in reading picture books and get abilities of choosing appropriate books according to circumstances from various viewpoints.14KJ00008701280論文journal articl
