Exploring Teachers’ Motivational Strategies: Validation and Application of the Teachers’ Student Motivation Scale (TSMS)
This study investigates the motivational strategies employed by teachers through the application of the Teachers’ Student Motivation Scale (TSMS), a psychometrically validated instrument designed to assess teachers’ approaches to student motivation. The TSMS comprises 32 scenario-based items categorized into four sub-dimensions: high-level control, moderate-level control, moderate-level autonomy support, and high-level autonomy support. Utilizing a 5-point Likert scale, the scale captures the frequency and appropriateness of teachers’ motivational behaviors. The study evaluates the reliability and validity of the TSMS, reporting satisfactory internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha ranging from 0.75 to 0.78 across sub-dimensions) and significant correlations with the Student Locus of Control Scale, indicating meaningful relationships between motivational strategies and students’ locus of control. Data analysis, including independent samples t-tests, explores variations in motivational strategies by teacher gender. Findings highlight the role of control and autonomy-supportive strategies in fostering student motivation, with implications for teacher training and educational practice. This research contributes to the understanding of motivational aspects in educational settings and offers an appropriate tool for future studies
The Role of Attitudes, Skills, and Demographic Factors in Using Generative Artificial Intelligence for English Learning
This study explores the role of attitudes, skills, and demographic factors in the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) for English language learning among students at MAN 3 Pekanbaru. Employing a quantitative survey design, data were collected through a structured questionnaire distributed to 417 students. The instrument consisted of 53 items measuring attitudes, skills, frequency of use, and demographic characteristics. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS 4 to test measurement validity and structural relationships among variables. The findings revealed that both attitudes toward AI (β = 0.347, p < 0.001) and skills in using AI (β = 0.232, p < 0.001) had a significant positive effect on the frequency of AI use. Gender also significantly influenced frequency (β = -0.205, p < 0.001) and skills (β = -0.167, p = 0.001), indicating disparities between male and female students. Additionally, training experience had a significant impact on AI skills (β = 0.168, p < 0.001), and indirectly influenced frequency of use through skills (β = 0.039, p = 0.014). In contrast, age and grade did not show significant effects on the main constructs. Measurement results demonstrated good reliability and validity: all constructs showed Composite Reliability > 0.90 and Average Variance Extracted (AVE) > 0.60, with outer loadings > 0.70 for retained items. These findings suggest that fostering positive attitudes and improving students’ technical skills are key to enhancing the effective use of Generative AI in language learning. The study concludes that demographic factors like training and gender have notable influence, while age and grade play less significant role
The Cultural Meaning of Lexicons in “Ngusaba Bukakak” Ritual in Giri Emas Village
One of the endangered traditions in Indonesia is the Ngusaba Bukakak ritual in Giri Emas Village, North Bali, which is a biennial agricultural ceremony dedicated to Dewi Sri, the goddess of fertility. Therefore, this study focuses on the identification, description, and interpretation of the lexicon used in the ritual to reveal its cultural meaning and contribution to Balinese identity. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with ritual experts, and document analysis using a qualitative design framed by linguistic ethnography. Informants were selected using snowball sampling, which included the Traditional Village Head, Village Stakeholders, and Banten Serati, who had in-depth knowledge of ritual language. With triangulation ensuring data validity, the analysis followed Miles and Huberman\u27s interactive model. The results of this study revealed that there are seventy lexicons spread across twelve stages of the ritual, including offerings, sacred objects, ritual actions, dances, and spiritual processions. These lexicons embody philosophical principles such as Tri Hita Karana which expresses harmony with God, society, and nature. This study concludes that the ritual lexicon functions as a linguistic element and as a cultural carrier that maintains Balinese identity, where its preservation is important for cultural sustainability, intergenerational transmission, and the protection of intangible heritage
Learning Challenges and Perceptions Toward Audiobook-Based English Learning at SLB Negeri 1 Tabanan
