    MINDFUL, JOYFUL, DAN MEANINGFUL MELALUI BUKU CERITA ANAK

    This program was conducted to improve the competencies of elementary school teachers at the Laboratory School of Universitas Negeri Malang through the use of children’s storybooks as cross-subject learning media. A total of 25 teachers, teaching Javanese, Physical Education, English, Indonesian, Mathematics, and Science, participated in an in–on–in training model, consisting of face-to-face sessions, online mentoring, and classroom practice. The training materials included the introduction of children’s storybooks, strategies for integrating them into classroom activities, and practical exercises in designing innovative lesson plans. The results of the program revealed a high level of teacher enthusiasm in developing interactive learning by using children’s storybooks, both as a literacy resource and as contextual media across subject areas. Teachers were also trained to follow a systematic process: analyzing learning objectives, selecting appropriate storybooks, preparing pre-reading, while-reading, and post-reading activities, determining relevant assessments, and designing worksheets. This program had a positive impact on enhancing teachers’ competencies in designing mindful, joyful, and meaningful learning that is relevant to students’ needs

    This article discusses the local traditions of Kenduri, Selametan, Tahlilan, and Maulid Nabi from the perspective of Islam Nusantara, focusing on their meanings, the Islamic values they embody, and the controversies surrounding these practices in Indonesia. This phenomenon illustrates the process of acculturation between Islamic teachings and established local cultural wisdom, but faces ideological polemics between traditionalist and reformist groups. The main issues addressed in this article are how these traditions are understood by the community, what Islamic values they contain, and how the controversies surrounding their legal status can be analysed in greater depth. The research method used is a literature study, reviewing various relevant literature to comprehensively analyse the four traditions. The results show that Kenduri, Selametan, Tahlilan, and Maulid Nabi contain Islamic values such as gratitude, togetherness, ukhuwah Islamiyah (Islamic brotherhood), and the strengthening of social morals. However, these traditions face controversy, particularly regarding whether they are sunnah or bid\u27ah, which creates tension between puritan and traditionalist groups. Further discussion reveals that Islam Nusantara offers a moderate model of religiosity, balancing text and cultural context, and supporting inclusiveness and social harmony

    Seminar Pendidikan Karakter Generasi Z pada Era Digital bagi Peserta Didik di SMP Amanatulloh Banyuwangi

    Abstract Character education is currently very important for the younger generation, as they will become the benchmark for the success of national development. Whether acknowledged or not, the character of today’s youth has recently experienced significant moral degradation. This community service activity was conducted in collaboration with users through a triangular model, in which the functions of research, counseling, and users are interconnected, forming a reciprocal triangular relationship. The model implemented in the field consists of four stages: action/experience, reflection, integration, and planning. As an operational process, the activity emphasizes pragmatism, beginning with identifying, understanding, and solving real problems, followed by reflection. The results of this community service activity indicate an increase in students’ understanding and awareness at SMP Amanatulloh Banyuwangi regarding the importance of character education for Generation Z in the digital era, as well as encouraging its application in daily life. Keywords: Character Education, Digital Era, Generation Z Abstrak Pendidikan karakter saat ini sangat penting untuk generasi muda, karena generasi muda akan menjadi tolak ukur keberhasilan pembangunan bangsa.  Diakui ataupun tidak bahwa karakter generasi muda akhir-akhir ini banyak mengalami kelunturan yang sangat dahsyat. Kegiatan pengabdi ini bekerjasama dengan pengguna dengan model triangular yaitu antara fungsi penelitian, penyuluhan, dan pengguna terjadi saling hubungan, sehingga membentuk segitiga hubungan timbal balik (triangular). Model yang diterapkan dilapangan, meliputi empat langkah, yaitu: aksi/mengalami, refleksi, integrasi, dan perencanaan. Sebagai proses kegiatan operasionalnya menekankan pragmatisme yang dimulai dari mengidentifikasi, memahami, dan memecahkan masalah riil, lalu merefleksikannya lagi. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan kesadaran peserta didik SMP Amanatulloh Banyuwangi tentang pentingnya pendidikan karakter bagi Generasi Z di era digital, serta mendorong penerapannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.     Pelatihan Pembuatan Jadwal Imsakiyah Berbasis Waktu Salat Lokal

