    Artikel ini mengkaji sistem pendidikan bebas yang diterapkan oleh Sunan Giri sebagai strategi dakwah integratif di tengah masyarakat multikultural Gresik pada abad ke-15.  Sistem ini tidak terikat pada struktur kelembagaan formal, tetapi hadir sebagai sarana dakwah yang menyatu dengan budaya dan kehidupan masyarakat. Sunan Giri menyampaikan pendidikan Islam melalui pendekatan kultural yang mencakup bahasa, adat, tradisi, hingga kesenian lokal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berbasis penelitian lapangan (field research), dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa studi literatur dan wawancara mendalam kepada tokoh budaya dan ulama lokal. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis isi (content analysis), dengan tujuan untuk mengungkap relevansi dan nilai-nilai transformatif dari sistem pendidikan bebas ala Sunan Giri. Studi kritis ini bertujuan mengevaluasi pendekatan-pendekatan pendidikan yang digunakan, serta mengkaji efektivitasnya sebagai strategi dakwah yang berhasil mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Islam dengan kearifan lokal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem ini bukan sekadar pengajaran agama, tetapi juga pembinaan karakter, akulturasi budaya, serta strategi dakwah non-konfrontatif yang efektif membentuk masyarakat Muslim yang moderat dan berakar budaya. Konsep ini relevan untuk dijadikan inspirasi dalam merumuskan model pendidikan Islam kontemporer yang inklusif dan transformatif

    Pendampingan Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat di Pondok Pesantren Al-Ittihad Poncokusumo Malang

    Abstract The optimization of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior at Al-Ittihad Islamic Boarding School, Poncokusumo, aims to maximize education and mentoring to improve the health quality of students. This program is designed to raise awareness of the importance of cleanliness and health through educational approaches such as interactive seminars, educational media in the form of posters, and improved hygiene facilities. This approach is strengthened by Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) to empower the local assets of the boarding school. Over the course of onemonth, intensive mentoring was carried out through routine activities such as roan (communal cleaning), health exercises, the installation of educational stickers, and regular evaluations. The results showed increased awareness and participation of students in implementing PHBS. Collaboration among students, administrators, and the boarding school community served as a key indicator of the program\u27s success. Ongoing education and mentoring proved effective in creating a clean, healthy, and comfortable environment, while also shaping a healthy and productive young generation. This program can serve as a model for other boarding schools in supporting the health of the nation\u27s future generations. Program ini dirancang untuk membangun kesadaran akan pentingnya kebersihan dan kesehatan melalui pendekatan edukatif, seperti seminar interaktif, media edukasi berupa poster, dan peningkatan fasilitas kebersihan. Pendekatan ini diperkuat dengan Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) untuk memberdayakan aset lokal pesantren. Selama satu bulan, pendampingan intensif dilakukan melalui kegiatan rutin seperti ro’an, senam sehat, pemasangan stiker edukasi, dan evaluasi berkala. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan kesadaran dan partisipasi santri dalam menerapkan PHBS. Kolaborasi antara santri, pengurus, dan pihak pesantren menjadi indikator keberhasilan program ini. Edukasi dan pendampingan berkelanjutan terbukti efektif dalam menciptakan lingkungan pesantren yang bersih, sehat, dan nyaman, sekaligus membentuk generasi muda yang sehat dan produktif.     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sejauh mana kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di SMK Angkasa Mojokerto telah mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Islam Wasathiyah, serta mengidentifikasi strategi pengembangannya agar lebih kontekstual dan relevan terhadap karakteristik peserta didik SMK. Islam Wasathiyah merupakan pendekatan keislaman yang menekankan prinsip keseimbangan (tawazun), moderasi (tawassuth), toleransi (tasamuh), dan keadilan (i’tidal), yang sangat penting dalam membangun kesadaran keberagamaan yang damai dan inklusif, khususnya di kalangan pelajar vokasional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif dengan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui studi dokumentasi terhadap kurikulum PAI, wawancara mendalam dengan guru PAI, kepala sekolah, dan siswa, serta observasi partisipatif terhadap aktivitas pembelajaran dan keagamaan di sekolah. Teknik analisis data mengacu pada model Miles dan Huberman, yang mencakup reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, disertai triangulasi teknik dan sumber untuk menjaga validitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai Islam Wasathiyah telah mulai diintegrasikan dalam kurikulum PAI SMK Angkasa Mojokerto, meskipun masih bersifat parsial dan belum sistematis. Guru memiliki kesadaran pentingnya moderasi beragama, namun keterbatasan pemahaman konseptual dan pendekatan pedagogis menjadi tantangan utama. Di sisi lain, siswa menunjukkan respons positif terhadap nilai toleransi dan sikap inklusif, namun pemahaman tersebut belum sepenuhnya mendalam dan konsisten. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan kebijakan sekolah, pelatihan guru, serta revisi kurikulum nasional untuk memasukkan nilai-nilai wasathiyah secara eksplisit dalam struktur dan praktik pembelajaran PAI