English learning for visually impaired students still faces various challenges, particularly due to the limited availability of learning media suited to their needs. This study aims to analyze the challenges and perceptions of teachers and visually impaired students toward the use of audiobooks in English learning at SLB Negeri 1 Tabanan. This research was designed as a qualitative study, with data collected through interviews. Then, Miles and Huberman’s theory is used in analysing data where data analysis consists of four parts: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. Researchers used interviews to collect data with one English teacher and four visually impaired students to obtain deeper insights into their learning challenges, experiences with existing media, and expectations of audiobook-based English learning. The study results are. First, teachers faced limitations in accessing and developing learning media, so they relied mainly on braille, WhatsApp voice notes, and the Merdeka Mengajar modules. Second, students experienced difficulties in using braille, felt bored with monotonous media, and required more varied and engaging audio-based resources. Third, both teachers and students expressed positive perceptions of audiobooks, considering them practical, flexible, and capable of enhancing learning motivation. They expected audiobooks with short duration, clear and expressive narration, bilingual content, and replayable features. The findings reinforce the importance of adopting inclusive, flexible, and learner-centered approaches in special education settings, particularly through the use of audiobooks
Culturally Responsive Teaching dan Relevansinya dengan Konsep IPA dalam Budaya Jawa Barat: Systematic Literature Review Menggunakan PRISMA
In order to accommodate students\u27 varied cultural backgrounds and improve their educational experiences, culturally responsive teaching, or CRT, must be incorporated into science instruction. This study used a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) as its research method, following the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) standards. In order to investigate the connection between science concepts and West Java culture, this process entails “identification, screening, and included” of pertinent literature. It follows methodical and open procedures to guarantee the validity and reliability of the results. The findings of the analysis show that seventh, eighth, and ninth graders\u27 science concepts are strongly tied to West Java cultural elements, such as traditional musical instruments, traditional sports, traditional foods, traditional dances, folk entertainment, and agricultural practices. This integration of local culture into the science curriculum enhances students\u27 understanding and respect of their heritage while also making the learning environment more engaging

Komparasi Model Pengembangan SDM Sekolah di Negara Maju dan Negara Berkembang dalam Implementasi TQM
The implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in education demands a transformation of Human Resources (HR) from administrative executors to autonomous agents of change. This study aims to compare school HR development models between developed and developing countries and to analyze the hindering factors for TQM implementation in developing nations. Using a library research method with a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this study synthesizes data from reputable journals and international reports. The findings reveal fundamental disparities: developed countries employ school-based professional development models (bottom-up), strict meritocratic recruitment, and instructional leadership. Conversely, developing countries tend to use centralized approaches (top-down), are constrained by politicized recruitment, and are trapped in a culture of administrative compliance. In conclusion, TQM adaptation in developing countries cannot merely imitate technical procedures but must be accompanied by an organizational cultural transformation towards intrinsic professionalism and responsible decentralization

Nilai-nilai Islam dalam Manajemen Pendidikan: Kajian Filosofis Konstruktivistik melalui Pendekatan Systematic Literature Review
This research aims to analyze the reconstruction of Islamic values in education management through a philosophical approach and a constructivist paradigm. Strengthening values such as trust, fairness, sincerity, deliberation, and itqan is becoming increasingly important because management practices in various Islamic educational institutions still show administrative tendencies that ignore spiritual, ethical, and humanistic dimensions. To answer these problems, this study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with the PRISMA 2020 model, which selects scientific articles published in 2020–2025 from Google Scholar, Crossref, DOAJ, and Garuda. Of the 72 articles identified, eight met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed through thematic analysis techniques. The results of the study show that Islamic values have a fundamental position in building an educational management paradigm that is not only oriented towards efficiency, but also on the formation of organizational character and spirituality. The values of trust and fairness strengthen the integrity and fairness of decision-making, the values of sincerity and deliberation encourage participation and harmonization of working relationships, while the value of itqan emphasizes the importance of professionalism and quality culture in education governance. The integration of these five values philosophically forms an ontological, epistemological, and axiological framework for Islamic education management that is contextual and adaptive according to the constructivistic paradigm. This research contributes to providing a systematic conceptual mapping of the role of Islamic values in education management, as well as offering a philosophical framework that can be used as a basis for the sustainable development of policies, leadership, and governance of Islamic educational institutions