    Abstract The determination of prayer times (salat) and Imsakiyah (the schedule for fasting, especially the pre-dawn meal cutoff time) plays a crucial role in the worship practices of Muslims, particularly during the month of Ramadan. However, variations in calculation methods and locational references often lead to inaccuracies in the Imsakiyah schedule, which can disrupt worship. This research aims to enhance the understanding and skills of students from the Student Da\u27wah Institute (LDM) in compiling local prayer time-based Imsakiyah schedules through digital technology-based training. Using a participatory method with an educational and practical hisab (astronomical calculation) approach. The results showed a significant increase in participant understanding (from 20% to 85%) and the ability to compile the Imsakiyah schedule with 90% accuracy. This approach proved effective in empowering students to produce schedules that conform to local geographical conditions, thereby supporting the quality of worship and utilizing digital technology for community empowerment. Abstrak Penentuan waktu salat dan Imsakiyah (jadwal puasa, khususnya batas waktu sahur) memegang peranan penting dalam praktik ibadah umat Islam, terutama pada bulan Ramadan. Namun, perbedaan metode perhitungan dan acuan lokasi sering kali menyebabkan ketidakakuratan dalam jadwal Imsakiyah, yang dapat mengganggu pelaksanaan ibadah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan mahasiswa Lembaga Dakwah Mahasiswa (LDM) dalam menyusun jadwal Imsakiyah berbasis waktu salat lokal melalui pelatihan berbasis teknologi digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode partisipatif dengan pendekatan edukatif dan praktis hisab (perhitungan astronomis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta (dari 20% menjadi 85%) serta kemampuan menyusun jadwal Imsakiyah dengan tingkat akurasi mencapai 90%. Pendekatan ini terbukti efektif dalam memberdayakan mahasiswa untuk menghasilkan jadwal yang sesuai dengan kondisi geografis lokal, sehingga mendukung kualitas ibadah serta pemanfaatan teknologi digital untuk pemberdayaan masyarakat.     KONSEP PEMBELAJARAN CODING DAN IMPLIKASINYA DALAM KURIKULUM NASIONAL: The Concept of Coding Learning and its Implications in the National Curriculum

    The development of information and communication technology has brought major changes in various aspects of life, including in the field of education. One of the skills that is increasingly important in this digital era is programming (coding). This article discusses the urgency of including coding subjects into the education curriculum in Indonesia, the benefits that students can get, and the challenges in its implementation. Through literature studies and education policy analysis, this article shows that coding not only improves technical skills but also critical thinking, problem solving, and creativity of students. This policy has benefits that are much needed in the current era 4.0 and society 5.0. For educational, social, business and innovation needs in various fields. In addition to the benefits, there are challenges that must be faced by the government and society in implementing this policy, developing human resources, completing infrastructure, collaborating with the technology industry and others. Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi telah membawa perubahan besar dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan, termasuk dalam bidang pendidikan. Salah satu keterampilan yang semakin penting di era digital ini adalah pemrograman (coding). Artikel ini membahas tentang integrasi pembelajaran coding ke dalam kurikulum nasional, manfaat yang bisa didapatkan murid, dan tantangan dalam implementasinya. Melalui studi literatur dan analisis kebijakan pendidikan, artikel ini menunjukkan bahwa coding tidak hanya meningkatkan keterampilan teknis tetapi juga berpikir kritis, pemecahan masalah, dan kreativitas. Kebijakan ini memiliki manfaat yang sangat dibutuhkan di era 4.0 dan masyarakat 5.0 saat ini. Untuk kebutuhan pendidikan, sosial, bisnis, dan inovasi di berbagai bidang. Selain manfaat, ada tantangan yang harus dihadapi pemerintah dan masyarakat dalam mengimplementasikan kebijakan ini, antara lain mengembangkan kualitas sumber daya manusia, melengkapi infrastruktur, berkolaborasi dengan industri teknologi dan lainnya.     This article describes the strategies used by Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in developing PAI materials based on local wisdom at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) in Pasuruan City. This study uses a qualitative approach and case study method. The research subjects were PAI teachers at MAN Pasuruan City, while the principal, vice principal for curriculum, and students served as supporting informants. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively with triangulation of sources and methods to ensure data validity. The results showed that Islamic Education teachers at MAN Kota Pasuruan developed Islamic Education materials based on local wisdom through several strategies: First, identifying the cultural values and religious traditions of the Pasuruan community that are in line with Islamic teachings, such as respect for local scholars such as Mbah Hamid. Second, integrating these values into Islamic Education materials, particularly in the areas of faith, morals, and Islamic history. Third, linking learning to cultural practices and students\u27 daily lives. Fourth, utilizing extracurricular activities and collaboration with local communities to strengthen contextual learning. Thus, this article emphasizes the importance of applying a contextual approach based on local wisdom in PAI learning to increase the relevance, understanding, and internalization of Islamic values for students in their daily lives. Artikel ini menjelaskan strategi guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam mengembangkan materi PAI berbasis kearifan lokal di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Kota Pasuruan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan jenis studi kasus. Subjek penelitian adalah guru PAI di MAN Kota Pasuruan, sedangkan Kepala Madrasah, Wakil Kepala Bidang Kurikulum, dan siswa menjadi informan pendukung. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, lalu dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan triangulasi sumber dan metode untuk menjamin keabsahan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PAI di MAN Kota Pasuruan mengembangkan materi PAI berbasis kearifan lokal melalui beberapa strategi: Pertama, mengidentifikasi nilai-nilai budaya dan tradisi religius masyarakat Pasuruan yang selaras dengan ajaran Islam, misalnya penghormatan terhadap ulama lokal seperti Mbah Hamid. Kedua, mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai tersebut ke dalam materi PAI, khususnya akidah, akhlak, dan sejarah Islam. Ketiga, mengaitkan pembelajaran dengan praktik budaya dan kehidupan sehari-hari siswa. Keempat, memanfaatkan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dan kerja sama dengan komunitas lokal untuk memperkuat pembelajaran kontekstual. Dengan demikian, artikel ini menegaskan pentingnya penerapan pendekatan kontekstual berbasis kearifan lokal dalam pembelajaran PAI untuk meningkatkan relevansi, pemahaman, dan internalisasi nilai-nilai Islam bagi siswa dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.     IMPLEMENTASI PERANGKAT DIGITAL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEAKTIFAN SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN: Implementation of Digital Devices to Enhance Student Engagement in Learning