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan metode mendongeng dalam pembentukan karakter Islami pada anak usia dini di TK Harapan Surabaya, mengidentifikasi nilai-nilai karakter yang disampaikan melalui cerita, serta menganalisis dampaknya terhadap perilaku anak. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus dan kajian kepustakaan, penelitian menemukan bahwa mendongeng menjadi media yang efektif dalam menanamkan nilai kejujuran, tanggung jawab, kedisiplinan, empati, dan sopan santun. Guru menggunakan berbagai teknik seperti variasi suara, ekspresi, alat peraga, dan diskusi reflektif untuk memperkuat pemahaman nilai moral anak. Hasilnya, anak menunjukkan perubahan perilaku positif seperti peningkatan fokus, kebiasaan salam, kepedulian terhadap teman, dan kemandirian. Faktor pendukung penelitian meliputi kebiasaan sekolah, kesadaran anak, serta keterlibatan orang tua, sementara faktor penghambat mencakup latar belakang keluarga, pengaruh lingkungan, dan keterbatasan sarana. Secara keseluruhan, metode mendongeng terbukti efektif dan relevan sebagai pendekatan pembelajaran karakter Islami pada anak usia dini

    The purpose of this study was to analyze how was the efforts of the principal of SMKN 1 Sedan in preventing bullying. This study used a qualitative research method using a case study. Data collection techniques included detailed interviews and observations. Data analysis involved data reduction, data presentation, data validity checking through data triangulation, and drawing conclusions. The research findings revealed that the headmaster of SMKN 1 Sedan conducted a Bullying Prevention Socialization program, which included the presentation of material on bullying and evaluation of the activity using pre- and post-tests.     Egaliter merupakan sikap kesetaraan atau sederajat yang harus dimiliki oleh masyarakat dalam berinteraksi sosial, untuk mewujudkan suatu hubungan yang harmonis serta sejahtera di lingkungan masyarakat, yang mana sikap egaliter memiliki nilai-nilai untuk saling menghargai, menghormati, memahami, dan membantu dalam lingkup sosial masyarakat. Demikian dalam hal ini al-Qur’an membahas bahwa kemuliaan manusia di ukur dari kadar ketakwaan di sisi Allah SWT bukan dalam segi keturunan, kedudukan, gender, dan sebagainnya. Metode penulisan ini menggunakan penelitian pustaka (library research) yakni mengumpulkan data-data yang diperoleh melalui kitab tafsir, buku, dan artikel ilmiah dengan metode tematik (maudhu’i).     This study aims to identify strategies for strengthening religious identity through the transformation of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah (Aswaja) in Islamic boarding school-based institutions. A library research method with thematic analysis of recent scholarly sources was employed. The findings reveal five key components of effective strategies: integrating Aswaja values into the syllabus, interactive and applicative learning, kyai and teacher leadership as role models, authentic evaluation based on moderation competencies, and continuous policy and teacher training support. These strategies enhance Aswaja identity awareness and foster inclusive religious engagement, enabling pesantren to remain adaptive to contemporary challenges while preserving Islamic scholarly traditions

    In the context of Islamic education, teacher quality is a crucial indicator that determines both the success of the institution and the learning outcomes of students. This study aims to describe the strategies employed by the principal of MTsS Manbaul Ulum Bondowoso in improving teacher quality. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected using the simak libat cakap method, which involved attentive observation of the principal’s presentation of strategies, supported by recording, note-taking, and interviews with relevant stakeholders. The data analysis process was carried out systematically through the stages of transcription, reduction, classification, tabulation, validation, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. Transcription converted oral data into written form, followed by data reduction to filter relevant information in line with the research focus. Subsequently, the data were classified by type, tabulated using a coding system, and validated through clarification with the principal, vice principals for curriculum and student affairs, as well as teachers. The final stage involved interpretation and formulation of conclusions. The findings reveal that the principal implemented transformational leadership strategies, continuous professional development, systematic internal supervision, and the creation of a collaborative work culture. These strategies proved effective in enhancing teachers’ pedagogical competence, professionalism, and commitment to the institution’s vision and mission. The results underscore the importance of strengthening the principal’s leadership role as a key factor in fostering a sustainable culture of quality in Islamic educational settings

    Toward a Religious-Oriented Model of Speaking Assessment: Evidence from English Teachers in Islamic Secondary Schools

    The domain of speaking assessment has been rigorously examined within applied linguistics. Nevertheless, many contemporary investigations predominantly emphasize elements such as delivery methodologies, linguistic standards, and the validation processes of assessment instruments, frequently overlooking the incorporation of ethical and religious considerations. This research investigates the views and practices of English teachers regarding speaking assessment in Islamic high schools in East Java, aiming to develop a framework that is more attuned to cultural needs. Using a qualitative descriptive methodology, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, document analysis, and stimulated recall interviews with four intentionally selected teachers. The findings reveal that educators perceive the evaluation of speaking as serving a bifunctional purpose: gauging linguistic competence (encompassing aspects such as pronunciation, fluency, and grammatical accuracy) and promoting the development of students’ moral and religious principles, including attributes like politeness, respectfulness, and integrity. Prevailing methodologies predominantly emphasize performance-oriented tasks, the implementation of analytic assessment rubrics, and the provision of corrective feedback; however, they infrequently integrate ethical standards cohesively and systematically. In light of these outcomes, the study puts forward the Religious-Values Infused Speaking Assessment (RV-ISA), which aligns CEFR descriptors with Islamic ethical principles (e.g., ṣidq, ḥilm, ḥusn al-khuluq). Conceptually, this broadens the understanding of speaking assessment to encompass value-oriented factors. This model offers teachers a clear and context-sensitive rubric, enhancing communicative competence and character education within Islamic educational settings

    THE INFLUENCE OF LEARNING CLIMATE AND LEARNING STYLES ON CREATIVITY IN PRIMARY ISLAMIC EDUCATION

    This study aims to analyze the influence of learning climate and learning styles on students\u27 creativity in Islamic Education. Employing a quantitative approach with a correlational design, the research involved 42 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires to measure learning climate, learning styles, and student creativity, and subsequently analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings indicate a significant positive influence of both learning climate and learning styles on students\u27 creativity. Specifically, the regression analysis yielded coefficients of 0.240 for learning climate and 0.269 for learning styles, confirming that both variables contribute significantly to the outcome. The Adjusted R Square value of 0.148 reveals that learning climate and learning styles explain 14.8% of the variance in student creativity, while the remaining 85.2% is attributed to other factors outside the scope of this study. These results suggest that optimizing the classroom environment and accommodating diverse learning preferences are essential, though not exclusive, strategies for fostering creativity