    Collaboration between education and technology can support the advancement of learning systems. However, the implementation of technology in education still poses many problems. This study analyzes the implementation of digital devices in learning using a qualitative approach and a literature review. Data were obtained using documentation techniques from various literature relevant to the research theme. The results of this study show that the implementation of digital devices accompanied by appropriate learning strategies has been proven to increase student activity in learning. The strategy for developing digital devices in learning requires the participation and leadership of a good principal, the development of human resource competencies, the integration of technology into learning, and external support. The advantages of digital-based learning are: visualization, variety, interactivity, accessibility, creativity, and flexibility. Meanwhile, the disadvantages include: lack of confidence among educators, ignorance among educators, unequal digital access, external disturbances, differences in student learning styles, and cost and digital skills. Kolaborasi antara pendidikan dan teknologi dapat menunjang kemajuan sistem pembelajaran. Namun, implementasi teknologi dalam pendidikan masih menimbulkan banyak permasalahan. Penelitian ini menganalisis implementasi perangkat digital dalam pembelajaran dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan jenis penelitian studi pustaka. Data diperoleh dengan teknik dokumentasi dari berbagai literatur yang relevan dengan tema penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini memaparkan bahwa implementasi perangkat digital yang disertai strategi pembelajaran yang tepat, terbukti meningkatkan keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Strategi pengembangan perangkat digital dalam pembelajaran membutuhkan peran serta kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang baik, pengembangan kompetensi SDM, integrasi teknologi ke dalam pembelajaran dan dukungan eksternal. Kelebihan pembelajaran berbasis digital adalah: Visualisasi, Varifatif, Interaktif, Aksesibilitas, Kreativitas dan Fleksibilitas. Sedangkan kelemahannya antara lain: Kurangnya kepercayaan diri pendidik, Ketidaktahuan pendidik, Ketidaksetaraan akses digital, Gangguan eksternal, Perbedaan gaya belajar siswa serta Biaya dan keterampilan digital.     The aim of this research is to analyze the problems faced by students in religious education at SDN 1 Asrikaton. Using a qualitative approach and case study methodology, data was collected through interviews with school principals, religious education teachers and students, as well as direct observation of learning activities. Research findings show that the main problems students face are lack of motivation, limited learning opportunities, and lack of parental involvement in their children\u27s religious education. In addition, some students have difficulty understanding religious content which is considered difficult and uninteresting. This research aims to provide a general overview of the challenges in religious education in elementary schools and recommendations for improving education to make it more effective and interesting for students

    This study aims to obtain accurate data on the role of Qur’an and Hadith teachers in increasing students’ interest in reading the Qur’an at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Attaufiq Maralleng Barru. The research conducted is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques include field observation, interviews with relevant parties, and documentation. The collected data were then displayed, reduced, verified, and presented in the form of descriptions and critical analysis. The results of the study show that the role of Qur’an and Hadith teachers as motivators is crucial in enhancing students’ interest in reading the Qur’an, particularly through the implementation of teaching strategies and methods in the Qur’an-Hadith subject. One such strategy is reading aloud, accompanied by memorization of short surahs, in addition to the use of classical methods (classical read-listen), individual methods, drill (practice) methods, and assignment methods adjusted to the material being studie

    Virtual School Tours: Boosting Community Interest and Attracting Prospective Students

    This study aims to understand the role of Virtual School Tours (VSTs) in helping schools expand their information reach, present their facilities more persuasively, increase data transparency, and strengthen relationships with prospective students. The study employed a qualitative approach. Data were obtained through in-depth conversations with school officials, direct observation of various digital platforms used for publication, and document searches related to the dissemination of school information. The research findings indicate that VSTs enable the public to gain an overview of the school without having to physically attend, thus making access to information easier and more inclusive. The presentation of facilities through videos and digital tours provides a more vivid picture of the school\u27s strengths. Information transparency increased because the data displayed on official channels was more organized and easily accessible. Furthermore, interaction with prospective students increased along with the increase in responses
